⸻ ⭐️⭐️ 2-Star Review The server didn’t seem knowledgeable about the food or drinks. I ordered pasta vodka was okay. seafood pasta diavolo it was more like a soup than a proper pasta dish. The flavors didn’t feel authentic—this doesn’t taste like a true Italian restaurant to me. On a positive note, the place was clean, but overall the food and experience were disappointing. Not what I expected from an Italian restaurant. 2 stars from me

Went here for a company lunch and the service was great. The server attended us often, which helped us get our food quickly and promptly. The food was good and the portions are big.

We booked a table for 10 to celebrate my son's graduation, and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. Graduation day is notoriously tough when it comes to getting reservations—most restaurants are fully booked—but this place was incredibly accommodating and made room for our group. The staff was kind and welcoming, which made our celebration even more special. My personal favorites were the beet salad and the spinach and goat cheese salad—both were fresh and delicious. Everyone loved their entrees, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The seafood fra diavolo usually comes with a spicy tomato sauce, but since my husband doesn’t eat spicy food, they were happy to adjust it for him. My daughter couldn’t stop talking about the LaScala fries—they were a big hit! We only wish we had discovered this gem sooner. My son has already graduated, but we’ll definitely be coming back for future celebrations!

Went in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Had a very enjoyable experience. The ricotta honey with bread app was delicious. My wife loved the wild mushroom truffle pizza, and the meatballs with rigatoni in tomato sauce was good. The portions are generous, and if you like ricotta cheese, you'll love this place. It's an ingredient used throughout their menu.

Loved this place and the beautiful cozy vibes. Went in for dinner today. I had the shrimps while my friend had the grilled salmon. We were served complimentary bread that i enjoyed with the shrimp sauce. Also celebrated my friend’s graduation with a Tiramisu. Jenna was a great server!

Had dinner with college friends during Penn homecoming weekend. It's hard to believe this is the same area I lived in 'back in the day' LOL. It was nice to see all the improvements and new development throughout the Penn/Drexel footprint; not to mention all the dining options. We had mostly food trucks back then. Dinner was very nice - seating was good, servers were friendly, atmosphere was lively. For a table of 5, we ordered cocktails, appetizers to share, and entrees. Food was nicely prepared and everything tasted good. The only minus is that service was a bit slow and disorganized throughout, despite there being a lot of workers. It took a while to get drinks after seating. When it was time for entrees, one member of our party received their entree, and 15 minutes later, the rest of us were still waiting. I'll write that off to a busy night due to the homecoming crowd. Overall, a nice evening.

Please don’t be persuaded by the good reviews, at least if you’re thinking of getting this delivered. Ordered the spicy chicken cutlet rigatoni, linguini with truffle cream and the lascala fries for delivery. The chicken had absolutely no flavor and had a really funny texture that I’ve never really seen before. The sauce was also watery and tasteless, besides the hot honey. The truffle cream looked like it was reheated, poorly might I add, with the oil being completely separate from the clumps of cheese/truffle, making it just an oily mess that’s practically inedible. The only edible thing was the fries and even those were very lackluster for costing over $20. All these dishes together came out to over $70 (pastas also came with no bread…) At this price point I expect much better quality. I understand that some food just might not travel well, however I don’t think that is what happened here. Maybe eating in person is better, however if you’re getting it delivered, any local pizzeria by you will make better food at a much cheaper price.
