The 19 Best Bars in San Francisco

"This entryway bar inside the Foreign Cinema keeps the Bohemian spirit alive with movie posters celebrating Eastern European film and Cinema Verite, along with vinyl DJs performing most nights, and mezzanine-level booths give imbibers a bird’s-eye view of this cultured cocktail bar. The cocktails come with cinematic names (Sunset Boulevard, All About Eve, Pink Flamingoes) and a plentiful spirits menu keeps partygoers going while $4 Tecates remind us we’re still in the Mission. Laszlo shares Foreign Cinema’s dinner menu, along with oysters on the half shell. International fare like Iberico pork chicharrones with harissa and lime make for the perfect finger food." - Jenna Scatena

14 San Francisco Bars and Restaurants That Serve Great Non-Alcoholic Cocktails | Eater SF

"This darkly-lit, sexy Foreign Cinema accompaniment has a rotating menu that, currently, has four nonalcoholic cocktails. One option is the Closer to the Sun, made of Lyre’s boozeless spirits, Italian cranberry cordial, lemon and grape juices, and a handful of other decadent ingredients. The mellow bar turns up here and there with its stocked calendar of weekly events; drop by on a Tuesday for vinyl listening or Wednesday for trivia." - Camper English

20 Best Bars with Frozen Cocktails to Cool Off With in San Francisco | Eater SF

"Foreign Cinema’s sister bar Laszlo, located next door, has been known to sling a frozen cocktail or two, including more spirit-forward options than are typical like a frozen negroni. The menu is freshened up frequently, so stop in to check for the latest frozen concoction." - Dianne de Guzman

How Foreign Cinema Became an Iconic Restaurant and Arts Enclave - Eater SF

"Next door to the right, sister bar Laszlo had already opened in 2000. Maxed out on budget, it started as a real dive, but in 2016 Clark and Pirie went back to the original architecture plans, putting in dark trim, mirrors, and leather snugs." - Becky Duffett

cute bar attached to foreign cinema continuing with the movie theme. great ambiance for a date or to catch up with friends. drinks were solid, especially fade into you. fade into you: loved this old fashioned riff with heavy chocolate notes!

Update: I love the place but the staff are not caring... they clean the table and take the drinks without asking. It was so unprofessional, and they didn't even care to apologize. It is a nice bar with some amazing drink. They have 2 floors seating and they offer some of the foreign cinema menu. However, it is a very light menu. It is an awesome bar next to foreign cinema restaurant.

Google
Great atmosphere, fantastic cocktails and they offer the Foreign Cinema menu. The servers checked on us regularly enough and with the small inconvenience of ordering at the bar we got incredible food, nice seats and a wide range of drinks. Would recommend this place if you are going out for drinks and are not sure where the night is taking you - stay for the food! ;)

While a cool trendy spot, I ended up paying $27 each (inclusive tax and tip) for just a simple Tito’s martini. Nothing fancy, one dry, one dirty. If you’re popping in for a quick pre-movie drink, you’re better off getting the Modelo for 5 bucks or head somewhere else. And to those that think “oh that’s just San Francisco”, $27 for a simple martini is not normal in the city (or NY, or London, or any other major metropolis)

The overall experience was kind of "meh". The bartenders were super nice but one seemed to be distracted. There were also problems with the food that we ordered. First we were given the wrong order, then after waiting more than 30 minutes for our actual order we discovered that our order was never put in. I understand that sometimes people have a bad day/night so I would give them another try if I'm in the area and looking for cocktails. I don't think I'd try the appetizers again as they weren't that appealing. The best part of the evening was the music. I gave my Shazam a workout, lol. *Full disclosure: this is a late review as we went a few months ago. I'm just taking the time now to update my Google.

After having dinner at Lolinda a few doors down, our party ended up here for a toot, or so I thought... ATMOSPHERE: The tight quarters make up the small bar that is connected and related to the Foreign Cinema restaurant. The first level sports bar and high top seating, with a few more tables on a loft above. A DJ was spinning a mix of genres while a muted 80's movie was being projected on the bar's wall. Conversation level was manageable. MENU: Full bar, no food. BEVERAGE: T.W. Pitchers' Radler I took my chances on this which was a sweet grapefruit/blood orange-flavored beer. Meh. Tecate Having had this in Puerto Vallarta, I stuck to this light but still good budget brew. No hangover the next day. SERVICE: Joyce was the friendly and fast bartender on duty. OVERALL: Nice watering hole, fair pricing. We finally called it a night three rounds later!

