Las Maracas

They have some of the best food you can get! Their proteins are almost always perfect; as in when you order a chicken dish, the chicken is well seasoned and perfectly cooked to be juicy while still done all the way through. The service is always personable, and the staff are attentive and kind. I recommend coming here just because they are so good! I haven't ordered a drink, but as I've heard they are good. Not necessarily spectacular, but good nonetheless.

The food is definitely better during dinner service when you get it to go. My first visit during lunch. Waiters did not return to refill beverages. Lots of employees were present however, they interacted with one another and paid little attention to customers. I will go back but only during dinner. I will get my food to go.

Great Service! Very clean restaurant! Giant menu… has everything and under the sun. Also the happy hour deals are inane here. 32oz draft beer for 5$. Can’t beat this place.

Amazing little place BUT the chicken I got in my tacos genuinely tasted like dog (okay not dog but tasted weird and gross). The service was amazing. Friendly and fast. But I can't get over the awful chicken tacos. The queso was pretty tasty, and cheese quesadilla was tasty but maaannn that chicken... Wasn't right. My friend got enchiladas and loved them.

Me and my aunt had an amazing experience at this restaurant! We had been spending the night in the nearby hospital for several weeks and just wanted some good food to take our minds off of things for a split moment. The restaurant was clean and our waiter was very friendly and prompt. I don’t remember the official name of my dish, but I got chicken cheese and rice (with pineapples) and refried beans. They drowned my chicken in extra queso blanco. Normally places charge extra for the amount of queso they gave me, so I was not complaining whatsoever!! 10 out of 10 I would definitely be back to this place.

Great place for couples. There was no wait I had the streak group tacos with cheese and sour cream my girlfriend had the chicken cheese and rice with cheese sauce and chorizo we got our food fast and fresh and hot our waiter was very pleasant and nice very helpful with the menu all in all it was a great experience and time good, atmosphere to drink and relax

First time here. I thought the food was good, but not very flavorful. The service was very friendly, even though our server was pretty busy. I would go here again.

Good service, good food, good prices. Coming from Texas I was worried about finding good Mexican food. This place was great.

Service is hit or miss. Had nachos with hair in it and I don't think I'll be back after that. I did have to drive back to the restaurant to get a refund or get my nachos made over which I definitely didn't want. Not sure if I will be back.

I never give a one star review but they broke a golden rule. I asked if I could have chorizo tacos and not chicken. Chorizo was offered on the menu but was not included as a taco option and being a lover and frequent buyer of chorizo I know it is not an expensive meat product. The waiter said yes but he would have to charge me more. I said thThat's all I needed to know. I was happy with my margarita and chips. My husband ordered a full lunch. I won't be back.

Las Maracas, located on Gallatin Pike in Madison, is your standard Tex-Mex restaurant that servers all your favorites and even a few specialties, all for a decent price. As with any spot of this nature, their margarita and beer specials are always on point. In addition they do have a pretty stocked bar, so if one of those isn't what you want to wash down your enchiladas, then I am sure they got you. Parking for most places in this area of Gallatin Pike is pretty limited, so having a dedicated lot with a solid amount of spaces is nice here. There is a few overflow spots next door when it gets too full. Condition wise, Las Maracas has seen better days. Many of the booths are ripped, several ceiling tiles are damaged and stained, flooring is caked with worn in dirt and a bit of tables are wobbly. Food wise we have sampled a variety of things from the combinations, chilaquiles, burritos, quesadillas and of course the cheese dip. Food is standard, which is not a bad thing. It is exactly what we are after and what we expect each time we come here. Service is always hit and miss here, more so miss. We have been here three times now and not one time could be described as having "good" service. Overall, Las Maracas is a decent spot. Not the worst, and far from the best.

This location never fails to satisfy. My waiter listened throughly to what I wanted as I made very specific requests. Fresh Chips and Salsa arrived on the table as I sat down. I got the frozen house margarita that was perfectly mixed and Chimichangas with Chicken. The food was exactly what I wanted. The only downside is that the seating alongside the entrance of the restaurant is not tall person friendly. The table felt super low on my lap which caused me to move tables. Besides that money well spent.

Great food, great Margs! Accommodated us with a lot of people! Parking is a bit rough, but there is a gravel lot that is easily accessible.

I had a birthday lunch here at this location of Las Maracas. My party had multiple problems with the food orders, margaritas and drink orders. I had to ask the server multiple times for a refill and to just simply bring water. No silverware , I had to request this. I have no complaints for my food. But this post is to specifically address my guests concerns and the actual service. My friend was told to get up from her seat and go talk to the manager at the checkout counter after she was unsatisfied with her strawberry mango margarita on the rocks . She was ignored many times by our server when she complained that the drink was watered down and nasty. Another guest at my table got served the wrong drink and the server could not understand her wants to change the flavor. Her food also came out wrong and manager told her "it comes how it comes off of the menu". My friend specifically told the server "chicken and cheese quesadilla". She did not explain that peppers come automatically in the chicken. This is something that should be explained when ordering. I won't be back and I'm really sad that my birthday lunch could not have been better.

Pretty bad. Terrible service, no a/c in Tennessee summer. Two orders were way off, one just didn't come, waiter never refilled drinks. Save you $$ and just go to Taco Bell right down the street.

Delicious! My boyfriend and I are regulars. I usually get the Santa Fe Chicken or fajitas. The food comes out quick! We have had to wait a while for the check or final receipt, but the quick food service makes up for it.

