It’s Manhattan Season — Here’s Where to Drink One in Indianapolis This February | Eater

"Before dining through the farm-to-table experience, enjoy an Angel’s Envy Manhattan on the rocks in the cozy bar alcove. Watch a collegiate game with a friend or sit quietly in the floor-to-ceiling windowed space, providing an ample opportunity to let the outdoors in. It’s the perfect neighborhood spot to witness the Midwestern seasonal change from the snow to the bright Midwestern blue sky, finding clarity and calm after a busy day." - Vox Creative

Good cocktails. Excellent deviled eggs, General Tso’s, and flank steak. The crab cakes weren’t made with lump crab and tasted very fishy. The tallow fries were chewy. The share plate that was brought to me had an earwig on it. When I asked to speak to the manager they said there wasn’t one and said the chef would speak to me. His anger was barely contained. He said he would comp the whole meal. I said, that’s not what we’re asking for. He said, well that’s what you’re getting and he stormed off.

Tried Late Harvest Kitchen for the first time today! The ambience was nice, nestled in a strip mall close to the Keystone Mall. The service was phenomenal, with food coming out promptly after ordering and our server Megan was very hospitable. The food itself was good, I ordered the Spicy Lamb Tagliatelle. The dish was delicious (and spicy!) and I first thought that the portions looked too small but after finishing I found the meal to be rather filling. My mom ordered the Halibut and felt that the fish was a little too under seasoned. Other than that, few complaints!

We had a wonderful dinner at Late Harvest Kitchen. Our server was professional and helped us celebrating my new job be extra special. The food was beyond words and belief. I loved how the server discussed the chef often, discussed his intentions and made you feel like you were in partner with the chef to perfect your meal! You actually are a partner in many ways. You must try the potatoes, deviled eggs and scallops. Perfect meal! The dessert was amazing too! We had the chocolate moose. Fancy, clean, and a special place for any occasion!

On a whim, although my fiance and I never celebrate Valentine's Day, we decided to just go out for dinner. We didn't have a reservation and they were completely booked, but they made room for two more (of which we're most grateful). Our server was Kate... I think. She was pleasant and attentive and made our dining experience warm. The food service was fast and that made our tummies warm. The food was great! We ordered several starters to enjoy. We had the foie gras and blueberry pancakes - interesting combination but surprisingly works well together. So tasty. We also had the caviar pie, deviled eggs, and fish dumplings. For our main course, we shared the whole rainbow trout with a medley of vegetables. Everything was delicious. It was an amazing impromptu Valentine's meal.

I’ve driven pass LHK for years and it wasn’t until recent my son and his wife dined there. They said they enjoyed their dining experience so I decided to checkout LHK for myself. The restaurant is beautiful decorated and would definitely impress for a first date. But, before I give you my review, let me start by saying in all fairness I had just attended a birthday celebration at nearby restaurant and I wasn’t hungry. So here it is… We enjoyed the elected complementary breads served with whipped butter. We ordered the shrimp ravioli and braised short ribs. I don’t eat pork or beef but my sister said the the ribs were tender, flavorful and well seasoned. Her only gripe was one of the three ribs were a little fatty. But that didn’t stop her. She cut the fat away and devoured her food. As for the ravioli the pasta was too al dente for me and overall an underwhelming dish. But, the fried deviled eggs… I was apprehensive when my sister ordered the fried doubled eggs as an appetizer but wow! They were lightly battered, slightly crispy on the outside, and silky-smooth on the inside. My palate danced with every bite. They were definitely by far the star of my dining experience.

This place is an Indianapolis gem, a routine restaurant rotation for any person interested in fine dining. The dishes rotate regularly, are always well prepared, the staff has always been highly attentive. The Pork chop, Fired Devil Eggs, and Sticky Toffee Pudding are some of the usual suspects and are always worth getting. Look for seasonal game dishes like Duck or Elk that might make an appearance briefly. The fish dishes are always a high level experience as well with twists on Sea Bass or Tuna. The Minneapolis Potatoes are the perfect sharable side for most groups. 10/10 take your date here at least once if you're a foodie. Picky eaters beware though.

What can I say? Intimate and cozy restaurant and bar. Our waiter was Phenomenal! Knowledgeable about the menu, excited to have us taste the food and always seemed to anticipate our next need. The food was seasoned to perfection and what a unique and delicious menu. This was a special treat. Perfect for date night, Girls night out, Anniversary or Birthday. Trust me, you cant go wrong!!

