Amazing authentic Mexican Food! Beautiful family owned place with great tasting food! We tried literally everything (group of 11) and it was absolutely delicious! Thank you for the hospitality we felt very welcome and service was top notch. Recommend this place if your looking for amazing flavor and just great food for the whole family! The burros where amazing!

We visited on sunday, was moderate busy ,I think it was the owner that greeted us, the menu that shows on the website it's not what they have inside the physical restaurant their menu is really small but if u ask they will make just about anything. I had menudo & ceviche tostada n he had coctel de camaron was really good flavor n menudo was boiling hot , some flavors were different, the 2 owners were very friendly, I only gave 3 stars cuz I got sick this morning 1/14/19 with diarrhea due to the food. Some of the food I ordered tasted not so fresh . Good service n promptness. Small business owners but not enough money or education to refrigerate their food well.

We stumbled across this place quite by accident. We were, however, pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. My husband ordered the menudo. If you like your menudo with hominy, make sure you ask for them to add it as they normally serve an all meat menudo. The menudo portion was generous and very tasty. I got two Gorditas. One filled with rajas con papa, and the other filled with nopales. Both Gorditas were delicious. Also, the size of the Gordita was perfect…not all doughy and plenty of filling. Their salsas are nice and spicy. The owner and family are delightful and super interested in your dining experience. They made sure we were happy with our food. We will definitely be back again in the future. Enjoy!

The only bad thing is looking for parking. But my torta ham was good. And the hot sauce was buring my tongue for about 5 minutes then it went away! It was good though.

Love their Food since they use to sell from their house Mom would buy us Taquitos con Lomo Y Cueritos,Now I live 2 hours away and drive those 2 hours just to Come and Eat Taquitos definitely Recommend it👌

We stumbled upon this spot after a... long night and we were in desperate need of some comfort food. We first looked on Google and saw that it had pretty good reviews so my friend headed over. I then checked it out on hers and saw that it also had good reviews, but seemed like a limited menu. It didn't worry me since we were all just looking for some soup but after my experience I can safely say that what they do offer is cooked to perfection and no part of the meal is lacking love. It's better to master 10 - 15 items then to have 40 options that are meh. The service was amazing. The staff was friendly, happy to ask questions and also very happy to make somewhat custom orders (for a burrito). They were also very attentive. The space in here was limited but it was still comfortable. I had the pozole, my husband had the menudo and we also shared their breakfast plate that came with beans, rice, sour cream, delicious salsa and an egg mixture that had onions, peppers and ham. All amazing. It's also came with this fresh bread that was so soft and delicious. We were very hungry so we were very happy that we ordered that. My gf also got some shrimp tacos that were delicious and also unique. They came with this salsa (a different one from what came with my plate but it was perfect for shrimp tacos). The burrito was made with potatoes, beans, Carne Asada, onions, peppers and cheese. The waitress was so happy to help my friend create this order. And it turned out amazing. We all had giant bottled cokes..and it brought us back to life. As we left the server overhead me say that I thought that my mom would lobe to try their food and stopoed and gave me a card for her. Lastly, you know the food is good when you don't take pics but just devour it. But it all look great as far as presentation went. 9/10 will try again. Only reason that it isn't 10/10 is because I'm not close enough to eat here as often as I wish I could.

Great hole in the wall place. Food is great. Also, make sure to grab a bottle of their own hot sauce. Bomb.com!

Food is so delicious I know this family from San Juan De Los Lagos Jalisco Their food is freshly made but takes a time for them to serve it to you. And the only down side it's really hot in summer no a/c only fan but great food clean

The food here is amazing. We love the tostadas de lomo and the plato de cueritos con lomo.

Food is some what good but my food had a side of attitude and couldn't really enjoy it and drinks weren't given until half way in my meal and that's that I drove over one hour to come eat here.

Friendly service and authentic food. My family has been coming to this spot for a long time. We typically have an order of cueritos with tacos de papa.

This place is a hole in the wall. My friend has lived in the area his whole life and passed by this place all the time. We decided to stop by to check it out and we were really timid about eating in but pulled the trigger anyways. We walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and it was empty inside with the exception of the two owners eating on one of the tables. They were kinda surprised when we walked in and were willing to dine in. My friend asked if they had enchiladas which we soon realized after that they didn't but the lady was able to whip them up anyways. I ordered the torta and both dishes were really good. We were surprised. It's not a very open welcoming location but the food was good which ultimately matters.

Just had menudo here . Friendly owners and staff. Chill place not loud . The menudo was superb to say the least. They have a full Mexican menu. Next time we definitely trying las tostadas de cueritos. The owner said it's another customers fav dish. Muchas gracias por el buen servicio.

El lugar perfecto para comer tacos enrollados estilo San Juan. No me habia dado oportunidad de venir, pero se sintio como estar en el Parian comiendose unos ricos taquitos. Lo recomiendo!!!

Soy de San Juan de Los Lagos y mi debilidad son los tacos dorados y las Tortas, la comida es deliciosa pero el servicio al cliente es pésimo la señora tiene mucha actitud a excepción del señor el si tiene buena manera de atender los clientes. ya van 3 veces que tengo mal experiencia y creo que ya no serán más por que no pienso regresar a ese lugar aún que la comida este buena, 1. Llame para ordenar y el teléfono lo contesta de mal modo. 2. compré 6 órdenes de tacos y 3 tortas y solo me dio dio dos vasitos chiquitos de chile le pedí más me dijo, ya te puse y yo le dije si pero solo 2 me puede poner más no importa que me los cobres a lo que el dueńo escucho y al ver todo lo que llevaba, rápido fue y me dio un vaso grande de chile y me dijo quieres más y le dije no, esta bien así, cuanto es?? me dijo no como cree nada así esta bien y si gusta más estamos a sus órdenes, si me moleste ese día pero la buena actitud del señor me hizo que regresará otra vez y esta vez ya fue lo último mande a mi hijo por tacos y también me dijo que le dio mucha actitud la señora y cuando mi hijo llegó a casa con los tacos ni un solo vaso de chile, no tenedores servilletas nadaaaa si eres de San Juan sabrás que el chile es el toque final que hacen los tacos Tengan ese sabor auténtico. No me quedó otra que ponerle Tapatio an mis tacos y obvio arruino el sabor. Cabe mencionar que les recomendé ese restaurante a mucha gente de San Juan y a mis hermanas y más de uno me a dicho lo mismo la señora tiene mucha actitud.

