"Watch freshly carved deli meats get shaved on the spot and see them get tossed across the room into a bun. Yes, LaSpada puts on a show, but its ingredients — spanning capicola to genoa salami to sweet peppers — are equally captivating." - Jesse Scott

Google
These subs are incredibly delicious. The flavors are perfectly balanced and satisfying. I was also impressed by how quickly my order was prepared. This place is a great option for a quick and tasty lunch. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Brooke Purcell

Google
This place is great! It's exactly what I wanted. We had the italian and the meatball. We were able to split one large we italian for 2 people, and we were stuffed. My friend got the meatball, and it definitely tasted like they were made in-house. We will definitely be back.

Elizabeth Martinez

Google
Best hoagie EVER!! ❤️ I have this every time I’m in the area. I dream of this sandwich. Very big n good quality ingredients. Hits the spot!!!

Tamara Burrows

Google
This is a Great thug fight. There are great options for different types of subs, you can get a veggie and they have lots of toppings. The day I went in it was only one person and he made my son quit and they were all right. The restaurant is a little small for sitting but it is very custom-oriented.

Michael Jones

Google
This place rocks. I miss the Pembroke Pines location being open. Luckily, I could eat here while at the convention center for a few days. I ate there for lunch two days in a row. My visits felt like the days before Covid when you received substantial portions of good food at a reasonable price and excellent service.

Paola Benitez

Google
Amazing sub, exactly what I needed after a hangover. Great quality ingredients and staff. Will definitely become my sub spot.

Chazz Chiamardas

Google
These are the most gargantuan and tasty Hoagies I've ever had. You can't even duplicate them at home. I drove 1 hour to pick them up for a special occasion. They need more if these stirs north of Boca. Good Golly!

Wendi D

Google
The subs are always fire and the roast beef nice and rare. The service could be improved upon, and so the store itself could be updated. They didn't toss the meat like they used to (at least like they used to at the Davie location, but it's been years since I was there). Expect to pay $20 for a large roast beef sub which can easily feed 2.

Yelp
Stopped by there this afternoon while wife and I were touring around Lauderdale beach. Wow Whatta find. Hoagies were amazing the dude making the sandwich very friendly and the price is pretty dam good for the size of the Hoagies. We will be back for sure next time down in Lauderdale beach.

Mike C.

Yelp
This place is famous for sandwiches, and rightfully so. You won't find better ones anywhere. We come to Lauderdale every year for the boat show, and we go to Laspada's three or four times a week! Every sandwich I've tried has been great, so just pick what you like. A whole sandwich should be enough for any one. I generally save half for later. Tends to get busy at meal times, but these guys are fast -- as well as entertaining -- and the prices are great.

Becky F.

Yelp
The staff are super friendly! Great ambiance - As soon as you walk in the shop you know you're on for a great experience. The sandwiches are top notch!! The bread is delicious and holds up well to all the delicious meats and toppings. The meats are so fresh and tasty! Honestly one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time.

Rick C.

Yelp
Hands down the best hoagies I've ever had. They pack so much meat in their hoagies it's almost 2 meals. Couldn't wait to dive into it and forgot the photo.

Ryan O.

Yelp
The most remembered part of the day will go on for years as I look forward to To going back the most cool server that made my service there amazing like they came fast and check in to see if we need anything the food was great loved every moment

Paige G.

Yelp
A true culinary delight! The flying meats must descend from heaven itself as the sandwich it lands upon is a glorious creation. The sweet and hot peppers are also a must. Highly recommend!

Sean B.

Yelp
Gigantic subs! Their Italian is classic and very meaty. Sandwiches come out quickly unless there's a line, and there often is because it's so good. Extra points for watching the guy who slices the meat toss it down the line and land it right on the bread 10 feet down.

Blaiz C.

Yelp
Literally the only place you need to go for a sub. Always consistent with multiple locations. Always fresh and friendly service.