The first time my partner and I came here, we had a great time. The drinks were expensive but good, and The Outsiders was playing, which was cool. Needless to say, we left with a good impression. Recently, we decided to go back since we had enjoyed our first visit and had an hour to kill before a dinner reservation. However, this experience was completely different. We weren’t greeted or given menus, so we grabbed one ourselves. When we kindly asked the bartender about quick bites, instead of explaining, he aggressively knocked on the wall to indicate something—which we didn’t understand. It wasn’t until I got up to check that I noticed a small sign with a drawing of fries crossed out. Before I got up to check, in a rude tone, he said, “You guys are hungry? There are a bunch of places nearby.” Right. We know. We understand that food questions might get repetitive or be a common annoyance, and maybe this was just his personality, but the way it was handled left us feeling unwelcome. It stuck with us for the rest of the day. As a server/bartender, whether you like it or not, you set the atmosphere. Unfortunately, this time, the vibe wasn’t great. Also, there were a few cigarettes on the floor.

A friend took me to laszlo on a Saturday late noon for good cocktails and nibbles. The spicy margaritas are savage! Oysters were very fresh. Great atmosphere too! I’ll defo be back :)

Yelp
Lively bar, part of Foreign Cinema and right next door! Was very busy and loud on a Friday night. Very friendly bartenders and the drink I got (a hemp spirit one, non alcoholic) was very good!! It honestly tasted like juice. Drinks are very affordable by SF standards, which was a pleasant surprise. They show movies inside which is very on par with the Foreign Cinema vibe. Lower floor is a DJ, upper floor is more quiet if you want a quieter space for conversation.

Yelp
Great Bartenders. Got a drink not on the menu (supposedly it's supposed to go on the menu next week) - mezcal + lychee. Perf amount of Smokey and sweet. Also had the oysters which were surprisingly good!

Yelp
$2 Oysters ALL night! I've been there with "Happy Hour" oysters with a not so happy ending. These aren't sus ones that come with a complimentary detox. They come from Foreign Cinema's kitchen (sister resto in same building). Oysters at Foreign Cinema are $4-$4.50 each so this is an awesome deal. I could have sworn I wrote a review for Laszlo over a decade ago but guess not. (+) $2 Oysters ALL night (chef's choice): http://tinyurl.com/4xh4364c They're properly shucked and fresh, served with a shallot mignonette and lemon wedges. (+) Foreign Cinema's full food menu available - ideal if you can't get last minute rezzies. (+) Good selection of spirits - Fortaleza on deck! (+) Gayle, the owner/chef from Foreign Cinema is hospitality and customer service driven. She came outside to make sure we weren't too cold and kindly offered to move us inside. We choose to stay outside but just the offer itself meant a lot. (+) DJ spinning on Thursday-Sunday + movies projected on the wall. (+) Multiple seating area - indoors: bar, booths, and loft area (intimate date night vibes) + outdoor (two tables). (+) Dog-friendly (outdoors). (+) Parking is always an issue but the Mission-Bartlett Garage is right in back (enter on 21st street). (-) Wrong orders and/or missing food orders. For example, I asked for a spirit shaken but received a cocktail with vermouth instead. Also, the times we ordered food, an item is missing. We noticed it happen to others as well. (-) No itemized bill provided. On our most recent visit, the total seemed high. When I asked for an itemized bill, I found we were double charged for a drink. They were apologetic and quickly resolved the issue. Def ask for an itemized bill BEFORE paying! Overall, Laszlo's remain a pretty solid bar to hit up if you're bar hopping in The Mission. Or, if you're looking for solid $2 Oysters ALL night!

