I know this review will carry more weight than those who gave perfect stars. This is honest from someone who spent 8 months total in this cowork space and who is unwilling to finish. Im a writer so this could get lengthy.
If you're gonna put your livelihood on the line -- you need good reviews. Launchpad is not a restaurant, you need to know what it is.
First thing to know is that It is full to the brim! Crammed in fact. So it means it is good right? Read below to see why it is full (clue: not bc it is great). The main problem is that this lack of space bleeds and turns into conflict between users. If you stay here long enough, you will know why a lack of shared working space becomes a point of tension.
The Photos here online are not accurate as they reduced that space to less than half the size. You will get 5 tables to choose from, which can only sit 2 comfortably, which you will share with a "regular" who might glare at you for taking their spot. It gets awkward. It might not happen all the time, but it does.
I have a 6 month contract here and im trying to get a refund bc even if i tried i cant do my work here anymore. This is my livelihood i have put at risk in launchpad. There is so much tension here and cliquey -- that its a challenge to get my work done. Ive been client of other coworking space here and overseas and it never got this bad. Realize that A lack of space brings out the worst in people.
Most of the people here work for outsourced bpo's. i would say a good 75% is a bpo worker with a foreign boss. Nothing wrong with that. But you will not meet entreprenuers here. The solo freelancers have long gon to quieter places. They have to. Fact is you will need to have strong concentration to be able to do any type of intellectual work here. If you dont have a choice, i feel bad for you.
Maybe this was a good place in the past. But they went down the Regus-like type path. Such a pity because it had so much potential.
When is launchpad good? Launchpad is excellent for certain things. If you need to put people who work for you in a place, this is good for you. Business wise, Its more of a place to put employees, but not for you to work -- if that makes sense. If you are an artist/freelancer/solo-entrepreneur who need dedicated place to practice your craft, its not good for that. Unless you go on saturday or pay for the early pass and just basically claim a table as yours before anyone gets in. Ummm. To end this, try it out first maybe three days but really think about long term lease.
Internet is fast. The admins are cool. Nice parking. Nothing against this place, but not a single bad review written here and it needs one. Its not a restaurant. Or is it? I hope them the best
