Great place to go to for a quick bite. As someone that doesn't care for guacamole or avocados, their guac tasted amazing. Heads up if you eat on the rooftop on a hot day they will have the outdoor mists going

Google
Visiting from the Springs and made it a point to visit for dinner. Always the best burritos I'm never disappointed. Wife had a combo meal and instant fell I love with the food since it was her first time there . She especially complimented the refried beans and even said " these are the best she's ever had in her life !" . So if you're looking for a great Mexican meal I highly recommend !

Google
Mexican diner food. While much of the food is solid, the green chili is among the best in the city. A bowl of that and some warm chips and tortillas is heaven. The service is often great, with several longtime servers who are fast and efficient. The food is about as cheap a night out as you can find in the city. The interior was nicely remodeled before the pandemic. There are several outside spaces, including a spacious upstairs deck. There’s usually plenty of street and meter parking in the neighborhood.

I was kinda lazy with the pictures I was starving like Marvin 😂🍽️ good experience like always food was good. Good service always welcoming and making me feel like I’m home.

I love this place! If you’re in Colorado and want some bomb Mexican food, Las Delicias is the spot. The tacos, enchiladas, everything’s packed with flavor and super fresh. Chips and salsa are fire, and their margaritas hit just right. It’s got a laid-back vibe, the staff’s cool, and you’ll leave full and happy. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area!

Google
My $27 plate of asada was disappointing A lot of fat on my steak rice was dry and my margarita was weak sauce Go to Tequilianos people this place is over priced and music sucks it’s happy hour guys

I really enjoy going here for a late lunch. I have been doing so for at least 20 years! The food is delicious. I really like their smothered burritos as well as their chile rellenos. Enjoy! CAB🥳🌮

I ate at Las Delicias regularly, starting in 1987. I'm so happy when I get the chance to visit again, like seeing an old friend. Three of us went for dinner, excited. The neighborhood is very different, more vibrant, and expensive. The building has been through many transformations. The lighting is good, furnishings simple, artwork fitting, and appears clean. The hostess showed the three of us to a table by the window. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. My carnitas plate looked hearty, well presented, and hot. The shredded beef chimichanga had been ordered with a special request, and , when brought to the waiters attention, was snapped from the table, taken to the kitchen, and a corrected plate returned. Flavor and taste were lacking. Portions were ample, the prices were higher than I remembered from over a year ago. Overall, OKAY. Probably just stick with my favorite neighborhood place next time.

Yelp
The best thing was the chicharrones. Nice and fresh and crispy. I had the chicken flauta plate and they were a bit overcooked. The service was alright. I think the server was the only one on the floor because he was pretty busy. I place is nice and the margaritas were refreshing.

Yelp
Review for Los Dos Potrillos My wife and I pulled up to Los Dos Potrillos, and it was a solid spot overall. My wife is serious about her green chili and came here specifically for their beef and bean burrito with green chili. She loved it--said it hit just right and was everything she hoped for. I decided to try the breakfast fajitas. They were alright, but honestly, the meat could've used a bit more seasoning, and the veggies were softer than I like. Still, the vibe of the place was cool, and it felt authentic, which I respect. If you're into green chili, this is definitely a place to check out. I might switch it up and try something different next time, but my wife is already planning her next burrito run. Don't say I didn't put you on.

Yelp
I came here for lunch and had a wonderful experience! I will definitely be back for dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant. My server was very sweet. My food came out quickly. I was able to relax and treat myself to a great lunch. I got the chicken quesadilla and it was delicious. I'm looking forward to trying more things on the menu!

Shelly E.

Yelp
We thought the food and margs were great!!!! Highly recommend the guava margarita & the chicken flautas!!! We will definitely be back.

Rocio V.

Yelp
The food is delicious! We showed up late with a large crowd they still took us and didn't rush us. Strawberry margarita is delicious! Luis is kind and takes care of his customers.

Yelp
Wow! What a setup. What an experience! We hired them last minute for a large event for the Former Mayor and they made it happen! Great taco bar setup. Great food! And great price! They were on time, well presented and very courteous! We will definitely use their catering again! Thank you Conny, Junior and Team!

