Band usually plays country music, sells wine and appetizers. Nothing is available to drink for the designated driver but coke by the can is available for $2 per can. Chef makes great appetizers and theres plenty of umbrellas for shade on the deck.

Google
A truly delightful visit. The wine flight was exquisite and thoughtfully curated—highly recommended. The food was exceptional, perfectly complementing the wines. A beautiful setting and a memorable experience.

I went there on a sunny day, we asked to sit outside. It's a very beautiful location. Lovely wine collection. They have good food. Our server was happy and served us fast. Weekends evening they have live music, they don't do tasting during that time. You'll have to order bottles. Definitely recommend this place.

Google
Okay venue for music. Food good but pricey. Wine is much better than Almost Famous. Very noisy if going to listen to music. High ceilings make the noise seem louder. They get good bands but the talking in the room makes it hard to hear. Hoping the outside venue lends itself better to music.

Google
Well, we made a reservation but the table wasn't setup for us when we arrived (what's the point of making a reservation?). Umbrella at the table doesn't work on a hot day, completely in the sun so we moved to a different table nearby but no one came to take our order, after half an hour we left to a different winery (Mitchell Katz) that had much better service. Would not go back.

Shruti R.

Google
We went in for a wine tasting. They were super nice as they explained what we were drinking in detail. They also give you some time to drink and talk with your company if you go in. They charged us $25 per head for wine tasting. The establishment itself was very pretty!

Google
We went for a wine tasting on a Saturday afternoon. The place was fairly occupied. We tried their $25 sampler and liked the selection. They have good food options. We liked the flatbread and brie cheese. Service is good, polite servers.

Google
Our first time ever at the Livermore winery, so glad to pick Las Positas , since we had planned this day trip with kids , I was looking for a winery which allows kids , has a good rating and nice views and all my criteria was filled by them. It’s outdoor has stunning views , small winery with no hangups. There were 5 tastings served in the very stylish wine glasses tower and all the wines details were written for the guests . The flatbreads we ordered were delicious and the cheese platter was quite nice too . I noticed they were very professional, cleaning/ sanitizing everything after the guests left .Our server Jack, was very friendly and knowledgeable. Infact all the staff was very friendly and courteous. And I loved their wines . We plan to go back soon 🥂

Yelp
I discovered Las Positas Vineyard 2 years ago at the Taste of the Valley event, but just finally made it in for my first visit. It was absolutely everything I'd hoped it would be. The ahi tuna tartare was what they paired with their wine at the event that night (I believe Albariño) and I'd been looking forward to visiting the tasting room for a full experience ever since. It was just as delicious today as I remember it being then- and I already can't wait to come back. I did the $25 wine tasting and enjoyed each, but the 2021 Estate Coccineous spoke to me most. It was a perfect dessert wine without actually being a dessert wine. Looking forward to enjoying this bottle by a winter fire with a book! A gloomy but warm day with beautiful views of the vineyards as bright reds and oranges start to beam through, incredibly friendly service from the lovely staff this afternoon (I'm sorry I missed named!) A perfect afternoon to myself!

Yelp
Fantastic experience!! Plenty of parking, ample seating both inside and outside and prompt friendly service. The views are also just stunning! My friends decided to get the white wine tasting which was $25. The wines looked delicious and I love the tower they come in, as it looks cool and saves valuable table real estate. Our server Bruce was such a damn legend! He was cheerful, had excellent recommendations for other wineries, and was nice enough to bring us samples. I didn't have any wine, but had thr albarino watermelon slushy. OH MY DAYS THIS THING IS SO SO SOOOO GOOD!! it was refreshing without being overly sweet and definitely one of the best slushies I've ever had! The flatbread was also quite delicious!
google avatar

Mus M.

Yelp
The wine tasting was great, but I wish they didn't put out all the glasses at once especially on a hot day. The service was good where we can see being checked on every once in a while. Gorgeous view of the sunset and everything was good until we asked for the check. We opted for the upgrade for tasting on one of our tasting to get the difference. The difference was $15 but when we were rushed to pay since they're closing they charged us $25 plus tip. So wasn't sure whether they were just off since be detail receipt or just trying to get more.

