"The Laundry is both charming and rustic-chic with an intimate evening appeal for happy-hour drinkers and those in search of the ultimate night cap. Not only are the cocktails strong, but the small bites are worth ordering. Fun fact: The space was in fact Steamboat Laundry from 1910-1970." - Josie Sexton, Lucy Beaugard

We love Laundry. This place is so good. We’ve been twice. Their happy hour menu is so great. Food we loved: fried chicken, salad, pimento cheese dip Food we liked: shoestring fries, brisket potatoes Service: We were sat in a place that was so convenient for our family. Everyone was incredibly helpful and attentive. Our waters were always filled and extra plates cleared. We had our toddler with us and he was made to feel welcome. No sour feelings of having a young child in their restaurant. Every time we are in Steamboat we will make a point of coming back to Laundry.

❤️ Overview: I would say this is probably my favorite restaurant to eat at while I’m in Steamboat and I always try to at least come once. The food is amazing, the staff are super friendly, and the ambiance is wonderful. The main dining area is nice and where I prefer to be seated. They also use the restaurant next door for additional seating. The food here is super good. There isn’t a thing I’ve gotten, that I didn’t love. Overall, this is a must go to place if you visit steamboat. ❤️What has been ordered: FOOD: panzanella salad, homemade pasta, salmon crudo, pork belly, pork cheeks, mac n cheese (probably other dishes that I can’t think of haha 🤣) ❤️Stand outs: Panzanella salad, pork belly, salmon crudo ❤️Would I come back/recommend: Yes - I would come back (again and again) Yes - I would highly recommend

Google
Amazing dining experience! We did the chefs choice 5 course meal and were not disappointed. Creative menu and dishes with a wonderful combination of flavors. The wait staff was prompt and attentive. The portions, especially considering it is a 5 course meal, were perfect for two to split. All around great experience well worth the money. Total price was about $300 including tip and two alcoholic drinks. I would highly recommend the chefs choice to anyone looking for an unforgettable and fun dining experience.

LOVED this place! Trendy, chilled vibe with a nice varied menu. We tried all the sharing plates which were fantastic. Highlights are the pork cheeks and brisket.

Google
First dinner for us in Steamboat Springs! Fabulous menu, drink options and vibe. Wife and I ordered 4 shareable plates: panzanella, pow pow shrimp, tuna poke and beef brisket. Highly recommend.

Google
We've had multiple meals here and they just never disappoint. This trip we had the bison carpaccio(2 orders) and the addition of "deviled eggs" this year was just next level. If you see the crispy potatoes on the menu, order them, so good. The duck duo and salmon crudo slapped too! Our server was great, he put up with our bad jokes and was very helpful attentive. Laundry is legit!

Google
One of our very favorite places to dine! Always delicious and consistent. Sharable dishes are well timed from drinks to dessert and coffee. A "Must Do" on your trip to Steamboat!

Google
We had read so many wonderful reviews about Laundry and we were so excited to try it. This restaurant did not disappoint! We ordered the amazing beet salad with a gorgonzola fondue dressing, crispy potatoes (recommended by the lovely brunch staff next door that morning!), popcorn shrimp, and pork buns! Every bite of every entree was extraordinary. Unique flavors, beautifully presented, and truly memorable. We ordered fun non-alcoholic drinks--ginger beer and magic carpets for our kids. And DESSERT--holy smokes, we had coconut cream pie and bread pudding. Quite possibly the best desserts we have ever had. Learned that the kitchen has a full time (and clearly very talented) pastry chef. Jordan was our server and we had so many laughs with him. He gave great recommendations, was so super friendly and prompt. What I loved was how he knelt down so he was at eye level with us explaining the menu and taking our order. He and the wait staff cleared and replaced our plates and silverware after every course which was truly appreciated. Jordan was just the best. Thank you for a super memorable dinner in Steamboat Springs. We will DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

Yelp
Enjoyed the food, service, and seating by the creek. The happy hour is a great way to sample menu items.

