I have been coming here since they opened a hundred years ago. I had to meet my brother who lives in N.E. Ft Lauderdale and he suggested we go there for lunch. An amazing operation where they have 5 people behind the counter in a production line making the food. I like the Italian sub which comes in a Small 8" or Large 12" on White or Wheat Bread. Ham, Genoa Salami, and Cappicola, choice of cheese plus all the fixings. Great

Delicious! I am a very picky sub eater and I was surprised how good this place was! I got a chicken salad sub and my husband got the Italian. We both got a small sub and it was ginormous!!!

Best sub ive ever had! Great flavor and portion size, I tried the Italian and really enjoyed it. Fed two of us for $13. Wish I came here more than once on my trip. Definitely will come back when in the area!

Can't wait to try this place again! Almost stopped by AGAIN to take a sandwich back home to Texas with me. Don't be shy when trying out their toppings, I feel like you can't go wrong!

This is my first time visiting Laspadas in Lauderdale by the Sea and it didn't disappoint. We split the large The Monster sandwich, so good. Everything was so fresh and the service was amazing. A must try!

The first LaSpada's Hoagies opened in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea in 1973. The sub shop was opened by John LaSpada Jr. whose family was in the sandwich business. His grandfather was famous for having opened his first hoagie shop in Atlantic City in the 1930's. In 1978, LaSpada sold the business to Harry and Gale Kappes ,who along with their son Phil, now operate 5 locations in Broward and one in Boca. The Lauderdale-by-the- Sea LaSpada's was moved from it's cramped store south of Commercial to this roomier location in 2013. I have so many fond memories of eating at LaSpadas through the years. They are the best subs around and they will customize it perfectly to your taste. LaSapada's is unique in that they throw the meat down the line, partly for theatrics and partly to move it faster. It was a practice started in the 1970's by a frustrated sandwich maker attempting to move the meat faster down the line. I never get tired of seeing the meat fly through the air and landing squarely on the bread. Another thing that makes LaSpadas special is the meat blanket, a second layer of meat that covers all of the toppings. If you are trying to cut the carbs they also offer salad platters. After having recently ordered the Italian at the Ft. Lauderdale store I was craving The Monster, a ham, turkey, roast beef combo.As soon as they handed me the sub I was in heaven. Their subs are huge, fresh, and loaded with meat and toppings. Make the experience even better by taking it down to the beach. When you are looking for an epic lunch, you can't go wrong with LaSpada's.

One of my favorite sub places in South Florida! The bread is nice and soft. The sweet peppers are delicious. Great customer service.

I Love Laspadas. We have been eating there since They were around the corner on Commercial Blvd. My kids love it, too. We always order the Monster sub. Best choice for us. Full of meats and flavors, never a bad choice.

My niece from Oregon prior to getting to our house has already preordered a hoagie. If you want a gigantic yummy delicious sandwich look no further. You'll never eat at another deli again ! Whatever you want you get. Service is entertaining while they slice and dice your order. There's always a line so I recommend calling in your order and picking it up. Otherwise you may be there for a while during your lunch break. Bread is baked on premises daily and the toppings are the best and most crisp in the biz. After placing your order they finish it off by adding ANOTHER layer of meat !! Never had a bad anything here. Try everything on the menu. You won't be disappointed!

Another place that has been on my Food Bucket List. Finally went and so worth it. Walked passed this sandwich shop many a time and the employees are always working. That's what grabbed my attention. Friendly employees great Hoagies and a totally laid back atmosphere. I ordered online choose a time for picked up and paid. That easy. I ordered the "Monster", (what could go wrong with a hoagie so affectionately name) to split with my wife. Very satisfying. We split half of a half piece. Got 2 meals out of it. Worth the money.

Great service and huge hoagies!! Super fresh meats sliced right in front of you. Great selection of fresh toppings. The Italian bread is bakery fresh and not overly overpowering to the rest of the sandwich. Several flavor selections of chips and drinks. Good value for the money!

Fast, delicious and efficient! Just like the deli's I visited growing up. What more could ya ask for? The staff is not only friendly, but the group of gentlemen working today appeared to have so much fun singing and laughing with each other while serving the guests. It was nice to see! Fresh, cut deli meats straight to the roll. Always a must visit when in Lauderdale.

Been going to coral springs and 17th street locations on an off for about 5 yrs. The fresh bread and fresh deli meats are amazing. Yes I wish they had bacon and I know they recently brought it to some locations. BUT for $1 dollar a strip it's a bit ridiculous. The price of the chicken salads compared to the size of contains are absurd. That's the two big things for me to not get 5 stars. The service at both locations always AMAZING.. Always tipping the service. Watching them throwing the meat is great!!

This is the best place to get subs or hoagies or whatever you call them. They are also the biggest ones you can get. They will cut them for you so you can share or save for another day and when you taste them you will want to have them another day too. Everything is delicious! They might seem a little pricey but not when you try them. They are worth every penny! Enjoy!

