The location isn't great but the food is. Seasoned and authentic. The service was great as well. Needs a bigger building with more space

Attention No coman aqui, te cobran propina aunque tu no quieras darles nada y son caros como ninguno. Do not go here, these people are reaping you off. The only reason I ate here is because the other taco place over by Food Depot was closed already because it was late. I ordered to eat in three taquitos and when I paid I decided not to give them any tip but she asked me if I wanted to give tip and ri opted out. And I asked the cashier if they were collecting tip without customers authorization and she said no, but after I paid I found out she had collected tip automatically. So I was kind of upset and I told the lady that she had collected tip without my authorization and I told her it was that right and she dismissed me quickly with a bad attitude

It's a small Mexican restaurant at the gas station. Their food actually was good, I've been eating a lot of Mexican foods and this restaurant is one of small gem. They only have few seats inside them, but they do have lots of foods options even French fries and chicken wings. Good hot sauce they got also added some kicks to my food. We dined in, and didn't get any tortilla chips (was wondering if they forgot about it or they just simply didn't serve chips). Price was reasonable, we simply spent around 40$ for 2 people.

Amazing service. Ordered the birria pizza chicken tacos and since it was my mom’s birthday today I also bought their tres leche cake with strawberry filling and also purchased 2 slices of their cheese cake. I just want to say both cakes were absolutely delicious and amazing. Will definitely recommend it all. One of the best cakes 🎂 ever.

The price was different than on menu but I get it ,30 cent more. However the tacos were nice size. Steak tacos needed just a touch more seasoning but was tender. Biggest plus it's 24 hours Few places to sit but there is a sitting fee and remember 24 hour the foot traffic could be sketchy. Advice grab n go

Only thing that matters about this place is the store hours... 24 hours a day 7 days a week!!!! Mexican food anytime you want. They are always open. Open all the time!!!

Great late night services. If you're hungry and everything is closed Tortas Ahogadas will take excellent care of you . I got 3 carnitas and 3 chorizo tacos- Mexican style with the cilantro and onion- I really enjoyed my order. I also liked their fresh tomatillo salsa, yummy! No complaints- literally ordered food 3AM my food was made within ten mins and was GOOD. I'll be back for more late night ventures. Ambiance-The restaurant is right next to a gas station- there's parking and it's not fancy. Great prices, great customer service, great tacos.

Terrible. The woman who took my order had a nasty attitude bc I asked about my simple taco order that wasn't ready after waiting 40 mins! Didn't call in bc they won't make call-in orders until after you arrive and pay. Visiting from Houston and she said Al Pastor and Barbados tacos are cooked to order... which lowkey makes no sense.... Barbacoa is slow-cooked and Al Pastor is cooked on a trompo. Waiting almost an hour for 7 tacos is outrageous.

Their food is not very good but it is the only place that's open late at night if you're absolutely starving and desperate. Nothing tastes fresh ever, their aguas "frescas" are just koolaid or packs of sugary drink mix from the store. The place itself is just sketchy and a little scary. The inside is visibly dirty, bathrooms are unkept. It's just not a pleasant place to be. If you want a good dining experience at a nice Mexican Restaurant with authentic (or even just good) Mexican food. Drive past this place and keep going..

While filling up my gas tank, I spotted a restaurant and decided to get a meal for myself and my wife. The restaurant's interior was notably small and dim. During my order, I noticed some unforeseen additional charges and found it hard to hear the cashier, who spoke quickly and softly. After waiting a short while, I took the food home, including birria tacos for myself and shrimp tacos for my wife. Regrettably, both the birria and shrimp tacos were underwhelming, tasting like typical, everyday tacos.

Don't let this place fool you, looks questionable since next door to a gas station. But the food was excellent! I was pleasantly impressed. Food 5 stars!

The chicken tacos were a bit dry but it cane with the green salsa sauce which helped a lot.

I had a chicken burrito and it was pure perfection. I can't give a review on anything except for the burritos. This was delicious. It was tender and the sauce left me craving more. The place isn't the most upscale place. But these kind of places have the best food. I think next time I may try a shrimp or steak burrito but this 1 burrito was so big I couldn't finish it in on sitting. They don't skimp on any ingredients. You will definitely get what you pay for.

The food is good.The owner is nice and friendly. My only issue is the outside the building.I could walk in without several dudes asking for money of trying to sale dope.It's crazy Forrest Park use to not be like that. But overall food is good!

I got the regular chicken torta. The chicken was very dry, and everything was lacking flavor, or salt.