Yelp
A new favorite spot for me! $2 oysters and a fancy cocktail? Perfection. The oysters are tiny but fresh. The slushee is delicious. Some of the cocktails are overly sweet just as an FYI. There is a movie playing on a projector for vibes! And a DJ playing music (at least on weekends). The entire Foreign Cinema menu is accessible from here. If paying those prices I'd rather sit in the main restaurant to be honest. But nice to be able to order the appetizers at least.

Yelp
Overall a solid spot by Foreign Cinema, complete with the same vibey interior. I especially love the split floors and the DJ, which put this place a lick above a lot of the other cocktail bars in the area. We got the peaches and gryphon cocktails. They were good, but I've had better -- they were a little off balance. I did appreciate the attention to detail and high quality booze options they had, though. The bartenders were nice, but even though the place was at 40% capacity, it was impossible to get their attention. My friend and I stood at the bar for 15 mins before someone came over and offered to make us drinks. I'd come back, but it wouldn't be my first choice.
google avatar

Yelp
I will start with positive things: chicken was flavorful and tender. That's about it. We sat at the bar. The bartender really couldn't care enough to even take our orders. I told him I would like the chicken and he turned around to enter the order into the system without taking my partner's order. It would be another 5 minutes before he came back and took his order. I don't want to say he is high or on something but he behaved very suspiciously. My partner ordered the risotto which came out in less than 5 minutes. It was the worst rice dish I had in my life. The rice was undercooked, there was little favor. It's like a plate of white rice with a few peas and arugula floating in it. Service was minimal, food was overpriced, ambience, what ambience? It's a joke and an insult to dine there. Will not return!

Yelp
What a class act!! I saw something suspicious with the bill and found that one drink wasn't the happy hour price. The management corrected the error and more. This is definitely becoming a regular spot.
google avatar

Suzie A.

Yelp
Amazing cocktails, chill ambiance, excellent service. I'm a little reluctant to share a review of this place because I don't want it to get overcrowded! But the craft cocktails are delicious, the service is very warm, and the ambiance is very welcoming (though it gets loud as the night goes on). The Gimme Shelter and Family Affair are standouts. The bathroom is connected to Foreign Cinema, do not go upstairs!
google avatar

Tyler F.

Yelp
I hate leaving bad reviews but the bartenders are extremely rude and the service is beyond slow. No one at the bar and was ignored for over 20 minutes. Love foreign cinema but this was pretty disappointing.

Alex W.

Yelp
Ordered a Roy rogers (NA, cola and cherry grenadine) while on a date. The bartender didn't have cherry grenadine and asked if strawberry was ok, yea sure I don't care, pours a can of coke in a glass and gives it a splash of strawberry grenadine. I ask how much. "Ten bucks" What the hell? For a splash of sugar syrup and a can of coke?! Piss off. Won't be coming back.

Yelp
Charming place for happy hour or just to grab a couple of drinks with friends! The interior is beautiful, and perfectly matches the aesthetic of its neighbors Foreign Cinema, and even the Alamo Drafthouse with the beautiful old fashioned movie posters decorating the walls. We sat in an upstairs booth which was private but still gave us a beautiful view into the bottom floor of the bar. The cocktails were delicious, and I also took the opportunity to order many of their $2 oysters (yes, that's the price of them all day!) which were incredibly delicious for discount oysters. For a Sunday night, there was a good amount of people, but it wasn't too crowded. The only thing I would say is that the DJ for that night was so loud. We went up to the second floor of the restaurant to escape it, but it was still hard to talk to each other.
google avatar

Amber M.

Yelp
Such a great spot! We walked in on a friday night and there was lots of open tables. We were pretty surprised since this is Foreign Cinema's sister bar! You can order from the full menu of Foreign Cinema and they also play movies. The interior is gorgeous, they have seating downstairs and also upstairs. The drinks were interesting and I thought most of my drinks were ok, but really liked the ones my boyfriend got. Just wished they had a bit more whiskey family options! They have lots of tequila and mezcal cocktails. Perfect place to lounge at with some drinks and dinner or snacks. If you can't get a reservation at Foreign Cinema, this is a great place to drop by without a reservation. Cant wait to come back!
google avatar

Christi S.