Yelp
Another hidden gem in Livermore wine country. Great tasting experience yesterday on the outdoor patio overlooking their 20 acre vineyard...and great food (tapas and flatbread) to go along with their excellent wines...we loved it and will be back for sure.

Yelp
Las positas winery was great. Honestly my fav part was their food! The wine wasn't bad but holy cow I was blown away by their awesome food selection, it was so tasty!
google avatar

Falisha R.

Yelp
Sure, it's to be expected. Outside seating, nice summer afternoon, food was just okay and priced at what you would expect. Nothing spectacular but if your hungry and want to go for a quick lunch and maybe hit a few rounds of golf I wouldn't say no. Service was okay as well.

Yelp
We decided to spend part of our Sunday here at Las Positas, and we weren't disappointed. The wines we tasted were quite enjoyable. They have two types of flights: standard and reserve. Since there were two of us we got one of each. There were several unique tastes, and it was good to see the variety that they produce. We sat outside at a table under a big umbrella. The view was lovely, and we spent a good couple of hours sampling the flights. I'd say that for the price, the food was just OK. We bought a couple of bottles, and they took the price of one of the flights off the bill. Nice surprise.

Yelp
Decided to try a couple of wineries in Livermore over the weekend and picked Los Positas. It were the 2 of us, a kid and a dog. Very hot day, 100 degrees that day. We did not need a reservation but since we had a dog, we had to sit outside and even though there were umbrellas, it was not completely shaded and that's why it's not 5 stars. There was plenty of parking and the grounds are beautiful! For the tastings, they had a mix of white and reds, just whites or just reds. I picked the whites and my friend got the mixed. The tastings were reasonably priced at $25. They bring them all out at the same time but the pours were really tiny. I enjoyed the chardonnay and my friend liked the reds. They did bring out an extra pour of their sparkling rose, that was a nice pour and delicious! They also have a menu of nibbles but we did not order any food. There was a special of 40% off the price of a bottle if we bought 4 or more. It was an easy decision since the sparkling rose was delicious. We split and bought 2 bottle each and the winery comped the price of the tastings as well. All in all a good experience albeit a hot one!

Yelp
We had a lovely time sitting outside and tasting a nice variety of wines! The wine flights were $25 for five tasting pours. On the day we went, the flight included 4 white wines and one Tempranillo. All were wonderful. Our server also offered us two extra tasting pours to try a sparkling and an additional red! She was very friendly and informative. The views of the rolling hills and vineyards were so beautiful as well! We would certainly return if we are in the area again.
google avatar

Marlene B.

Yelp
Las Positas is a beautiful venue with wonderful wines. Today they had a 21 Estate Tempranillo, 21 Estate Coccineous, 20 Estate Roussanne, 22 Estate Garnache, and 22 Estate Syrah. Just release this week was the Coccineous which was my favorite. Black cherry, plum and chocolate... I tasted fruit and nice smooth happy ending.

Yelp
I'm not a wine snob, nor do I play one on TV. But our visit to Las Positas was so friendly and welcoming that I'll make a point to seek out their wines in the future. And they ship to New York State! My mom was the one who found Las Positas and made our reservations. We weren't a small group, nor a quiet one, but the staff was accommodating. From the moment we all arrived, it was all we could do to take in the atmosphere. The facility was breathtaking and I loved the light fixtures in particular. We shared a few tapas plates, including the pesto caprese bites (more please!), the veggie supreme flatbread (no cause for complaints), and a charcuterie board that met everyone's needs. I'm not exaggerating when I say I loved the caprese bites. I'd get those again in a minute and then figure out a way to replicate the experience at home, on the other side of the country. Now, for the wine. I know this is the reason for our visit and this review, so believe me when I say the wine was just utterly amazing. The staff suggested I might like a flight of white wine, which is completely in line with my personality, so I did. I was given a sparkling wine (classic), a verdelho (tasty!), an Albariño (great discovery!), a rose (another classic), and a Chardonnay (a pleasant surprise). At the end of the flight, I loved them all. I go for sweeter wines, so I was expecting to be indifferent to the Chardonnay, but it ended up being one I'll seek out again. I also sampled some red wine that I wish I wrote the name of down somewhere, because I loved that too, and I don't often say that to red wines. I'm happy it worked out that we got to visit Las Positas. We had great food, fantastic wine, and some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. I'm not sure when I'll be back in the area, but the fact that they ship to New York State is a good fact to hang on to. Now, what are the odds I'll find this wine in a local store? There's only one way to find out.
google avatar