Yelp
Laundry in Steamboat Springs is a standout for happy hour! We had an amazing time, especially thanks to our server, Ryan, who was fantastic--super attentive and helpful. The sesame pickles, shoestring fries, and fried chicken appetizers were all top-notch. Each dish was bursting with flavor and made happy hour feel like a gourmet experience. We grabbed an outside spot by Soda Creek, which was a great choice for a warm June evening. The creekside view added a relaxing vibe to the meal. The menu here is definitely the best in town, offering a unique, city-like dining experience right in Steamboat. Highly recommend checking it out!

Yelp
We had a less than desirable experience at Laundry, but brought it to the manager's attention and it was resolved to our satisfaction. The plates are yummy, btw, but the recommendation of 2 small plates per person is excessive because the plates are not small. Our issue was with the noise level. It was as loud as a Rolling Stones concert without music. After the first small plate-enough for a meal for 2 people, I mentioned to my daughter and son-in-law that I couldn't bear the noise level. My son-in-law agreed and sought out our waiter, who brought it to the manager's attention. She came to our table, apologized profusely for the noise. Due to a rainstorm, they moved a bachelorette party and another large party inside. She asked us what would make us happy and we told her getting the rest of our order, including a bottle of wine to go. We walked down to the river, found a bench, and enjoyed our Neal. The manager discounted our meal 30%.

Yelp
Visited on a Sunday night during July. 7pm reservation was apparently early because the place wasn't hopping until we left after 8. Our server knew the menu and drinks inside and out. The food runners were also knowledgeable. My husband and I got 4 small plates. The first was a beef in lettuce wrap and was great! After that they went downhill. I was pretty disappointed given the hype I'd heard about this place. The artichoke was a fried ball, that's all I can remember. The hash was pretty dry, it really needed more melted goat cheese. The steak tips were unremarkable. Probably won't go back. I found it to be a little to pretentious for me. Glad I know now.

Ram G.

Yelp
The Service is amazing from the front door to the table and beyond. There's excellent outdoor seating that is dog friendly AF. Killer vibes and food.

Mary H.

Yelp
The food at the Laundry is always good and creative. The drinks are also unique. We experienced a "pause" in service after we were seated. The hostess noticed this error and quickly remedied it by pouring water and taking our drinks and appetizer orders. After that, the rest of the evening went well. We enjoyed visiting with both hostesses and my husband and I were full on our two small plates each. We had calamari to start, Pow-Pow, lettuce wraps, Tomato Duo special, and Tagliatelle pasta dish. The only photo I took was of the Tomato Duo. It was amazing!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and absolutely the best food we had during our trip to Steambot and will be definitely back again!!! The only catch is you have to out down $25 per person to make a reservation and if you have someone in your group who is too laid back, it might cause you to have acid in your stomach if they take their sweet time getting ready to go there. The smokey ribeye medium was soooooo delicious with the potatoes. We ordered 6 appetizers and rib eye as main dish and 5 desserts for a group of six people. We could have ordered another rib eye and less dessert's. Does anyone know why some restaurants are called Laundry?!?!?!

Regan F.

Yelp
I thought the food here was exceptional. I was here on the off season so it was relatively empty and the staff was very attentive. It's a small charming restaurant, and every time I've tried to make a reservation previously it's been booked up. Absolutely worth the wait to try it. I ended up going twice in the week I was in town. They infuse their own liquors and have wonderful cocktails, seems like a great place to stop in for happy hour! The highlights were the Panzanella and the sticky toffee pudding

Yelp
Food 4 stars Happy hour and drinks 5 stars Service 1 star We really enjoyed our dinner and drinks but very much felt like we were inconveniencing Tall Tom by being sat in his section. I even tried to flip the script and remind him that we used to run in the same circles but it didn't seem to matter. We were rushed through our meal even though there were long periods of time we sat with nothing in front of us. This was insult to injury because we easily could have finished if we had been able to order. We might come in for another evening and sit at the bar, or try to get another waiter but it was unfortunate that we spent over $200 and had a bad experience because of the customer service. Talking with other locals, this has happened to them as well.

Wendy M.

