During my last visit back nearing the end of 2025, I was closely shadowed by an associate the entire time. I’ve shopped here multiple times and have purchased from the store before (was even wearing military trousers purchased from there upon my last visit.)
Even after I mentioned that I was a returning customer, the tone I received felt skeptical and unnecessary, as if I needed to prove myself.
In the many times I’ve shopped here before, customer service has been genuinely helpful and has allowed me the space to browse without being constantly followed...yeah, that contrast is what made this experience stand out in the worsttttt way.
Latre's experience crossed from great customer service into discomfort. It made me question whether this kind of surveillance is a new standard practice, or selectively applied based on their staff's assumptions about who they think belongs in the space (...like are curvier or not conventionally skinny people allowed to wear cool clothes too? lmao y'all are too funny.)
For a shop that trades on craft, heritage, and thoughtfulness, the in-store experience should reflect that same care. I doubt management will address this, which is disappointing but unsurprising.
