Auberge Le Prieuré

"On the road between Bordeaux and Toulouse, in the heart of a tiny picturesque village near Agen, this country inn occupies a centuries-old stone house, whose terrace, shaded by ancient plane trees, faces a Clunisian priory founded in the 11C. A former consort of Michel Trama of Puymirol, chef Benjamin Toursel has forged his own distinctive modern style, scattered with bold, creative notes that frequently surprise the diner: mouth-wateringly juicy red tuna with a wasabi made out of roses, rhubarb and rose geranium; rack of veal, raw and cooked carrots and nasturtium-flavoured béarnaise. A priory devoted to fine dining…" - Michelin Inspector

Excellent dining experience with beautifully decorated dishes. From starter to desserts, I could taste the original mild flavors of ingredients all harmoniously. The meringue desserts with curry flavor was amazingly delicious.

Quite the exquisite setting with a sumptuous menu. I wish I could remember each course with the delicate sauce, herbs and spices to compliment each dish. The amuse bouche served between each was also unique and enjoyable.Do treat yourself!

Lovely little restaurant, great food, friendly staff. Price is what you’d expect from a one star Michelin restaurant. Would happily go again.

Fantastic food. Very interesting and unusual but clever flavour combinations. Charming service. The hostess was very professional in her wine recommendations and forgiving of our imperfect French, but respectful of our attempts to not revert to English. A beautiful garden seating area, and we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience.

Oh my goodness. I don't have enough words. This restaurant was amazing. Visited with friends and we ate outside. The food was spectacular, and the views from around the restaurant breathtaking. Was so busy enjoying our set lunch menu forgot to take pictures! The staff were lovely and realising my French was very limited, explained all of our courses in English. Couldn't fault it.

Absolutely faultless. We go here every year on holiday and are never disappointed. It’s a highlight of our trip that we look forward to each year. There is nothing that does not delight, from the food, to the service to the ambiance. Parfait 👌

A hidden gem of a restaurant, a culinary experience that will make you regret not coming earlier to try Benjamin and Agathe Toursel's cuisine. Not only are the prices extremely fair, the level of freshness, the beauty of the setup, the subtle yet on point wine pairing offered by Agathe, the simple yet creative dishes that mesmerize the ingredients, the list goes on and on, worth the detour. Im crying I had to cancel my reservation this summer due to covid travel restrictions.
