"Laurel Brasserie & Bar took over the space that used to be The Grand America Hotel’s Garden Cafe, changing up the dated interior with flower-shaped lights, wicker cane chairs, and black-and-white sketches. Dinner starts with complimentary housemade rolls and a creamy goat cheese butter, but save some of that bread for the french onion soup that’s simmered for over 24 hours and topped with toasted gruyere. The double-sided bar is great for drinking some cocktails featuring Utah-made spirits, like the Laurel Leaf Old Fashioned mixed with Beehive barrel-aged gin. Thanks to state law, Happy Hour deals are only for smaller bites—which is fine, because you’ll want to take shots of the french onion soup anyway." - jenny willden

We are visiting from Texas. This restaurant came up as a suggestion on my Facebook feeds. The menu looked very good and had nice options. We booked a reservation. A credit card was required but no charge was applied. This restaurant is in a hotel which was nicely decorated. We were seated promptly and We ordered several appetizers. Each one was so good. French onion soup, steamed mussels & clams, butternut squash arancini, grilled utah peach & burrata. We also ordered the tuna tartare but we dis not enjoy it as much as the others. The tomato in the tartare was not a good addition to us. The customer service was outstanding. Our server Cylea was very friendly and attentive. She was so nice and answered all of our questions. For our meal we had the pan seared branzino, pork chop, scottish salmon. The pork chop was dry unfortunately. If you prefer salmon to be cooked a certain way like medium or medium rare, be sure to let your server know or it might be cooked more that your liking. Overall we had a great experience and do recommend dining at this establishment. We were celebrating a 56th birthday and recommend a complimentary dessert which was very nice. It was a much appreciated gesture. The birthday boy got to choose and went with the Grand American bread pudding and it was the best bread pudding we have ever had. The flavor was excellent and the top was nice and crispy. Get the dessert!

I got to book a New Year's Eve buffet brunch here and it was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, everything was perfectly curated to satisfy any brunch lover's cravings. The variety of food options was impressive--decadent pastries, fresh fruits, and savory dishes like made-to-order omelets, crispy bacon, and a carving station with tender, flavorful lamb. Seafood counter? delicious. The dessert table? Heavenly. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was festive and welcoming, with just the right amount of sparkle to celebrate the occasion. The staff was attentive and friendly, always checking in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. To top it all off, the Bloody Mary, Perfect! If you're looking for an amazing brunch experience, this is must-visit. Book ahead! I can't wait to return next year--this might just become my new tradition!

I have been staying nearby at a different hotel but have been back to Laurel Brasserie 4 times in the last 4 days….The food and service has been excellent every visit but, if I’m honest I have been obsessed with their cocktail program and bar staff, simply put they are superlative. Today specifically both Carina and Amber were working and both seemed to go above and beyond to provide an excellent experience. Amber, has helped me on a few of my last visits and consistently makes some of the best cocktails I have ever had and was even willing to let me order off menu and come up with a new drink on the spot. You will not be disappointed here. Thank you to all the staff, but a special shout out to Amber. I will be back every time I’m in town.

This was amazing!!! We went to celebrate our anniversary. The food was so amazing, the service was awesome, and the atmosphere was phenomenal! The band was playing songs that we knew, grew up with, or are new, but done in the style of muzak. This made it so we could actually genuinely enjoy it! They played "SOS" by the Police, "Baby Shark" (this cracked us up so much), "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio, some classic rock songs, and so much more. There were so many options for food, and it was all amazing! The chai latte was delicious! I wanted more. Our server was so attentive, as was the rest of the staff, and we loved it! The manage took amazing care of us, and made sure we were well taken care of. We will definitely be back.

Laurel Brasserie & Bar is hands down one of our favorite dining spots in Salt Lake City! Nestled conveniently inside the Grand America Hotel—our go-to place to stay when we travel to SLC—this gem never disappoints. We visit 2-3 times a year for business, and each time, we have a fantastic experience. During our most recent visit, we were fortunate to have Rob as our server. His attentive and friendly service truly made our meal special. The hostess was also wonderful, welcoming us warmly and seating us promptly. From the ambiance to the delicious food, Laurel consistently impresses. We can’t wait for our next trip!