Kristina M.

Yelp
Debbie Cristian, instructor, did a fabulous job of teaching this two hour class on making sourdough bread. We got a small charcuterie board along with four pours of Las Positas wines during the instruction. This was a fun event that I recommend to anyone wanting to learn about sourdough making.

Kathleen W.

Yelp
The wine flight was beautifully presented, and the food was delicious. We enjoyed the outdoor seating in view. There was space for our dog to lay in the shade. It was a very relaxing experience.

Yelp
Absolutely THE BEST! The wines, the food pairing, the service, and the views, all delightful! And the servers, Curt the chef, and Brent the winemaker, all TOP NOTCH! You'll visit, be amazed, and go back! We have...for 10 years!

Yelp
4.75* (out of 5) Food: 5* Atmosphere: 5* Value: 4* Service: 5* 04/15/2023 Our friends picked this place during our visit to enjoy on a sunny afternoon in California and we all really enjoyed the experience. As a matter of fact, our friends liked it so much that they ended up signing up for the Wine Club - so they will get to enjoy the place during new releases throughout the year. For starters, we shared the Baked Bourbon Brie Cheese and all of us found it delicious - the bourbon and brown sugar sauce drizzled over the top was so tasty! For our 'main course' we each enjoyed a Wine Tasting (see picture) - samples of 5 different wines, served in a metal 'tower'. The presentation was unique and each of the wines tasted great. We enjoyed the 2021 Estate Rose best of the whites and the 2020 Estate Merlot best among the reds. If you found this review helpful, please show your appreciation with a Like or a Follow. Yelp
Hello All I gotta tell you how great of a time we had at the winery! The food was just simply put...,amazing! You might hope for some nice apps to coincide with your experience, but then you are stopped in your tracks by the culinary surprise! My guests were not expecting such fabulous food. With the twist on their previous Ahi Tartare, the experience was just amazing. Thank you to Chef Curt, your sense of appropriate pairings was top notch. Sometimes it's difficult to experience great food, wine and service all at once, but you guys killed it today! Thank you for making our afternoon so special, and making us look good for belonging to "your" place ! Krystal and Se-Bass, you are the best!

Yelp
I arrived at 3:50 pm on Sunday and was told that it was too late. The last seating is done by 3:30 pm. So they recommended I buy a bottle and I took the sparkling wine to enjoy on their patio. I met a couple of ladies who did not hesitate to share a bottle with me. We had a fun time. Their sparkling is fabulous if you're looking for something more fruity and sweet. The view was beautiful. I hope to return to do the full tasting.

Megan K.

Yelp
Loved my experience at Las Positas! Such a nice selection of wines in a beautiful setting (the Barbera was my favorite!) Everyone is so friendly and personable, including Sara and Krystal who helped my table. I loved that they had yummy food beyond just cheese and crackers. Chef Curt did a great job with the menu, from the baked brie to the flatbreads to the pork belly tacos. Thanks for a great time! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
We went here to celebrate my friend's birthday. Every aspect of our experience was amazing. The sun was setting over the hills and the view from the tasting room was spectacular. The Italian architecture and interior designs are so elegant and perfectly capture the celebration of wine and good food. We tried the 2021 Estate Cabernet Franc, the 2023 Estate Verdelho and the 2021 Estate Merlot! WOW! We've been to many wineries all over the world and these were some of our favorites. We were delighted to see the menu full of gourmet choices! I had the Baked Bourbon Brie cheese. The DOUBLE CREAM BRIEF CHEESE was drenched with bourbon, brown sugar, and parsley and came with a side of toasted pita chips! Heaven! My friends ordered the baked sun-dried tomato and artichoke dip, sweet potato fries, and the smoked pork belly taco. Truly delicious! Raves all around. We finished by sharing a couple of slices of the flourless chocolate cake. The chef topped it with a raspberry coulis, chili powdered sugar, and caramel with toasted cashew topping! If you're considering taking your family or friends out to experience our wonderful local wineries, make sure to make Las Positas Winery one of your must-visit spots! It was wonderful! FIVE STARS!!!!!

