Great food and service. Lighting is a bit dark. It's hard to read the menu but most people order the steak anyway. Shrimps were very fresh too. Dessert was wonderful.

Always a good experience here. Nice quiet ambiance. The steak frites are the only thing I've ever gotten but it's done sous vide so the meat is always perfectly tender and the sauce and fries are great. If you order the full portion just know they will only serve half at first and then when your plate looks empty they will top it off with the rest of your steak and fresh fries. I wish they had a better beer selection but most people order wine and that list looks pretty solid.

Food was SUPERB! Wine was absolutely excellent. Ordered signature steak dish with goose fat potatoes and cheesecake for dessert. Paid a couple hundred for two steaks, dessert and lots of wine. Waiter was attentive and professional. Had the most romantic dinner here and would definitely go back!

Fantastic food! I took the steak and fries, and the truffle mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. The owner was great, and the service was very nice. The environment is comfortable, and not too loud. I would definitely go again.

Made reservations for 10pm on a Saturday. It was pretty busy, but the place is small. The menu is simple: choose a starter (soup or salad) and a main that comes with fries and a protein (steak, mushroom, salmon, or chicken). I ordered the soup and steak. While we waited, we were given warm bread and water. The soup was really good. The steak is cooked sous-vide with a gravy on top. You get your first plate of steak and fries, and then the server gives you your second serving when you're done. The steak was just okay. My boyfriend and I both ordered our steaks medium, but his came out more medium-rare and mine was medium-well. The fries were good. We ordered the profiteroles for dessert. About 10-15 minutes after we ordered, the waiter came up to us and told us the profiteroles take 12 minutes to prepare... I think he forgot to put our order in, so we waited another ten minutes for dessert. The profiteroles were small and the ice cream had basically all melted by the time we got them. I don't think we'll be returning.

The steak was one of the best I have ever head! The prices were really fair! Also the quality of the meat was good. Typical American restaurant. The staff was really nice and you could go there and only drink something, because its like half a bar.

We will not visit again. Good French style steak and fries. Soup was excellent and salad had good ingredients but way too much vinegar. Menu is limited to steak frite and whatever the daily special is. Decent beer and wine selection. Tables are so close to each other that it is borderline uncomfortable due to a lack of privacy in conversation. Our waitress was nice but abandoned us in the last 20 minutes where I left my credit card on the table for her to see but she never stopped to check on us. Finally the host was nice enough to ask if we would like a check.

A rare gem hidden on Melrose Blvd. They have the best steak and fries I've had in LA. Nice atmosphere inside, reasonable prices for great food, and such attentive staff. They have a pretty minimal selection on their menu for what you would think of as a restaurant in LA ..... but that is because well if you can do something perfectly why do you need to do more than that ! They started with literally just steak and fries with their amazing sauce (which I think is what made this dish so addicting), so A tip- always ask for extra sauce on the side! They'll give you a small gravy bowl full to drown your fries and the softest meat in the world in, and you'll likely sigh in pleasure. Now they have added a couple of appetizers, a fish option, a chicken option, and another one I can't recall ..... along with a few desserts. All of their food is superb but to me, their first and only dish of steak frites (fries) are impossible to beat. As well as their service. We've gone there for our anniversary, for dates, and just because we wanted the softest steak and incredible house secret sauce so bad.....and have yet to meet one single less than perfect waiter or host, it's amazing.
