Una joya cultural. I came to Texas Latino Comic Con, which was awesome, and this place is phenomenal. A lot of space for art exhibits along with a conference room and a stage. I came from Houston, and we have similar spaces, but even the architecture was reminiscent of a pyramid. If you come to Dallas, come check it out Very welcoming space.

I wish there were evening events that I could attend to truly appreciate this space. Other than galleries it's good spot for a warm aesthetic photoshoot during the day.

The latino cultural center has many great events I went to the Latino Comic Con in Aug. & just recently I went to the reunion de naciones. The atmosphere here is great & there was good seating in both theaters. Highly recommend coming here!

Best Hispanic Heritage Month event put together by Cara Mia and the staff of the City of Dallas Latino Cultural Center. Kudos to the entire team of entertainers and vendors who participated in this great Latino life experience. It was worth the drive from Grand Prairie. Lorena, my six year old loved her new pair of abuelitos!

I love taking our Son, and now Mommy, to the LCC to share our culture and traditions. We were impressed with all of the Oferendas. I did not experience them growing up. Seeing Iris's was especially a sight to see. She put her heart into hers. Her family and close friends pets and all... It made me miss my Dad. Thank you for the events at LCC. I look forward to continuing to share with family and friends the wonderful learning of culture and traditions at the LCC.

Love it, mainly because it shows our art (local/ upcoming artists) to be seen. The staff was very helpful when asking questions and help set up the altars for Dia de los Muertos. I myself have volunteered to help during the Brazilian festival which is yearly

A hidden gem where anyone can learn about various aspects of Latin culture depending on the exhibit, conference or symposium occurring at a particular period. Victor was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and is a treasure to the center. Don't hesitate to stop in, especially if you love learning about different cultures. The center is not a large facility but the size alliws tou to take in all they have to offer withiut feeling a need to rush through.

Yelp
The Dallas Latino Cultural Center is a facility owned by the City of Dallas and partly funded by the City of Dallas Arts and Culture. Located east of Highway 75 near the downtown exit, it is easy to access. There is a large free parking area on the grounds. The facility has a two theaters, an auditorium, exhibition space, a classroom, and outdoor space. There are a variety of activities happening here throughout the year, and they are all in support of the preservation and development of the Latino and Hispanic arts and culture. I met a few friends here on a Saturday morning to see the free art exhibit, "Quince Latinas". It was the last day of the exhibit. In fact the art was being removed later in the day and being replaced with a new exhibit. We were fortunate to run into one of the artists, Diana Marquis. She was kind enough to give us a tour of the facility as well as share in depth knowledge about the art and artists whose work was on display, including her own. She encouraged us to look through the gallery first on our own, and then she walked us through telling us about artists like:the 90 year old artist who went to Italy regularly to take marble sculpture classes. She had two pieces on exhibit. Several artists had advanced degrees in the sciences. One had unique pieces such as soap art of dogs. This is a small gallery. If you are in the area, you can easily view the art during a work break. They offer art classes here for a fee. Be sure to check out their website for their movie, exhibit, and class schedules.

Yelp
Soooo...I was going to wait until I re-visited this place before I reviewed, but I don't know if I'll actually be back, so I'll go ahead and review now and possibly update it later. I'm from San Diego, I'm fluent in Spanish and I dig Mexican culture. That being sad, I was really looking forward to coming here and have had it bookmarked for months. Man, I was sooo bummed out by my visit. So glad I came solo instead of with out of town guests. I don't know what I thought I was going to see, but I think the reviews increased my expectation or something. Maybe I should have came on a weekend instead of weekday? I don't know. I know they have events though, I didn't come on one of those days. I'm seriously hoping I can update this review. It didn't take long to browse everything. There was a room full of statues and then an exhibit with this month's featured artist. Now, learning about him was cool, but overall something was missing and it just all felt like a waste of space. Like they just had things on the wall to stay open, ya know? However, If you're planning an event and looking to reserve the space, it's pretty nice in that aspect. The colors are true to Mexican culture and the architect did a nice job. There's also a parking lot. Sadly, I dug the outside more than the inside. Gratefully, it was free. I don't have much else to say other than that.

Yelp
Coming from Miami, I am overjoyed to have found the Latin Cultural Center. My first show "Your Healing is Killing me" with Virgina Grise was simply amazing! It was easy to find the center and park, even with some construction issues in the area. The theatre was intimate and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful; I felt at home! There is so much creativity happening at the Latino Cultural Center, I'll be there over and over again!

Yelp
Sadly, I was not able to go inside as the day I visited the center itself was closed. Then why the 5 stars you ask? Because as I was driving by I saw the B _ G sign out front. It was greatly placed in front of their purple walls. It made for a cool picture! Since the center was closed we were able to park right next to it for the photo op.

Yelp
The good Love the entrance design as i look around openness is welcoming. As i entered the theater and took my seat the stage is nice and open Nice. The area in Deep Ellum is inviting. And the dart runs right in front Great the orange and purple will have you saying hummmmmm!!! Nice. Nice Job. I will be back The bad... By looking from outside you would not image the view inside love the entrance. The sound is ok inside the theater. If you ever called now that can be a issue just voice message sooooo... The ugly... I have no comment nothing ugly about it

Yelp
I went last Saturday to two exhibitions: one about the history of Morelos, a mexican hero that fought on the Independence War and the other one was about mexican photography. Both excellent exhibitions and the staff was really friendly. The arquitecture of this place also is a good representation of contemporary mexican, a nice job by Legorreta. Hope they have more exhibits in the future as good as this ones.

Yelp
After the kids had a bad experience with another downtown camp (see my older reviews). I was referred to Latino Cultural Center. They have wonderful camps for kids. It has been an awesome experience. I truly don't have to worry. Staff is competent and kind. I drive from Cedar Hill. I wouldn't have it any other way. Hugs and thanks to staff.

Yelp
Unfortunately, there's not a lot I can say about this venue. However I can tell you the main auditorium caters to 300 people. It's not too bad but by looking on the outside you'd think the place could accommodate much more. They do have a parking lot on the side of live oak street which is great if you're in deep ellum. (For those of you who know deep ellum, you'll know that getting parking around that area can be difficult most times without paying $5.00 at least) I love the engineering design.. Well, I guess I had more to say about it than I thought. Go me!

Yelp
I went to the "festival de verano" event last saturday. Bottom line, don't waist your money this is a dance recital for kids, housewives and grand ma. The event was poorly coordinated off que and out of sync with the music played....and I'm not talking about the part with kids, that atleast was cute and entertaining. To be fair there were moments when the show featured some well done solo performances but I would hate to see someone else pay money to go see Grand ma perform (and struggle to remeber her next move while not having a heart attack). Waste of time and money and the event is not advertised appropriately.

Yelp
Great performance hall plenty of space and seats. The murals are amazing as well as the constantly changing exhibits. The center host tons of events so make sure you schedule your visit before hand. We are lucky to have a place to host events for children as well as serious artist. Keep up the great work guys.

Yelp
Alejandro and his staff are the best... they have hosted the Miguel Hidalgo Awards by OCCA yet again....very gracious.