Sidharth M.

Yelp
Amazing experience today at Las Positas Vineyards. We had 2 guests visiting from England so wanted to take them for a typical Livermore wine tasting day. After few stops (one really bad one), we ended up at Las Positas at 3:40 pm. Hostess was so nice and kind and offered to sit us with an instruction to order the food first at kitchen was closing in 20 mins. The food was as amazing as the wines. We had a great time and ended up buying some wine as we left! Great location, ambiance, wine, food and above all customer service! Truly a Livermore Gem!

John S.

Yelp
As Wine Club members for several years now we always look forward to an amazing tasting experience in a spectacular setting at Las Positas! From the quality wines to the creative food pairings offered by Chef Curt Pipes it makes for a truly enjoyable, enchanting afternoon. Vineyard views and warm hospitality offer just the right balance of sophistication and intimacy, making Las Positas Vineyards a "must stop" for any enotourista!
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
A wonderful venue with great wine. What sets it apart from other establishments with good wine is the food. They have a very talented chef who offers a variety of contemporary high quality menu items.
google avatar

Phuong F.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience wine tasting but then went outside to enjoy some music and the waitress told us we were crossed eyed. Who says that??? She was extremely rude and unprofessional. Don't come here if you want to have a good time!!!
google avatar

Adam L.

Yelp
Amazing food, service, ambiance. Really huge fan of the wine, the restaurants, and the wait staff

Doug B.

Yelp
If you ever want to have great wine good food and great customer service!!! Crystal will make this happen can't recommend this place enough!

Kamelia G.

Yelp
I had an absolutely beautiful experience at Las Positas Vineyards this afternoon. The red flight with the mushrooms stuffed with Italian sausage was devine. Adam was the cherry on top of my first visit to Lad Positas. He was very knowledgeable of the wine and made sure my first experience was one to remember. The Cabranet Savigon Reserve hugged my heart.
google avatar

Chelsey Y.

Yelp
I came here twice and I had really good experiences both times! Here are the highlights that I have from these experiences: * Good service! Although there was about an hour for each table, they were kind enough to let us stay for an hour longer. * You can try as many wines that are offered. * The first time I ordered the wine and food flight. The food flight had a variety of different crackers, cheeses, and meats. The second time I ordered the flatbread and it was pretty good! I would say if you're a bit hungrier to go for the flatbread, but if you're looking for a variety of foods then the food flight would be the way to go. * They offer the really tiny bottles from Costco which is very sanitary, but sometimes I felt bad to get so many of those bottles so I would suggest bringing your own water bottle if you drink a lot of water like I do haha.

Bo C.

Yelp
We are from Cleveland Ohio and we're in the area on vacation. The wine and food were both great. Our waiter Michael and the chef were attentive and eager to please. I am gluten free and although limited the staff was happy to do what they could to accommodate me. Great experience I would recommend you everyone.

Daniel G.

Yelp
Came for great wine but stayed for the delicious food and outstanding service! Curt, the chef, was attentive and always checked in to see if we were happy with everything and we were!
google avatar

Jessica N.

Yelp
I have been to this winery a few times and have always enjoyed my visit. The ambience is nice with nice views. It's never crowded so you can always walk in without a reservation. Definitely affordable wine tastings in comparison to Napa. I was there during Halloween weekend and was pleasantly surprised they decked out the winery in decorations. Even the menu had a Halloween theme. It made for a fun visit. We ordered the blood orange mimosas and it was quite tasty. I have tried the tasting flight and have to say I don't love any of their wines. I mostly come here for the pleasant atmosphere. There are definitely better wines at other wineries in Livermore.
google avatar

Jason G.