The dishes they offer are the most popular ones in the Latino community.The hot salsa are so rich in flavor and so are the amazing shrimp fried tacos My parents loved it ! Just called to order for pickup and the woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude and then hung up on me. Called again and she hung up again! What kind of customer service is this?

I recommend taquitos dorados de lomo(pro tip: ask for an extra order of taquitos.) The plate is very good and fresh.

This place is legit! Try the gorditas with chicharon, damn they're good! Christian's and Heather's stay away from here! This is real Mexican food not Taco Bell

This is the strangest place. It looks like a sit-down restaurant and there is table service, but they don't have menus, anywhere. Not on the wall. Nothing. The waitress seemed shocked that we didn't know what we wanted. I ordered beef tacos (seemed safe enough) and got taquitos with a HAM SALAD. That's right. Ham salad. My husband and son both got burritos. So I guess those are safe to order. My husband said his was good and my son ate his. I picked at my ham. For two burritos and a ham salad it was quite expensive. $27 plus tax and tip. The waitress only spoke Spanish, and there are no menus to point to what you want, so if you aren't fluent In Spanish I don't recommend coming here. My husband's first language is Spanish but he and the waitress had a hard time communicating, so when I say fluent I meant really fluent.

They are called las margaritas and they don't serve margaritas, lame, stupid, don't bother!

Snuggled smack dab in the center of Boyle Heights, Las Margaritas serves up dishes that are not so much inspired by the cuisine of Central Mexico, but near-exact replicas. Don't expect to find menu items displayed against a wall, or even listed in a traditional hand-out menu. You either have to ask the proprietor to recite the menu or take note of the highlighted items on their exterior windows (it's Mexican food -- you most likely know what you want before you get there). The bare interior is reminiscent of an 80's horror flick, which would help to explain why most orders are called-in and then picked up. If you dare to dine-in, prepare to be dazzled by their selection of glass bottle soft drinks imported from Mexico (yes sir, that's real sugar cane in them there soda pop). Don't let the medium-weight paper plates distract you from the spectacular (under $5) stars of the show: their tortas, tostadas and flautas. Most noticeably, these items are unlike popular versions in that they are drenched in crema (the Mexican version of creme fraiche). It certainly makes for a great take on some well-established Mexican faves!

As I decent of San Juan de los Lagos, it's amazing to have a place in LA that has authentic food style from San Juan de los Lagos. The taquitos are delicious and it's a really big order for one person. You will not be disappointed. The owners are super nice and friendly. They will approach you and make your experience pleasant and homely.

This place is soooo good! Very authentic and reasonably priced. You have to try the tostadas de ceviche camarones y pulpo. Make sure you bring cash!

This place is one of the best holes in the wall in East L.A. The food is just so delicious and has that clean homemade taste. My favorites are their Pozole, cueritos and tortas de lomo. They really know how to serve their food and they will customize your order if you ask. I have been coming for years and will continue to do so. The servers are great every time.

A must for me when visiting BH. I have been a customer for many years. I've been a costumer since the owner sold food from his home. So yummy, comfort food for thr soul.

I love this place. The good is great the price is great. Try the cueritos with Lomo and taquitos. It's delicious! I've never eaten at the place I always get it to go. I call ahead and just pick up. Not sure how long it takes if you order in person. I've never seen an actual menu. My parents have been coming here for a while before me.

A definite hidden gem in Los Angeles.. They have all the goodies from where my heart belongs to San Juan De los Lagos, Mex. Cajeta, candies, yummy taquitos con cueritos, medudito blanco and much more. I've been a customer since he use to set up shop at his house. Good bless this awesome family for being so good at what they do. You cant go wrong with anything you get to eat here. Not the fanciest Restaurant but hey what matters is the quality of food. You will not regret it! :)

I grew up living next door to both of the San Juan native owners of this little gem. Back in my days, he made these amazing meals from his home and sold them. Lucky US! Now, they have Las Margaritas Rest. to share the goodness with anyone who dares. I say dare because, it's a tiny place with no menu. You kina just have to know, or care to ask what they serve. They make these amazing taquitos topped with lomo, cueritos, fresh tomates, crema and queso fresco, cabbage and some really tasty red hot sauce. AMAZING! They also have gorditas de chicharon, tortas de lomo, tostades de cuerito or lomo, or both. If you're ever in Boyle Heights and want something different, stop by Las Margaritas. You won't regret it.

This place is excellent! Their crema is delicious. The taquitos dorados are the best. They are piled with flavors of lomo, cueritos, cabbage, tomato, crema! The tortas are amazing. I highly recommend stopping by and be reminded of the deliciousness of San Juan de Los Lagos JALISCO. You will love it :)

I love it! If you are from San Juan de Los Lagos, this place will remind you of your town. You'll love their tacos with lomo, cueritos, queso, and crema. Their tortas ahogadas are delicious. It's a run down place, but the food makes up for it.