Yelp
Shout out to Chris who made our night so fun with the best drinks, conversation and just all around great energy!!! We had all the drinks, mostly aperol spritzzz and a full dinner from foreign cinema! Will definitely be back as this is a favorite gem

Yelp
I am so mad that I ate a Tijuana dog before I got here, I wanted to go to this place for a while now it looked at a little intimidating on the outside but that day it was Carnival and I decided to go. The vibe inside I really enjoyed it was peaceful. I was nervous at first but the staff was really helpful, I wanted something light so I ordered a couple of drinks and the cheeseboard. The first drink was called is it love and I enjoyed it and then I had another one called something of lust. And have a cheeseboard I'm not a bougie person, and this is close to the boogie side for me but I really enjoyed everything on that plate. Eating that cheese board and having those drinks watching the parade go by was something that I truly will never forget. The people the customers chill. I am planning to go back to try out their menu their full menu, it's some thing that I want to explore
google avatar

Kaishna M.

Yelp
$22 for this... I mean I love Laslo "is this love" cocktail and I come back again and again for that particular drink (would highly recommend it) but today I ventured and order the cheeseboard that looked more like leftovers from another table even airplane food is served better‍ Drinks YES, food ummm I don't think so.

Yelp
Oh Laszlo, you're CUTE cute! FINE fine! Ambience like whoooaaa and vibes like fiyaaaah. And, I'm diggin' it. Stopped here with a few friends last year after having brunch at Foreign Cinema next door. The atmosphere is waaay more chill here when compared to Foreign Cinema. No bougie-ness, just a cozy, dimly lit cocktail lounge with a low key vibe. Wouldn't necessarily recommend this spot for large parties since they don't have enough space to accommodate for it, but small to moderate sized groups will do. We had a group of about 8 and were able to squeeze into a few tables that were pushed next to each other. Just remember; this is a San Francisco institution. Which means that them drinks ain't cheap by any means. But actually, the drinks here were pretty creative. Definitely more on the craft cocktail end than anything else. The only thing that I wasn't too fond of when it came to the drinks was that they use too much ice and not enough drink. Nothing really stood about the drinks that we had either, but it's a nice spot to chill and kick it with friends whilst slurping down some pretty lookin' cocktails. They also have a dope little happy hour during the week, and a $2 daily oyster special in the evenings. Talk about deals! I loves me some good deals! I would totally come back here to chill with friends over discounted oysters and happy hour drinks in the future. I enjoyed this place 10 times better than Foreign Cinema for sure.

Jack I.

Yelp
Bartender was so drunk I could hardly understand him. He made me a spicy margarita but I think he forgot to add booze. Saw him taking shots with some other patrons that I'm sure had a better time than me. If I go back I'll be getting bottled beer.
google avatar

Tim C.

Yelp
Gets busy at times. Drinks are not bad, crowded on weekends, and good for dates. Has a second floor which is a bit more intimate. Looks like they serve food as well.
google avatar

Tilly D.

Yelp
Love this place so much. The bartenders Chris and Parker are the best, and cocktails are never a disappointment. You can have food from foreign cinema in the bar. The DJ's are great when they have them, and there's also a trivia night on Wednesdays. Can't go wrong with a night at laszlo's!

Marie G.

Yelp
Friend and I went to check it out. We both got the same drink, both liked it just don't know if we would get it again. But presentation and taste of coconut kinda like a pina colada or an horchata ? Haha
google avatar

Ranee W.

Yelp
Comfortable little bar. Came here for a tech event, staff were super friendly. Bartender took the effort to experiment and make different drinks, I loved the whiskey sour and creamsicle drink.
google avatar

Linh-Chi T.

Yelp
I came here on a Friday night with some friends for a birthday. One of the servers was really sweet and showed me a secret pop up museum. The ambiance was nice and they were playing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in the background of all things. The drinks were all really delicious but also strong. The "Like a Virgin" was mojito-esque which was right up my alley. I got an order of the chicharonnes which were very okay. The Harissa spice added the spice flavor but there wasn't enough salt so the chicharrones were on the blander side. We also got oysters for the table, at $2 each. They were diverse in size but ran on the much smaller end, with the smallest being about the size of a quarter, and the largest being about twice it's size. They were on the saltier side (as opposed to sweet). I would definitely come back as they also serve Foreign Cinema's menu and everything looked so delicious. I saw a group at the bar eating seared scallops which looked AMAZING.
google avatar

Marcello T.