I love these subs they are amazing. The way the wrap it with the extra meat after putting the lettuce, onion, tomato, etc. The service is super fast and love the cozy place.

It's rare to find a place that has maintained the quality of their food for as long as this place has. The food tastes amazing and just as it has since I was a kid. Had a sub a few days ago and it brought me right back down memory lane. The staff is awesome too still throwing around the meats and super friendly.

Guys making sandwiches are not too friendly and don't expect a smile! I changed my order (within seconds of realizing the difference in the item I wanted) and the guy making the sandwich acted like he was mad. I apologized a few times, (more than once bc I thought he hadn't heard me), and he never even responded. Then he kept mumbling asking me what I wanted on my sandwich which made me have to say, "excuse me?", several times. Get the hint- SPEAK UPPP! Other workers around don't look at you either. Bunch of rude employees! Will not return. Don't need to be treated this way by anyone!! He should be grateful he has a job!

Laspada's in LTBS is the OG hoagie shop. I remember going off-campus in high school for a sub from Laspada's. For decades this place has been THE place to get a good grinder. They have been doing it right at Laspada's years before Mike from NJ or any other sub chain. Laspada's is local and they've always been about fresh sliced deli meat and cheese to order for each sub. I can remember going in their old location and watching the guys build subs right in front of the customer, slicing meat and tossing it across the length of the counter onto the waiting fresh-baked Italian bun. It was like sandwich performance art and it made tossing a pizza dough into the air look like child's play. With their new location, I can't say what the experience is like to order in person because I've ordered online for pickup at the restaurant. However, the most important part of the experience is the gustatory euphoria of biting into that OG Italian with sweet peppers, hot peppers, lettuce, tomato, onion, spice and oil and vinegar. It was just as incredible as it was back in '85. They still practice the "meat blanket" to tuck all that goodness inside the bun and keep it from spilling out when you eat the hoagie. This is why they live up to their motto "Best Damn Hoagie in town"!

Laspada's is a fast-paced deli that serves up great tasting hoagies. In addition to getting a sandwich made to your liking you'll also get a show while moving down the food line. Meats are sliced for each individual sandwich, piled on the hoagie roll and topped with your choice of veggies, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar and oregano. This little spot was full of employees with amazing energy who provided excellent customer service. I'm not sure how they kept up with all the customers but their system worked and they moved a line full of people through very quickly. We ordered an Italian sandwich which comes with ham, Genoa salami, cappicola and provolone. This is a delicious combination of meat, cheese and veggies all served on a soft hoagie roll. We also had a ham, turkey and cheese hoagie which had a hearty helping of meat. The sweet tea was ice cold and refreshing. If you're looking for a tasty sandwich come check out Laspada's!

The subs are consistently good every time we visit. Fast and easy parking as well. Ordering ahead is a breeze.

The real deal! Living in St Petersburg now so coming "home" for a LaSpada's Monster is an incredible treat. The Best hoagies I've ever had! Phresh Philly rolls and attention to each fresh sliced creation make these sandwiches each a masterpiece. Superlatives fail to express how great this place truly is. Well, well...how do I even begin this review. I'm from Chicago so I know good Italian subs...but it's like I've been dead inside...all this time...UNTIL I started eating a Laspada's hoagie. It is THE BEST ITALIAN SANDWICH OF ALL TIME. I have been eating at this Laspada's for over 20 years and it hits EVERY. TIME. Their chicken and tuna salad is great as well. I love this place. My fiancé and I dream about this sandwich at night. It can be pretty crowded but for good reason. Sometimes the online ordering isn't working, but to be honest I could care less. Honestly the power could be out and it be all pitch black but as long as I get my food I could care less. All worth it for the best Italian hoagie of all time!!!!

Having been here multiple times now I can confidently say they are one of the best sandwich shops in the area. Bread is always fresh, prices are reasonable and service is always excellent. You simply cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, the italian and the meatball are at the top of my list.

These are the best sub/hoagie/grinder/Hero/Blimpie/po'Boy/torpedo sandwiches in the Broward county area IMO! Made fresh to order and the meat is also cut like a deli meat section for your sandwich.. Doesn't get fresher than this. Originally hailing from Chester, PA, this successful sub chain is starting to spread all over South Florida. And it's no big surprise, this places subs are the bomb. They have a ridiculous amount of meat on them, and the wrap the toppings under the meat so the don't fall off. Pretty cool. The subs come with everything on them.. You just take off what you don't like. I get the Monster, which is ham, turkey and roast beef with all the toppings as well as Mayo and pull and vinegar. Will try the Italian next, can't wait. I drive out of my way to go here. Yum.

Best hoagies Most definitely. The meat is sliced for your order. Thin and delicious. Bread is soft and fresh-made daily. Fixings fresh. I liked the taste of the mayo. I didn't like the mac salad or potato salad. Not flavorful at all.

