It’s your run of the mill mexican restaurant. It’s very local only a 10-15 minute drive from the city, and the food is just like home. The tortillas were buttery and soft and we left full! 🙏 service was quick and helpful. (I forgot to take a picture before we dug in)

Visited this location with my daughter for breakfast. As always the service was great and the food was excellent. The food was so tasty. I loved every bite.

Definitely five star customer service! ❤️ I love this place. The wait staff is always so nice. My kids love their bean and cheese with bacon. Went for my breakfast before my son's graduation. At first they were disappointed because they didn't have bacon for the bean and cheese. Right at the last minute after having to switch our order. The bacon arrived just in time and my sons were so grateful because for him those tacos are his comfort food before a exciting but a bit never wrecking day. Thank you so much to the staff for getting the bacon there on time to make my son's day special ❤️💯.

Food and service was delicious!! 🤤 all this for 10.50?! Can’t beat that at all!!! First timer I will definitely be back!!!

There are no words to describe this place.It's wonderful very polite and most of all very attentive. Our server Marisol made sure we had everything we needed The food was fresh and hot and very economical. You'll need to check this place out you will not regret it. Keep up the good work.

Wow👌 What a CLEAN Restaurant 👏 They even had a Hand Sanitizer Station 👍This was my 1st Time here. I ordered the Soft Taco Plate it was Delicious but I did not like the taste of the Red Sauce that is on top of the soft tacos. I liked the taste of the Ground Beef, the Beans, the Rice and the Salad was Fresh and Delicious 😋 Finally the Hostesses Marisol and Table Representative Manuel were OUTSTANDING TOP SHELF CUSTOMER SERVICE. I never had to look for them they were Magical because when i needed something Boom💥 they were by my table asking do you need anything? I will be Back to this Restaurant ❗️❗️❗️

I usually like this place. Very rude cook in the back. I ordered to go tacos and they gave me very hard tortillas. I asked for fresh tortillas and I would pay for it. The cook denied to make fresh tortillas. That’s just the way they are. Refused to sell me fresh tortillas…

Food is mediocre if you can move past the sewage smell permeating the entire restaurant.

Our server was exceptional. They were pretty busy and she was very attentive. The food was fresh and tasted great. The tacos are FULL of meat. They had Mexican music playing in the background. Just the right volume where you could still have a conversation. Parking is a little hard, but definitely worth waiting for a spot!

Great service and amazing food . My new favorite hidden gem . We had the mole , enchiladas, and a burger . Everything was amazing , my only regret is that this place is on the other side of town where I live .

1000000/10 service never been treated so well at a restaurant food is so good I had to order a second plate very good vibes nice seating the food comes out fresh and hot it's clean not a single complaint!

My family and I came from Houston for thanksgiving weekend. Everything is closed but Las Palmas was open. We happen to drive by and fortunate for us they were still taking customers. The service was great. Our server Manuel was extremely friendly and so helpful. Food was great!! Definitely would recommend this place. Small and friendly place.

Went to the San Jose mission and the tour guide told us about this place. Glad we tried it, it was delicious and a great value. The staff were so kind!

This authentic South Side staple has wonderful food at a fair price but what sets it apart is the wonderful wait staff and their willingness to put the customer first. When you walk in here you are not a stranger, you are family. I am a big migas critic, it was my favorite breakfast growing up and this is the only place in town that makes them like my grandma. Also try the menudo here. I have yet to go wrong with any of the dishes I order but if you just want simple, get a taco of your choice, you can't go wrong.

Took a chance on coming here since low reviews and photos .but glad we came great service and good food .beans could use more flavor but for the price great experience ate every single bite.

Today was a disappointment. I go here quite often for lunch. This was my first day taking an order to go....I ordered 9 tacos. All my carne guisada had exactly 4 cubes in each with an excessive amount of cheese as if to compensate for the lack of meat, along with half of them being literally chewy rubber! My bean &cheese with bacon had only one tiny piece of bacon per taco! Not even a whole strip?!The only one taco that was satisfactory was the lengua. Honestly you can see how they skimped out on the tacos that arent cheap!Unprofessional! Will not return! So sad that they were that cheap!

Best tacos in town. I was in the area to play golf a Riverside and decided to have a bite to eat at this little gem and wow it was amazing. The lady working the corner is sooo on her game, she really professional, she's a neat freak and she keeps the place spotless. I like the place so much that 2 days later I drove the family back over to that side of town for breakfast and they liked it as much as I did. This place is truly one of the BEST taco houses in San Antonio and I've live here all my life.