Yelp
Laszlo is just next to Foreign Cinema and you can order some food that is made by the same kitchen so you know it is going to be good. I recommend to go upstairs to have some peace and space, especially if you are with your +1 or a group of friends. Unfortunately they don't serve the tables for orders (but will bring you the food at least) and that is a pain in the ass since someone will have to go downstairs to order. My bartender was super nice one day I went early but for the Halloween weekend he was kinda pissy. Still I put up with that since cocktails here are really good, some of the best in the city in my opinion!

Lana R.

Yelp
Perfected ambiance, live dj, projected films, fair priced drinks for the city. The second floor is so intimate and a great place for drinks after dinner or to have dinner. Overall 10/10 and I can't express how much of a fan I am. Will be returning!!!
google avatar

Jocelyn C.

Yelp
Surprised about this place. If you go to the Mission, you know that place is crazy/busy. As soon as you walk into this bar, you feel like you're not even in the Mission. This place is classy! I was here one evening promoting an event, and bartenders are pretty cool. They serve homemade chips from next-door's restaurant, and popcorn. Nice snack while drinking. They have an upstairs, with nice space too. They have booths, and tables/bar stools. If you ask me, this is the type of bar I would hang out at, especially the size of it is pretty decent. Not too big, not too small.

Yelp
We had dinner close by and decided to check out Laszlo afterwards. My group of four stopped by on Friday, December 15th around 11:15pm. We started by ordering drinks at the bar. We moved upstairs after we got our drinks and found a table in the corner by the window. It wasn't too busy this night, so not hard to find seating. *Selena por vida: tapatio tequila, fresh orange juice, aperol fresh lime, jalapeno, basil, spiced rum ($12) *It's a wonderful life: rittenhouse rye, fleur de sel fresh lemon, small hands passionfruit syrup ($12) x2 *Pink flamingoes: lo-fi gentian amaro, fresh grapefruit juice, served with seltzer, fresh herbs & citrus ($12) I got the rye cocktail which ended up being a bit too sweet for me. (They only had four cocktails on the menu and this was the only one with dark.) I tried the other two and they were a little more refreshing. Especially the pink flamingo. I'm not big on tequila, but the jalapeno in the Selena gave it a good kick. Nice stop for one drink. I just wish their cocktail menu was bigger. Apparently they have slushees which always appeals to the kid in me. And happy hour Monday to Thursday, 4pm to 6pm with $7 cocktails. I may be back just to try that.

Yelp
Great cocktails and reasonable food options but expensive depending on your expectations. Loved the music but trivia got cancelled the night I came. Will need to return for sure
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Best part of Laszlo is that they offer the menu from foreign cinema without the wait! Perfect if you are a couple or a small group. Groups bigger than 4 might find it tough to eat dinner as the tables are small. Drinks are good. Service is okZ
google avatar

Mike R.

Yelp
Love the indoor/outdoor options. Nice drink menu. Service slightly disappointing. Was fairly busy; however was ignored and whenever we did get the attention of the server the attitude was subpar and not very welcoming.

S B.

Yelp
We dropped into Laszlo after having dinner at Foreign Cinema tonight. We ordered a drink, and upon getting the bill saw that we had been charged twice the price advertised on the menu. We told the bartender about the issue, and he told us "you should have known it's an expensive liquor. The menu is just a template." Not sure what that's supposed to mean.... But did not appreciate the bartender's condescending attitude. Would recommend asking the price of every drink before ordering it...

R L.

Yelp
Wish they'd answer the phone once in a freakin while... and/or not hang up immediately after they do... or put you on hold for 15 minutes until you gang up yourself. Besides the aforementioned, they'd be a great local establishment. Delicious cocktails, cool ambiance, tasty snacks. Even though I'm a lick away it's unfortunately a bit too pricey for me to be a regular (I'm not in tech).
google avatar

Alana Z.