Best service and subs ever!! More than 25 years of subs worth the drive! When your gastroenterologist agrees and says he's eaten 21/2 subs you realize the fan base!

Incredible subs! I've never been so full on half of a half sub before. They are HUGE AND DELICIOUS Yes, I ate the rest and can not wait to go again. Watched them make up some salads as well and am looking forward to ordering them next too. Alittle pricey, but it's worth it!!

Well well well... look what we have here. If it isn't the best sandwich shop in broward! This place has it all, great staff, people throwing sandwich meat at each other and the best bread in South Florida. I was recommended by coworkers and brushed them off. The joke was on me the whole time. I ordered the Italian sandwich and bit into heaven!!!!! The bread melts in your mouth and the flavor explodes like the 4th of July! Highly highly recommend! Considered arguably the best hoagie sub shop in Ft Lauderdale and for me they are! They've been a S Fl staple where they started in Lauderdale by the Sea off Sea Grape Drive. They moved to their current location several years ago and it's a much bigger place with more room. You can basically pick any sun and it will be fantastic! The way they slice the meats, throw it down on the hoagie from several feet away is impressive, especially when they're jam packed busy during lunch. I normally get their famous monster sun which comes with roast beef, Turkey, and ham along with all the toppings. Great place for the locals and it's always a hit for the ppl that visit from out of town

I'm typing this as I just finished eating my sandwich. I'm 6 months pregnant and all I've been eating is Deli sandwiches. This is literally the best I've ever had. Being from Indiana, this makes me sad I won't have it close by for the duration of my pregnancy. 200/10. I can't wait to come back. Thank you for making my day lol

Literally any other Laspadas location is better. Everytime I go here I feel like I might get sexually assaulted by one of the creepy male employees, but my last visit was too much. The owner needs to give his crew a lesson on how to treat women in a way that doesn't make them completely uncomfortable. Multiple men at this location staring at my body overtly and making gestures toward one another to "check me out" that weren't at all low key. Made me feel super awkward. Apart from that issue- they also cop attitude if you need anything specific or anything omitted from your sandwich. I asked for "everything but pickles" and then asked them to omit oil at the end and the guy was overly excited to correct me by repeating the phrase "so everything EXCEPT PICKLES AND OIL"?!! It was super weird and not a joke you could tell the guy was in a bad mood. It's unfortunate that people employed by a chain with such a solid following would find it ok to be generally rude to people. It's obvious management makes them feel it's ok to behave that way. Won't be returning to this location.

simply THE BEST hoagie in South Florida or anywhere in the US!!! I've been coming here literally since high school I always loved the original location on sea grape drive the best the long winding line... the excited energy about the place the anticipation of waiting for your incredible sandwich to be made before your eyes knowing that in just a few minutes - you're going to be devouring that deliciousness on the beautiful sandy beach just a few blocks away!!! they have moved to a new location on commercial blvd now - but it's still close to sea grape drive LASPADAS literally NEVER disappoints and is always phenomenally delicious and consistent!!! quality ingredients = excellent product my favorites: the ITALIAN the MONSTER zapps VOODOO chips I'm literally salivating right now thinking about it...LOL might have to go again tomorrow #YUM also - I especially appreciate the amazing very friendly service and good attitudes at this location!

Always a good sub here, can't beat them for that NJ type of sub experience. I had been to other locations, but this one seems to be older and likely the original. Love the Italians here and the turkey and provolone.

Visiting from CA, and as a foodie at heart i'm always excited to try new food places as I travel. Came across Laspada's because my boyfriend grew up in Fort Lauderdale and ate it growing up, have to say I was blown away by this sandwich. The staff was great, and the sandwich was truly amazing. Fresh, Huge Portions, High quality. Foodie approved go try this place if you are in FL!!!!!

Decent food, but way pricey 35 bucks for a sub a drink and salad Just asinine for a lunch Got a parking ticket and was only in and out another 30 bucks I went once before and probably will never go again I can go to Outback for less money I feel like opening a sub shop next door just to show that having 20 dollar subs isn't necessary I wonder if they take care of the employees

Good sandwiches, terrible service/wait time. Visiting from out of town and have been dying to get a sub from here. I used to be a regular patron of the University Blvd location. I put an online order in at 11:50am and estimated pickup was for 12:05pm. Waited until around 12:30pm for the order of 3 sandwiches to be ready. These hoagies aren't cheap. If I knew it would have taken so long, I wouldn't have ordered.

Good Food, not the best on customer service, it feels more like a mechanic shop, or steering cattle than a restaurant...meaning there are no smiling faces and their tone of voice are so robotic, monotone, etc...sometimes you get a Thank You from them and sometimes you don't. I only go if people are visiting and they bring this location up, otherwise I can take it or leave it. (Customer service is key for me)..