Yelp
The service in this place was very good, for what it is. The food is what you would expect for a quasi fast food place. A colleague said 'it was saucy', lots of sauce. They were incredibly attentive and accommodating.
google avatar

Patches O.

Yelp
Just pathetic. Ordered this against my better judgement to go as I needed something fast. Didn't include chips and salsa, had to ask for them. Didn't include utensils, had to ask for them. Their burritos are complete ass. Wanna know what comes inside a burrito? Not cheese. Not rice. Not lettuce. Not beans. I'm eating a "steak burrito" that is literally just a tortilla with dog-food grade "steak" inside. Not a single other ingredient. If I made this burrito and sold it to someone for $15 I'd jump off a bridge out of shame.

Romina P.

Yelp
This place seems to only survive on first time customers. The food is bland and service is pretty trash here. There's substantially better places to eat at in this area.
google avatar

Meesh G.

Yelp
It's one of the few places open later on a weekday. Everything in that area seemed to close around 9pm on a Wednesday. This place was nice enough to let us in right before closing and serve us up something to eat. It's your typical Mexican food - nothing out of the ordinary. The food was mediocre, but the service was excellent. Our waiter was extremely nice and helpful.

Jaylisa C.

Yelp
I genuinely wish I could give this place ZERO stars. I've been going to Las Delicias for YEARS, and no matter which location I choose to go to, the food is fire and the customer service is great. That was, up until my visit today. I paid $62 for straight BULL . My "hard" tacos were $17 alone for just 3 tacos with lettuce & cheese, they were falling apart from the meat not being drained, therefore, making the tacos soggy. The lettuce and cheese were the only tasteful part of these tacos. They were literally garbage. I ordered Asada tacos and they came out bland, no seasoning. With some half old avocados on the side and NO SALSA VERDE was available. When I asked for salsa verde they stated that they don't have that... What kind of Mexican Restaurant doesn't have salsa verde? That alone says alot. Now lets get into my enchiladas. I ordered Chicken Enchiladas in tomatillo sauce with no beans, double rice (my order every single time I visit this place) ... the rice was literally rock hard I couldn't even eat it. I started throwing the rice out AT their location. The enchiladas barely had any chicken and barely any sauce. They could've kept the complimentary chips and salsa because the salsa is bland as can be, no salt and pepper whatsoever. I'm beyond disappointed but the worst part is the way that the manager handled the situation when I called and wanted a refund for only the enchiladas and asada tacos. The reason for that, being that I paid cash for the hard tacos and was not able to go back to the restaurant. I drove from Southlands, Aurora, CO for this food. So no, I was not returning to the site just for $17 when they could have taken accountability for the poor service and poor food, and just refunded me for the items I said. I was hung up on TWICE when I asked for a manager but kept calling back. Then, when speaking to a Manager he's extremely defensive and argumentative. That's how you know for a fact they're shady! You knew y'all were on some bs that's why your employees hung up in my face two times. I'll never eat at Las Delicias again no matter what location it is. I feel completely disrespected and disgusted in their food, the increase in prices, and the customer service, or lack there of.

Yelp
WOW...what a treat! We had company in town from the east coast who has no good Mexican food in their area. They have eaten at Las Delicias multiple times over the last 25 years, but I have not eaten at this location in decades. The last few times we ate at the North location, and it was just okay as it has changed over the years, and not for the better. With that said, last week we decide to go to the Up-Town location as thats the location they first went to. Bottom line, I was blown away! For starters, the service was top notch. Our waiter, I wished I could remember his name, was not only super friendly, but quick and very helpful. There were six of us dining and from the Menudo, to the combinations, carne asada and the carnitas, everything was Delicias! Oh, and the margaritas were beautifully mixed, delicious with a nice kick! We will be back...Bravo Las Delicias
google avatar

Morgan A.

Yelp
Awesome rooftop in Uptown with delicious margaritas. We ordered chips & queso and split a steak quesadilla. Solid but did not blow us away. Nice spot to drop in for a rooftop drink or light bite. Our server was super helpful and made our experience pleasant.
google avatar

Janet D.

