Latitudes - Delray Sands Resort

We met friends that we haven’t seen in 13 years! What a wonderful place to meet. We had a larger group so we got a private room to ourselves. The drinks were delicious and the food was outstanding. The staff was friendly and attentive. And the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is stunning. Out of a magazine! I highly recommend latitudes to anyone who visits the Delmar area in Florida. Outside, they had the sandbar where they had live music and a good crowd for happy hour. I almost wished we had sat out there!

Let me start by saying that the food was absolutely fantastic! We liked it the last time we were in the neighborhood a number of years ago but it's better still now. The oysters were incredibly fresh! The tuna poke was perfect! We had a number of different dishes in our group. The jumbo shrimp stuffed with lobster and crab was amazing! The polenta would have made me happy all on its own but the shrimp were great and just perfectly cooked (i.e. not overdone which seems unbelievably common even in restaurants) and the lobster and crab stuffing was great with the shrimp. My kids loved the chicken panini. Wife got the veal papardelle bolognase which she loved. Portion was huge but I'm not complaining about that! Our party also got the chicken quesadilla which was really good as well. Overall the food is impossible to beat and there's something for everyone. Our server was also excellent. Attentive and kind. The person who took the leftovers and boxed them frankly seemed upset that we wanted to take them despite the fact that I certainly saw other patrons doing likewise. That was the sole and very minor downside though. Overall a fantastic restaurant with great atmosphere, better food and a nice oceanside location!

First visit and what an experience! Self parking or valet option for $10. Ocean view seating was so enjoyable. Really sunny day with great drinks and great food made for a perfect day! Draco was our server and he was really wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious. From appetizer to dessert. Tiramisu is to die for!! Recommend and will revisit.

From valet parking, to quiet but amiable ambiance, to incredible service, luscious, delectable meals and desserts, to panoramic vistas…Latitudes-DelRay Resorts is THE place to go for the best Savoir Faire in dining experiences. My friends and I seldom get together to go out…but when we do…we certainly DO IT RIGHT! We had a reservation, were seated quickly and at a lovely corner table with the most spectacular view. Our server KP was knowledgeable, kindly, with good humour and he took great pains to answer our questions, take our orders, serve us promptly and make certain we were enjoying ourselves. My companions ordered drinks while I just “taste-tested” like any good friend would do! (Somebody’s got to do it!) We then enjoyed Market Oysters, Thai Shrimp Summer Rolls and Grilled Octopus before consuming the most delectable variety of main dishes. Lobster Roll, Latitudes IPA-Battered Fish and Chips, and other items were perfectly framed on every plate, making a picture that surpasses the imagination. The professional pics are EXACTLY what you are presented with, but there is no way to properly convey the smell, flavour and silky mouth feel of every delicious bite. And we did savor EVERY BITE! I’m ashamed to admit…we were all so hungry, not one of us thought to take pictures of our plates…that’s how mouthwatering everything looked and smelled. The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 were for an air conditioner that thought Murphy’s Law should apply…and decided not to be fully operational. It gave all new meaning to the “warmth” of this fine dining establishment. The other reason was that they ran out of Peanut Butter Cookies! (You had to be with us at dessert time to fully appreciate that! LOL!). No matter; we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly despite those infinitesimal issues. And I mean that sincerely! But I digress…please note that this establishment is wheelchair accessible and offers only the freshest in quality food items. The chairs are plush, roomy and VERY comfy. Chairs and tables are spaced with plenty of room in-between. No feeling of being placed inside a sardine tin. You’re never “rushed”. We dined and conversed comfortably for several hours without thought as to “having” to leave to make room for next patrons. My compatriots and I were even comfortable enough to enjoy the most luscious desserts…even though we were quite sated from engorging ourselves on the best appetizers and dinners we’d ever had. The Coconut Bomb and Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwiches made with Chocolate Gelato plus the decadent Chocolate Mousse Cake simply took our breath away. You KNOW something is out of this world when, you close your eyes after taking that first bite, because you want to savor the moment! While the only photos I took were of an incredible cornflower blue sky, beautiful deep navy blue and pristine turquoise waters below, their foamy white waves crashing on the shore…I feel you will be more encouraged and inclined, to go and experience Latitudes-DelRay Resorts for yourselves. We just felt like we’d taken a mini vacation to the Caribbean and I am quite certain…we WILL return another time to enjoy more of this exquisite, lush dining experience. Bon Apetit!

