I normally only write a review for a place that I have been to two to three times and the experience has been consistent! I have been twice with my friends who love to have breakfast here and on both occasions I just had the Cuban Cafe Con Leche that’s is served like the way we serve tea: A small tea pot with very strong tea and another pot with hot hot water. This way you can dilute your tea however strong or light you want it. So you get served a pot with strong espresso coffee and a larger pot with hot foamed steamed milk so you can dilute your strong coffee your way … And I really liked their coffee, so I wanna go back … And I recommend that you go try that too!

Moy Incredibleeee!!! This food speaks to your soul - made with love apparently. First time here and I lived in Oakland Park 30 + years! I got a must cortadito + croquettas + passion fruit juice + Tuesday special, which was a carne soupita. Now Im smiling for the day and not hungry til tomorrow!

If you want good food go here. Picadillo, arroz moro, and Maduros were A+ And the Desayuno Las Colinas was my pick for breakfast and don’t miss the café cubano. Any time I’m in the area I will make a point to stop here. Don’t miss it.

I highly value this restaurant, primarily due to the exceptional friendliness of its service staff, a rare and appreciated quality in today's environment. If you are seeking Latin American cuisine, I strongly recommend a visit. On days when I prefer not to cook, I frequently stop by to purchase empanadas and other favorite dishes. I believe you will find it equally enjoyable.

3/24/25——Another Cuban restaurant! Today is my little sister’s birthday, and since she keeps saying she wants to marry a Christian Cuban man, I thought—why not help her dream come true, at least halfway? So, I celebrated her birthday at a Cuban restaurant. I took a Lyft from my hotel. It was about 15 minutes with no traffic, which in Florida feels like winning the lottery. When I arrived, I was happy to see it was a regular Cuban place—the kind I like. No fancy lights, no Instagram traps—just good food and strong coffee. As I walked in, I had a weird flashback. I thought, “Wait, have I been here before?” I checked my Google Maps reviews like a detective, but nope, no trace. Guess I haven’t. I chose a seat at the last row of tables, you know, the kind of seat where the wise people sit—close to the exit and far from drama. At the entrance, there was a table covered in business cards, flyers, and some random things. I always dig through those—I treat it like a treasure hunt. I grabbed a local magazine and took my seat. Then came Victoria, my server. I started with two croquetas and some spicy sauce—not because I’m sick, but because I’ve been stuffed up. Hot sauce opens my sinuses and my soul. For the main dish, I ordered Perico-style huevos revueltos with three salchichas and tostadas. Yes, I was hungry and a little dramatic. For takeout, I got tres leches, bread pudding, a pineapple Jarrito, and coffee. Priorities. The coffee here? Amazing. Cuban coffee is not just a drink—it’s a lifestyle. Victoria and I chatted a bit, and I found out she’s from Mexico. Super sweet and very kind. Honestly, she made the whole meal feel like a visit to a cousin’s house. Moral of the story: celebrate birthdays with food, dreams, and a little hot sauce. You never know what you’ll discover—maybe even a Cuban husband for my sister . But for now, just croquetas.

DO NOT order from here - their consistency is absolute garbage. Consistently miss items. One day the chicken soup Is the best soup ever, the next you are eat chicken soup Straight from the vampire Ella can. One moment the chicharrones are smashed and come with 3 limes, the next you get an undercooked piece of fat with one lime. You ask for yellow rice you get undercooked tasteless white rice. They are so disorganized and have no direction at all. They have so much potential to be great but cooks and employees are lazy and nothing is ever the same. Ewwwwww

First time here and it didn't wow me. I work nearby and was hoping this would be a good breakfast place but I was sadly disappointed. The egg sandwich had too much salt and my co workers omelette was mediocre at best. The place also needs a good cleaning. Staff was busy talking and took a while before taking our takeout order. I wouldn't go here again.

The food here is well prepared ! This place has been around for many years ! Friendly atmosphere! Cuban food ! Great breakfast! soups , steak , chicken, etc. ! Food is good. In a corner of small shopping center. Still the same. Good to go for a quick meal!