Yelp
You can order food from Foreign Cinema to this bar! I ordered a bloody mary and it was perfection. I was surprised because when I actually sat down at Foreign Cinema and ordered a bloody mary, I was super disappointed. So I guess moral of the story, get your bloody from this bar and order another one from them before you head over to the restaurant.
google avatar

Tiffany Y.

Yelp
We came here since we were waiting for a table at foreign cinema. Theres seating upstairs which is great because the bar gets full quickly. I ordered a rum passionfruit cocktail and tried some of the flamingo. The rum passionfruit cocktail was delicious!!! Super sweet and fruity. They have the most fuking amazing chips here. They are delicious, and have some kind of egg white powder on top. Im coming here again just for the chips.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place for day drinking. Strolling along Mission District to see what it's about I found this place. Drinks are delicious! I, of course, had to order "Selena Por Vida" which is an incredible tasting drink! I was there on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. Really nice place to just chill. They have outdoor seating, which is nice to people watch as you drink and appreciate this interesting neighborhood. It totally reminded of LA, in Echo Park and LA Arts District area. I can't say much about food, or the night scene because I just came by for one drink since I was bar hopping. It was nice to see a drink named after Selena. I would order it again and again. I really enjoyed chilling here.

Yelp
I was on the wagon so no cocktails for this gal, but I can say that both my companions raved about the black Manhattan. 4 stars for the free flowing awesome popcorn and delish chips!
google avatar

Nandita B.

Yelp
Let's start with the good - decent service, nice bar. Onto the disappointment- Ordered a bunch of cocktails on a Saturday but all the cocktails were poorly made. Got 4 different cocktails made of whiskey, gin, rum and tequila. All were "eh". The whiskey one was sooo sweet and the gin one was too sour. And on top of that they were $13 each! What a rip off! Don't waste your money or time here.

Yelp
PROS: They serve the same menu as Foreign Cinema. Same food, no wait (none between noon and 2pm on a Sunday). Free donuts up front. CONS: They pretty much cancel out not having a wait by having terribly slow service. They're set up to be a bar and don't seem to know how to handle having dining customers. We sat at a table where a big group had just finished brunch, but somehow the bartenders/servers didn't notice that we weren't the same people who'd been there earlier. They didn't clean off the table for 20-30 minutes because they thought we'd just finished our meal. Even after finally cleaning off the table (due to some prodding from me), they just didn't seem to want to serve us food. We waited maybe a total of 1 hour, and by that time Foreign Cinema texted us that a table was open. Even when my boyfriend went up to the bar at one point to order drinks, he was ignored for a good 15 minutes. They weren't that crowded, but were either understaffed or very uncommunicative as a staff. Here are the drinks we tried: * Pample Pimms (Pimm's, Giffard Pamplemousse, grapefruit, ginger ale. $12) - 3.5 stars Ginger ale was the dominant flavor. This was light and tasty, but I wished the grapefruit flavor was more prominent. * Annapolis (Mt Gay XO, Babtiste, lime juice, grapefruit juice, honey syrup & seltzer. $12) Light in flavor and refreshing; I wanted there to be more lime and grapefruit flavors.

S J.

Yelp
This restaurant has awful service. My boyfriend and I walked in at ~8:30 and showed our vax card and ids since we wanted to be served for dinner. After grabbing a table upstairs, nobody came to give us menus or take our order so my boyfriend went down to the bar to place an order, however the bartenders said that our waitress would be with us shortly. After 10-15 minutes, it was clear that this was not happening, so my boyfriend went down to the bar to place an order. The bartenders gave him a lot of attitude, acted like they were doing him a favor and reluctantly took his order and give him place settings. Five minutes later at 9 pm, our waitress shows up and tells us that the kitchen is closed and offers us popcorn. Who eats popcorn for dinner? My boyfriend actually got the order in before 9 pm, this rude establishment didn't want to serve us. My boyfriend and I walked to Beretta where the service was much better and they were able to serve us dinner. Wish they told us when we talked in that they wouldn't be serving us dinner -- would have saved 30+ minutes.

The food and the atmosphere was great! Couldn't expect more! The server helped me with a suggestion and loved it! Definitely coming back!!

Yelp
It's a nice little spot but the drinks(tequila) are way overpriced. $18 for a shot of Espolon Anejo. That's just plain gouging. It's a $28-30 bottle of tequila, definitely not considered a premium tequila, and it goes for $18/shot at Lazlo. That's b.s.