I was very excited to try the fish and chips. The pictures looked amazing. I was disappointed to find the look was better than the taste. Ill try something else next time. The chocolate cake mousse was delicious and the lobster bisque was magnificent. Our table had a perfect view of the ocean. Service was good and the atmosphere was great. Parking is valet only and you have to pay with a credit card. Cash tips of course.

Beautiful location, super attentive service, and amazing food. Personally recommend their specials which are always great and the simple fish entrees. My husband has taken me here twice and they always take extra care for special occasions.

We sat outside for our dinner. The ocean breeze and view was amazing. The food was delicious. The seafood trio was the best . The inside looks to be more fancy. There’s also an outside bar with TVs.. I love everything about this place. We will be back.

We really enjoyed our meal. The restaurant had great food and great service. All the staff have great attitudes!

They sat us outside directly in the sun and it was so hot I was on fire. If you eat here, make sure you get a table with an umbrella or a table under cover. Service was great. Smithers the bar tender is awesome, can't say enough great things about her. She makes that place.

It's my birthday, so wife makes a reservation in this restaurant. Great ocean view ,nice place and very friendly people. Ask for steak medium well it was tasty, but well done. We're having a good time so I didn't want to make a big deal. The waiter was on top of everything, so he asked how everyone was doing and talked to his boss and took care of the problem. Might consider to go there again. They got a lot of potential.next time

Positives: The view and ambiance were incredible. Our server was extremely friendly and well-informed about the menu. Negatives: The food was average, and the drinks were weak. The kitchen was very slow, and we had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for our food. I don't mind paying for quality, but at Latitudes, they charge premium prices for a mediocre experience.

Made a reservation for 6 and we were seated immediately. Our waiter was very attentive to us. The views from the restaurant are amazing. I also felt like the food came out relatively quickly. The food was great but I took off one star because my sweet potato fries were cold, soggy, and unsalted and my husband's salmon on his salad was also VERY flavorless and actually had a fishy taste to it. None the less, I still love Latitudes and would come back again

The good: outstanding views of the beach and Atlantic Ocean; very good service with a fast bar; delicious bread before the meal; great portions on a bunch of dining options with interesting twists (really good menu) The not good: tucked into the Delray Sands; valet parking only, so add $10 plus tip to your meal; if you eat outside, prepare for flies - they were all over us tonight.

Great food overlooking the water. They have an extensive wine list by the glass or by the bottle. We went for dinner and enjoyed our meal.

The food was ok because my friends were asked for Risotto and No taste good at all Ambiance was as expected but the server was No nice, just to the point. I was surprised since we used to visited frequently the restaurant. Maybe they changed the Chef?

The best thing about this restaurant is the view. Food cocktails and service mediocre at best. We are a very casual couple, and I think people judge by appearance. We r used to high quality...if I put an empty cocktail glass on end of table I expect it to be picked up and not passed 8 times. Same with dishes. We always tip very well, but the waiter did not earn it. We will go back....the view is unbeatable but this place could be so much more. This is our 6th time here so we were well aware, we always hope for more.

Loved this hidden beach bar, inside the Delray Sands Resort!! It's easy to miss it (you'd never know it was there if driving down A1A); valet is $10. It was too windy for us to sit outside, but it is one of the few restaurants in this location that is actually beachfront. Indoor and outdoor seating available. I ordered the blue cheese wedge salad and thought it was one of the better ones I've had! The lettuce was crispy and fresh, the blue cheese crumbles and dressing were a rich quality, and the bacon was cooked well done. A basic salad done right. Did have an interesting experience with an older couple who REFUSED to sit next to us at the bar because we were wearing sandals. Told the manager they NEEDED a table because our bare feet were unacceptable. The bartender was very friendly and made our experience really fun, despite the negative couple we saw. (Sandals are MORE than ok at this restaurant.) I would definitely return!

25 years in the area and I never knew this was here. Totally amazing views! Spot on service from valet to wait staff! Located inside the Delray Sands Hotel on A1A. Valet parking is available for $10. A friend told me about this place and my husband and I were going to Delray so we stopped in here for a drink. This is one of the few restaurants actually on the beach. Outdoor patio tables are just steps from the beach and ocean. Indoor tables have beautiful ocean views too. Nice menu and a happy hour from 4-6. Tuna tacos were excellent. Fresh tuna and a scallion salad in a crisp taco, with wasabi and topped with an aioli drizzle. I plan on going back either for dinner or brunch soon and when I have out of town guests this will be where I take them.