Google
Late Harvest is truly one of my “happy places” on earth. The people are always awesome! The food is incredible and the atmosphere is wonderful. We just went in with my family. My wife and I split the classic iceberg salad. It’s delicious with little sweetie drops, onion ring, bleu cheese… I had the smoked Turkey and dumplings. It was sooooo good! My son got the pork cheek pot pie. Perfect for a cool Fall night! Scott was our server. We always love when we get Scott. He’s such a great server and always has great recommendations (because it’s so hard to choose). Well done again, y’all!

Yelp
Had a great server, Chris. We made reservations for our wedding anniversary dinner. It was the first time for both me and my wife. We were greeted promptly with a Happy Anniversary! We had a great table with a great view but they all looked good. We started with a couple cocktails, both were great. We had crispy deviled eggs for an appetizer - I highly recommend these! For dinner, I had the cod with gnocchi- yum. My wife had the ravioli - sweet potato and mascarpone- she said it was excellent! Dessert - French pressed decaf coffee, chocolate mousse and the house special - sticky toffee pudding - amazing! I ate it all, shouldn't have, but I did ...

Yelp
This was probably one of the best meals I've had this year. The deviled eggs were also a hit. The Brussels sprout salad was a great take on this vegetable in a new delicious way. The salmon was cooked perfectly . The sticky bread pudding was my favorite. I would go there just for that and cocktails. I look forward to returning soon for another meal as good as the first.

Yelp
I actually received a gift card from a jewelry store I visit often so I took them up on their offer and went. I visited this place years and years ago and I didn't recall enjoying it much but I must say this visit was really good. I was told they have a rotating menu and the menu that we had this day was great. If you are more of an American burger and fries person this may not be your spot, but if you are a little more adventurous, you will find this to be a treat. Our server was very helpful and offered us really good ideas when we weren't sure between a couple different choices. They also have a nice cocktail menu with some nice top shelf bourbons if you are into that. Bread comes for the table and it's nice because it is a variety of bread not all the same. Price is pretty fair for what you get, no complaints there. I will be back!

Yelp
Fantastic food, service and ambience! We were just driving through and were really glad we found this spot.

Yelp
Late Harvest Kitchen is a great dinner place to appreciate the ambiance, food and service. My husband and I came in for an early birthday dinner. I'm blown away at the food! We went with our waiter Terril's recommendation of the Caviar Pie. This is sweet, savory, and salty all in one tasty bite. 10/10 would order this again in a heartbeat. Next I had the Ahi tuna. This was served with a sweet teriyaki like sauce. I had it prepared to the chef's preference which was perfection. It was perfect in my opinion and a slam dunk for my taste. My husband had the smoked duck. His last experience with duck wasn't great and he was somewhat hesitant about having it again. Boy was he wrong!! The smoked duck was delicately prepared and served on roasted corn risotto. A blackberry gastrique rounds out the dish. With a few bites taken, he was saying this was one of the best bites he's taken. (Insert lots of ohhhs and ahhs). The menu changes here so these may not be here when you dine but if they are grab a caviar pie and smoked duck. You will not regret your choice!

Yelp
My reviews are skewed to the high end (4s & 5s) as I generally visit only restaurants with positive write ups and reputations. And...I rate honestly according to what the eatery is striving for. I hadn't been to Late Harvest in years and chose it to dine with friends because it was equidistant from our respective homes. A fine dining destination tucked away at the far east end of Keystone Crossing - with a wonderful menu, great service and a very good wine & beverage list. The ladies split the Butternut Squash & Marscapone stuffed Ravioli and raved about its goodness. John liked the Flat Iron steak cooked to medium rare. I loved the day's special lightly roasted medium rare Duck Breast served with a Butternut Squash Risotto. We shared a bottle of nice Italian White wine as well as a bowl of roasted veggies. Great service from Josh and his helper/runner. Well satisfied at $55 per person.

Yelp
My fellow Yelpers were right about this place! I loved my experience here. Came in and sat at the bar, and enjoyed an orange rose wine, the Brussels sprouts salad, and salmon. Everything was delicious and I dug in so quickly I didn't get good pictures. They switch up their menu frequently based on seasons and fresh ingredients. The service was great, and the bartender told me there's a lovely group of regulars who dine in often and I watched as he greeted them all by name. I'd recommend a reservation for groups. Can't wait to return next time I'm in town.