We’ve come here twice now, and it has been absolutely incredible! The food was to die for, and the service was amazing. Shoutout to Karla, who served us this time, and her sister, who we had last time Fatima!

Yelp
We reserved a banquet room for a luncheon for my daughter's college graduation party. We worked with Samantha to set up the event. She was very professional and extremely responsive to all our needs. There were 23 people total, which included 5 young children. We had our own dedicated servers and the customer service was excellent! Mason and Nick were very polite, friendly, and professional. The room was very stylish and elegant and it was a great atmosphere to celebrate a special occasion. We were provided with a wide list of menu items and selected appetizers and entrees in advance to be served family style to our guests. In addition, there was a kids menu for 12 and under. Most of the food was delicious. I highly recommend the pigs in a blanket appetizer and the steak frites for the entree (the fries with the steak were excellent!). The Caesar salad was also really good. We also had an assortment of desserts and most people loved the brownies. Portions were very generous. We did have a couple of issues with overdone fries with the kids meals and overcooked and dense gnocchi, but the sauce was delicious. We had asked for a lemon garlic aioli in advance to replace a saffron aioli but we were still served the saffron one. Mason quickly swapped this out for us. Samantha, our events coordinator, provided a discount as restitution for the issues. A few hiccups but they didn't take away from an otherwise great experience. I highly recommend The Laurel for special events. My overall rating is 8/10.

Yelp
Really cute restaurant in the Grand. The service was very timely and friendly and the restaurant bright and airy. The peach burrata was a great way to start our lunch. It hit the spot I loved my maple glazed salmon with butternut squash risotto. The risotto could have used a bit more seasoning in my opinion, but it was a great meal. Loved the addition of the kumquats. Those aren't served often enough. It's dry January so I ordered a mocktail. A n/a mojito. I loved it. Very refreshing and packed with mint. I didn't miss the alcohol Would definitely return again if staying in the Little America or the Grand

Gabi M.

Yelp
An incredible experience! The food was amazing! Service was fast and so kind! Loved the ambiance as well!

Linda M.

Yelp
We spent some time at the bar having Prosecco and specialty drinks! Beautiful hotel bar with fun bartenders.

Hannah E.

Yelp
Great ambiance!! Closes in between lunch and dinner service. Meatballs were great! Burger was just okay. Fries were good - ranch and ketchup on the side

Yelp
Ambience: 10/10 Service: 9/10 Food: 6/10 Value: 7/10 Fennel salad-very good Half chicken-good Gnocchi-very good Bolognese-not good Jumbo shrimp skewers-really really not good (very overcooked)

Yelp
Went here for our last lunch at Salt Lake City. We were pleasantly surprised! The hostess upfront was very friendly and welcoming. We got the pigs in a blanket and the garlic shrimp as our appetizers--both were absolutely delicious. One of the best pigs in a blanket I've had in a while! For my entree, I had the steak frites which was cooked well, packed with flavor, and tender. The fries were also quite good--crispy and well seasoned. The dining areas were also quite cute. We were able to get a nice and private area facing the window with a nice view. Our waitress was efficient and friendly. My only critique is the coffee was a little bland and a little stale. If you're staying at the Grand America hotel, definitely consider this restaurant as one of your dining options. You won't be disappointed!

Brielle B.

Yelp
Came here around 3pm and they unfortunately in between lunch and dinner time so there were very limited bar food options to choose from. Our waiter was a bit awkward. Not only our waiter there was honestly an overall vibe that I didn't appreciate as an African American. Nothing overt but you felt it. After being all over SLC Utah this is the one place I felt that vibe. Ordered mushroom " calamari" which was pretty good. My bestie ordered the meatballs which she said was amazing. And my other friend order tomato soup which she advised was really good. They have a cute upbeat fresh ambiance which is the reason we choose to eat here. The drinks were good. Nothing over the top. All in all I wouldn't go back.

Brooke O.

