Where to Eat At William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), May 2022 | Eater Houston
"A Mexican‑kitchen concept that opened an airport location as part of the post-2023 overhaul, contributing another regional flavor option for travelers." - Brittany Britto Garley
I just enjoyed a chicken taco bowl. The service was quick. I placed my order and within 3 minutes, I had a freshly made meal. The food was hot, fresh, pleasing to look at, and tasty too the chicken appeared to be wholesome not filled or rubbery. The corn, tomatoes, and lettuce was fresh and not limp. Wish I had taken a pic but I forgot. If you are searching for a healthy low carb option, this fits the bill.
Enjoy.

The chef forms a comforting, scrumptious, and satisfying light breakfast burrito that leaves a craving. I wish I had a better photo.
They make a yummy and hearty steak version in a fresh tortilla with good portions of egg, creamy cheese, and simple salsa. I wish the burrito was one and a half size. Also, I wish to find similar, wonderful breakfast in more cities. 🥚 🥩 🧀 🍅 🧅

For an airport, it was a lotta food, that’s the only reason not giving them 1 star review. Scrambled eggs didn’t look or taste fresh. And the bacon was gross. See the video I took. And then I begged the lady that handed me the food for salsa and all she gave me was packaged Chalupa sauce. I don’t know why they don’t have fresh pico or salsa. Maybe it was a language barrier, but she didn’t seem to care either way. I sure miss Pappasitos.

I wish I would’ve read the reviews before coming here. HORRIBLE! I got a sausage as well a bacon breakfast taco and didn’t take more than one bit from each. The sausage one was SO GREASY and everything lacked flavor! The bacon had a funny smell to it and just wasn’t good. THEN, I asked for salsa and was told “no” and pointed to a bin with Cholula hot sauce. I didn’t want hot sauce on a breakfast taco, I wanted salsa! I have never, ever been to a Mexican establishment that serves breakfast tacos with no salsa. Of course I know they have salsa, it’s the fact I was refused any. Had I known that, I would’ve never ordered breakfast tacos to begin with. First and last trip here, ever. Truly an awful experience!

Guacamole and chips was the only vegetarian option. The chips bag was huge but the quality was underwhelming. Guacamole was pretty much Avacado and didn’t have much flavor to it. You love Chipotle, this place will disappoint you.

What a complete downgrade from the previous restaurant that was at this location for a long, long time. I came to Hobby for an early morning flight. This and Starbucks were pretty much the only places open. Has a similar menu to the previous tenant, but that is where the similarities stop. The food here was bad. I ordered the sausage breakfast burrito. Has eggs, potatoes, beans, and sausage. The burrito was mostly watery beans and had no flavor whatsoever. Came with a small condiment cup only half full of salsa. Wouldn’t have mattered if it was full, it is was not good. Had a funky flavor. Had to resort to add Cholula. Find someplace else to eat if you can. Looking at the selection of new places, you most likely will run into the same problem.

Do not eat here! Poorly run, poorly managed which has caused the quality to decline, especially compared to the previous restaurant we all loved. Why would you ever allow a cook to be on their phone on the clock in front of customers? They clearly don’t care! Avoid at all costs.

Margarita was terrible, tasted like pure lime juice, no tequila for $17.
Quesadilla was very basic. Meat wasn't seasoned well. Nice portion
Came out in reasonable time for airport.

Yelp
decent airport food court food! Quick service. The taco was a little chinsy but it was tasty!

Yelp
I had a morning flight to catch and also skipped breakfast. As soon as I went through TSA checkpoint, I found a food court. This restaurant caught my attention, I love breakfast by the way. Checked out the prices, wasn't sure if the portions were worth the price so I went with the breakfast taco. It was pretty meaty and no skimp on eggs either. The hot sauce is right on the counter as well. Order at the counter and move down to the pick up counter. It takes about a minute for them to call out your number. The restaurant was well lit and colorful, clean, and friendly service. Seating is available in the food court.

Yelp
Recently opened at Hobby, replacing Papasitos. Prices overall a bit lower than Papsitos. Had the steak fajitas plate. The steak was tender and good quality, but could have used more marinade time. Charro beans were top notch, and Spanish rice was very good. Nice mound of lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and pico, but does not include guacamole.

Yelp
The food here is greasy and lacks any flavor. They need a good Tex-Mex place that better represents the excellent food of Houston. This not it!!!!

Yelp
Service was kind, food was bad. I got a ground beef taco salad bowl and it was awful.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place a zero star, but I don't think I could leave a review. Go anywhere else in Hobby AirPort. The service is terrible the food is sub-par and an embarrassment to Houston food culture. It's a shame the City of Houston kicked Pappasitos out of this spot, they are great. Complaints: at lunch on Sunday 1 register of 3 open, the young lady was so slow its was seemingly intentional, one of the slovenly staff was cussing loudly in the kitchen; and we ordered a chilli con queso for $5 and tortillas for $3and came with no chips! Was I supposed to scoop up with my fingers in Hobby Airport? Certainly not a brand or culture ambassador we deserve standing at the international entry gates to our great city and state.