Yelp
We brought in 14 people for a birthday party (reservation one week prior) and our servers Ethan (?) and Scottie kept up with our loud group like a pro!! Amazing service. This is a heavy meat place - if you come, avoid the fish or veggies. Their menu focus is the steak, veal, pork for all the flavor you could ask for. Teriyaki pork belly appetizer was amazing - A MUST HAVE. Desserts were all amazing and massive but the chocolate mousse was the best !! I wasn't sure what the sockeye salmon flavor was trying to do - the beets and moisture toned down almost any and all flavor - good piece of salmon but bad cooking so avoid it! The bone marrow dressing caused the French fries to be rock hard - we didn't expect the fries to be a solid hard crisp. Everything else we got was crispy in a good way, including the perfectly cooked schnitzel! Thank you for making us laugh and being an awesome place to host our friend's 30th birthday dinner!

Yelp
So consistent and and the waiters/bartender are so knowledgeable. If you are looking for a restaurant to visit while here I highly recommend!

Yelp
We popped into this little hidden gem after shopping at Restoration Hardware outlet next door. They were able to squeeze us in at 6:40 pm on a Friday night and Josh, our server, was fantastic. He split our wedge salad starter onto two plates. We loved the pork belly and mini peppadew peppers. I ordered the walleye and my wife ordered one of the specials: penne pork bolognese. Both were spectacular, and cooked to perfection! Great wine list and amazing dessert: we split the signature hot toffee pudding with fresh whipped cream. We will definitely be back! Bon Appetite.

Yelp
In on a busy Friday evening and the entire experience was on point! Food was fantastic, hospitality was great!
google avatar

Kyle J.

Yelp
Food was decent but probably will never return because of the service. Unfriendly waiter who would walk past our table the whole night and only get us something if we flagged him down. Shared our frustration with the manager and he did zero things to turn the evening around other than saying he would talk with our waiter. Spend your money somewhere else.

Yelp
Food is ok... duck is not bad, lamb is not bad, potato is like hashbrown, veggies is like ok to me...

Yelp
I have no idea why I've never been here before, I was missing out! My husband and I stopped in on a busy Saturday and fortunately were able to sit in the bar area. Our server D was amazing, friendly and knew the menu very well. I have celiac and can't have gluten so he marked up a menu showing me what I can have and what modifications would need to be made! I had the scallops, so delicious. Can't wait to return.

Yelp
Sat in the Bar. The Best Service you could ask for. Great Wine selections. The deviled Eggs appetizer. Was the Best ever. I will be going back Run to try it out I met a lot of locals and people from out of the state very high-quality great atmosphere A great place for a first date
google avatar

Yelp
Out with dear friends and wanted to try a new place. Loved the atmosphere and the service however "chef" might want to consider adding dishes with flavor to include salt, herbs, spices and acidity to help with taste and balance.

Joseph F.

Yelp
So strong... Sat at the bar and had dinner. Absolutely outstanding meal. Also, the service, impeccable. The bartender named D, probably one of the nicest people in all of Indianapolis. Probably the best service in all of Indianapolis. What a nice little spot, I can't believe I found this place. Will be back soon.

Yelp
We visited Late Harvest for a birthday celebration, and they made our experience very special! They are chef-owned and operated, and they use local ingredients creatively to create excellent dishes. Their menu changes daily, so our waiter did a wonderful job describing the menu in depth and explaining any daily features. He shared that he's never disliked something on the menu, which I believe! Their signature entree (always on the menu) is their pork chop, which we totally plan to come back to try. We ordered a shaved Brussel Sprout salad and a daily featured lamb ribs dish as a starter, but we were pleased to find they also brought out a complimentary basket of bread. The lamb was my favorite dish of the night, perfectly tender with a sweet and spicy Asian-inspired glaze. For dinner, we had the ravioli w/ duck and the venison medallions. The ravioli was very rich, so while I thought it seemed small at first it ended up being a great size. We were also convinced to get a side of home fries to share, and although we ended up taking most of it home it reheated perfectly the next day. They finished off a fantastic meal with a surprise Sticky Toffee Pudding as a birthday treat, which was absolutely incredible! Late Harvest Kitchen is upscale without being unnecessarily expensive. It felt great value for the price, and their personal service helped make it a wonderful evening.