My Rica la Comida y el servicio! Las chicas hondureñas muy atentas. En cuanto a los tamales, tentgan en cuenta que llevan bastante ajo, entonces si no les gusta el ajo, mejor no pedirlo. Exceptional cuban food with great portions and even better prices. I cannot get Mofongo where I now live (Detroit) and was craaaaaving it on a trip home to FTL. This place did not disappoint! I had mofongo con res and a side of maduros. I also had to get flan and tres leches (to go bc I was stuffed!) and both left a bit to be desired. They were not made in house and neither was delicious. They were fine, but I wouldn't order again. Overall, a great hidden gem worth checking out!

Looks might deceive you but this is a great Cuban place considering the price to value ratio. It is a very humble establishment. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done at pretty inexpensive prices. The menu is pretty large but not all items are available so make sure to check with your waiter or call in advance if you are looking for a specific dish. Also, their daily specials run out fast so if you are going for dinner, it might not be available. Despite these short comings, all the items I tried were pretty good. The lamb stew, crispy cuban sandwiches, empanadas, tres leches were some of the best. Service is fast and portions are big. This is not a date night spot but if you are in the mood for a casual eat but still authentic food, this checks it.

Great Cuban food, always friendly service , just a great clean place to enjoy some authentic Cuban food. I have been coming here for years always consistent ! Easy parking although is a small lot if it's busy at lunchtime.

It was my first time coming to this restaurant. I arrived at 7:30pm on Monday and place was completely empty. No one sitting but just orders to go by take out apps. I left there at 8:15pm and I have asked for several dishes and if THESE were "FRESH" and I was advised they were Not. I asked for something else and I indeed regretted buying it. Ordered Italian Liver and it was terrible. Super Hard meet, burned to the point it was black. Very thin cuts and hard to cut. Green peppers and onions were not fresh either. "Moros" rice had a good taste but seemed it was cooked early that day or the day before. I asked for fried green plantains and I received two pieces and these were reheated in the microwave and not fresh at all, full of oil and hard. I also asked for a bowl of soup "split pea" and it was delicious. Not fresh but it was good. It's the ONLY thing that I will go buy it again.

Amazing and authentic, Incredible Ropa Vieja, Croquetas, and Empanadas! I just moved in down the street and I have been eating Las Colinas virtually every day!

I read a lot of reviews and I went t to a much fancier, higher reviewed, more expensive restaurant. This is a joke in the wall. The prices were much lower than the fancy place. Las Colinas is old. It's looks dirty but it's NOT. The workers take pride in keeping it clean. This place is very authentic and all the workers primary language is Spanish. I sat at the counter. I saw lots of smiles and hard work. The workers are grinding here. Is the food authentic Cuban? Probably. I wanted a well priced authentic hole in the wall and Las Colinas delivered. The Cuban coffee machine was hammering constantly. This place reminded me of Cafe Dumont in New Orleans if you have been there without all the carbs and sugar. The waitress that served me had also made the empanadas. They took pride in this. They had a dedicated Cuban sandwich station. I sat at the counter. When I see bad reviews on Yelp. They are often very petty. Give this place a try if u want Authentic Cuban food. It's a cafeteria environment. I ve had plenty of fancier meals. I wanted authentic and I'm satisfied

Now my new favorite Cuban spot in Fort Lauderdale! Been coming here for Cuban coffees and finally came for dinner and it did NOT disappoint! I got the grilled chicken with onion and peppers, with moros and maduros - so much flavor it was unreal! Also the service is always phenomenal here. Will definitely be making this a regular spot!

Best Jamaican food truck with phenomenal jerk chicken and Jamaican food!! The truck is very clean and the owner is friendly. MUST HAVE!!

Azco! Que comida tan mala. Is the cook a a real cook? Or the toilet cleaner? Omg! Doesn't he know that the tostones rellenos (the Cuban original) MUST be crispy and not hard ? The shrimps were tiny little ones too, and no sauce. The shrimp is supposed to be at least medium size, not baby shrimps. Tengo ganas de VOMITAR. Que mal me cayó la comida. Y eso que me comí la tercera parte de lo mala que estaba. I ALWAYS have this plate in cuban restaurants. And honestly ? This the worse!! And the breaded fish? Was any fish inside? It was just overcooked crumps. ! Tengo el estomago revuelto. Almost $30 down the toilet.

