Best Late Night Taco Restaurants in Austin | Eater Austin

"For an absolutely ginormous menu, head to this East Cesar Chavez joint, which is open until 2 a.m. Monday and Tuesday and 24 hours a day starting at 5 a.m. Wednesday. (Yeah, that’s a little confusing! Just go with it.) Order pretty much anything with chorizo in it." - Darcie Duttweiler

The place looks closed and empty when you pass by it but it is full when you pull around! I ordered the molcajete, it was amazing! My buddy and I ordered it, food was still sizzling as they brought it out, the combination of shrimp, beef, and chicken was incredibly flavorful. The portions could have been a bit more generous, but they did bring out a side of rice and beans, which helped fill us up. The real showstopper for me was the michelada. I haven't seen one prepared like this in a while. They served it with the tomato juice already in the glass, and then the beer bottle was set upside down in a holder clip, slowly refilling the glass as you drank. It was a cool way to keep the drink fresh. The service was alright our server was pretty inattentive. We were ready for more drinks, but she rarely checked in with us. It seemed like she was spending a lot of time chatting and hanging out with another group, possibly friends, which meant most of her attention was diverted from other tables, including ours. This made us feel ready to leave sooner than we would have otherwise.

Hands down the absolute best drinks. Definitely get a margarita flight. Tim was an amazing bartender! He is the one to go to for sure! The food was WAY above par and for the price everything was absolutely worth it. We will be coming back for sure.

Upon entering for lunch at 11:17 am we were greeted by a wonderful man who sat us immediately at the first table he had which was close to the door it was perfect as my mother does not walk very well. Was super pleased with the service, food the amount of food and of course the staff!!! Loved that the host sang off and on and joked with the customers. Will certainly be back. Can’t wait to try other items on the menu.

There are plenty of Mexican restaurants everywhere, but this place has a truly playful, fun atmosphere, great service, and really incredible food. The ceviche is incredible, the chile rellenos perfection and carnitas are amazing. Worth the trek to Marshfield for sure.

My step dad has been taking us here for a few years. Love the decor! Overall everything has been good. A few disappointments....there was pineapple core in my pineapple fajita. And any other thing was just a relative thing....not to my preference. Most things have been to my liking, coming out nice and hot! The fresh guac is very good as is any of their pork carnita dishes! And in all my experiences the wait staff is always hustling! (FYI....they are hiring!) We will definitely be back!

My wife and myself have been coming here off and on for over a year and we are never disappointed. I believe they have the absolute best queso in the area! Service is always friendly and exceptional. The food is awesome and the price to portion ratio is wonderful. I love their salsa, too! I will warn you, though, it can be spicy sometimes. Not sure what happens, but sometimes it is milder, and other times spicy. I prefer it when it is spicy! I have never had a bad meal here and I have tried a variety of menu items, as has my wife and it's always good. It's easy to forget the place used to be an automotive garage of some kind! It's clean and very colorful! It is absolutely our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area (hands down better than anything in Springfield).

Delicious!!! The salsa and chips are on point!!! Had the ribeye with shrimp covered in cheese sauce... can't remember the name but it comes with rice and a baked tater. Sugarbritches had the green chili Verde. A must try if you haven't.

Google
Used to love this place, but the last two times I’ve been in the service was terrible. Food was not what it once was. There was a really sweet waitress that could tell our server was not doing his job and she tried her best to help us when she could. Our waiter kept hiding and trying to avoid doing his job. The last waitress we had expected us to basically wait our own table, she made the experience very awkward. I’m so sad because I held this place on a pedestal compared to other Mexican restaurants in this area and now it’s crap.

Yelp
Friends brought us here while visiting the area. The interior is cute, with colorful chairs and nice pictures on the wall. Our server quickly brought us chips and our own individual bowl of salsa. The sauce was hot and very tasty. The menu was nice, with lots of choices. I settled on the Enchilada Mexicanas which was 2 enchiladas, salad, rice and beans. I opted for no beans and they gave me double rice. Food arrived quickly and looked delicious. I got one chicken and one ground beef and they were both delicious. The rice was very good. Service was great and food was also. Would absolutely return.

Yelp
It's surprising easy to find a decent Mexican food place in Springfield but not so much in Marshfield. I'm glad we stumbled across this place because the food here is outstanding. I had the Chili Colorado with Carne Asada with green sauce which unfortunately didn't do it for me. The wife had the pork in green sauce however and it was exceptional. I'll make sure to order it the next time we swing by here. The queso was really good as well.

Yelp
There isn't an option to review the newly opened location in Ozark, but I went there last night for dinner and it was amazing! First off, the prices were the best I have seen in a while, and the quality of the food was just as excellent. The workers were very kind and friendly for our entire visit. Loved the music as well. Will be joining them again next week for Taco Tuesday!

Yelp
Have been quite often. The service has always been great, the food is delicious and the ambience is good, a little noisy, but to be expected In a large area with a lot of people. Love this place!

Yelp
The food here is beyond amazing. I am currently working my way through the menu. Unless you have a large group, the medium cheese dip is huge. It is a large boat of the golden nectar of cheese, the large is two boats. The service is always cheerful and fantastic. The owners are wonderful and a great addition to Marshfield.

Yelp
Outstanding customer service and food! Food came out fast and hot just like you would expect!

Yelp
Friday night. Busy. Short wait. Great people watching time. Seated at a table. Drink orders brought promptly. Huge menu. Party of 4. We all liked what we ate. My wife enjoyed her shrimp dish and my tamale and burrito rice beans were good as well. Nice new building. Plenty of tables and staff. Waitress was good. Checked back multiple times and offered us to go drinks when we left. Salsa was just right for me. Bit spicy and thickness was enough to hold onto chip which is like. Flavorful. Not just hot. We will return when in Marshfield.

Yelp
People in Marshfield already know! It's a little out of the way from interstate 44. But it's fantastic. Well worth it.

Yelp
This Restaurant was truly exceptional, the service was amazing and the place was well decorated. The food was great to, except the chicken was a little dry other than that it was amazing. They even gave us extra chips when we left.

Yelp
Neat little restaurant in Marshfield with good menu selections. Nice ambience. Their Guacamole Fresca is out of this world!

Yelp
The food is good. But pay with CASH to avoid a 3% upcharge and be sure to have the server bring your check to the table so you can read it carefully.

Yelp
The food was better than fast food. My quesadilla didn't stay on the grill long enough to melt the cheese so I had semi cold cheese in my quesadilla. The birria tacos had good flavor. The air scent sprayer at the front door was so strong and artificial that I literally waved my arms as I walked through the parking lot in an effort to remove the scent from my clothes. Also, the waitress was very overworked but did her best! I wonder if she received the full tip I left on my check or if the restaurant took 3% out of her check for me paying with a credit card since they had charged me 3% for my credit card use. Overall not that good of an experience.

Yelp
Would not recommend or go back. Food wasn't terrible, but it was very plain and bland - and for what it was, expensive. Cheese enchiladas are generally a rolled tortilla with some cream sauce and/or cheese & onions... theirs? Just a little cheese in a rolled tortilla with some canned? red enchilada sauce. Bland. Taco meat didn't taste seasoned. Staff OK. Nice building but that's about all I can say.

Yelp
This is Marshfield's new hot spot. Have eaten there only once and loved it. I am going back today and meeting some friends for lunch. Love the staff, my favorite waitress is Rachel. She is helpful and even suggested a new salsa (at least new to me) since everything seemed too mild. Good food, classic Mexican ambience and music, fair prices, good location, great service, fun place to meet friends. Will go back again and again. :)