Yelp
Since Late Harvest is serving lunch on Friday, through the holidays, we decided to try it. We sat in the bar. Had great service with a bartender who was not too busy to take part in our Holiday cheer. Great sense of humor We had deep fried deviled eggs. Yum. My husband and I had Cajun Gumbo. Perfectly seasoned and the right amount of spice. Plenty of meat and chicken. I had to finish the lunch off with toffee pudding. Most yummy Christmas dessert. The bill was a little pricy but all and all lunch was well worth it. The bar is small. About 8 tables and of course the actual bar. We didn't feel squeezed or crowded, although all of the tables were full. Just felt welcomed and at ease Go back? Heck yes!

Yelp
It was a very special night for my Princess, it was her birthday. This amazing restaurant Late Harvest was our daughter choice. You need to make reservations. But, as soon as we showed up we were seat and greeted by our Server. We started the night with the Fried Eggs and wine. Very delicious! I had the schnitzel, it was fantastic it just lemon. The atmosphere was upscale, but very relaxing. The entire staff was all over everything. A meets come back place

Yelp
Wow! Traveling on business and dropped in for dinner at the bar. I could not have asked for a better experience. The bartender Dee welcomed me like an old friend and treated me like a regular. The wedge salad was fantastic with a unique twist of adding Sweety Drop peppers to the fantastic blue cheese and thick cut bacon crumbles. I opted for the house favorite, their classic pork chop and it was a home run! My passion is finding great local run restaurants with my weekly travels and Late Harvest was a great find. Cheers to Dee and the Chef!

Yelp
We decided to go hear to eat and celebrate my birthday. It was a very good choice. From the time we walked into the restaurant until we left everyone was so friendly and gracious. I got a happy birthday greeting before we even got to our seats. They made us feel like guests in their home. Our server Scott was so helpful with advice on the menu as well as his personal favorites. Our cocktails were served promptly and were delicious. I had the Sancho which was a spicy tequila house specialty. We'd heard good reviews of the fried deviled eggs as an appetizer and they weren't wrong. So delicious! I had the chicken schnitzel as my entree. It was a huge serving with plenty for leftovers. I really enjoyed it. My birthday dessert was also huge and tasty. There was enough for two to share. This was a great place to go for celebrating a special occasion.

Yelp
Went here for my aunt's birthday and were pleasantly surprised! To start, the restaurant has a fancy and elegant atmosphere and when you walk in you're greeted by a pleasant hostess. After our big party was sat our waiter came and greeted us and took our drink orders. The cocktails they had were fantastic. We ordered our food and out came the salads first. I ordered the wedge salad and thought it was really good. Maybe not worth 15$ though. Next I ordered the pork chop and thought it was one of the best pork chops I've ever had. My table ordered the steak and two of the sides that they had and loved them all. Everything was cooked to perfection and had 0 complaints. For dessert we had the sticky toffee and it was incredible. Highly recommend if you have the space for it. Service through the night was also top notch! Would give this place a 8.5/9 out of 10. If they worked a bit on their prices it would earn them a 10 pretty quick! I will be back here for sure.

Yelp
Planning a 28th Anniversary dinner date should not be taken lightly, so after much deliberation, and using the tools at my disposal (like Yelp), I opted for Late Harvest Kitchen. Fortunately, I was able to make reservations for an early evening dinner, as on a Friday night, we found it to be quite popular. Upon arrival, we were greeted with genuine warmth, which is a perfect way to make the patron feel at ease. Yes, this restaurant does have a classy ambiance, but we were made to feel at home. I opted for a table out on the porch, which was a delight, especially since the weather was ideal for a comfortable meal. Our servers were extremely attentive, and made us both feel at home. The menu was treated as an engaging story, with highlights to certain items. To start, I opted for a cocktail, the Brodo Baggins, which was a perfect blend of bourbon, blood orange, lemon, cranberry and cardamom. My kind of libation. My better half ordered one of her favorite glasses of wine. As for our meal, my wife opted for the braised chicken thighs with polenta, shishito peppers and sauce Louis. She was more than happy to share the peppers with me. For my dish, I went with the pan-seared King Salmon with the sweet corn succotash. It was perfectly prepared and plated. Oh my, I won't say they saved the best for last, because everything was outstanding, but our host was enthusiastic to suggest their award-winning sticky toffee pudding. It arrived piping hot and was like nothing I've ever had before. Yes, one would say that we had a grand time at Late Harvest Kitchen. Top to bottom, a wonderful experience.
google avatar

Teresa M.