Alicia G.

Yelp
5 star freshness at La Spada's! From the bread that holds up to sauces for a perfect leftover experience the next day to the supremely fresh produce, cheese and meats this ranks with one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted. The meat blanket on top is such a thoughtful and generously aesthetic touch without intending to be. The service is quick and kind. The shop is clean and well kept. So happy my coworkers out me on to this low key Hoagie Lord. I will be back again and again.

Joseph W.

Yelp
Ham, turkey, roast beef & Swiss. That's all I got to say! Delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDWARD W.

Yelp
We stopped in on our way to the airport as we were leaving Ft. Lauderdale. We wanted a sandwich, but not something that was something we could eat every day back home. Laspada's was outstanding. My wife had a small ham and I had a small ham and turkey. The sandwiches were bigger than I expected, but very tasty. They had lots of meat and lots of toppings. I highly recommend stopping in.

Madison S.

Yelp
This sandwich is stacked, and the small doesn't seem so small when it's stacked to the brim. Super great deal for the cost. Meat is fresh, and I highly recommend. Staff is fast and friendly, fast casual spot with a handful of tables to sit at.

John H.

Yelp
Don't be fooled-'small' is a LOT of sandwich, and it's delicious. We got in the queue and put in our order. The staff works together very well and everyone was polite and friendly. I got the Buffalo Chicken, and my wife got the Chicken Salad. There are plenty of toppings, and the sandwiches are over-stuffed, to put it mildly. Fresh, flavorful ingredients, great service, and something for everyone makes this a must visit location.

Vicki S.

Yelp
Laspada's has been my go to for submarine sandwiches it feels like my entire life. Decades. And not one bad experience. Not one. Lately I have been trying to have less bread so I order an antipasto salad which is an Italian Special sub as a salad. It's a great deal, super fresh everything, $10 and it takes me two meals to eat it all. I don't know why they are and always have been the best in town but they are and five stars seems on the low side for such long time flawlessness. Five stars. Just go.

Laura H.

Yelp
Best subs freshest bread and meat... can't beat the service fast and NICE folks they seem happy there it's refreshing. Can't go wrong with Italian and the tuna !

Bob B.

Yelp
Stopped in tonight after work killer roast beef and turkey place is outstanding service is great like my one for sure. Stop in Fort Lauderdale whatever I come down.

Joe G.

Yelp
Fresh rolls, delicious meats, and someone called a "meat thrower", what's not to love? I grabbed an Itallian Special with veggies on a white roll. What stands apart: They layer the meat with the veggies, then add a final layer of meat on top (see pictures). I give this location 10/10 all day every day.

Shikira H.

Yelp
True to their name for best most stacked deli sandwiches in town. When they say New York style they mean it. These subs are super and enough to share. Staff is always smiling and entertains their customers when the place gets busy. It's a famous lunch stop so be warned for those periodic rushes.

Marty B.

Yelp
I was encouraged to try this place and I was not disappointed! I had the 8" Italian Sub and it was amazing and big enough for 2 meals! Fresh bread, fresh deli-sliced meats, fresh veggies - yum... Can't wait to try their other subs!

Ryan B.

Yelp
Sandwiches are always great the people working there are nice Great place for after the beach

Matt A.

Yelp
A couple friends and I decided to give this place a chance and it was well worth it! I got the monster and it was incredible. You could quite possibly leave this place with the meat sweats after the sandwich because it is loaded to the brim with excellent quality meat. Part of the atmosphere is them throwing the meat down the prep line like a salmon in an Seattle fish market. Great place that I will definitely return to if I'm ever back in town.

Emily K.

Yelp
I get why this is a local favorite. The ingredients tasted fresh and delicious! My partner and I both got salads (chicken & tuna) and dang! I love the vibe in there and the employees all seemed to be having a great time and enjoying work which was good to see. Although it did smell like some of them might have just smoked a joint, LOL, it doesn't bother me.

