After two years since getting together, our Cuban-American family cane from both coasts (California/Alki Beach/Seattle/ct/nyc) here to the woodlands, Texas for thanksgiving
And on one of our first trips to take folks back to the airport, we checked for Cuban food en route/plane food and hit the Cuban food jackpot in finding this place and the great people working behind the counter
This is a simple small family- run bakery with everything you would expect in a "Cuban Christmas Food Dream" - from pastries de Guayaba to croquetas to yucca relkenas to sandwiches Cuban is to papa rellenas, to batidos de Mamey)
This is small and not nyc restaurant fancy but Cuban original panaderia
So if you don't have a foodie attitude and are not in a major hurry, but love Cuban food - this is a great place to taste every Cuban pastry known
And if you need plane food - this beats the peanuts and most of the first class food
But go with care - we ate way too much in this trip, but are already planning to order a full lechon Covina so for christmas