Yelp
Kept hearing folks suggest late harvest kitchen for a good spot for special occasions. I checked the website to see the menu and noticed it indictated the menu changed daily. I was slightly hesistant about this just because my husband can be somewhat picky.. anyway we decided to give it a go one friday night when we wanted to try something new. Made a reservation online (would suggest) - we had an early slot and the place filled up! We started with a brussel sprout salad - simple and tasty! A general tso pork belly - melted in my mouth! Then we had mahi mahi and a ribeye all outstanding. Service was attentive and nicely paced- we were able to enjoy the appetizers and relax before the entrees came.
google avatar

Sue F.

Yelp
Tremendous flavor and wine list. Spectacular service in a quiet yet active environment.

Myra C.

Yelp
Excellent food. Wait staff very experienced and attentive. Has outdoor eating area. Inside dining room intimate experience.
google avatar

Alicia R.

Yelp
We always eat outside as they have a lovely area for that. Servers always have a lot of personality. Cocktails always good. Apps are smallish but main dishes are big, and we often get an odd combination of things, splitting, sharing and so on, and doesn't seem to bother servers....love the shaved Brussels sprouts salad, which is a signature dish, but we've tried the signature pork chop entree twice and we just aren't sure why it's a big deal, frankly. Sticky toffee pudding is good, but super rich, so order "to go" if you're already a little full.
google avatar

Kim K.

Yelp
I can see why this place consistently ranks in one of the best places to eat in Indy. The ambiance is intimate and the bartenders and service staff are incredibly friendly. Started off with the mussels which were buttery, garlicky and good bread to dip all the buttery goodness up with. Deviled eggs were also ordered for the table which were to my surprise also very delicious. The star of the show was the whole branzino, which was deboned tableside. This was very much Mediterranean influenced dish. The olives were good in this dish, however felt that the brine from the olives overpowered the fish. Great meal and would definitely come back!
google avatar

Jeff M.

Yelp
First time in Indy and was staying at a hotel in the area and the menu hear looked impressive. I was blown away from start to finish. I don't understand how someone would opt for Cheescake Factory, Sullivan's or any of the restaurants in this area when this is an option. The cocktails were fantastic and the food was so balanced with acid salt and fat. Awesome ambiance, great staff, literally nothing to be improved.
google avatar

Liz H.

Yelp
Service was top notch here. I was by myself (traveling for work) and instead of sitting at the bar, I opted for a table outside. I was seated at the most romantic table by the fountain. No one made me feel uncomfortable being alone. The server suggested the Passport to start and I'm so glad he did. It was balanced and delicious. I went with the crispy deviled eggs to start. The yolks were so smooth! Finally, I did the chicken schnitzel. I probably should have gotten something else, nothing was wrong with the dish, but it didn't sing as loudly as the other things. I think it needed a bit more sauce. It was tasty, but probably not what I really wanted. I'll be back to try something else, for sure.
google avatar

Elaina M.

Yelp
Amazing, amazing, amazing! We will be back! Loved the food and the dessert! The service is great as well and I cannot wait to check out the outdoor patio in the spring or summertime because the ambience looks amazing.

Yelp
We came to late harvest kitchen as part of our work groups "fall bash" where I was able to meet the team that I've been working for 8 months for the first time in person. So this was one of a few Indianapolis restaurants I was allowed to frequent and it was great. We were a group of 7 and were assigned a very attentive waiter who took care of our multiple course need and the drinks to accompany it. Sips: We guided through the wines and tried a few from the Malbec to the sparking wines. My colleague enjoyed their gin cocktail on special which was a twist on a tequila sunrise. The menu is satisfying without being overwhelming with a few beers, a few cocktails, and a solid wine list. The Set (ambiance): Elevated but not overly posh, modern and intimate without cloaking you in darkness like some more dimly lit places do. It was comfortable where we were able to be our loud marketing selves Service: Delightful. Our waiter was attentive but not overtly present. Sups (food): The entrees are very large and the sides are to share. For sides and appetizers: We got the tartare but we skipped the sweetbreads and had some solid vegetable and potato dishes to supplement. For mains I had the ahi tuna which was delightfully rare and very generous portions with melt in the mouth leeks. Some colleagues were similarly satisfied with their 16 oz steaks which was so large they ended up sharing (female colleagues) I really enjoyed it a lot and would return on my own dime with a group or another work event. Cheers

Mary S.