Attached to a gas station & the food is decent. However, they ALWAYS forget to give you your entire order. PLEASE CHECK YOUR FOOD. I went the first time & got home, they only gave me half my order. I went the second time, checked before I left, they forgot my consumé Went a 3rd time, ordered my food, waited 30 minutes only to pick up my food & the chef refused to make something I ordered. The cashier WASNT gonna tell me that my order wasn't complete, it was only after I checked my food (from previous experiences with them) that I noticed I was missing items & was told I was missing them because the chef refused to cook it. Had it not been for me checking my food, the cashier was never gonna mention that my order wasn't complete

Very bad customer service. The staff is rude and disrespectful. I tried to call in a pick up order and some rude girl didn't know if they accepted take out orders or not. She gave me an attitude for no reason and hung up the phone on me. We were nearby so we stopped by to see why she hung up the phone, but she tried to act like she didn't speak English at first. She was rude just like how she was when we called. She didn't act like that towards the White and Hispanic people that were in front of us. Black folks, take your business elsewhere. They don't want our business.

My Inital review: The wait staff is a tad rude. The assumption that everyone has been to your establishment is ignorant. I am from outta town, she was not helpful in answering simple questions as to how items are served. Just watching her interact with other customers. Besides that the food was alright, nothing to be ranting or raving about.. they can make a descent taco. I grew up eating authentic Mexican it was cooked daily.. Late night spot. Since moving here: I haven't been not once... there's several places in GA to get good authentic Mexican food without the BS... got there

Although the tacos, in my opinion, were overpriced, they were very flavorful & the spicy salsa gave the asada the perfect finish. I liked the fact that they are open late, very convenient!

Benefit of opening up 24 hours. Not the best but descent tacos. Tripe was hella crispy and my sopes was okay. Served on a chip plate. Prices aren't too bad. But you get what you pay for!

Love love love this restaurant, I have witness multiple times how some customers are extremely rude and think this place is subway "have it your way" and get mad when they get charge for anything extra (which is written on the board ). That's why they say READING IS FUNDAMENTAL! ! I have seen how bad and how hard they make the waitresses/waiters life just for simple following the rules that are in place by the owner of the small business . If the roles were reversed half of them would not put up with their own attitudes. EITHER WAY , FOOD IS AMAZING

Very pissed! The business says 24/7! I went in at 05:45 to have some food. First, NO GREETING, like: Hello, how are you? or Buenos Días, ¿cómo está? They tell me, no food, that the kitchen is closed for clean up. "Clean up! Clean up!" I have worked in 24 hr restaurants in the past. You don't shut down the kitchen to clean it in a 24hr restaurant, YOU CLEAN AS YOU GO! ¡LA COCINA SE LIMPIA MIENTRAS SE USA! One hungry, angry, dissatisfied, REGULAR customer! The food is good here. BAD customer service. Buena comida aquí. HORRIBLE servicio al cliente.

I wasn't thrill with this place. Location attach next door to a gas station. No available parking. The restaurant itself was too small. They only have 4 sitting tables available if needed to sit and eat your food. No room for you to stand and wait for takeout. One person working the counter. She took orders, cashier, wait on tables, answered the phone, packed to go orders etc. Had ordered some tacos and kids quesadilla and the meat was too dry and crunchy. The taco itself was OK. I had better tacos other places that was more a hole in the wall kinda place. Fairly the only thing I enjoy was their salsa. Oh boy that red salsa was spicy it made my eyes tear up cause it was that spicy. But I kept going for more of it. Open 24 hours if your that hungry I guess this place will do for take out. Other then that go somewhere else for a better casual dine in.

First off this restaurant is open 24/7. What more can you ask for? I am a very picky individual so if a restaurant gets 5 stars from me it's because the food and it's taste and quality had to be exceptional. Upon walking into the restaurant I observed how clean it was. Yes the seats are a little dated but this place has an old world charm and coziness about it. The staff was not grinning from ear to ear BUT the young lady was very attentive and helpful. They have a dessert case that's to die for, cakes, flan and other pastries. I ordered the carne asada, lengua and tripa tacos. The beef soup, the steak dinner and a slice of flan. I'll definitely be a return customer.