Yelp
Really enjoyed an early dinner with the parents to celebrate milestone birthdays. The waitstaff were happy to seat us creekside and the view was amazing - as was the food. Staff were incredibly attentive but not so much that we felt it. My only reservation was pricing. We've eaten in many amazing places and have always been happy to pay accordingly. I feel like portions with Laundry weren't on par with pricing. We had two small plates and two large plates for a party of four. Large plates were right at $70. We left wanting more but decided we'd grab dessert elsewhere. Maybe it's being in Steamboat? Our home base is Denver and comparable dining options in felt a little less pricy. Either way, if money isn't an object, definitely go. If money is a consideration, Laundry is special treat, date night worthy.

John L.

Yelp
Still by far my favorite restaurant in Steamboat. All the veggies were so good. My kids don't usually love veggies but one said the baby kale salad was their favorite dish and another said the roasted beet salad was their favorite dish. The smoked dishes were excellent. The crispy potatoes were perfectly crispy. The dessert was also special. The sticky banana pudding and pot de creme. The ambiance is very nice but not pretentious. The service is top notch. I highly recommend getting a bunch of small plates to share.

David G.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance all excellent! Laundry never disappoints! From the front to the back and a wonderful bartender from Kentucky in between all was wonderful. Thank you for a great night out!

Richard K.

Yelp
Had a great experience here. Had the chef's choice dinner for two, unique, flavorful, creative. Nice attentive service. Highly recommend for a special occasion in Steamboat Springs. The happy hour specials seem very popular.

Clayton B.

Yelp
Went for dinner. Great small plate place that has not so small plates. I've ate here 4 or 5 times and it never disappoints. We love to sit outside by the stream when weather permits.

Correy H.

Yelp
Unfortunately I didn't have a reservations, but I was able to enjoy the bar and their happy hour. The appetizers were fantastic and easily shareable (you could even make it a meal if you order several to share). I'm pretty simple when it comes to mixed cocktail --- but this place has several creative drink options. Stay open minded and try something different. NOTE: I highly recommend a reservation as this place is super popular. We lucked out but I will book next time.

Sam M.

Yelp
Service was wonderful, food was incredible. I would be tempted to give an arm for the pow pow shrimp. Don't even get me started on the rum pudding. My life has been changed, for the better. Thanks Laundry. I'll see you again, I promise. Love, Sam.

Megan C.

Yelp
Cute spot with a unique menu. The drinks were good! The plates were much larger than a typical small plate so I'd recommend ordering fewer. The plates were good but not amazing. Brussels sprouts tasted more burnt than charred. Wedge didn't have a ton of flavor. The pasta and lettuce wraps were very flavorful and yummy.

Cindy D.

Yelp
From the minute we arrived we were welcomed and seated right away. It was explained to us that this was a shared plate restaurant so after lookin g over the menu we chose the Southern Fried Avocado tacos from the happy hour menu and the Panzanela salad and the Crispy Potatoes from the small plate menu. Both were incredibly delicious ! Both small plates were enough for 2 people with leftovers . Wish we were'nt leaving Steamboat bc I would love to go back!

Cara K.

Yelp
10/10 everything about it...we sat at the bar and the gentleman working there gave us some great recommendations and we were so impressed. This is a must go!!! My fiance said it is the best martini he's ever had

Sylvia G.

Yelp
The service and food was amazing .I will always come back here every time I visit. They are open for dinner and change for breakfast at the restaurant in the morning. This was the most amazing place we have eaten at, you will not be disappointing. Can't wait to go back. Sylvia

Phyllis M.

Yelp
Amazing food with wonder "at the bar" service. Our favorite dinner restaurant in Steamboat!

Jenifer C.

Yelp
Laundry was one of the better restaurants Steamboat had to offer. The decor was upscale and quirky. We were seated with no delay when the restaurant opened for dinner, but it did fill up fast. We visited during Mud Season, so I would recommend a reservation any other time. Service, food, and drinks were great. I had the chef's menu and enjoyed each course (the brussels sprout hash was my favorite). The only complaint I have is from the Kids' Menu. My 5 and 9 year old ordered Mac n Cheese, which was clearly Kraft Macaroni. For an upscale restaurant I expected something a little more refined. I recommend for a date night, but skip bringing the kids.

Laura T.