As far as bulk, affordable Mexican goes, Las Maracas is among the best in Middle Tennessee. This location has seen its share of businesses but I'm glad to see the Las Maracas chain land here. Parking is a bear during busy times. Make sure you don't park next door at the bookstore. They tow often there. The food is consistent and the prices are great. Best of all, you can get in and out in less than 30 minutes if you need to.

Food is great. Two of my favorites are: 1) Quesadilla Gigante with either chicken or with shrimp and bacon 2) Chicken Fajitas - I always ask for added mushrooms in that one as it makes the flavor even greater (if you like mushrooms). We also often buy the pico de gallo and mix with our salsa - and it is fantastic. The margaritas are cheap, serving size is generous, and the service is great. Two things I like a little less 1) Parking is tough during rush time (come a little early) 2) The guacamole is almost too creamy

Good food. Margaritas will definitely give you a buzz. Reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!

To me, pretty much all Mexican restaurants are the same. Similar decor, similar staff, similar food, etc. This place was pretty much what I expected but loses a star or 2 for a few reasons. 1) a weird smell in there, kind of mothball/old lady-ish 2) our waiter was literally trying to get our drink orders before we were all seated 3) we needed a minute to look over the menu and he was lurking in the corner and kept looking at us like he was in a hurry and we were taking too long 4) the first couple bites of my taco tasted weird....right as I was about to give up and send it back the next bite tasted normal so I continued to eat it. I liked the chips. They were hot, thin, and crispy. Salsa was good, too. We had a lot of extra queso left over and he offered to bring us a to-go container and extra chips to take home and that was nice. I also liked the fact that I felt completely comfortable in there in no make up and not very cute clothes that I had been cleaning in all day. But really, is that a good thing?? I would give this place 2.5 stars if that was an option.

We had friends in from out of town and went to eat there and got drinks was at bar when we got our food and was eating a cock roach ran down the bar needless to say food was left and drinks spoke to general manager and he acted as if he was giving a discount a 73 dollar bill which would have been great if the place was bug free he was really rude and today I called and ask for owner was told I wasn't allowed to speak to them I had to talk to him hell if he didn't help yesterday then today would be no different do not eat there no telling what the kitchen is feeding you

The drinks specials are sa-weet! They also have dinner specials. Overall I liked my food because the portion size wasn't overwhelming but the beans were uber salty. The service was on the ball and the price easy on my wallet. I will say I like the Madison Las Maracas better than the Inglewood location. The inside is divided into two separate rooms and they have a parking lot behind the restaurant. You can't really see it from the road so keep driving until you get behind the building.

This used to be a good place to eat but recently it has gone bad. The service is slow, food is average and the smell of random glade air fresheners placed around the restaurant is enough to gag you while you eat! What's up with that?!

If I could give this a 0 rating I would. The service was horrific and the food was worse!! We came at 9:49 pm and they seated us, however the bar was closed and our server Alfonso was short in temper and rude! Will not recommed

I drank too many margaritas and left my car in the parking lot overnight and they towed my car before 11:30 AM the next day! This is completely unfair and I'm going to take them to small claims court

Mexican restaurants are all simular most people are aware of that beforehand, if you go to a Mexican restaurant in America and expect something other than "americanized" mexican food you should just stay home. If you want something different than "americanized" food, don't eat in America. Bottom line.....it's a Mexican restaurant

The service could be better, but the food is alright. Surprisingly, the coffee was great. They do not have crayons for the kiddos which is sort of unusual for a restaurant.

Food was not tasteful or authentic. Service was good and Margaritas were strong; but the food was not what it should have been. I'm also very picky about Mexican food. I think it should taste like it came from Mexico; not some Americanized impression.

It was great! Very nice people and the food fills you up with just a few bites. This food is the type you want to eat for left overs lol. It was so yummy!

My family has eaten regularly at Las Maracas for several years. We have tried many other local Mexican restaurants and have always returned here for the best! Their chips and salsa are fantastic!

I love the staff. They are funny and friendly. The food is quick and good.

I found the food quite average. I had chile relllanos, normally meatless, but this was stuffed with ground beef. The guacamole appeared to be processed : Mushy and lacked flavor. The shrimp Cocktail was very good with lots of fresh avocado and cilantro. Not sure why that same effort does not go into the guacamole. Service was swift and friendly. And it is a clean place as well. Not sure I will trek back though.

This place is pretty good. They have good portions and their food is quite tasty. We always get this amazing dip that's the best chip dip I've ever had. It's not on the menu but you can ask them to make it. It's queso, ground beef, sour cream, and pico... ahhh

To add to all the other reviews, I have to add that they did not have a changing table. Seriously, what restaurant doesn't have a changing table in the restroom? I had to take my 4 month old daughter out to the car in 90 degree heat to change her and came back to cold food.

Okay this is my favorite little Mexican restaurant in Nashville for the simple fact that the food is tastey and authentic. ..the margaritas will make your head spin..the salsa is spicy and the waite staff is friendly fast and helpful. They will give you what you want or change or add to anything. The feel is like you are in Mexico. It is colorful and quiet. It is clean.They score 100 on inspection. When I leave I am shaking hands and planning my next visit.

Yikes. Ordered lunch takeout today, just a shredded chicken quesadilla and cheese dip. I waited for my order and went straight home, one mile away. I get home to find that my quesadilla showed zero evidence of being on a grill. It was soggy to boot. I have to stick it in a pan myself for it to be edible. The east nashville location is far better. I won't be ordering from here anymore.