Anna-Kay B.

Yelp
Yummy, yummy sandwiches. There's not much variety in the menu options but the choices available are delicious. I ordered a small salami sub with mayonnaise, sweet peppers, onions, tomatoes, salt and pepper, oil and vinegar and American cheese. *Chef's Kiss* 10/10. I don't like as much meat in mine so I requested less salami. *Chef's kiss* 10/10. I love that line here moves quickly and the sandwiches are customizable. They lose one star for cleanliness. In my opinion, they should have someone constantly wiping tables/sweeping up after customers are done with their meals. They have enough staff to do so. My friend and I I just ended up eating outside. Another solution is simply taking your sandwhich to go. All in all, I'll come back for another sandwhich dance party in my mouth. Idk y'all, Publix may have to watch out. These hoagies are fire.

Larry F.

Yelp
what can I say about this place that I haven't already said? This is still the number one hoagie shop in South Florida. They give you loads of meat, loads of toppings, and loads of deliciousness. You have to try it at least once.

Walter W.

Yelp
Solid Hoagie but boy do they charge for it. A sandwich and chips and we were about $22 in for just one. Its crazy town nowadays. The white bread was just OK. I would probably choose another bread and id also ask for more mayo or maybe some peppers to add some moisture to the sandwich. It was a tad dry.

Marina K.

Yelp
Sandwiches are $17-$20 now, still same limited toppings and still no toaster. They actually charge to get wheat bread ? Last time, was our last time..

Walter W.

Yelp
I'm not gonna go into detail about the negative experience I had today at Laspadas, I'm just going to praise Logan the manager for rectifying the situation. I've eaten at various Laspadas locations for the better part of 15 years now, and for the first time I have had a negative experience today. Logan handled it like an absolute rockstar and made the situation right. It's very rare that you come across honest business practice nowadays. It used to be the norm. Shouts out to Logan you're the best.

Jacquie S.

Yelp
Always consistent, delicious hoagies. Very busy always but they're fast talking the orders.

Taylor L.

Yelp
I meannnnnn did you even come to Ft Lauderdale if you didn't go to Laspada's??????????

Marco R.

Yelp
Best hoagie place in the area, period. Fresh, made quickly and great service by staff. Love going there!!

Kathleen H.

Yelp
Was staying nearby while visiting my daughter, and had a hankering for a sub/hoagie. Saw all the great reviews so picked up two hoagies. It was a little hard to find, and the GPS took me to Primo Hoagies, which is right off Eisenhower. Laspada's is little bit further north on 15th ave. I knew I was in the right spot when I walked in. The line was long but moved fairly quickly. I ordered a small monster (ham, roast beef, turkey) with everything but mayo. My daughter had the small Italian with everything. The meat is sliced right as you order. I read where the small is really a large sandwich, and was not disappointed. The meat and ingredients are piled high, and man oh man was that delicious. I haven't had a hoagie that good in so very long. Was surprised at the price as well, very affordable. Am looking forward to my next visit, my daughter says it's now her go to place when she wants a hoagie.

Shaena T.

Yelp
I came in today and on a Sunday and the line was backed up like crazy and was not moving fast at all considering how many employees were at the counter... and I happened to get served by a woman who clearly must've been new because she was so slow..she's probably the reason the line was so backed up..and she was being stingy with my toppings on my sub, putting them on one at a time.. it was pissing me off and I had to keep telling her add more of everything.. she also didn't ask me about cheese so I had to remind her to put cheese on my sandwich when it was finished...the end result of my sandwich was not that great because it didn't have enough toppings. They also started upcharging for wheat bread which is absurd.. and the price of extra meat is an arm and a leg..I've slowly started losing interest in coming here.

Drew K.

Yelp
Sadly I found this place very mediocre. But positively, the portions are enormous. But perhaps if you like these kinds of sandwiches, it's perfectly sufficient.