The thing I like about this place is that they're open late. And the food is good. Quick and easy Mexican dishes to make any body happy. Everything from burritos to quesadillas to papas fritas, to boxes of Jumex and other specialties to boot. It's surprisingly a comprehensive menu for such a small establishment. But I've been here a handful of times, each time after 10pm, and the place is always at least half full. One thing really bugs me is the presence of a Discover credit card sticker on the door. They don't take Discover here. In fact, I'm pretty sure they don't take credit here. (I would not be surprised if they COULD, but choose not to.) Only debit. So bring cash or a credit card. Otherwise, the burrito I'm eating is warm and filling. Tasty asada wrapped up in a gently grilled flour tortilla with all the usual trimmings. It's totally hitting the spot. And the red salsa they gave me is providing a nice burn. HOT! Good stuff. I'll be back. Holler if you're coming with.

The food was excellent! My boyfriend, my son and I decided to drop in at 2am. We saw online the place was open at that hour and deck to go. When we got there, the restaurant was beside a busy gas station. There was a long line. It was a hole in the wall. The food was amazing we ordered Mexican style tacos, beef and shrimp, American style tacos dish and shrimp which were all the best! We also ordered a chicken tortas, it was very tasty. When I want tacos, that's the place to go. I will be back!

Dont get me wrong I still love the taste of this place, but I dont know what happened to them!! Over the pandemic they've went downhill!! My boyfriend that passed away introduced me to this place & I fell in love, but these past 2 times has been the worst! NUMBER FREAKING ONE, THE GIRL BEHIND THE COUNTER HAS THEEE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, SHE NEEDS A HUG!! (Yes all caps) Ok so a sign posted in there says that the beef, steak & whatever has had a shortage so they raised the price FINE but dont cheat us. Either keep the same price & cut the portion or raise the price & keep the same portion....NOT RIGHT!! Cant raise &&& short us damn! As I stated I've been coming here for a long time so I know cheese & sour cream comes on the taco salad which use to be my favorite but both times I havent gotten either. The second time I asked the girl, didnt it come on there, she stared at me blankly & shook her head no. Whewww chilllayyy with her attitude & my attitude I said freak it smh. Then one of my tacos you can say didn't have hardly any meat in it, you could see the bottom of the taco & to top all that off my taco salad had a big ball of almost raw hamburger meat. Like wowww I'm Sooo disappointed, this was my place now I dont know what to do. They've failed me (OK Rant concluded) I'm hurt

So it was 2:29 am and I had a hangover and wanted something to eat and someone recommended me this place.I drove to the location and I was like I hope it be good.So I decided to get 4 tacos and Steak tacos. The food is very good and tasty.They give you a very large amount of food.The customer service was good.They give you time to read the menu because they have a lot to choose from.I would recommend this spot to anyone who love Mexican food. I will be seeing them very regularly now.

My usual middle of the night stop for anything that I'm craving. It's attached to a gas station but don't let that fool you, they are serving up some delicious authentic Mexican dishes. I looooooove this place! And everyone I bring with me always goes back again and again. I hope they stay open forever! Very casual, laid back, small but cozy atmosphere. They have fresh juices and desserts. Today I had the filete a la diablo which is fish in a red spicy sauce served with rice and beans with salad, I added a side of avocado and a large half pineapple half mango juice. Everything is always fresh and hot

I give them three stars because they're 24hours. Which is a plus. The food is good if you like authentic Mexican food. The authentic tacos are to die for. The cucumbers they give are a bit old and soggy. Cucumbers are supposed to be firm. This junk looks and feels like it's been sitting in water soaking.... It's a very small space so planning to dine in, will be hard. The workers are not that friendly. They barley speak English. When you call in to place an order, you can barely hear them. They gave someone my order before, which sucked!! And the service is not fast at all. You'll be waiting up to 20 minutes for your order of 3 tacos, if you're lucky. Overall, if you're drunk asf and craving for Mexican food, this is the spot!

This establishment had terrible customer service. I placed a telephone order with a man and when I arrive 30 minutes later they told me I did not place an order because I did not send a text message. I was never instructed to place an order via text message the man took my order and told me ten minutes. I asked if he need a name for the the order and he hung up in my face. After arrival when I was told I didn't have an order. I tried calling back while literally standing in the restaurant to see who answers the phone, and watched the man press the end button on the phone 4x as I repeatedly tried to call. Just blatantly disrespectful. This establishment will never have my business again. Oh wait there's more. So I finally reach via telephone and replaced my order. I ordered 20 wings (flavors) $14 and a chicken burrito $9, my bill total was $38. WTF. I called yet again. And asked for an explanation as to how my total equaled $38. The man told me because he split the wings, therefore he had to multiple it. So I got charged $28 for 20 wings. NEVER when I saw NEVER again I mean it.