Yelp
We came for drag queen bingo. If you've never been, it's very aptly named: a drag queen is calling bingo. And it's fun. Especially if you bring a large crowd of your closest friends/co-workers and drink all the rosé they have in the house. Laszlo also has efficient bartenders, strong cocktails, plenty of beer, and a low-key vibe that's good for a quiet drink or a rowdy, drag queen bingo evening. I imagine it's less fun if you're sitting in the bar with your laptop, quietly playing bingo, and a large crowd of obnoxious co-workers invades the bar and drinks abnormal amounts of rosé in your personal space. But that guy chose to come to drag queen bingo.

Yelp
If you're looking to eat Foreign Cinema food without the wait - GO HERE! If you're looking for craft cocktails AND Foreign Cinema food without the wait - GO HERE! Laszlo has just undergone a remodel - get cozy in the new booths upstairs or enjoy the downstairs and watch the vinyl DJ play. Yes, there are some new bartenders but the old homies are still around too! Perks: A movie plays on the wall, just like nextdoor! Healthy mix of guest DJ's/Genre's Geniusly handcrafted cocktails + brunch (Weekends only)

Yelp
Came in here for a drink only, however I enjoyed the vibe. Bartenders were friendly, and knowledgeable. I have yet to explore the food menu, and they also have brunch options as well. I can't completely rate it yet, so stay tuned! Can't wait to try the restaurant portion of this place

Yelp
Came here with coworkers for Drag Queen Bingo... see other reviews. We pretty much took over the upstairs section of the bar and joined in on the bingo bender. I love that they use the old school red-plastic-slide bingo cards instead of the paper and blotters. It makes it easy to jump in whenever you want and you don't feel committed to bingo for the rest of the evening. The staff was friendly and didn't seem bothered by our fairly large group busting in on bingo night. I had a few old fashioned's and they were great... otherwise I didn't really interact with the staff much... no complaints. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to win a round of bingo which resulted in the option to get a bottle of rosé to go or for here. I obviously cracked that bitch open and made it rain brosé on all my coworkers. All in all, it was a good night. Would do it again.

Yelp
Lights turned down, and you hear the sound of B-3...B-3 someone yells Bingo! That's right, I was here with some work buds for Drag Queen Bingo.. It was a blast and the bar was popping! Our crew stationed themselves upstairs over looking the rest of the bar. The bingo was fun, and yes I did not win, and started to not care about winning after a few drinks and a few losing cards. The bartenders were great, and hard working and it never took too long to get a drink. The place is pretty low key and no one seemed to be acting cooler then anyone else.. Which I dug and I could see myself coming back. The drag queen was really fun and a lovely host to the evening.. I had a few high lifes and called it a night! A fun night that was!

Yelp
Cool little spot in a fun stretch of Mission St. This place is connected to Foreign Cinema and near other fun spots like Lolinda, the ALAMO theater, and Purple Star. Good drinks, great selection, even the well drinks were good liquor. Alex is a great bartender. She has a good professional demeanor while having fun with it. In just two visits she has become a beacon of positive vibes and great energy. It takes a special kind of person to come up to you, smile at you, ask how your day was, and actually listen to you when you respond. The drink selections that we've gotten in our visits have been smackin and on point for what we've explained to her. You can tell she loves being a bartender and being around good people. We love Horchata!

Yelp
I go to Lazlo's all the time for this and that and have hosted events there in the past. Every experience has always resulted in good drinks, and great food (obviously since Lazlo's has the Foreign Cinema menu). Last night I hosted a Galentine's get together (Valentine's Day for gals), and I was blown away by the experience. Nicky, was professional, responsive, and thoughtful the whole way through planning the event. Day-of, she made sure to greet me, show me the space, and made sure that my guests were comfortable. What impressed me is that Nicky was hosting a theme in the bar for Valentine's Day and she let me know exactly how it would impact my event. It turned out to be a perfect fit for our group and we loved the movies, snacks, drinks themes and little details that made our event more silly and fun. Would absolutely plan an event at Lazlo's again!
