Latvian National Opera

Beautiful building by the river with stunning architecture and interior decorations and great quality shows. They display some impressive artwork too. They have a cafe and kiosk to buy snacks during the intervals.

Quite beautiful and I strongly recommend to buy tickets to "Faust"! Though be careful with seats you choose. Depending on which side you are on second floor you may not be able to see parts of the act sometimes.

That was an impulse visit that was grand! We watched a ballet, and the orchestra was spectacular, the scene and atmosphere incredible and the dancers were absolutely amazing! The venue in itself is very beautiful and nicely decorated. It has a coat room and a bar with very delicious snacks.

Lovely Opera house with incredibly good value tickets (at least for anyone coming from London). Saw the ballet of Dracula. Worth seeing.

Cozy opera with good sound, and good prices, the programme is interesting, Macbeth was amazing. Definitely recommend going when in Riga.

Not the most lavish of buildings but the singing, sets and costumes are wonderful. Also, it has to be the cheapest opera ticket I’ve ever bought, and we’re in the front row of the stalls. Perfect seats.

Wow, this is a lovely cosy theatre we saw Faust, and it was marvellous. The seats are a bit hard on the bum, but it is worth it to see the performance,and the staff are lovely and friendly.

During show taking pictures 📸 is not allowed. But in general, it's nice to return to this place where time freezes and it is the same as 20 years ago.