Yelp
What happened? We dropped in very recently and ordered two things. Mine was the Menudo. And I wanna focus on this. I don't mind that the portion here is the smallest. I've ignored that since day one. What I do mind is their menudo is way too watered down Now. It was so meh I was shocked! It's hard to comprehend when something good goes bad. Doesnt the chef taste the food before it goes out? Or taste the batch that you just cooked before you call it Menudo? What a shame.

Pamela D.

Yelp
I love the food here, but today I ordered what I always order and it's never been spicy. Today it was spicy and I can't have nor can I tolerate spicy food. I took just a few bites and bit into something very hot! I went back inside and told them it was too spicy and I was told they didn't know why because it's the same green chili. Well, I don't know either because I didn't make it, but nevertheless, it's too hot for me and that's just money wasted. I didn't want my money back, but they could've at least remade it or offered me something else. They have lost me as a customer!

Yelp
I paid for a number five combo that included a beef burrito, chile relleno, and cheese enchilada for a total cost was $16.75. I called the establishment to ask them to make the burrito a bean and cheese, green chile on the side and a side of sour cream. They wanted to charge me $3.50 for a side of sour cream. When did a beef burrito and a cheese burrito cost the same? There was no cheese on the inside of the burrito. I have been a patron for over 25 years. Extremely disappointed. Extremadamente decepcionado.

Yelp
What happened to this place?! I have been going here for years, had to leave Denver for a year came back and my first meal was here. Double the price, half the food? They forgot my chicharones to add to the disappointment. In the past I would order from this place every other day, I don't think I would order here ever again after tonight. The meat was horribly dry. What a disappointment I loved this place. I thought about it daily when I was out of Colorado. Shame. Also the burritos were barely filled with meat. You can see the food difference in the pictures I have posted in the past. Cut the menu in half if times are tough don't skimp ur customers. Sad!

Menelik M.

Yelp
This restaurant steals money from customers via tips. I recently went to this restaurant 2/16/2025. The next day I received an email with an updated total that wasn't near what I put on paper. Super disappointed that they thought I wasn't going to notice or even think thats acceptable to do to customers.

Yelp
We have enjoyed Las Delicias in the past. Decent food and good service. After a poor experience with a rude waiter who did not want to wait on me I gave them another chance. This time no one served me at all. I complained to the manager. He had no explanation and offered a half hearted apology and was happy to see me leave. We will not go back.

Yelp
I lived in Denver 30 years ago and Las Delicias was my favorite place to eat Mexican food. Back then they had only one location, now they have four scattered about the Denver metro area. I was in Denver and wanted to back for a visit after all these years. A lot has changed since then. It's completely remodeled, shiny and bright. It has a very cheery atmosphere no matter what section of this roomy Mexican restaurant now has. Downstairs, there's a nice bar area, an area with tables and booths, and an outdoor patio area. Upstairs, where most of the people are is an airy dining area with a roof and no windows. It's really cool, and that's why most people want to sit up there. There are some semi-steep stairs to get up there, but there's also an elevator if you wish. I specifically went there for the burritos de chicharrones. I love 'em and can't find them in Los Angeles where I live. I ordered a couple of them ala carte for $6.50 each. It would have been a much better deal to get 3 that come with a meal serving for $13.65. They were quite good though and very filling. For dessert we had sopapillas. $5.55 for two. They are heavily sprinkled with granulated sugar I would have preferred no sugar on them since they also come with honey for dipping. The service was good, although it took over 20 minutes to get the margarita we ordered. We ordered it blended but it was served over ice. It was OK. We didn't want to wait again to get what we actually wanted. The food came out quickly though and our server Cristy was awesome. It wasn't her fault the bar was behind and maybe they were slammed with orders. Stuff happens. I think it's a pleasant place to have Mexican food. It's a nice place for a casual date or to meet a friend for a casual dinner. It's not loud so you can have a chat without having to raise your voice to be heard. I'm glad I went back and got my burritos de chicharrones fix and saw all the improvements they've made at Las Delicias. Glad to see they are thriving.

