The 19 Best Restaurants In Buenos Aires 2024

"Las Cuartetas is great for a quick bite if you’re catching a play in any of the theaters along Corrientes Avenue or a concert at Estadio Luna Park. The fugazza pizzas are our favorite—you’ll need a fork and knife to pull a slice out of the deep-dish pan, and plenty of napkins in case all that stringy mozzarella and shredded onion finds its way on the table instead of your plate. (These don’t have red sauce, so at least your shirt is safe). Do like the locals do and have your pizza with a cold Quilmes beer at one of the standing counters." - martin chavesta, annie bacher

A true deep-dish pizza, still sizzling from the oven, was unceremoniously dumped on the table. Even from just the smell I could tell I was in for a treat. The crust was near perfect, a little crispy and crunchy on the bottom and edges, soft but not doughy above. Plenty of toppings – thick slices of ripe tomatoes, rings of onions, longaniza sausage, herbs, spices, garlic, and… good quality, gooey, stringy, and not oily, mozzarella cheese. I think we finished off the pizza before he’d made it back to his waiter station. I’ve never been fond of the service in the place, which always feels a bit condescending and often bordering on rude.

Google
Classic Pizzeria of BsAs. Ranking in the top 3 without a question. Highly recommend to order roquerfort and/or Fugazzeta rellena. A must if visiting Buenos Aires.

Google
Quintessential Buenos Aires pizza that’s been around forever. Don’t go in expecting Italian, New York or Chicago style pizza, or anything you’ve tried before somewhere else. The porteño style is generally thicker (but soft, moist dough) crust with loads of mozzarella on top, with varying toppings. You can order a large or small pizza to share, and they’ll do half and half toppings if you want to try two kinds without doubling your order. You can also order by the slice so you can try even more toppings. Service can be slow during rush hour. You can order by the slice and eat standing up near the front of the pizzeria, or walk to the back of the restaurant (it goes way deep) for table service.

Interesting pizza but not particularly the best I had. The experience was good however.

Extremely tasteful y recommend taking the time and visit the place. The recommendation is to order any pizza you like small sized with double cheese. Thank me later!

While I was in Buenos Aires I wanted to review famous pizza joints. This was one of them. This place is great, I loved the pizza. The service was quick even though it was packed. This was hands down the best muzzarella I had in my whole trip. The pieces of crispy mozzarella in the top are delicious, the cheese is abundant, the dough is tasty and the tomato sauce is magnificent. The fugazzeta with mozzarella was also impressive but I liked the one from "El cuartito" more. It's also a very charming place, I loved this pizza, my favorite in Buenos Aires.

Tried 2 other pizza places same night and this was worst. Very very poor service and awful food. No explanation on when I ordered at cashier on how to collect etc and was then served a cold pizza after waiting for ages and realising I needed to collect myself. Absolutely do not recommend. Go to Guerrin or Los Immortales for a much better experience and pizza in general. This pizza was gross 🤢

Google
The food is great and is similar to a fried pizza in which they serve directly in the pan in which it was baked. The flavor is good and if you are traveling alone and with a moderate hunger it is worth ordering the chica.

Yelp
Recommended by a trusted local. This is some serious pizza!! Cheesy is an understatement. We were not disappointed. This is old school, no frills, no nonsense. They are efficient, limited English but with great, cold beer. It is a bit confusing when you enter. Walk to the back for table service.

Yelp
A solid, old school joint for Argentine pizza. The places lay out is confusing. When you walk in, you see a counter to order, yet that's for dine in at the "bar area" only. You have to check in with a waiter of you want to sit at a table. They don't make this very clear and no one at the front of the entrance helps with this process. The inside is way bigger than what you would expect. It had three different sections for tables, which was quite impressive. Service is very much like an old school new York joint. It's matter of fact, somewhat rough, and quick to the point. I like that you can order by the slice, although you can order a whole or half pizza if you want. The pizza dough reminds me alot of sicilian style pizza, based on its density. The Fugazetta was damn good. The salty cheese and caramelized onions are a two punch combo. The spinach Blanco was earthy and creamy. Not as good as the Fugazetta, but I did enjoy it. The Anchovy was not worth getting, when it's one Slice of anchovy on top of only a tomato base. The empanadas they have are ok, but they do seem a little soggy. The filling did taste good though.

Yelp
There are several pizza places along calle corrientes, but I personally think Las Cuartetas has the freshest and most tasty ones! The quality is great and service is fast. I recommend the fugazzetta one if you're unsure what to order.

Yelp
Wow! This was recommended by two different local colleagues of my husband and I'm so glad we tried it out. Absolutely delicious! We ordered the small Naples pizza and slogged our way through with three pieces each. It's all that we could handle. The service was very good. We managed to get by with my very limited Spanish. Although it's indicated that they accept credit card, our server told us that it's cash only which was fine. The ambiance isn't that great but it's all about the food here. Don't expect fancy and you'll be happy. It's totally worth trying the Argentinian style pizza during your visit!

Yelp
Excellent Argentinian style pizza for a very good price. A Chico is plenty to feed two persons and cost about 300 Argentinian pesos. Service was efficient and friendly.

Yelp
It's okay. Different but quite frankly i was underwhelmed. Definitely worth a try but is an acquired taste. And it is a taste I did not acquire. So I went in, ate two portions of onion pizza, got up and left. If I am hungry I may come back.

Yelp
If you travel to Buenos Aires, apart from the BBQ you have to try the pizza in this place. "Pizza al molde' it's a thick pie full of delicious cheese, very different from the pizza you are used to... The place is one of the oldest and most famous pizzerias in Downtown. Try the 'mozzarella con recarga de longaniza' (cheese with thin slices of strong salami), and if you are really reaaaally into cheese, try the 'mozzarella con recarga de mozzarella' (yes... double cheese...!).

Yelp
Cheese! So much cheese! Casual, speedy, cheap, and delicious. A small pizza is plenty for two people, and the table wine is palatable (says my dining companion). A recognized Buenos Aires institution, and definitely worth a visit.