Yelp
Wow Laundry was top notch. We had early reservations at 4:30 but the place was packed! Everything top to bottom was excellent - the menu has a ton of options (everything is family style/shareable) so we shared 3 small plates (the cauliflower, beef brisket and Mac & Cheese) and they were soo delicious. So much flavor, beautiful presentation and pretty prompt service as well. Then we shared the fried chicken as our entree which came with two sauces, pickled veggies and some mashed potatoes with gravy. The chicken inside was moist and flavorful, the crispy exterior wasn't too crispy or thick. And the potatoes were so rich (honestly everything was rich, in a good way). Last, we finished with the apple cobbler which was different than I was expecting! It's really an apple filling over crumbled shortbread which was a little firm (as shortbread is), but the sweetness was just right. The overall ambiance was super cool too - I loved the exposed brick and the fact that it's a historic building that used to actually be a laundry was neat. Definitely would recommend and come back!

Rachel S.

Yelp
This was one of the best meals of my life. It started a bit rocky--they were super busy, and we were seated over 20 minutes late. But the wait was worth it. Also, kudos to the front of restaurant staff for dealing with some super rude people in a nicer way than I could've. We ordered several dishes. The mac and cheese was the best mac n cheese of my life. The pork belly plus the bread it came with were insanely good. Everything we tried was wonderful. In addition, our server was kind and knowledgeable. We will try to come back for another special occasion.

Caleb S.

Yelp
We dined at Laundry during a recent visit to Steamboat and it was our favorite meal by far! The staff was incredible, from the moment we walked in, to our waiter, to the people running dishes from the kitchen. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. Both the cocktails and food were excellent, with really inventive touches that truly made each dish unique (like the sesame powder on the pow pow shrimp!). And the crispy truffle potatoes were unlike anything we've had before - the inside was so creamy and light, while the outside was crisp and caramelized. We'll definitely be back the next time we return!

Jeremy P.

Yelp
We had an 8:15 rez and were seated right on time, despite a pretty packed dining room. Our service was excellent and the food did not disappoint. We ordered small plates... Pork Belly was the star of the show - served with biscuits & some crazy good apple butter. For protein, we also tried the powpow shrimp and carpaccio, both of which were delicious and well balanced. Our meatless selections were the fried artichoke, which was surprising (and somehow fluffy) and the beets. My only complaint here would be for the beets to have more beets... it was more of a beet salad w lots of arugula, but the beets & citrus chunks were delicious and I would have liked them to be a little more prominent. Atmosphere was good for groups or couples, dim enough to be a little romantic, but open enough to not feel like library silence. Probably fine for older, foodie, kids... but I don't think it would be comfortable for younger children.

Gina K.

Yelp
This was my second time at Laundry. I think it may have been better than the first. We were a table of four and we made a reservation a few week ahead of time despite it being the Summer (not Peak season), I would highly recommend making a reservation. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our waiter was a young guy but, he really explain menu items/provided recommendation and answered questions. The stars of the meal were the bison tartare, the potatoes, and the bang bang shrimp. The bang bang Shinto had a process/order in which you were to eat the components that really changed the flavor profile which was and interesting experience. The menu changes so, be sure to experience Laundry at different times of the year. I will definitely be back next time I am in Steamboat.

Chris C.

Yelp
We went here for our 51at anniversary. Our server was superb and the variety of menu choices were significant. Every item we chose was cooked to perfection and we enjoyed the descriptions of the plates as they were served.

Shea T.

Yelp
Amazing! Must go! We sat at the bar and ordered a bottle of red wine. Followed by the steak tips. We even thought about going back the next day. Great atmosphere and everything on the menu sounds amazing. Service was delightful.

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
Pretty good food! Nice atmosphere. Small bites were plenty of food, didn't need to order an entree. Service was ok too. Did his job, wasn't exceptional but he got everything right.

Nicholas P.

Yelp
First time in Steamboat and the Laundry did not disappoint. All of the food and drinks were very delicious. The prices are not super expensive like you might expect at other ski towns with high end restaurants. The service was awesome! Our waiter was very knowledgeable. Our orders of food and drinks came out FAST! The restaurant is housed in an old renovated building with exposed brick which provides a warm ambiance to end a great meal after a long day of skiing. 10/10 would recommend and I'll definitely be returning!