Val M.

Yelp
Amazing hoagies made to your liking. Very fresh ingredients at this location they make you feel welcome. The staff preparing the hoagies interact with you and make you feel special

Barkeiya O.

Yelp
The monster lives up to its name. Worth every cent, quality meat, fresh toppings, the wheat bread had a nice flavor and was not stale even near the close of their business day. The restaurant was clean, the employees pleasant. It was a short walk from our hotel, Im glad I convinced my travel companions to by pass the chain a little closer.

Kim L.

Yelp
I can say with confidence that the sandwiches made here are the best I've had in South Florida. I am very picky about my sandwiches... so trust me when I say this place hits. The line was long when I came in to order but it went by fairly fast. The location was bright and clean and all the workers behind the counter were cheerful and very nice. You choose what type of sandwich you want, a kind man freshly slices the meats to order, and you get to garnish the sandwiches. I picked the tuna sandwich on white hoagie and a special Italian on white hoagie. It was delicious and the hoagie was moist and soft even after being refrigerated the whole day. The tuna received 3 large scoops of tuna and the Italian had a ham topping on top of the meats, cheese, and veggies. The sweet peppers and spicy peppers went really well with the Italian. So much meat. So worth the price. Check them out.

Cheryl P.

Yelp
Hidden gem sandwich shop on the back side of the shopping plaza. The line was at the door when I arrived. Service is slow but they are very precise and methodical about making your sandwich the way you want it. The shop had 1or 2 female patrons but it was primarily working men enjoying a good sandwich and chips for lunch. I was so undecided about the sandwich I wanted but I ultimately chose the meatball sub and although I know I can only eat 1/4 of any sub at a time, I ordered the large. Only $13 for the large and a better deal for the money. Unfortunately the person helping me didn't ask any questions about how I wanted it, but she quickly found out I wanted mayo and pickles in addition to just meatballs and marinara. The meatballs are huge; the marinara was okay but not the best I've had on a meatball sub. Very thick and full of chucks of tomato. Taste was more commercial than homemade. The meatballs themselves were well seasoned, uniformly shaped and extremely large and tasteful. I saw the chicken salad platter being made while standing in line but was quite disappointed when my tuna platter was handed to me. The only options are iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, onions, peppers; boring for a salad.

Roger J.

Yelp
Some of the best subs we've ever had. The rolls are excellent and the toppings make the sub. Subs are very generous for the price. And of course the show they point on while making them is fun.

Jeanine I.

Yelp
Best Hoagies outside of Philly! Your mouth will water upon entering into any one of their locations!

Clevis F.

Yelp
If you want a basic sub you'll be happy. No cucumbers or option to crisp. It's good to do 1 thing well but change is good too.

Linda P.

Yelp
We enjoyed the meatball grinder, Huge Italian grinders , with entertainment during the prep. The chicken salad salad was delicious too.

Monica A.

Yelp
Wow where to begin! They have GREAT hoagies here :) A "small" would be a large in other places. They slice the deli selections right there as people are ordering. Part of the appeal is to see the slicing employee "throw" the freshly sliced deli cuts to the person preparing your sammy. This place gets packed for lunch and take out, and with good reason! You'll get a good bang foe your buck. The "small" is good enough for two full meals for me, some people can finish them, but guaranteed you'll be as stuffed as the hoagie itself! A large is insanely huge, so if you order this one, in any of their meat combos, be prepared to share or be pass-out full They are worth every penny :)

Jack K.

Yelp
As I continue to eat sandwiches through life I like to share my thoughts. Laspada's is an unsuspecting banger! The sandwich menu is simple and pretty standard. But it's the quality of ingredients! Bread, meat and condiments are simple but delicious. With the flair on a meat blanket over the toppings to keep everything in together is a great touch. The service is a fast past fly flow. They have master the flair of making sandwiches. I recommend this spot if you are in the area and are looking for a solid quick bite.

