Las Piñatas - Review - Uptown - Chicago - The Infatuation
"Despite its name, you don’t have to break open any sort of papier-mâché vessel to try the Mexican food at this casual Uptown spot. Las Piñatas has classic handheld dishes like tacos, burritos, and tortas. The larger plate options include milanesa de pollo and camarones a la diabla." - John Ringor
Great food and cute little spot. Chips, salsa, and queso fundido were yummy. All of our tacos were really good, nice flavor and generous portions. Service was very friendly and attentive, and the decor was really cute.

I read the first nine reviews about this new restaurant. I was happy to see the new Mexican restaurant coming to the area. The food was not seasoned at all. We ordered chicken enchiladas no seasoning. It tasted like the chicken was just boiled and and rolled up with poured red sauce on top I thought the salsa at the table was going to be good because it was warm but once again it had no taste. I was very disappointed.

Good vibe, the waiter was very nice and they served the food at a nice speed. All the food was so delicious my favorite was the Tampiqueña. 👍

Just had a takeout burrito, but it was excellent. Great addition to the block and will be back for sure. 👍

Lovely dinner at Las Piñatas! The service was super friendly. We had the chicken enchiladas and a 3 taco dinner with Al Pastor, mushrooms and birria. Nice sized portions and lots of choice on the menu to keep us coming back. We had a coke and Jamaica agua Fresca drink, both refreshing and good flavor. We could tell much love and attention has gone into the food and menu. We loved the refried beans included with the dinner and warmed up salsa and chips complimentary right as you sit down. Soft drinks only as they get their license established, but a very welcoming neighborhood spot we will become regulars at. Highly recommend!

So excited to have Las Piñatas in the neighborhood! Friendly service, cute and clean atmosphere.
The food is what really shines! The homemade chips and salsa were delicious. The guacamole might be the freshest I’ve ever tasted! I got the Al Pastor, Carnitas, and Asada tacos as part of the taco dinner plate. Prices are reasonable and the food came out very quickly. Just wish we saved room for dessert!

Impeccable service and absolutely delicious food. Everything (including the totopos) is homemade. Can't recommend the pastor and and carnitas enough. And the flan was some of the best I've ever had. Welcome to the neighborhood!