First things first -- the handmade corn tortillas will cause you to swoon. Delicious! Friends tell me the flour tortillas are also very good. Their food is all yummy and most affordable, especially the weekday lunch specials. The place itself is nothing fancy, but the staff is very accommodating. And this weekend, while I ate there on my lunch break, a couple of musicians came in and offered a lovely interlude. I REALLY like this place. And yes, you can pay with a credit card, just maybe not ALL credit cards. Go to the river walk for that.

My Favorite little Mexican place for tacos! They have daily specials for Lunch & the daytime cook is the best! Make sure to go before 2pm for his great food!

First time here and was not disappointed. The wife, myself along with some friends stopped in for breakfast after church and were quickly seated. The service was very prompt and the establishment was very clean. As for the food, everything was really delicious and cooked fresh to order! If you've read any of my reviews for Mexican Food Restaurants you'll know homemade tortillas are a must and this place definitely makes some of the best! Clean restaurant, fast service, delicious food - what more can you ask for?!

We had a quick bite here for dinner. We just rolled into town for the week and were tired and hungry. We both ordered the tortilla soup and it was very tasty and satisfying. It's basically a hole in the wall place. Waitress was very sweet to us gringos.

The food tasted very old. The service is good so sad to say I will not be going back. I should have know something was up. When it was empty. My son and I only ate very little. We left a lot of food behind. We left fast and paid for the food to be nice. Please don't try this place unless you want to eat old food.

Was referred here by a family member of mine. I was skeptical at first seeing as it was a small building with a lack luster look. Boy was I wrong. Guess the old saying is true " Don't judge a book by its cover ". The food was great and the restaurant is very clean. Everytime I go I order the 3 enchilada plate with guacamole. The wait staff is very friendly and while the atmosphere isn't the best the food makes up for it. Definitely worth a try if you are ever in the area. Forgot to mention that the chips and salsa is very good still. This place is a diamond in the ruff ;()

Good service with a smile. Great decor. Generous portions. Easy access. Not crowded. Authentic Tex-Mex dining. The flour tortillas melt in your mouth. Oh, the coffee is good, too.

EXCELLENT tasting authentic mexican food, LARGE generous portions (1 dinner plate can easily feed 2 people), very reasonable prices, and friendly service. This was my first meal while visiting San Antonio (im from CA and eat alota mexican food there so I definitely have standards)....anywaysss, i was riding my bike around the San Jose mission and came across this place half-a-mile from the mission. Even tho this didnt closely resemble a fancy looking restaurant, I decided to step in and take a look at their menu. The large variety of options hooked me and i decided to come back later and order takeout - a 3 tejano enchilada dinner plate with asada fajitas, rice, beans, and amaaazing tortillas! Thanks for the meal Las Palmas!

the Barbacoa there was greasy all the way through the taco dripping out all over everything and the bean and cheese were very disgusting did not taste good at all sausage and gravy was really horrible and when I ask for my money back cuz of bad service she threatened to call the cops on me like really I was being a good customer I will never ever go back there again to the one on Roosevelt and Southcross

Came in with a group of fifteen people around 2. They could accomodate us. I just had a bean&cheese and two carnitas de peurco. The b&c was good. The carnitas came regular or "hot spicy," naturally I got both. The hot spicy had a good heat and flavor to it. However the carnitas were basically cubed porkchop. I didn't enjoy it. Also they don't accept American Express as we found out.

Hidden gem! Everything is always as good as you want it. The cheeses used here are the thick cut kind so cheesy dishes are extremely tasty. Sweet tea on point. Check with them for daily specials

Food is good staff is super friendly but taqueria Guadalajara is right down the street, just drive one more minute for better food. Came here cause Guadalajara was closed

Excellent -- a little hole in the wall, but outstanding tortilla (I had corn), good fresh ingredients, very friendly service. And very every reasonably price -- generous lunch specials are a mere $5.99. Fun.

You know those kind of places that make you want to yelp in the first place? Las Palmas is one of them. I never really gave carne guisada much of a chance before having some in a taco here. Ever since I've been wondering around Houston looking for similar carne guisada but to no avail. This isn't a fancy place nor is it a very large place. It's not the kind of place you would expect to take an Amex nor accommodate a large conference type lunch but it's perfection and very reasonably priced. I dream of their carne guisada tacos and anytime anyone tells me they are headed to San Antonio I tell them to check out Las Palmas!

Was charged wrong. Ok no problem, WRONG! Waitress was rude snatched receipt out my hand. When asked for her name, said no, it was personal. When asked for owner/managers number she said NO. I told her I'm not going to sign until the error was corrected, she called the cook, who politely came out and apologized. She wrote in difference on the receipt and walked away saying she was busy. Visit at own risk! I will never go back. They ended up keeping/stealing my money.