I went here because I was starving. I ordered a pan con bistec. It took them a while though. I don't know how long I waited. I understood they were busy, and probably short staffed. My order was to go so I didn't mind waiting. My food was okay, nothing that had a wow factor to it. The froes were a bit cold when I got home. So I didn't eat them that much. Overall I thought this place was decent. Nothing special about it. It was also lunch time when I stopped by. If that helps. Otherwise service was fine. It felt like the workers had a lot to deal with that day.

The food was delicious!My favorite was the coffee. It was delicious. Service was very good. The server was attentive and very nice. The place was very clean and at good temperature. The music was good and the place was clean and comfortable.

Had just gotten back from vacation and landed in Ft Lauderdale. My best friend and I had a 5 hr drive ahead of us and we were really craving some delicious Latin food so we Googled this place and boy were we satisfied. We both ordered mofongo. Mine with chicken and hers with shrimp. Honestly the portion was huge and we probably could have shared but I'm glad we didn't because we brought home leftovers. The restaurant was cute. Busy with lots of single diners and the waiter was so nice and helpful. This place definitely hit the spot.

This is definitely one of those moments where you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. This restaurant doesn't look much from the outside but their food is amazing!! My favorite was the Churrasco and the Chicharones.

Las Colinas had good food and the staff was respectful and nice. The empanadas were delicious, and the place is clean. Would recommend!

Food is def home style but the service is slow at best and the ventilation system never seems to work. Each time I leave I smell like I have been deep fried

I had such an awful meal. The rice was poorly reheated. The pork was all fat and they only gave me two tostones which were deeply refried. Just terrible and not cheap.

As we walked in, I was a bit confused if to wait to be seated or sit ourselves. After a few minutes we noticed menus in the table, grabbed them than sat ourselves down. They quickly came to our table and grabbed our order. I ordered a cafe americano and a media noche sandwich. I'm not going to lie but the coffee and the sandwich is probably one of the best I've ever had. Service was polite and attentive. Will definitely return

El restaurante es sucio y viejo. La comida parece a precio razonable en el menu, pero no se atreva a pedir batidos o jugos son llenos de hielo en vasos pequenos y carisimos. Las empleadas manipulan la registradora sucia y al mismo tiempo hacen la comida. Ademas cobran un servicio de 20% obligatorio sin advertir al cliente con anticipacion. El servicio es pesimo, una sola mesera para todo el restaurante. La comida es sancochada y servida sin cuidado alguno. No lo recomiendo en absoluto.

I love this apparently authentic Cuban restaurant. Carlito is a great chef and the staff are so caring. My last visit Jose my favorite waiter is now a chef. Great move owner of Las Calinas. Lol in 7o days here probably fatten there 20 times.

Cuban sandwiches anyone?!?! I got to get my regular fixing of pressed cuban sandwiches at Las Colinas. The atmosphere is everything you'd expect a typical latin restaurant in south florida to feel like. Cuban coffee in the air, bachata music playing and of course none of the servers are fluent in english, so you know the food is good! Its off the main road so it wasn't super busy and it was open till 3 day of Thanksgiving! What a life savor considering dinner was very late that day. The food took a while to come out but all worth it in the end another croqueta preparada for me please!

OMGeee! Today was my first visit here. They have a convenient walk up window to grab to-go orders. When I called the young lady was very friendly and told me it'd be ready in 10 mins. When I got there it was ready. Fresh but quick! I order 2 steak sandwiches for lunch and Vaca Frita for later. The sandwiches are large and come with fries for only $5.99! The Vaca Frita came with 2 sides for $10.99. Most Cuban restaurants charge double. The food was so good! I will totally be back! #SupportLocal #SmallBusiness

Awesome food and good service! We arrived within 1/2 of closing time on Labor Day (9/6/2021), were greeted nicely and sat down. The Daily Specials board was extensive as is the menu. The chicken soup was fabulous. Bandeja Las Colinas/Las Colinas Special for $19.99 will easily feed 2-3 moderately hungry people. The house brewed unsweetened iced tea is perfect. I could come to this place every day!