Yelp
So this is first and foremost a winery. But it is also a restaurant. As a winery, it's 3 stars. As a restaurant, it's 5. I think it was mid-afternoon when we visited, but for some reason felt compelled to get some food. We shared a flatbread and it was phenomenal. It's worth the visit to the winery alone for this. The chef happened to come around while we were still tasting and spoke with us a bit about his creation. He rotates items seasonally so we will have to come back and see what's on the menu in a month or two. Unfortunately they don't publish the menu on their website or even advertise that they have food. A secret gem! One's evaluation of wine is highly subjective, so I'm not going to dig deep into this aspect. I liked only one of the sampled wines here. I bought a bottle but didn't join the club. We'll be back for the food, not for the wine. The patio has a pretty impressive view. That's also a nice bonus.

Richard L.

Yelp
Las Positas has the best wines in the Livermore Valley. Its location can't be beat as the beautiful winery is surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and fantastic views from the outdoor seating area. However, it is the staff that really shines at Las Positas. Curt, their chef, is an imaginative professional who never disappoints with food selection and quality. Bret, the winemaker is approachable and highly skilled in his craft. The servers are all wonderful with a special nod to Bruce who has always been a pleasure to interact with. I wish I could remember the names of the other great servers but needless to say, they are outstanding. If you haven't been to Las Positas you are really missing out on a great experience and delicious food and wine.
google avatar

Samantha P.

Yelp
I am so incredibly thankful to this vineyard for having such an amazing staff. Every single person we interacted with went above and beyond and that meant so much! The wines at this vineyard were the best that I tried all weekend, the Verdehlo was a dream and the Obscurus and Coccineous were the best reds I've had in a while. Also A+ for presentation!

Michelle C.

Yelp
We just had another wonderful tasting at Las Positas. Whenever we are in town, Las Positas is a must stop for us. It is the whole package from great wine, incredible food, friendly service and beautiful views! A special shout out to Chef Curt for the best culinary experience and pairing recommendations. We will definitely be back again.

Yelp
I like this winery a lot! It's a great spot for a nice afternoon sip. My wife and I enjoyed their mimosa and wine flights. My favorite wine was their 2020 Estate Verdelho; it was crisp, bright, peach and citrus notes. It was delicious and not too sweet either. I also enjoyed their 2017 Coccineous red blend which was full bodied and creamy. I love how their flights are served in this rack that swirls from top to bottom. The patio seating is nice with a good view of the vineyards. Good music is in the background as well with their servers frequently checking on people. This is a nice intimate location with not too many people around. We are definitely coming back again!
google avatar

Marshall Y.

Yelp
Outdoor patio is open and has a nice view of the vineyards Tastings are by appointments but also available during the weekday Staff are wearing masks, and give you all the tastings all at once on a wine glass tree stand Food options available that pairs nicely with the wine We happened to be there on a day when someone may have had too much and collapsed. The staff was very professional in handling the situation and getting the person help quickly.
google avatar

Esper W.

Yelp
If there was a 6th star, I would give it! We were lucky enough to have our holiday party for teachers and school staff here, and it was a total hit. We had a blast! The vibe is cool and comfy inside, making it a top-notch spot for wine and food. The service? Super friendly and they knew their stuff. They helped us pick some great wines (I liked their Cab Franc and Verdelho) And the food? Delish! Their flatbreads were a hit with our group. First time at Las Positas, but definitely won't be my last!
google avatar

Joanna B.

Yelp
Join! You should visit then you should join! Mike took care of our little trio. All the while he guided our fantastic food selection and generally provided fabulous service. Check out the events list here! It is remar. Imagine blending your own varietals! Imagine competing against someone else's varietal whole you're at it! You can do that here!!! I'm all about fun competition. Guess what! They bottle and serve the winning combo. Come visit and join!