Jay D.

Yelp
I can't help but return here time and again.. haha. When I'm craving a decent sandwich but not the long wait at a V&S Deli sub... this is the place! I have to hand it to them, for a quick sub it's really good.

Suzette R.

Yelp
Amazing subs! I don't need to say anymore. You just have to try it for yourself! I recommend the the Monster, Italian and Mama.

Lincoln S.

Yelp
Sandwiches are always top notch, and even though there's usually a pretty decent lunch line, they move with a sense of urgency so the line usually moves smoothly,

Alex S.

Yelp
What happens when an unstoppable force hits an immovable object? Well, it's happened a few times now in South Florida, and each time it does, an almost mythical sandwich shop named Laspada's emerges from its wake, feeding its customers with some of the most amazing hoagies ever created throughout mankind's long and storied history. It has been said that a Laspada's employee must train a minimum of six months at either The French Laundry or Per Se in order to work here, and when you watch these magicians in action, you would not be surprised in the slightest. Each hoagie is made with astonishing expertise. The ingredients? Fresh as monkey's breath, from the meat to the veggies (the sweet peppers especially are the star of the show). I've even witnessed a bread delivery where the deliverer demanded that the bread was used immediately. As far as what to order, you cannot go wrong. It's literally impossible due to the outstanding quality and preparation behind each sandwich. Two of my recommendations: the Italian and the Monster. The roast beef, in particular, on the Monster is simply extraordinary. I've heard many others rave about the tuna. Rave! And while you may come for the sandwich, stay for the show! These artisans toss meat around and across the counter like no one's ever seen. The entire experience is almost overwhelming, and when it all ends, you're left with a giant, beautiful sandwich made just for you with love, care, and tremendous passion. If you've gotten to this point in the review, you now know what to do: stop what you're doing immediately and get yourself to Laspada's for one of the best hoagies you'll ever have in your lifetime!

Ariel W.

Yelp
During my vacation I had a list of things I wanted to do and hitting LaSpada's for lunch was high on the list. The first LaSpada's Hoagies opened in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea in 1973. The sub shop was opened by John LaSpada Jr. whose family was in the sandwich business. His grandfather was famous for having opened his first hoagie shop in Atlantic City in the 1930's. In 1978, LaSpada sold the business to Harry and Gale Kappes ,who along with their son Phil, now operate 5 locations in Broward and one in Boca. I have so many fond memories of eating at LaSpadas through the years. They are the freshest subs around and they will customize it perfectly to your taste. LaSapada's is unique in that they throw the meat down the line, partly for theatrics and partly to move it faster. It was a practice started in the 1970's by a frustrated sandwich maker attempting to move the meat faster down the line. I never get tired of seeing the meat fly through the air and landing squarely on the bread. Another thing that makes LaSpadas special is the meat blanket, a second layer of meat that covers all of the toppings. I had the Italian sub but you can never go wrong with a Monster, a ham, turkey, roast beef combo. If you are trying to cut the carbs they also offer salad platters. In addition to a delicious sub you also get top notch service. Right now inside dining is closed due to Covid. I had no problem taking mine to go and having a lovely lunch in a nearby park. During my visit they had one person working whose job was solely to sanitize and clean. They take your safety seriously. As I was walking out I saw a police officer walking in. If you see the police eating here, you know it's good. LaSpada's is a favorite of local mayor's too. It is South Florida institution.

Mayo M.

Yelp
Had a fantastic sandwich here! Quick counter service with a casual eating area. Went with the Italian sandwich with peppers. It was a HUGE and delicious eat coast style sandwich - stuffed solid with fresh meats and cheeses and a soft baked Italian bread. This is a go to spot whenever we're in Lauderdale!

Mike R.

Yelp
Great sandwiches and the staff are super friendly. Although we went in the evening, I've need told I need to go during lunch time and watch them slice the meat fresh .
