From the moment we walked in, Las Delicias de La Abuela felt like a celebration—colorful decorations, soccer on the TVs, and the unmistakable aroma of home-cooked food. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the food… absolutely phenomenal. I had the Bandeja Paisa, and it was one of the best I’ve had outside of Colombia—perfectly grilled meats, crispy chicharrón, creamy beans, sweet plantains, and a beautifully cooked egg on top. My partner ordered the fried whole fish, which was golden, crisp, and served with lime, coconut rice, and patacones—so fresh and flavorful. To top it off, their coffee was served in a charming enamel mug that made the experience feel even more cozy and personal. You can tell this place is made with love and tradition. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy real Colombian comfort food in a fun, festive setting. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
A little piece of Colombia, one of the best Colombian restaurants that Atlanta has to offer. Shoutout to our waitress Monica who was very pleasant and attentive. Food was delicious as always. Was waiting at the dealership for my car and decided to walk over for this amazing breakfast. Well worth the walk. Till next time!

Google
I went here as we were visiting Buford. This place had orange juice that tasted natural. Some of the best grilled chicken and the flavor was amazing. The chefs leave smiles and hearts with your food. Would eat here again.

Google

Google
We were coming from Atlanta and decided to stop by this place. It was a group of us, first I'd like to say that the food was great! The service was ok, and the atmosphere was ok, the inside was nice, just a bit loud. But other than that, I definitely recommend the food. We all liked what we ordered 👍

Google
This place was incredible. You will feel like you are in South America. If you're looking to experience the authentic Colombian vibe, taste, experience, culture, and hospitality, this place is a must! Camila was our server and she was so kind and went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied and had the best authentic experience. She gave us the best food recommendations! Pictured here is the country chicken and the churrasco colombiano. For drinks, their paloma, sex on the beach, and their mango drink with aguardiente were amazing! Their live music and band made the place lively and a one-of-a-kind experience. Highly recommend.

Google
I’ve been dining at Las Delicias de La Abuela for quite some time, and I’m always satisfied with the food. My favorites are the Sancocho, Bandeja Paisa, and their empanadas—everything is flavorful and authentic. The service is also excellent, and our server Monica was especially kind and professional. Highly recommend this place for a delicious and authentic Colombian meal!

Yelp
This is a great place to eat, plus have a good time With family and friends love this place Be careful on the extra thing they offer you I went there for a dinner with my wife spent over a 100 dollar for two ....

Yelp
Place was popping. Since it's our first time we decided to be conservative and ordered a variety plate. The meat (steak, sausage, blood sausage, bacon) was unfortunately too dry for our taste.

Yelp
Las Delicias de la Abuela is a casual restaurant serving great comfort Columbian food. It is located in Doraville, next to the Buford Highway Farmers Market. It is a mile from the Dorvaille MARTA station, (but you can also take the 124, 35, 20, or 10B buses). Las Delicias de la Abuela has the casual vibe of a family reunion, even equipped with picnic tables. There are televisions everywhere, and I understand live music. I was greeted and seated immediately. Food and beverages came out very quickly. The staff were extremely friendly, happy to make recommendations on food and beverages, and forgiving of my awkward Spanish skills. Maleja recommended the blackberry juice, Carne de la Parrilla (grilled skirt steak), and passionfruit mousse, and I added an order of arepas. The blackberry juice was tasty and not too sweet. I took it home, and it mysteriously disappeared before I could reopen the refrigerator (apparently my husband enjoyed it as well). The Carne a la Parrilla was perfectly prepared, very juicy, and flavorful. It was so cravable, I ate the whole thing with no regrets. The steak came with two sides, and I selected the salad and sweet plantains. The salad, which was actually guacamole, was surprisingly tasty. The avocado was mild and creamy and well blended with lime juice, tomatoes, and onions. I don't eat guacamole. But I tore this up! The plaintains were good, but other items were memorable. The arepas reminded me of a circular, not as sweet, version of a corn cake my Granny used to make. The passion fruit mousse is for those with a sweet tooth. But it was super tangy and creamy (another dish I didn't mean to completely finish but I couldn't stop eating it). I can't wait to go back, as I want to come for breakfast. There are also so many lunch and dinner items I want to try, including the empanadas and margaritas.