Karen P.

Yelp
There are many good wineries in the Livermore Valley, but my absolute favorite is Las Positas Vineyards. Winemaker Brent Amos offers a great selection of award-winning wines, complimented by a delicious assortment of small plates by chef Curt Pipes. The winery, surrounded by vineyards, offers beautiful views and friendly service. Check out the upcoming events to see a variety of musicians perform. Sitting on the patio with a glass of wine, overlooking the vineyards and Sycamore Grove, never fails to impress me. It's one of the many reasons why I love Livermore!
google avatar

Janette W.

Yelp
This is the kind of place that can really put Livermore on the map. It's a beautiful place and there isn't a bad seat in there. They were doing unique combinations of bacon and red wine tasting the day I was there. This is a good place to go during a day of wine tasting because they also offer light appetizers and flat bread- perfect for soaking up the vino.
google avatar

Guate M.

Yelp
We brought our mother here for her birthday/Mother's Day and enjoy the wine flight. It was beautiful nice sunny weather and my mom had a great time.

Shellee A.

Yelp
Just had another fantastic day enjoying great wine with beautiful views! We never get tired of coming to this place! The food is always on point and the staff go above and beyond to take care of anything we need. It's our favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon

Kelly S.

Yelp
We were a group of eight ladies celebrating a birthday and chose Las Positas Vineyards because of the beautiful atmosphere and the live music on Friday night. The wines and appetizers were delicious. With that said, our encounter with the Assistant tasting room manager, Krystal, was anything but welcoming. We arrived with a small tray of cupcakes for the birthday girl and was told that we could not bring them in and that we could purchase cheesecake from their menu if we needed a dessert. We were not aware of their policy against bringing food in. I would understand if we brought our own snacks and beverages, but that was not the case. As a party of eight, we spent a good amount of money on numerous bottles of wine and appetizers at $20 a plate for everyone. Krystal was so rude and dismissive. As a service industry "manager" I would think she would handle situations with more grace and tact. Clearly, she was not having a good day. If your planning a celebration at Las Positas, I would not work with Krystal.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
Gorgeous setting amongst the vineyards, outstanding wine, friendly staff, beautiful tasting room and terrific live music on the patio!

Kurt C.

Yelp
So my wife had me go on a wine tasting in Pleasanton. Didn't really wanna post this because I don't wanna look bougie, but had to cause I don't have any complaints. This was the best winery on our tour. The charcuterie was good. The wine was good and I'll power it up pretty good. We ended up buying a couple bottles at this winery. Ambience wise I think we had the best time here as well. Would repeat.
google avatar

Lyna T.

Yelp
It was my first time here and we had reservation at 3:30 but arrived late at 3:45. I made sure to call and let them know that we were running late which they were still accommodating but let us know that we won't have a lot of time left. When we arrived, we checked in and they seated outside with a nice view. We ordered wine tasting menu which included 2 whites, 1 rose and 2 reds. Our favorite was the 2020 estate verdelho. Since we ordered a bottle then it covered our tasting. Tasting was $20 and the. The bottle was $35. Our wine server was friendly and bubbly. We paid out the bill and we were able to stay there until 5:30 though our reservation ended at 4:30. Overall, it was a good experience, we got a good table with shade and nice view, and the tasting wasn't too expensive.
google avatar

Andrea C.

Yelp
Had reservations for Saturday afternoon and sat on the patio with friends. The wines on the mixed tasting menu were all wonderful and the tapas (baked brie, caprese bites, pork belly tacos, and flatbread pizza) were delicious
google avatar

Theresa S.

Yelp
Las Positas was a breath of fresh air! The wine was lovely, served in a unique metal spiral holder that made each table look like a holiday. Our server was helpful and friendly. The value was good for the tasting and a little charcuterie board. I will definitely visit again.
google avatar

Kimberly N.

Yelp
Staff are super nice and it's a cute vineyard. Wine is just average but you get what you pay for. I would suggest visiting at least once if you're in Livermore.