Ian M.

Yelp
This place is exceptional. Great ambiance, really great food and friendly staff. Laundry was recommended by some locals and they were spot on. If you are in Steamboat, make this happen.

Christopher S.

Yelp
This a very upscale and popular restaurant in Steamboat Springs. Managed by a Rockstar Chef, this restaurant serves really good food representative of different regions of the US. From Maryland crab to Colorado bison, lots of unique delicious appetizers and entrees. Foie gras, smoked trout, wagyu bresaola, all kinds of cheese. Wild variety of small plates such as pow pow shrimp, tuna poke, bison carpaccio (wow). The beef ribeye was awesome. Large wine selection and very strong wait staff. Excellent price/value relationship

Amber E.

Yelp
This is hands down our favorite restaurant in Steamboat. We come here every trip; everything is amazing. We had a wonderful dinner here last year w/ Tom as our server, came back again, and was fortunate to get Tom again - everything was exquisite! We ordered 11 dishes between the 7 of us, and loved it all, but our unanimous favorites were: 1. The beer-battered cauliflower in green chili fondue sauce; 2. The pow wow shrimp - crispy spicy shrimp - got 2 of these! 3. The crispy potatoes w/ truffle parmesan, pistachio pesto & aoli; 4. The beet salad w/ arugula and candied pecans; and 5. The bison carpaccio w/ truffle aioli, capers and pickled onion; and 6. The bison special over mashed potatoes w/ cauliflower. Also, tried the pork belly, the lamb special meat balls, and mac 'n cheese w/ crab and green chili, which were both good. The fried chicken was really popular last year, too. We ordered some wine and cocktails, but our favorite cocktail by far was the Kentucky Fall - Bulleit rye, apple cider, lemon and house-made ginger-black peppercorn simple syrup, served over a giant ice cube. Really incredible. Thank you, Tom, and look forward to next time!

Patty S.

Yelp
We were here back in 2018 and went back after reading my older Yelp review. I am increasing the rating to a 5. This place is fantastic. I had messed up and made a reservation for 2 instead of 3. They could've told me to pound sand, but they genuinely cared to find us a solution. And this is in the midst of multiple people streaming in at all times. The wine list is great, as well as, their mocktails. The food all came out so quickly, piping hot. The pow pow shrimp was so good but the favorite was the cauliflower. We also loved the fried chicken and dessert. The service is fantastic. We had a great time and will definitely come back. Make a reservation!!

Sophia L.

Yelp
I've gotta say that this is my favorite restaurant of all time. All of the food was absolutely delicious. I loved all the food and I tried everything we ordered. I am usually not a fan of vegetables, but the kale and beet salad were amazing. I'm not a fan of artichoke either but it was so well cooked and the sauce was excellent. By the time our entrees came out, I was stuffed, but the chicken and gravy was so good. The dessert was delicious. We practically ate ours in one minute. The service was excellent and so was the ambiance. It had a very relaxed vibe to help make sure you enjoy your meal. Overall, this restaurant is a must-try for anyone in Steamboat Springs.

Lisa F.

Yelp
Love the small plate forward menu and execution! We split the panzanella, calamari and pork belly. Everything was delicious and Benjamin provided excellent service. This was my favorite dinner over the too short vacation.

Joshua B.

Yelp
Fantastic experience all around. Our server, Jennifer seemed like she knew the menu well, so we had her order for the group and wow did she deliver. The food was well prepared, interesting and well presented flavors. The elk was so good, my first experience too. The shrimp was great and the avocado appetizer was perfect, you could literally taste all the different flavors. Had the infused spicy tequila to drink and quite enjoyed it. Highly recommend and ask for Jennifer, you wont regret it.

Mia H.

Yelp
This place was the best out of all the other places we ate at on our vacation. The atmosphere, service, and vibe of the spot were cozy cabin feels. Everything was filled with fresh, flavorful ingredients. The beef carpaccio is a must if you're not afraid to venture out of your comfort zone with food. The beef cheeks were tender, and the steamed buns were the best I've had; they were like warm, soft pillows. Make sure to save room for dessert because these two were highly recommended, and I'm glad we decided on getting dessert.

Kevin Y.