Yelp
I was looking for good food and affordable, this place offers all. There's a homemade soup before meal and drink all for $9.99 Its a deal

Yelp
In the last few weeks they have increased prices and reduced portions. Been going for 2 years but that ends now.

Alexandra M.

Yelp
I really like to recommend this place, if you looking for authentic Colombian food, this is the best in town. My server Paola was great , she is very nice and always with a positive attitude and smile, she is beyond knowledge of the menu and ready to help you with suggestions.

Yelp
Fantastic!!!!!! I loved this! I was famished after leaving the airport so I checked for top rated on door dash and it is obvious why! The food was great!

Yelp
I LOVE this place and never knew I didn't review it. I go here a lot. The food is amazing!! I always get their Bistec a Caballo and I'm never disappointed. The egg is cooked to perfection. Runny, but but not too runny. The plantain is so sweet and also cooked to perfection, along with the tostada. Crunchy, but not too crunchy. Then theirs the rice and steak. The steak has so much flavor and it pairs great with the onions and tomatoes that are put on top of them. Theirs nothing bad I could say about this place. The music played is always good, it can get crowded at times, but I don't usually go on those days. I believe they play music on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as well. My friends steak was also cooked to perfection( medium rare) lol. It was so good and juicy. The service is always great. And everyone is nice! 10/10

Yelp
Food is wonderful. Agua Fresca, steak, chicken and the tres leches is to die for. I would highly recommend going on a weekday as on the weekend it is very busy.

Yelp
Amazing!!! EVERYTHING was amazing! Food is traditional Colombian food! Maleja was our server and she did an outstanding job dealing with a group of 28... yes, 28 people who came in with little heads up. The environment is just right! Background music is not overbearing, and the place is enjoyable to sit and have a group chat.

Yelp
The Food is excellent and worthwhile to order. They got all the tipical stuff you get from Colombia but rather pricey. The service is great too. The bad thing that really bothered me is that the decore indoors is horrible. To me it seems that they have no care of how the place looks and feels. Its just trashy with cheap seating. The parking area is littered with trash too. There is no reason for them to have place looking that way. Their total gross sales maybe upwards enough to have capital to fix up the place. In response to business: Lo siento q tuve q calificar el restaurante como lo puse. No hay escusa de tener el sitio sin buen ambiente (la musica esta buena!) en como se ve o q halla reguero en el parqueadero. Los asientos no deben de ser como lo tienen.

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic, Colombian food with great service...look no further! We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in. The ambiance is very relaxed and the wait staff is very sweet and attentive. We really enjoyed the cumbia music playing, it makes for a lively dining experience. Our server, Maleja, was wonderful! Now, the best part...THE FOOD!!! My mother is Colombian and it was like sitting at my Nona's table. My mom ordered the "Bandeja Paisa" and it did not disappoint! I enjoyed my usual arepa de queso and it was delicious. We finished off our meal with a Pastel de Guayaba y Queso, they were made fresh and delivered to our table from a cart. Overall, this is THE BEST Colombian restaurant in Atlanta. We will be back!

Yelp
Yes, just go. Everything we've had from here has been delicious. Portions are a good size, usually enough to share with another person. I like the indoor picnic tables, too.
google avatar

Malia L.

Yelp
Food was bomb & service was great! I can't complain about anything. It was crowded when we arrived but we were seated within 5 minutes.
google avatar

Mar G.

Yelp
The place is soooo delicious!! But my problem is the waiters! They are nice but they will add a tip and won't ask you about it. And if you ask them about prices they get upset like hellooo I'm paying for my food and I wanna know how much I am paying!!! Literally!!

Alan D.

Yelp
Wonderful staff, very polite and professional. The food was excellent quality and comes out quickly. Nice lunch experience.!!

Yelp
Food is no longer a 5 more like a 3 , service is excellent and Ambiance was nice. Due to food quality we may not try again. ..

Yelp
The food here was pretty solid. I had a fruit juice that was a little too sweet, but still good. My boyfriend ended up getting steak, and I got a bunch of different side dishes. My favorites by far were the plantains and the arepas! Probably some of the best arepas I've ever had. The inside of the restaurant is super colorful. They even had a live band towards the end of the night! The bar looks cool as well. Recommend if you're in the area.

Yelp
Outstanding Colombian cuisine, cozy, hispanic music, family oriented and the service was outstanding. If you're ever on the Atlanta, Georgia area, and are feeling that need to eat some Hispanic (Colombian) cuisine, this is a place you must visit. I will definitely come back to try other entrees on the menu!

