Uddingston has its fair share of cafes and restaurants but most of them are stuck in a time warp. Latteria is not. Hands down the best iced latte around and if you enjoy hot coffee, you’ll be equally delighted. Perfectly proportioned, with oat milk for an alt-dairy option, you’ll enjoy whichever version of barista coffee you prefer. The menu is limited, but this is a major plus! A perfect option for breakfast, brunch or lunch can be found. My personal favourite is the smashed avo toast, which is served with halloumi and eggs and a wee smidgeon of hot sauce for the obligatory piquant. But, really, you could select anything and be well-chuffed. You’ll enjoy the friendliest of service by the best in town, and if atmosphere is important to you, you’ll find the music on-point and non-obtrusive. The hustle and bustle is lively and a sign of popularity. Bear in mind, you might find it the toatiest wee bit chilly in winter, so wear your sheepskin and your wool-it’s the price you pay for the door opening and closing for customers relieved to find a coffee shop/eaterie that isn’t stuck in the 70’s 😊