Yelp
Actually some decent tapas and they share the space with Creekside Cafe. It's pretty decent, but definitely pricy. Nice after a long day of skiing.

Cecilia C.

Yelp
One of the best meals I've had in a while. Fast and efficient service. The small plates aren't too small. Excellent drinks as well. Will be back!!

Brian M.

Yelp
What a great spot! It's was so nice and the food was delicious. I highly recommend coming here for a drink and a bite to eat. Ryan the bartender was very informative. The steak bites and the Brussels sprouts hash was dynamite. I would love to come back

Jim R.

Yelp
Great restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food and drinks, and a terrific vibe. Definitely try to go every time I'm in steamboat!

Pamela M.

Yelp
Always love this place as a special night out. Food is excellent and service is superior.

Mo P.

Yelp
We had the shrimp pow-pow which was paired with the freshest pickled ginger I've had -made from scratch and sesame powder. The flavor was incredible and one of a kind. The shaved brussel sprouts had beef and bacon bits, mixed with goat cheese and topped with crispy fried onion. The blend of ingredients was the perfect mix - you have to take your time with each bite to give your senses time to process the flavors. We also had the beef brisket started with local sour dough toast topped with tender brisket and a sunny-side up egg with a cheese cream sauce - the brisket was pretty fatty but flavors were still pretty good. Finally had the truffle potatoes with incredible pesto sauce. All these dishes are a one of a kind experience. You can order small plates or larger orders - family style. For two people we ordered five small plates and were full. Portions for small plates vary some are appetizer size and others like the brussel sprout I would consider a regular meal size. Dessert menu changes we had the espresso affogato. Local Big Iron coffee served as drip (it was good with Almond creamer) and Lavazza for espresso drinks. Ryan was our server he was very polite, gave great local tips and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. Lastly, we arrived around 5pm which was before the dinner rush.. this place is right alongside the river

Lara D.

Yelp
Fantastic spot!!! Our group of 4 had an early 4:30 reservation. We came straight in off a snowmobile tour but since it's a nicer place we donned sweaters over our ski pants and nobody cared. Nice people. Great food. Hostess a delight. Server Sharon on top of her game. Worked our way down most of the small bites menu (nothing small about them) and everything was tasty. Yes you need a reservation. Yes your bill will be on the large end of the scale. Go anyway. It's yummy, fun, welcoming and did I say yummy? This place is a Steamboat highlight.

Donna B.

Yelp
Our second year returning to Steamboat and Laundry was on our list just to see if it was as good as we thought it was last year. The answer is YES! We had the Chef's menu- five courses and all were outstanding. My personal favorite was the first course. Smoked pork belly, pimento cheese, picked onions and spicy peanuts on a lettuce wrap. OMG. The other courses were phenomenal and unique- compressed melon? I had to look up how they did that but I have never had melon that tasted that good. Yum. My only suggestions for improvement would be to clear the table and place fresh plates and forks between courses. I had to ask for a clean plate. Also, this is a personal preference, the courses came so quickly- once I asked for a little space between them they were fine but the service was too fast for my personal preference. Service was excellent.

Carolina S.

Yelp
When I booked our vacation, this place was pretty hard to get reservations for and needed a credit card just to make a reservation . We came in on a Saturday night and were seated right away. I ordered a cocktail but it was too strong and I didn't like the taste of it. I decided to order a chocolate martini that was delicious ! We ordered a cheese and meat board was was okay, nothing unique or special about it. We also ordered the pow pow that was really great. Crispy shrimp and a lit if great flavors and textures! We ordered a few more plates, but sadly they weren't anything to write about! We finished off our meal with a baked Colorado and blueberry cobbler. The cobbler was sweet and delicious and the baked Colorado was unimpressive and I just didn't want to waste the calories eating it. Sadly, this place has more hype than actual great food.

Jorge V.

Yelp
The size of the food portions is ridiculous!! Smallest portions I've ever had. The service was mediocre and their happy hour was absurd. Calamari tapa had potatoes and maybe an oz of meat. The pimento cheese could have been the worst I've ever had. Banh mi slider $9.0/slider, give me a break. The money we spent on appetizers was absurd. Never going back