Yelp
this is the original location of Las Delicias. (they have 4-5 locations around denver.) we've been enjoying it for over 2 decades. they completed a major remodel a couple years ago, and did a very good job of modernizing the facilities (including a rooftop bar and patio). this isn't a restaurant that's trendy or modern in terms of food. but this building is now sleek and stylish. back to the food - they're more traditional mom and pop style mexican food. we love the combinations because we can pretty much get whatever we want without menu substitutions. tamales, enchiladas, tacos, burritos, bean tostadas, guacamole tostadas. they have sopapillas! they have happy hour every day from 4-6. their margaritas are deliciosas. their salsa is to die for!!!
google avatar

Josh B.

Yelp
The chimichanga here is truly something to write home about. I was introduced to my first chimichanga at Las Delicias and have tried others at different restaurants and not one has amounted to the quality of the one here. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Las Delicias Uptown is located on a cute little street with a few other restaurants nearby, and it's one of our favorite places to go for Mexican food when the weather is nice! The covered rooftop patio and the outdoor, dog friendly seating are both great options. The happy hour and taco tuesday specials are great deals. - Smothered tamale: a ton of food for a great price off the a la carte menu. The green chili has a nice kick to it, and the tamale itself is so light and tender! - Carnitas estilo michoacan: this is my go to dish at las delicias! the meat is fall apart tender, and it's a ton of food. I always have plenty leftover which makes for an amazing lunch the next day. Ask for extra onions and cilantro for a nice, fresh crunch! - Tacos de carne adobada: the sauce that came with this was surprising and delicious - a little sweet at first and then with a kick at the end. The grilled meat and onions offer great flavor all wrapped up in a classic corn tortilla.

Jodie B.

Yelp
Food is consistently always excellent. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner! And the staff are always super nice. This is my go to restaurant. Prices are also reasonable. Great vibes!
google avatar

Miya J.

Yelp
Stopped in for happy hour and ordered a drink and these yummy cheese dip. The staff were polite and business started picking up as we got closer to dinner.
google avatar

Apple S.

Yelp
Service, interior, friendly staff and cheap prices all deserve 5 stars. The food however not so much. It's not bad but it's bland. The drinks looked delicious so I should try those in the future instead. We both had a combination number 5 for lunch and it was meh. Portion was good for a lunch. Complimentary chips and salsa.

MR B.

Yelp
The service was unacceptable. The hostess was unprofessional, unbecoming, and directly rude. I have dined here previously and was exceptionally disappointed.
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised with our lunch today, especially based on previous reviews. The food was hot, fresh, and very good. The tamales my husband ordered were obviously homemade. There was a good ratio of meat to masa. Good flavor with medium level of heat. Service was lovely.
google avatar

Bryan U.

Yelp
This is such an enjoyable place. They have lots of seating, including a patio, and their menu is pretty extensive. Because I have celiac disease, I love that they have some really nice gluten free options. The waitstaff is always very nice too.

Marilyn M.

Yelp
Cecilia is one of the best bartenders I've ever encountered. Her attention to detail was unmatched. I told her what I wanted and she was able to make suggestions for me. The only thing I wish she did was tell me the food here sucks ass, but I can't blame her for that. Come see Cecilia but don't eat this fuckin basura
google avatar

Claire M.

Yelp
Love Las Delicias! & the fact that it's so close to my place! The #1 thing I appreciate about this spot is its variety of options - big, small & reasonable. The green Chile fries are smoooothered in green Chile and so much cheese - truly delicious.+ You can get a smothered chicken burrito for only $5! Oh and you can't forget the chips & salsa - complimentary & tasty. Additionally the service is always attentive and the atmosphere is laid back. I'll be back again and again!
google avatar

Andy G.

