"Chef Fanny Rey is at the helm of this grand old Auberge located on the beltway and the old ramparts of this pretty town. She cooks up tasty market cuisine that spotlights Alpilles produce beautifully. By her side is her partner Jonathan Wahid (brother of Sylvestre), an experienced pastry chef and previous French dessert champion – he knows just how to showcase the delicious sun-drenched produce of the South, such as figs. The food is served in a designer interior: white ceiling imitating a wave, and bare stone walls." - Michelin Inspector

"Not only is Fanny Rey an accomplished chef, she also spent six months in the Navy. She then went to work at Two-Starred l'Espadon Ritz in Paris and then at Three-Star (and Green Star) l'Oustau de Baumanière in Baux-de-Provence. In 2011, she was on Top Chef alongside , Stéphanie Le Quellec, and the following year she and her partner, pastry chef Jonathan Wahid, took over Auberge de la Reine Jeanne in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. A restaurant worth visiting. Great food - the menu is limited but the food is exceptional and delicious! Service was very attentive and a delightful romantic evening setting. Beautiful courtyard with a central water feature and hanging parasols and soft lighting. Worth a visit!

On windy days, it's strongly advised not to sit outdoor terrace because the strong winds can blow sand onto the food, even affecting the water in glasses. The restaurant's response was that they only had outdoor seating available, priced at €95 per person. If you wanted to sit indoors, the minimum spending requirement was €200 per person. Therefore, in unfavorable weather conditions, it's really worth considering your options. We paid for the water that had sand in it, at €10 per bottle, and ended up paying for a total of 8 bottles. This was a very unpleasant dining experience.

We stayed here for a girls trip- 3 of us and we had a wonderful time at L'Auberge de Saint-Remy. Our wifi was weak in the room but the host promptly addressed our concerns and provided an area where I can work. Pros: there is a parking availalble a short walk through the alley behind the hotel. LOVE the seating in the court yard. Location can't be beat- really centrally located. And the weekly market is just across the street. Staff is super welcoming and friendly, despite my not being able to speak any French. Communication to reserve was prompt and accurate. Cons: NONE! Would definitely recommend this place to stay and I will definitely stay here again when I return to St. Remy!

Great place with very good service and attentive staff. The restaurant is excellent, we had an amazing culinary experience. The only thing it lacks is a pool; especially during hot summers and for the price you are paying, it should be a must. Also, you have to wait for a bit for warm water in the shower...The beds were ok and the rooms were well equipped. Overall a great stay, and we were impressed by the very good service, which seems to be a rarity these days in most places in France.

The rooms were modern, spacious and had wonderful amenities. The courtyard is a lovely oasis and at night the courtyard restaurant was fun. The highlight was Nadia (whom I believe is the manager). She made us feel very welcome at outset (we were a group of 10 ranging in age from toddlers to seniors) and got us all setup. She ensured that the toddlers were well looked after and even brought some toys for them! Every day she would casually ask what we we had planned and offered some suggestions as well which we followed. Some of the items we would not have found through the typical blogs or guidebooks. Definitely made our stay in the area that much better. Definitely will look to go back to stay there again. Only drawbacks are that there is no elevator if you have accessibility issues and the water temperature can be variable (but that is expected for the region).

We needed to travel in the off season and stayed here. We received a warm welcome from the owner, Our room was spacious, very comfortable bed, quiet with a nice modern decor. The staff is wonderful and so helpful. Breakfast was a feast prepared just for us as the restaurant was closed. They also offered to prepare dinner for us one night and it was the most unforgettable experience. To dine alone in that beautiful dining room with food prepared just for us by Fanny Rey was incredible!||We cannot wait to return!

We ate 10th of August. This was the fourth time we ate at this restaurant. In the previous 3 we had an amazing experience. Unfortunately, the latter did not go well. We were placed in the new upper part of the room, where it felt a little warm. This combined with the three and a half hours of dinner (!!!!!) have created dissatisfaction. At the beginning of the dinner we were asked for allergies and unwanted foods. Unfortunately one of the courses was with an unwelcome food. The waitress understood immediately and with embarrassment she took the dishes back. But the most embarrassing thing was that we were brought back without the unwelcome food that was the heart of the course: what never seen in a starry !!! They made up for it by offering us another dish. In general, for 200 € / head (beverages excluded) we ate 7 courses prepared and presented very very well, but in the end we ate: tomato, aubergine, beetroot, a few mussels and a piece of fish as big as an index finger covered by courgette flowers. The service too needs improvement (as well as air conditioning), we often had to ask for water, wine and bread. Last year at the end we were given the souvenir menu of what we ate (the menu is a surprise! You do not know it in advance) together with a small present. This year nothing and perhaps it is better this way to forget this expensive misadventure.

We checked in with no issues as the establishment was small and left very little room for confusion. It’s full so you take what’s available with gratitude.||The bed is clean, towels and soap are proper. There’s a bottle of water, the air conditioner works, the hair dryer dries. Basic and correct.||||Thé breakfast is simple- bread, butter and jam. A couple of croissants, you need to ask for more but there’s a possibility that they have none. There’s a plate with 2 slices of cured meat, that’s 1 per person and several morsels of local cheese- goats cheese. Another dairy offering is a 2 generous tablespoons of fromage blanc - think Greek yogurt and it’s sprinkled with a few well grilled almond slices and laced with a little honey. The fruit bowl is simple, cut up apples and some other fruit. ||If repetitive breakfasts does not agree, inform them at least 24 hours before so there’s a possibility of arranging for something else. All else failing, you can venture out for a different breakfast of various viennoiseries from any of the lovely cafes just steps away. ||Use repellent if mosquitoes or flies bother. Breakfast mornings amongst the cascading jasmines come with some unwanted insects. The orchestra of cicadas stay mainly away from room..||There isn’t a designated car park lot for guests. The public car park available is within walking distance from the hotel covering some gravel paths and uneven ways. The single slot in front of the hotel meant for off loading might be occupied by delivery men of other shops along the narrow yet busy street.||Thé restaurant in the establishment is a one-star restaurant. Reservations are necessary. Inform them about your tastes, because their focus is local produce- think goats cheese. They are casual as the other guests were in shorts and slipper, no frills on both sides. ||||This establishment is full all year round. Be grateful that there’s place.