Beachside joints don't have to work hard to get customers. A view and decent food and bar will pass. This one is a bit better than average, mostly on the view. Located on the high enough above the dunes, you can really see the water. It's not world class. The plating is always a bit ham-handed, save the tuna tartare which is one of the better menu items. They over sauce fresh fish, which always is a concern. If you like more bar food-seafood, though, you'll be pleased. The raw bar is good. It's also a fave place for brunch on the weekends, and excellent seafood dinners, where the view windows are high enough up for you to enjoy the Atlantic ocean view by day, or full moon. Bar is good for dining there. Not much of a destination. There is a valet on Atlantic, around the corner. This place could be five star but no one seems to want to make that effort.

Stunning views with delicious food- hopefully you like seafood! This place is great for a fancy night out. They even have a private room if you have a special celebration with a large group! The service was fantastic, they quickly helped clean up a spill seconds after it happened! Everything we tried tasted fresh and had great flavor. I would recommend any of the seafood dishes.

We chose Latitudes for my birthday dinner due to its amazing location. We arrived at 6:30 and unfortunately all the tables next to the water were occupied. Our server was super nice, he was very knowledgeable of the menu. We picked the grilled octopus as an appetizer and it was delicious, it had pickled onions, roasted potatoes and banana peppers. My entree was the pasta with lobster and shrimp, it was perfection. It is on the pricey (+$40) side but very delicious. My husband got the crab cake, I personally didn't like it much but he liked it. I found the taste too fishy. We ordered creme brûlée for dessert and it was to die for. I am a big creme brulee fan, I try it every where I go. This was very tasty, you could tell it wasn't cheap. Our server was really nice and he brought a complimentary chocolate cake. To be honest I would go back even only for that chocolate, it was SO good! Overall we really liked our experience, valet option was a plus

Love this place. Great location, great views, and the restaurant is kept very nicely. Their management on the other hand, could use a little retraining. I'm not asking you to kiss my butt, but I definitely don't need you looking down your nose at me, or anyone else. We're here to spend money at your establishment. Trying to be a little bit more friendly. The food is good. I really only go there for the seafood, which is usually pretty fresh. I recommend the fish salad, the crab cocktail, the octopus, as long as they cook it properly. It's a great spot for a date or the family.

If you want any an amazing view and great service this is the place ---the food was delicious but it's hard to rate because you get mesmerized by the sea while you are eating ... yes it's a great restaurant

Family Dinner Date at the wifey's favorite place and once again they did not disappoint! This has been one of our top picks for several years and I must say it gets a bit better every time we visit! We were seated immediately as we had reservations and our server Grace was very attentive and efficient. We started with the Fried Calamari and an Iceberg Lettuce with a Blue Cheese dressing that was very fresh and tasty. For our main courses we went with the Linguine and Clams in a white sauce, a Shrimp stuffed with Lobster meat and a Classic Fish and Chips. For dessert we shared the Crème Brûlée. All in all an excellent evening with great food and an amazing view (I would suggest coming when it's bright enough to enjoy the view.) Fellow YELPERS this is definitely a must visit place for special occasions! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!

This place was amazing! Our server was Yves and he was the best! So friendly and made our time there very enjoyable! Ordered drinks and apps, the hamachi was incredible, also loved the tuna tartare, the octopus and the short rib empanada which was on special! We would love to come back and try the entrees!

Moved to the area 3 yrs ago and just discovered this place. We've been looking for a nicer dining experience on the water and all we've found so far is average at best, like JBs in Deerfield. Well this could be the answer. Right on the beach in quiet Highland Bch. Had coconut shrimp app, fish dinner and seafood pasta. Excellent. Service was excellent even though it was packed. Going again. Highly recommend and if the breeze is blowing off the water sit outside. Fantastic

This is a beautiful restaurant, with a very cozy poolside bar, upscale dining room, and a breathtaking ocean view on a terrace. Food was great, all dishes are unique, fresh and flavorful. We had a table on a terrace and really enjoyed our dinner. But this review is mostly about people that work there. All the things this restaurant provides would mean nothing without great people. Professionalism, honesty, and passion for serving others is a key to success. We had dinner with friends and then went back home to Miami. After 30 minutes on the road, my girlfriend realized that her engagement ring is missing. We called the restaurant immediately, screaming, panicking, asking if someone found the ring. The hostess was very polite, despite my tone and emotions, she was very calm and professional. She got all the information from us and asked to call back in a few minutes. We called back, nobody found it. She explained to me steps that she took to help us and asked if i want to speak to the manager. We were driving back already. Once we arrived, we met the manager, Maribel Baxter. She was very helpful, she asked us about all possible information. She talked to every employee that was passing by the hostess stand. She called to housekeeping, front desk. Everybody was so nice to us. Someone brought water to my girlfriend, someone gave her tissues, our waitress went to the table and looked on the floor. It really made us feel better, someone said "think positive" but i already gave up on the ring. We were living already when the miracle happened. Maribel told us that one of the waitresses find a ring on the floor in the bathroom. She asked us to describe the ring and then gave it to us. It was one of the happiest moments ever. It's been 2 weeks since it happened, but I still couldn't believe that were able to get the ring back. Thinking about what happened, and how it was handled by Maribel and her team, makes me feel so grateful

