Stopped by Las Hijas de la Chilanga today and was instantly drawn in by the grills out front—couldn’t resist checking out what was sizzling. Chicken was on the menu, so I went with the full order and grabbed some quesobirria while I waited.
The queso birria was rich and flavorful, especially the consommé—packed with depth and perfect for dipping. The chicken came with tasty sides, and everything had that homemade, fire-grilled touch.
Service was warm and welcoming, and I always appreciate the chance to practice my Spanish with such friendly folks. Definitely a spot I’ll be returning to—authentic food, great vibes, and a local gem worth supporting.