Laura M.

Yelp
I have been client for this restaurants for many years, But lately customer service has deteriorated. I have to think twice before to call there to place an order, because I don't know if I will be lucky to get a person able to take an order with respect and patient. It's impossible that If I am asking for a steak and salad (lettuce, onion and tomato) they just said: "We don't sell salads and done". The customer service in a restaurant is very important to improve too.
google avatar

Roann T.

Yelp
Las Delicias de La Abuela was the first time I had Columbian food and it definitely won't be the last! I started out with a mojito that was strong, beautifully decorated, and even came with a lollipop! I ordered my food right after my drink, and I'm not kidding when I saw my food came out 5 minutes after that! My meal came with a HUGE piece of chicken, rice, beans, side salad, and soup. It was fresh and so delicious, almost like Abuela was in the back cooking it herself. I had so much food that I had left overs for 2 days lol. I'll definitely be back to try more things on the menu!
google avatar

Yelp
Top tier fried plantains. The staff is attentive, and they have good mango juice. Nice and air conditioned in here

Yelp
Once again the best Saturday brunch! Alexa always takes care of us , food is awesome

Mari R.

Yelp
The food was so good I didn't even get to take a picture but it's rare me or my kids clear a plate and we did. The staff was extremely friendly. Our waiter Monica was very helpful when it came to the menu and any questions we had. This is the second time we've come and both times we've had a great experience. We'll def be coming again with more friends and fam.
google avatar

Camille R.

Yelp
The people were friendly and the patacones con queso are almost as good as we remember in Colombia. My dish, the sobrebarriga, was not what I had hoped it would be, but my expectations were probably high from recently visiting Bogota and trying it a few times there. My boyfriend enjoyed the bandeja paisa, especially the chicharrón. It's conveniently located right next to the Buford hwy farmers market, so next time we stop in it'll probably be for a quick snack, like the patacones, before shopping.

Yelp
It has been almost 8 months since the last time I visited this restaurant. Since I had such a great experience the first time. I decided to try it again. They did not disappoint. Like the first time, we were seated immediately, event though it was busy. The staff was pleasant and the food (most important part) was amazing. I had to try something different from the menu and I'm glad I did. Try the Bandeja Montanera, my new favorite dish. We also had the Costillas Ahumadas, very good. This place is a little far for me, but worth the trip.
google avatar

Brensi M.

Yelp
Went on a Tuesday evening for dinner and we got seated right away. The restaurant is a large open space with a lot of table and picnic tables available. There is a bar towards the back of the restaurant which was a little busy. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful, and the decor was nice. The menu is large but some of the dishes were not available because they were only available on the weekends, so that was a little disappointing. The yuca frita was yummy and the arepa de queso and de cholo were very good. The carne asada and churrasco were also tasty. The fish was large and filling. We tried the pasión fruit juice and it was very sweet. I will certainly be coming back here.

Yelp
Este es el Lugar que usualmente visitamos cuando venimos a Atlanta. Usualmente tenemos una buena experiencia, sin embargo hoy salimos bien desinflados. Primero que todo no había Café! Si restaurante colombiano y no cafe . Pedimos sopas y de 3 que pedimos sólo nos dijeron que tenían 1. No avena . El Resto de la comida que pedimos estuvo rica. El chico que nos atendió también fue atento y amable.

Cathy R.

Yelp
Fantastic family restaurant! We went for a birthday celebration, and we were so happy. We'll be back!

Yelp
Great food! Great service!! Empanadas were so good. First time eating Columbia food. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
If you want, authentic Mexican food, try this restaurant the service is not the best As I am not a native Spanish speaker, and this restaurant does not care to hire people to cater to none Spanish people so I will say that however, I've never had any complaints with regards to the food

Nicolas S.

Yelp
Overpriced. I wouldn't mind paying if the food and service were good; unfortunately, neither was good.. especially the service.. if you are looking for traditional Colombian food and friendly people, this IS NOT THE PLACE.