What a gem Latitudes is. I have been many times for happy hour drinks and food at the outdoor bar, and dinner inside a few times. Ambiance is top notch with a classy look and you can't beat the ocean views. Service is attentive and friendly by well trained staff, mixology is excellent and there is nothing on the menu that is not fantastic. You can't go wrong on a date night here. M-

I love the view of Latitudes! My first few times I didn't love what I got, so maybe just an off day, but the last few times we have gone, it's been great! I decided to try out their burger and I was extremely surprised on how delicious it was! Definitely one of the best I've ever had! I had to order it again a few days later! The staff has always been great to us, we always bring our three little kids with us and it's always nice to see staff that's nice to your kids! They give out bread in the beginning of the meal as well. If you're looking for a great view of the ocean and great food. This is definitely the place for you.

Great service and food is always on point! Its our favorite restaurant in town and we often do staycations here. Everything we eat here is so good. We also often meet family at the jupiter resort owner by opal. Always great service and so much fun. Their chilean sea bass is to fie for. What i love about this place, is that every different type of fish is cooked to perfection. Every bite is delicious and the fish is cooked so perfect that you dont need a sauce or anything because the flavor is so perfect. Crab encrusted sea bass ftw! In addition, they messed up my order for the first time today. Twice in a row and i aint even mad. The service is so quick and legit, and the food so good, that it makes me super happy when i eat it and im completely happy with these guys. They run a legit top notch business. Much appreciated Lattirudes! Also this is the first time i got bottom floor beach front and it comes with a small den with tv and pullout bed. Perfect view on the beach to where we dont even need to walk to the beach.! When i think of paradise, this is it! And my mom used to live on St. Thomas redhooks bay and st john.

It's such a beautiful ocean front restaurant! Valet parking only for $10. There is indoor and outdoor seating and service was very good. We were there for lunch and had the crab melt sandwich and lobster salad. Both were delicious! We will definitely be back again soon and highly recommend this restaurant.

Food is very if! My sandwich had no taste, just plain, in a bad bread, fries were good. Service was not good too, server was in a hurry! That's very annoying! On my way out I stopped by the bar and I asked for some water for my water bottle, the guy gave me the look, I poured the water with the worst attitude ever, Jose could just be nicer. I won't ever come back, and I'll give my feedback to my friends since I live in the area. Place is beautiful, by the ocean and company was amazing, it saved the day! I wish there was zero star!

Will return. We stopped by for a late night drink and dessert bec dinner at another place wasn't too good. This is a pretty classy place with courteous maitre d' who really made the day for me, and good table serving staff is good too. They're on the beach with indoor and outdoor sections, and a bar near the hotel kidney shaped pool. We've vegetable soup and tiramisu: the soup tastes great tomato sweet; tiramisu is ok. We later moved to the bar for more drinks. One of the bar tenders folds utensils into the napkins. I never give much thought to it - who does it. "How many do you do? Part of your job?" "Yes... about 2 to 300 a day." Learned one more thing. Thanks. Their bathroom doors use Vacant/Occupied sign, which is great ... trust me, so many public bathrooms don't use it. You go push every freaking door or wait there patiently... until someone behind you, suggests that stall is empty. Valet parking is $10.

Absolutely delightful dining experience. Went to celebrate a dear friend's 70th bday. We had the rustic seafood stew OMG seriously amazing. Filled with all sorts of delicious seafood treasures. The broth was perfect. Hubby had steak which he raved about. The birthday chocolate cake was outstanding. Only meh was the crème brule, kind of runny and not up to a crème brule lover's standards. Service was great. View is beyond beautiful. Loved the evening and the food!

First of all, the setting is amazing. Sitting on the beach at sunset! The food was fantastic and the team were all delightful.

Poor service and food wasn't very good. Been here a few times now and the food and service is truly mediocre. The setting is nice but unfortunately the service and food overshadow all else.