Doesn't look like much n located at a gas station but possibly the best Torta Mexicana I've ever had!! Best late night spot, highly addictive - I've been here four times since last week. I'm from a big city and consider myself to be quite the taco snob, would definitely recommend this place for delicious authentic Mexican food!

Dive, baby, dive... Tortas Ahogadas is at the corner of Old Dixie Hwy and I-75 in a cramped convenience store parking lot. If it weren't for the neon signs the restaurant has in their window you probably wouldn't even notice the place was there. Even if you did notice you may not even be compelled to stop because I gotta say that whether you're black, white, brown or yellow, the people passing through here look a little rough. You know, some of the best meals of my life have started off this way.... Tortas Ahogadas (I didn't order a torta so I'm still not sure what they're drowning in) from the inside is a small (and none too fancy) restaurant that harmoniously bridges that strange gap between take-out and sit down dining. The tables are few in the small dining area but what they do have are booths and they're comfortable at that. You order at the counter and in addition to the regular menu there are handwritten specials of the day. While the menu looked great, I was immediately drawn to one of the daily specials: Costillas Verdolagas Verdolagas or Pigweed as it's commonly called here in the US...now there's some authentic Mexican cooking you don't see every day. What arrived at my table was excellent. I mean seriously excellent. The ribs were falling off the bone tender and the slightly tangy, slightly salty, flavor of the verdolagas was a perfect match to the pork. The portion was enormous and the price was very reasonable. Tortas Ahogadas also delivers -and- I believe they are open 24 hours a day. Big bonus! Tortas Ahogadas might look a little rough from the outside but on the inside I can tell you that there's nothing but love going on in there. Highly recommend! Check it out!

First time visit, just so happen that my usual taco place kitchen closed at 8. I had this place bookmarked in yelp for some time and have yet to try it (What better time as I have a taste for tacos and only that!) I got 3 steak Mexican tacos, before I pulled off I was anxious to try them, so I had one and immediately had to go back in for 3 more!!! Yes they're that good(flavorful) and the fact this place is 24hrs gives it extra stars! Don't hesitate to visit you won't be disappointed. This has now become my go to for tacos!! Not too many Mexican places actually season their meat perfectly... they nailed IT!!

they have very good authentic mexican tacos ... it's worth the wait but they almost NEVER answer the phone for call-in orders. They have had an hour wait once which was so unacceptable, and I definitely did not wait for this particular time. Anyway, they're meals are inexpensive and very tasty, just plan incase there's a long wait.

Saturday, November 6, 2021 - I had gotten a burrito to go from this gas station taqueria once before and it was good, although the restaurant is not even that clean and well-kept. That should have registered as maybe not the best place to eat. I was craving a good homemade burrito for dinner. I drove down there and was looking forward to a tasty treat. When I walked in, I saw a hand-written sign on the counter that had about four point of info on it. The first said they had to raise their menu prices because of the pandemic and shortages getting a lot of what they serve. The last point said there will be a 15% charge on all orders. No explanation on why this was. I asked if I could dine in and the girl said yes but that would be an extra charge. I said, I will just get something to go. I look over the menu and decide on the burrito pablano which has three meats but didn't say anything about the chili? I asked for a small Tamarindo aqua Fresca too. The girl starts ringing up my order. She charges me $4 for the $2 small aqua Fresca. The burrito on the menu was $8.75, but she rang it up as $11.75, then informed me my total was $22.57. I said What? She said, Oh, the burrito has three meats in it so that is $2 each for two added meats. Stunned, I looked at her and said, I am not paying $22 for a burrito and I turned around and walked out. She replied in an insincere, deadpan voice, Well, you have a nice evening. Never, ever, ever will I patronize this gas station hole-in-the-wall ripoff joint.

Tonight my husband and I wanted some Mexican food however it's super bowl Sunday and everything is either packed or closed. We decided to try Tortas Ahogadad. I remembered I had booked marked this place a while back because it's open 24 hours. I'm glad I did cause the food was so delicious and you get a pretty descent portion. If you're in the area I would highly suggest trying them.