Yelp
Wow; this place has been in the same location for years, but why I don't understand. My normal go-to place a few blocks away was closed (not sure why) so we headed here. Slow service, waiters drenched in smelly cologne, and underwhelming food. I had the chili relleno plate; food was not hot (temperature) and the rellenos were bland and soggy. Chips were cold and salsa not very tasty. So many options for mexican food in Denver; won't ever go back here.
google avatar

Linda R.

Yelp
I can't figure out why the Uptown Las Delicias is so inferior to their other locations considering the amount of money that was pumped into this Mexican (cough) eatery. More than once have been disappointed (ordered sm menudo and was basically a pig's foot) so as the saying goes, per George Bush, "There's an old saying in Tennessee--I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee--that says, 'Fool me once, shame on... shame on you. Fool me--you can't get fooled again. '" Basically, ordered a burrito (not smothered) - the woman taking the order said they come smothered - weird because it has to get built first. So I asked if I could have the "smothering" on the side and after some time she agreed. Little did I know that to them this meant packing my order - smothered and then when I called shortly thereafter, the manager, despite my request to have this removed from my credit card, told me, "no." She directed me to drive back. I'm including a photo of the bean burrito my roomate ordered. Let's just say, "it turned out flat. Literally a tortilla with a tablespoon of beans.

Steve G.

Yelp
Simply not good food. Stale in taste. Freshness long forgotten. Ingredients tired. Pride no longer lingering here.
google avatar

Kim A.

Yelp
Came here for taco Tuesday because you beat their $2 tacos for taco Tuesday! While they were small they were super tasty. I didn't have a chance to try anything else but would be open to trying something else next time. They have indoor and rooftop seating!

Scott K.

Yelp
Burritos and cheese enchiladas were good. Service was average. Nice contemporary feel.

Rose T.

Yelp
In all fairness, the food was different - I've been eating Mexican food my entire life being raised near Mexicali border, but never had experienced chili sauce dumped on with chorizo plate with beans... I was looking at 'authentic'.... Maybe it was, but did not enjoy it. Also, the first indicator of a good dining experience is service and my server, although pleasant, she was painfully slow and inattentive and it was not busy (had to ask for utensils and water refill)! Restaurant's ambience was nice/welcoming.

Ray C.

Yelp
What happened to you my fine long time Mexican restaurant? Server didn't know enough English to understand the order. The place left me feeling like is this the same place? Maybe ownership has changed? Not a good experience.

Bruce S.

Yelp
We've been going to this restaurant for years and their recent price increases on beverages is beyond reasonable. The food has always been fairly decent and this location seems to be a bit better than Colorado Blvd but after ordering a small draft beer (Dos Equis lager) with my meal the beer was $9 compared to my chicken burrito at $8.75. I guess the days of dining here for a reasonable lunch are over. The server said the increase was something related to another location (which made no sense). Sorry Las Delicias, you lost a long term customer. Suggestion, add a bar menu with prices to the table, although its my bad for not inquiring first.
google avatar

Bailey P.

Yelp
We were staying with a friend in Denver whose apartment was right across the street from Las Delicias. We sat on the roof top patio which was perfect. The occasional breeze felt nice and they had water misting too. The menu is very large and sure to have something for everyone. I ended up trying the cactus salad because I was intrigued by the idea of grilled cactus. The salad (and all the dishes in general) come in very large portions. You definitely get your money's worth. It is very rare that I can't finish a meal but I could only manage about 2/3 of this salad. Honestly, the salad was disappointing. The grilled cactus tasted good at first but it grew old real fast.

Wesley O.

Yelp
Hadn't been to this restaurant in many years but the food and service were top notch, thinking of going there tomorrow!

Joseph B.

Yelp
The wait staff are vindictive. The management are the same. They thought I was homeless and I was not but each time I gone in they treat me like trash!

Sherree D.