First off I'm cuban so I know my cuban food lol. Prices are good portions are good but flavors just arent. Morros rice was delicious actually better than most places Milanesa de pollo wow dont even know where to begin was awful. Falling apart, soggy weird unpleasant cheese normally swiss is used. Very sweet canned tomato sauce No flavor or salt at all just a sloppy tasteless mess. Vaca frita was tasteless aswell. Normally the outside is crispy after being pan fried it was all soggy and dry somehow. Mofongo was $6 portion is huge and had the potential to be good but unfortunately had a very unpleasant charred/burned flavor in every bite and was not edible. Total for 2 plates and mofongo was $32 and we threw out about 80% of the food. This place just isnt good but I'd definitely stop here to get some morros rice that I definition reccomend :)

I cannot say enough about this wonderful restaurant, Number one it is not fancy at all looks like a typical old style restaurant, The prices are reasonable, the service is way above average, My first visit was to try the Cuban Sandwich and it was toasted perfectly so you can take the melting Swiss cheese, I later on another visit tried the fried pork chunks and it was awesome, Not only is the staff great but the locals that are served in this restaurant are usually very friendly, I highly recommend the homemade chicken soup it rivals my grandmother's, Tasty chunks of chicken and loaded with potatoes and carrots, i buy it every time i am there. I am a New Yorker and I love the atmosphere and the Spanish Language that you hear in this place, I took German but i will try to learn some Spanish. Treat yourself to this heartwarming place.

This restaurant is right around the corner from my office. I've been going here for years for various things but I've never had breakfast. Oh my gosh this is so good. I highly recommend you coming out.

BEST seafood stew I have ever had!! Unreal for the price this place needs to be on the Food Network. Also the empanadas are amazing and cooked fresh to order. The ham and cheese empanada is out of this world. Happy to have finally found a good Cuban place in Broward.

Worst food I've ever ate I got the churrasco the rice beans tasted like nothing steaks wasn't so bad they sell one croquete for almost $2 that tasted just like Publix croquete and the passion fruit juice was spoiled. Waste of money very upsetting never again!

I don't know if I love anywhere as much as I love this place! The coffee is THE BEST locally, and the food is really killer too. Usually we share a croqueta preparada which is a pressed Cuban sandwich with croquetas inside. Their full menu plates are also delicious, filling and the prices can't be beat! Absolutely don't leave without trying one of their savory pastries from the hot case - my favorite is the yuca rellena which is like a larger stuffed croqueta with yuca mash instead of potato.

Food was yummy! Got the arroz con camarones and had maduros and frijoles. And the portion was perfectly huge and the service by ANA was fantastic! Five stars. The food tasted great!

Honestly the worse food ever. I went inside to order for pick up. Staff was very nice. Came back to grab my take out... Yuck This food tasted like it has been sitting for days. Over cooked ,stale no flavors. Sweet plantains were hard and tasted old. I'm sorry but this is not place to eat. I never call and complained but I did today and they basically said it was cooked today! they must have a suck ass chef! Sorry not sorry your food sucks. I ordered chicken,rice and beans and plantains. Horrible meal I have about three bites. The dogs will be happy to have the chicken. I don't want to give 1 star but I have to boooooo

Hubby and I stopped in for breakfast today and won't be coming back. First, the parking lot was full, had to drive around, but once we went inside the place wasn't busy. We sat there for 10 minutes before I stopped a waitress for a menu. We ordered, food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and was just ok. However, the tostada was not right. It wasn't pressed nor did it have enough butter. The place was clean enough and the price wasn't bad, just poor service and average food.

Having some work done on my car up the street, I was recommended to LAS COLINAS for a coffee and a light breakfast...good recommendation! CafeconLeche and 2 pancakes...$5.00 just enough for breakfast and good! It's a "local" kinda' place so don't expect much in the decor, but definitely good food...gonna' try it for lunch soon

Served rice that wasn't cooked. No waitress came by to ask how the meal was. Place was insanely dirty

The employees of this restaurant are thieves! I stopped in on a Saturday night for a takeout order, and when I checked my credit card bill three days later, the waitress who checked me out overcharged my credit card. When I reported it to the owner no apology was given, no refund was given and the employee is still working there. Totally disgusted!