Tacos were alright the chocking wigs were really good and juicy . It's a little store located next to a gas station

So this place is cool if it's like 3:47 am and you don't want waffle house. It's actually like a Mexican waffle house. But the tacos are decent, customer service is okay, but get something simple because the girl who takes orders acts like she can't understand when you said no cheese, I always end up find freaking cheese on my burrito. Ugh! And watch out if you order some thing a certain way, I ordered a steak and shrimp burrito and she could have just looked out to help me save money by ringing me up for a steak burrito which was 6.95 and adding shrimp which was like 2.50 , instead charged me 8.50 for shrimp burrito, 2.50 for steak, I paid 13.50 for a burrito, that still had cheese on it and little to no shrimp or steak. Stick to tacos

On Wednesday , March 16 I proceeded to get the chicken quesadilla and when I got my food I noticed it was cut like usually so I went back in to ask my the cook can cut it "The Cashier" "said no he is not going to do it " I was like I'm the customer you know so he went back there and the cook said no btw I didn't touch the food ; it's a big quesadilla. I procceed to ask for my money back and the other like just cut it . Ive been going their since I was kid And this was the worst customer service ever ! You will never get this money ever again ! Y'all ride asf !!! Ughhhhhhh

Giving it a 3 star because they disappointed me with their customer service and lack of professionalism even though the tortas were bomb. GREETING: Horrible. This was my first time here and I was excited to have an authentic taco restaurant near my house. When I walked in I wasn't even acknowledged, but I got my own menu and read it. There was no where to sit so a lady said I could sit next to her. Then the cashier who didn't acknowledge me asked if we were together. No hun just because we're the same color does not mean we're dining together. If you welcomed me like a proper business person who would have known that. PROFESSIONALISM: While I was waiting on my food to cook I overheard the cooks or whomever in the back getting into a heated argument and can't even count on one hand how many F-Bombs were dropped. All I could think about was I hope they are not arguing over my food. NOW TO THE REAL DEAL THE FOOD: I order the spicy pork, tongue and beef tacos. Bomb as hell. I also ordered the Texana torta. My first time having one and it was alot better than the tacos. Bomb as hell. Oh and they are open 24/7. They would have gotten a 5 star but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone becuase of their lack of customer service.

where do you go when it's the middle of the night and you're craving enchiladas? rice and beans? flan?? TORTAS AHOGADAS. it's right off the highway, so it is highly accessible-- and it is dependably open 24/7. gotta give them their props for workin' the kitchen and counter to give drunken visitors a yummy, hearty meal at 4am. also, there is limited parking but they are never too busy.

I want to give this place 5 stars sooo bad because the food was amazing!!!! BUT the service was so bad I want to give them a negative 5 stars. My friend and I came here late at night as it was the only decent place open that wasn't fast food. We walked in and wasn't acknowledged AT ALL! Even at the counter we were ignored. I asked for a menu and sat at a table. Again at the table the girl served other Mexican people but ignored me and my friend didn't even ask if we wanted something to drink so again I reached out for her and told her we were ready to order. I ordered a steak burrito and shrimp taco and my friend ordered 3 chicken tacos we waited almost an hour for our food. We literally were about to get up and leave when our food finally came out. Didn't even apologize for the long wait or try to say there's one person in the kitchen or whatever was the delay. As we sat and ate other people that came had the same obvious issues with service that we had. The food was great though. They need to teach those two girls how to greet and better customer service. Sheesh. Basic greeting and acknowledgement would've been appreciated.

Yes!!! I visit this place habitually when I'm craving tacos. The best part about Tortas Ahogadas is that it's open 24/7, and that's why everyone I know affectionately refers to it as the "Mexican Waffle House." There's a lot of variety here from tortas to flautas to burritos, but after trying so many things on the menu, I always revert to the tacos. Typically, I order specifically the beef tongue, which is extremely tender, and the spicy marinated pork, which has so much flavor. Don't forget to check out the drinks too. The mango drink is so good and really completes the meal.

Praise JESUS!!! Wow, I asked Google for the nearest place for fish tacos, and this place popped up. After a late Friday night church service, I decided to stop in, I was a little apprehensive at first, but when I got home and saw those beautiful fish tacos and a bean Burrito and sides,I was very impressed! The food was absolutely delicious, I tried not to eat it all, but I couldn't stop until all was gone. I can't wait until my next visit Blessings Be Multiplied!!!

I'm in love with their Mexican style steak tacos! They are very authentic to Mexican food, fresh, and absolutely delicious! The staff are very friendly and welcoming too. I've been in this place so much in the last week and will most likely have dinner here tonight.

Horrible services We just purchase 2 Tortas one was milanesa The meat on it was hard You can not even cut it with your fingers, the onions on the torta were whole, big pieces of onions and the salchicha torta was dry Like no mayonnaise on it Y'all just lost a costumer