Yelp
We have been to the Las Delicias on CO Blvd/Kentucky Ave several times and always receive consistent, friendly, and prompt service. The food is consistent also. IMO their refried beans are the best I've ever had, but their salsa is consistently...meh. I was excited to try this location, which is actually much closer to home. First, atmosphere and location are great. The have a small patio at street level and a much larger patio upstairs. The indoor dining area is huge so I can't imagine ever having to wait to be seated, although I'm sure there are times when it happens. It was recently remodeled and the new decor is very well done. Second, we had great service. Our server was friendly and funny and seemed to ignore that my husband kept - inexplicably - calling him Buddy. ("Thanks, Buddy." "Can we get some more chips, Buddy?" I'm not sure what got into the hubs and he was a bit embarrassed once I pointed it out. He hadn't even had beer so...?) Our food was all good! One might even call it delicias if one knew how to speak proper Spanish. It was what I expected based on our experience at the other location. Again, best refried beans ever. Great tacos, nachos, quesadillas, burritos, etc. But, again, same meh salsa which I prefer to call Spicy Tomato Water. My only complaint (outside of the salsa) is the apparent lack of awareness re: guest comfort. We sat on the upper patio around 6pm on what had been a 92-degree day, so I totally appreciate why management had the misters turned on up there. But surely there's some sort of adjustment for those things so that guests (and their food) don't get drenched while eating. Getting to our table was comparable to a stroll through sprinklers and, once seated, the slightest breeze made the over zealous mist feel like steady rainfall. We joked that my son (who was anxious to go home and clean up after a cross country meet) no longer needed a shower. We noticed other guests laughing about it and wiping their faces with napkins, but the servers seemed oblivious. It was comical enough that we didn't say anything certain it was so obvious that someone would fix it. We were mistaken. ;) B O T T O M L I N E : We'll be back! We'll load up on refried beans, skip the salsa, and bring our own body wash.

K S.

Yelp
Last night my coworkers and I stopped in for a late dinner. There were 7 of us. The atmosphere was nice but we were disappointed in the drinks, pricing, food, and service. Our strawberry frozen margaritas tasted like water and costs $16. The sangria drink was good but again pricey. The food was average and not worth the price. One breast of grilled chicken and rice was $22. We felt rushed because they were closing and when we tried to pay our bill was disappointed when the staff would not separate our tickets. With a group of coworkers who need reimbursement by our employer we needed individual tickets however they refused to accommodate. We unfortunately would not revisit.

Yelp
#1 complaint: the extra guac you order is way too small! It's extremely overpriced in comparison to the quantity that you get. My boyfriend loved his smothered burrito. It was very well seasoned hot on delivery. I had the carnes platter (which was way more than I expected). It was seasoned very well and there was plenty of meat. I'm giving three stars because of the price per meal, per side, and the quality. It was good Mexican but you can have a similar quality for less in this neighborhood.
google avatar

Simone R.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! They probably have the best salsa in town, in my opinion. I usually get the smothered chicken burrito and it's always on-point! The person I came with got the cheese enchiladas which were fabulous as well! I will say the service at this location was significantly slower than the one up north, but the food is still delicious! Cheers

Ohm And Isi O.

Yelp
The service is lackluster. I called to make a to go order and who I think was the manager placed me on hold. I could hear the same person talking and laughing for several minutes so I hung up and called back. This time, they took my order. I was disappointed that when we arrived that the entire place was empty. The employees there were nice but the manager behaved like she couldn't be bothered to help us. The food was over priced. If you want tacos, go to Taco Bell because because I can assure you that the quality is better. The chile relleno was mostly flour with a tiny sliver of of actual chili. It wasn't even cooked thoroughly because you can still see the unmelted, shredded cheese (see the picture I posted). Make sure to get the free chips and salsa because that's the only flavor you'll get out of all their dishes. If you want to spend money at a high end Mexican restaurant, go to La Loma down the street. If you want better Mexican food, go to D'Corazon. I've given this place too many chances and don't want to go back after so many disappointing experiences.

Yelp
My friend and I ate here recently and it's really upgraded! The new-ish rooftop patio is cute and I love the vibe. They did a good job of following the COVID rules which I always watch for since it's my line of work. Our server was nice and so were the two people at the front. I loved the meal I got too so really just a nice experience, we will definitely be back :)

Emily M.

Yelp
Iris provided the best service! Could not give enough stars for her!! The food and margaritas are always on point as well.