Yelp
Food, service and ambience are all fabulous! I keep going back and am already looking forward to my next visit. SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT!

Yelp
The dinner duck (it's a wooden duck) gifted us with this gem for our anniversary this year. We put the names of restaurants that require reservations into the dinner duck, pull one of the sheets of paper, make a reservation, then head out for dinner. We're early eaters (we're trying to be fully prepared for retirement) so there was only one other table in the restaurant when we got there. Because of that, the beginning of our evening we were treated like rock stars. I was super excited to try the deviled eggs, and I was not disappointed. They might be the best deviled eggs I have ever had (sorry Mom!). I had intended to try the chicken schnitzl, but the server touted the pork chop successfully and Hubs opted for the salmon. Everything about the pork chop was fantastic (except the bone, but that's a personal thing) and my husband claimed the salmon was possibly the best food he's ever eaten. The potatoes Minneapolis were interesting and tasty, and the dessert was also pretty darn good. Towards the end of our visit, the service level dropped off significantly, which is why this spot got four stars instead of five, however, I would still recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Elle J.

Yelp
Wonderful wonderful place with amazing service! Spent our anniversary night here and the staff was perfect! From the moment we walked into the door we were treated with such warmth and kindness! All of the staff make you feel like you are right at home. We chose outdoor seating which even in chilly weather is perfect! The fire pit and heaters keep the area nice and warm and the ambiance of the outdoor area is superb! We tried the Fried Deviled Eggs and General Tso's Pork Belly for appetizers! Both were delicious and the pork belly melted in your mouth! For the main course we did the Pork Chop, Chicken Schnitzel, and Potatoes Minneapolis All was so yummy! The Sticky Toffy Pudding dessert is a definite must try! Our server, D, was so attentive to us and very knowledgeable about the menu! We will definitely be back!

Jenn L.

Yelp
Absolutely waste of time and money. All the food felt like a swing and a miss. Even when I mentioned something I was unhappy with, I was ignored. All of the reason, bad. I will never be back.

Yelp
Tonight we dined for the first time at Late Harvest Kitchen. It's not a new place but we had just never been. It was amazing and I wished we hadn't waited so long to try it. They do change the menu frequently and tonight they had some special French items for Bastille Day. Everything is made in house. We started with some cocktails and split a wedge salad. The salad had some unique items on it like roasted pears and sweety drop peppers which were delicious. I need to see if I can find them at the store. They also gave us a bread basket with all homemade breads. Four different kinds. And house made butter. For entrees my husband had the pork chop which was huge! It was topped with baked beans and kraut and bacon marmalade which was amazing! I had the special beef bourguignon. The beef was so tender and sauce so good. We also got the potatoes Minneapolis which we didn't need! We both took half our entrees and most of the potatoes home. We knew we had to leave room for dessert. There was no question we were going to get the sticky toffee pudding. This dessert has been voted the best dessert in Indiana a few times and I would agree! It was huge but we finished it! They have a beautiful garden patio but it was too hot for us to sit out there so we hope to sit out there next time! Can't wait to go back and try some other items on the menu (and get the sticky toffee pudding again!)

Yelp
We met with friends on our visit to Late Harvest Kitchen, and I'd say the ambiance was very relaxing. The drinks were also very good. We started with the bone marrow fries which were very delicious. I also ordered the Pork Belly appetizer which included stir fry veggies. It's safe to say that that was my meal. It was flavorful, and filling. The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes. The service was good, but not over the top. I believe that the service matched the ambiance. I'll definitely be returning. The fries alone are worth the visit.
google avatar

Sandy G.

Yelp
I don't get the hype. The atmosphere is nice and the drinks are decent but the food is nothing special. Chicken schnitzel had no flavor and had some strange dry pebbles on top that made it even less appetizing. Ramp pasta was edible but had a strange mix of flavors that didn't really come together. The fries were greasy and again, no flavor. The best thing we ate was the sticky toffee pudding.
google avatar

Celeste S.