One of the best, South Florida restaurants I've been to. Stunning, setting overlooking the sand and the waves, food was expertly prepared, wine was excellent and not unduly overpriced.

Highly recommend Latitudes for anyone looking for a great ocean view restaurant. Rumor has it this spot is a frequent favorite of Adam Sandler. Gorgeous area at the Delray Sands resort. The staff were so gracious and kind to us while we celebrated a birthday brunch. Love the diversity of seafood options. Great for groups and families. Plenty of ocean view seating inside and outside. Thank you to Ed for his wonderful service.

Have to admit this turned out to be a hidden gem. We stopped in for lunch and the view was absolutely beautiful. The service was great and we never had to wait for anything. This was a very relaxing time and we enjoyed every minute. We do plan to Plana weekend getaway and stay over a couple nights at the attached resort. Glad we found this place.

This is a gem that has to be preserved by all means. As I've heard, 50 years ago, all the East Coast of Florida was full of small hotels and motels of this kind right on the beach. Well, this place, The Sands hotel with its restaurant called Latitudes make a unique place in the Boca - Delray area called Highlands. Although the building has definitely some old but strong bones, everything looks modern, spotless and brand new. Food is great. I started with the Poke Tuna which was great, then my second choice was the Surf and Turf. The steak was cooked to perfection, and maybe the best steak I had all year. It must be said that I've tried a few famous steak places and I was not so impressed as I was at the Latitudes. The server was very prompt, well trained and friendly. We had such a perfect time on a late afternoon in a wonderful spot.

The location can't be beat. Great views of the beach. The food and service were both terrific. Our server was sharp and professional. I liked the bread basket. The place is known for seafood, and yet their chicken entrée was excellent too. I will be back! Note: parking is by valet and costs $10; the only alternative is to walk over or take car service. There is no public parking nearby.

We stopped by on a Thursday night without a reservation and were able to get a table outside right away. It was a bit chilly out and it was nice that they had outdoors heaters. Beautiful oceanfront view! Fast service and delicious food. Loved our yellow tail hamachi appetizer. Seafood trio was delicious, veggies cooked perfectly too.

Went for lunch with my close friends to celebrate a 75th birthday- what an awesome place! Ambiance both inside and outside totally gorgeous! The service was excellent -Thanks to Anna and PJ -and we don't want for anything . Was so happy we ordered the grilled octopus appetizer- very fresh and yummy ( reminded me of being in Portugal)! Was so special that the restaurant offered a complimentary super luxurious chocolate birthday cake for all to share ! Will definitely be coming back with more friends!

Food and service were excellent. We came to celebrate our engagement and the restaurant manager and waiter were extremely accommodating. I highly recommend the beef tenderloin. As others have noted valet is $10 and is not validated by the restaurant (I think this is a bit of a gimmick) but by far nicest restaurant in the area.

Date of Visit: January 8, 2023 Ordered: (App) Crispy Point Judith Calamari - 4/5 - Very crispy. Tasted good with the sauce. (App) Grilled Octopus - 4/5 - Well cooked and seasoned. Went well with the potatoes. (App) Maine Lobster and Shrimp Style Scampi - 5/5 - Best dish of the meal. Very light but packed incredible flavors. Could probably return just for this dish. Note- the dish was split into two different bowls. The amount served is double that in the picture. (Main) Lobster Roll - 4/5 - Huge amount of lobster that was lightly seasoned. (Main) Branzino - 4/5 -Very light fish that was seasoned well. Ordered the lemon caper sauce with it which was good. The risotto was redundant. (Main) Crab Melt - 4/5 - Good amount of meat and avocados, but had to assemble yourself (was some form of deconstructed). Very nice atmosphere. The waiter was very friendly and moderately attentive.

I came to Latitudes for lunch with my wife and Aunt on a Thursday afternoon. FYI, it was valet only, not self park. We were seated right along the window along the beach and it was relatively dead inside which was kind of nice. I enjoyed the restaurant itself as it was clean, nice and cool, and seemed nice. We ordered the calamari as an app, the chicken pita thing, and the blackened mahi sandwich. All of it was really, really good. The blackened mahi was the catch of the day and was great.

This restaurant was always my go to favorite place. The staff and scenery still great... WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FOOD. Lobster roll served on a stale hard as a rock hotdog roll; fish is chips is ALL BATTER with a morsel of a resemblance of fish; $10.00 to park (plus tip) It's just not worth going to anymore.