Yelp
A FORTUNATE FIND... A friend and I wandered into this place after shopping because it happened to be in the same parking lot where we'd been browsing. Well, how lucky were we?!?!? This place is FABULOUS. We were there on a weekday, so it was not especially crowded. My sense it this place goes off on the weekends because, in addition to great food, they are mixing great drinks. They also apparently offer special dishes on Friday and Saturday. FYI, they have a dessert case full of chilled treats; alas, we were unfortunately too stuffed to sample. Décor wise, the interior is colorful, but casual. I would consider this a family friendly bar and grill that happens to serve killer Columbian food. Regarding what was so good, we genuinely loved everything we tried. The meats were exceptionally well prepared. One of us chose the flank steak based the recommendation of our server who promised it was tender and it did not disappoint. Spectacularly juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. While I cannot speak the the authenticity of the Columbian fare they offer, I really cannot recommend this place highly enough. Great quality ingredients perfectly prepared and deftly seasoned - absolutely worth a visit!
google avatar

Nunya J.

Yelp
I love this place! I love the size - it's huge, spacious, with benches and tables for large parties. There is a bar in the back for the adulters who want to be a little more grown and sexy. They have empanadas and all the classic dishes that my husband from Miami (via Colombia) loves. I always get the steak because it is so full of flavor and cooked perfectly to temp. I am just getting takeout after work today. If you have never been it is a must do in metro Atlanta for the best Colombian food and good atmosphere we've experienced

Yelp
Note: This is a Colombian restaurant. It is NOT a Mexican restaurant. We came here for dinner two weeks ago on a Friday night. Parking was readily available in the free parking lot around Las Delicias de La Abuela restaurant. We walked into Las Delicias de la Abuela, and were met by the host just inside the door, and loud music being played over the speakers. He walked us past an area that had a lot of tables that had "Reserved" signs on them, and took us to one of the multitude of wooden picnic benches that could seat 6 adults comfortably (well, as comfortable as they could be at a wooden picnic table). The dining area is a very big open space filled with a lot of tables. The restaurant was at about half capacity when we arrived, and it was very noisy. While we looked at the menu via the QR code available at the table, our server stopped at our table, took our drink orders and answered some questions of ours about some menu items. I ordered the Costillas Ahumadas, which included a half rack of smoked pork ribs, fries, and a sweet plantain with melted cheese. R ordered the Bandeja Montanera, which included beef steak, beans, rice, chorizo sausage, blood sausage, pork belly, fried egg, salad, sweet plantain and corn cake. OH MY! The meals were big and filling - so filling that neither one of us could eat everything! The meat on the ribs were tender, not fall-off-the-bone though, and had a very good slightly sweet bbq sauce. Fries were crispy, and I liked the flavor of the plantain, but without the melted cheese. R said his meal was good, but also said that he'll probably not order it again because it was just too much food. Our server was good through most of our meal, but then he started doing tasks throughout the restaurant toward the end of the meal, and it was kind of hard to flag him down with the loud music and the fact that he was way on the other side of the restaurant. There's a pretty big bar toward the back of the restaurant. We plan on coming back to this restaurant so we could try a lot more items on the menu. Just about everything looks good and this restaurant serves up big portions.

Yelp
Great authentic restaurant with nice vibe. Food was killer, very flavorful! I've never had the traditional Columbian dishes but the steak they cooked was really nicely seasoned and served up on a hot plate and was cooked perfectly

Yelp

Yelp
The place is very busy I came on Tuesday lunch time. It was a full house. I ordered bistec platter that comes with rice, egg, sweet plantain, fried plaintain, salad. It was pretty good. Just I am not crazy about the sautéed tomatos and onions on top of the bistec. I prefer bistec just grilled. Perhaps something I should have clarified when ordering. Anyhow still good food.

Leticia H.

Yelp
Excelente comida, y atención de su mesera Monica, deliciosas piñas coladas y una bandeja paisa, sin igual

Yelp
We came we saw we conquered. Delicious food and awesome service had some delicious plantains, chilli, steak was phenomenal, came with rice, eggs, avacado, lettuce, tomatoes, delicious with a french kiss

Yelp
I've been here with friends a few times and it's always delicious. Expect good but very loud music. I love the empanadas, arepas, and mango juice, and I trust that anything else I try here will be great. Next time I'm gettin the ajiaco. This time, our server Monica was very nice and attentive, telling us all the best things they had to offer.

Yelp
The food is really good. You really get your money worth. If you can finish your plate, you are trying too hard. Live music every Friday night.

Yelp