Delicious breakfast, eggs and bacon with toast and coffee and hash included, under $9! I'll be back!

Here's another review of a restaurant I've driven by a thousand times, but never stopped in for a visit. I've heard good things from friends and have read great reviews on the Yelp. Today's visit was due to an instant craving for empanadas. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by just about all the staff. "Buenos Dias". "Good morning". "Hi papi, let me know when you're ready". Just about all the customers were referred to as mommy, papi, or friend. I prefer papi Now let's get down to business. Although they were out of chicken empanadas, the beef and ham/cheese ones were great. Freshly fried and filled with a good amount of filling. Delicious. The beef was extra amazing. The cafe con leche - perfect. This was the first time I was served cafe con leche as pictured - hot milk with the fresh espresso served on the side - but it was perfect. Prices - awesome. Less than $5 for two good sized empanadas and cafe con leche. Service - as I started to mention above the service was great. Super friendly and attentive staff. Although some of the Yelpers have experienced slow/poor service, that wasn't the case today. The restaurant was pretty busy and I saw food coming out quickly and no one visually annoyed. Great service today! I can't wait to come back and try their mofongo! **9/12/16 UPDATE** Finally had a chance to try their mofongo con Masas de puerco. AMAZING. Try

I don't like to write poor reviews but I didn't have a great experience here. Came to FL for business and found this restaurant online near my hotel. Came on a Tues night with my colleague at about 8pm. I ordered the skirt steak and wanted fried plantains, but the waiter said the plantains they currently had were no good and instead recommended the yuca con mojo. I didn't know what that was but went with it anyway. My coworker also ordered the skirt steak. Out came the steak...it was so veiny and chewy, it was very difficult to eat. I thought it was normal at first, but my colleague's was soft and easy to chew, so I called the waiter over and tried to explain that the cut I received was pretty bad. English is not his first language so it was a bit difficult to convey, but he eventually took it back and brought me back a new one which was better. However, the yuca con mojo was very flavorless and bland. I'm still not really sure what it is, but it looked and tasted like a boiled potato that absolutely had no flavor or texture. I was a bit disappointed he had recommended that to me. We asked if they had flan for dessert, and no, they only had some kind of frozen ice cream you would buy at the market. Another sigh. Last, when we were paying the bill, we asked him to split our bill evenly with 2 cards. The total was $27 and change. He comes back and charged $9 on my card and the rest on my colleagues. No idea why he did that and he couldn't really explain why he did when we asked. I would give this place 1 star but they re-did my steak for free so 2 stars.

Had been looking for a good Cuban restaurant since moving to the area. Was in the area and decided to guvevlos Colima's a try. I decided to order through the window and just hop back in my car. I wanted pollo croquettes but they only had pork. She seemed annoyed by me inquiring about their offerings. so I decided to just get an beef empanada so I could taste what Their meat sauce was like. She walked away from the window. I stood there waiting. "Maybe they make em fresh" I thought to myself. So o sat in one of the chairs outside and wait ones. Luckily the seat was in the shade but there's escaping that south florida humidity. I was getting sweaty. So after about 10 minutes of reading news on my phone I went to the window. There was another you g lady there on her phone. I asked for an update on the beef empanada . She looked at me then asked something to someone I couldn't see in Spanish. She left the window. I assumed she went to check on my order. She never came back. It's at this point that I decide to put on my mask and enter the restaurant. I walked to the counter and asked another server about my order. Suddenly the first person I laced my order with came back and asked chicken empanada right? No, beef, I replied. She then scrambled to a case full of empanadas and threw one in a bag. From the looks and attitude I received here, it's obvious what's going on here. It's ok. I won't be back. I'm giving the place 2 star because the empanada was delicious but I won't patronize a place where it's not welcoming. Luckily there are more options to try. Hopefully I'll get a better reception. It was just an empanada. Good grief.