Yelp
I stopped into Late Harvest in response to a friend who knows me well noticing they had an octopus appetizer. Love octopus! I sat in the bar next to some very engaging guys I'd never met before. The bartenders were fun and informative. But the food? The food was amazing! The bartender added bread because this was my whole meal. The better to soak up sauce! A nice glass of wine made for a lovely solo evening.

Yelp
I'd say Late Harvest is one of my favorite restaurants on the northeast side! (And there are lot of good spots in the area) Service is always excellent at Late Harvest, and so are the drinks and the food! The atmosphere is chill and elegant.

Yelp
For the price, LHK, it is rather forgettable. I first dined here when it opened years ago and last week was my first re-visit since my husband had never tried it. My husband and I ordered everything to share as we weren't starving (thank goodness): 1. Fried deviled eggs $10. Yummy but what isn't yummy that is fried. 2. Vegetables as a side $9. This was nothing special and something I could have made at home. 3. Veal chop $48. We ordered the temperature of medium rare per chef recommendation. It was juicy but a little under cooked. The sauce was not very flavorful. Served with dried grapes, this little punch of sweetness was the only delightful thing about the dish. I don't think LHK is bad, just not a place high on my list with so many other options in town that are a bit more exciting for the price point. Their commitment to using local ingredients is commendable and I hope more restaurants follow the lead.

Yelp
This restaurant continues to impress me more with each visit. Our server Josh had so much personality and made our night. The menu changes daily and no matter who I bring there is something for everyone to love. If you love to try adventurous different dishes I highly recommend trying this spot.

Yelp
This was our first trip to Late Harvest and we would like to return. The desserts disappointed. Sticky Toffee pudding and chocolate mousse were both overly sweet and the mousse was really one flavor note. We'll return without desserts. What was great? Service, from front to back. The Mahi was delicious and the pork chop performed beyond expectations. The star of our show was the beef tar tar appetizer. It was brilliant! The fried deviled eggs sound fantastic but we were looking for a gluten free app so I'll try those another night. The bone marrow fries are a dish we fell in love with at North End Barbecue and have missed. Don't underestimate the cocktails. As a fan of a good Old Fashioned, I went with the Trinidad variant and was delighted. The complexity and depth of flavor was a delight. We'll be back, and we'll save our money on the desserts. I'm confident that will boost it to 5 stars.

Yelp
So when the hubs says he wants to get dressed up and go out (bday for me, Feb '18), and leaves the rsvps up to me, you know that means #FoodPorn pics are coming! Hadn't been before, and always wanted to go, as I'd heard good things. Nothing special from the outside (in the strip mall where the Bed Bath & Beyond is at Keystone), but a nice classic yet cozy atmosphere inside. Excellent service. Everything was top notch. Whole Bronzini for me, expertly fileted at the table, asked chef to pair a wine (he picked a Black Stallion Sauv Blanc, and it was perfect). Pork cheeks for the hubs, plus shaved Brussels sprout salad, roasted veggies, French press and house special sticky toffee pudding to wrap it up. Stick a fork in me, I'm done! #SeriousYums #RevewsByRL

Yelp
Always a great meal at Late Harvest! We have been coming here since they opened and it is always consistent and delicious! We split a wedge salad, and the red fish entree (they bring it to you split which is my favorite) and the Minneapolis potatoes which are YUM. And my dad had the Brussels sprouts salad and the duck entree- both of which he said were delicious! Of course, had to end the night with their Sticky Toffee Pudding!! Always great service from Chris and it's awesome to see a restaurant so attentive to their patrons. Every single employee that walked by was moving quick and organized. Our waters were never empty, always had clean plates, etc! We will be back :)

Yelp
Don't let the outside appearance fool you! Lat Harvest Kitchen looks like a chain, located in a strip mall setting next to Old Navy. But it's a great spot! The pasta is made in-house!

Yelp
Sat at Bar and Murph took care of us. Manhattan with big rock was excellent so I had another. Wife had a a Old Fashion and she had another because it was fabulous. Fish dumplings were very good. Wedge salad was perfect. Sea Bass was awesome and fresh. We were to full to get dessert but everything looked good on the menu. Murph is the best bartender in Indy. Roll Tide!