Yelp
I did Sunday brunch here for my birthday. This place is fancy AF and pricey but worth it for a splurge! They have all you can eat prime rib, crepe bar, seafood, pizza, pastries, salads, a kid friendly station and more. The service was great--my waiter made me a special cold coffee drink as requested. The jazz band provides such an awesome vibe. They also sang happy birthday to me and it was so special

Yelp
Made the reservation weeks in advance and looked forward to the experience...dressed nice for the occasion to respect the establishment. When we arrived we weren't given any seating choices and were seated at a smallish table at the door. As we got acclimated we learned there was seating in the atrium type area behind the bar, out on a patio, more in back where it was a little nicer and quieter. Plenty of space to spread out but we were stuck the first place two could sit in order to get back to line. We were surrounded by crowds in and out the place and couldn't really enjoy ourselves with the traffic over-talking and staring. The food was absolutely amazing and the band was phenomenal, but the ambiance and experience was trash. People were there in shorts, sweats, even pajama looking stuff. Absolutely amazing food ruined by a Waffle House feel and careless hostess treatment. Had the hostess just given us a choice we may have been where we enjoyed it, but by the time we figured things out it was too late. The only worse table was up against the appetizer bar which got bumped every few people. Maybe my expectations were just too high from the exclusive looking advertising and stock photos, but it turned out to be a very expensive Luby's. There was exactly zero that was special to us about the setting or the meal. I really just wanted to get outta there. For $150 brunch for two, when we go back to Grand America we'll save that for a few breakfasts at places with decent ambiance.

Val S.

Yelp
The Laurel is lovely! The patio is awesome. I'm a fan of brunch, it's extravagant and pricey but delicious. So only go if you can stay and take advantage of eat it all. The reason they get a 4 is the evening bar service has been awful. They are arrogant, slow,

Emily H.

Yelp
Great food, service, and ambiance. We made a reservation so we got sitted really quickly. We went to Sunday Brunch and had a really good experince. They have a variety of type of food from breakfast, seafood, and Italian food. They had many desserts and pastries. There a people that are ready to make crepes and omelets in front of you. Free garage parking. The only downside was that live musics was really loud so I couldn't really hear people talking. It could be because we were sitting right next to them. Other than that it was fantastic!

J C.

Yelp
Father's Day Brunch, great atmosphere, accompanied by a 3 piece band. Mostly enjoyed the seafood station w basic cold offerings, jumbo shrimp. The Italian station had some hand tossed pizzas plus meatballs, tasty. Omelette station, thin dessert station and really poor quality beef (chewy, flavorless) at carving station. Similar experience w the chicken and pork chops. $65.00 ea included coffee and juice but no alcohol. Thought it was kind of pricey for the selection. expected better for $141.00. Will seek an alternative next visit to SLC.

Asena E.

Yelp
soooo cute and romantic. the salmon is really nice and i thought the risotto was okay but im also not a big squash fan.

Taylor H.

Yelp
I had never been to the grand America before and so we decided to have a family night out to stroll the windows, see the ginger bread house and enjoy an amazing dinner! And I will say it was a hit! The windows and gingerbread house were both amazing but the highlight was 1000% the food and experience at the laurel! I loved the aesthetic and atmosphere and the food was even better! Our server was phenomenal and they made sure we were well taken care of! I can't wait to come back and bring everyone to try this place out!! (Only downside was the lighting for photos wasn't great, but the food was amazing!)

Nycole R.

Yelp
While I was staying at the Grand America hotel, I was looking for an onsite breakfast option that was a bit more than a pastry and a cup of coffee. (If that's what you're looking for, however, they have quick options as well!) Someone recommended that I visit the Laurel and it was the highlight of my day! The "brasserie" is a bright, comfortable and classy café of sorts, that transforms into a lovely bar later in the day. Service was attentive and formal-our water stayed filled and my coffee kept hot and fresh. The food itself was outstanding-I had the traditional eggs, potatoes and the recommended chicken sausage while my son scarfed his waffles down happily. Everything was prepared perfectly and plated in such a way that I felt a twinge of guilt diving in to it. I enjoyed my meal so much that I will purposely come back to check out the bar scene at a later time.

Amy D.

Yelp
I mostly enjoy this restaurant because the atmosphere is very relaxing and service is impeccable. The margarita is on the light side but flavor is good. The meatballs were a little tougher than I expected. Kids loved the bolognese though and the cauliflower was good. I'd try something different next visit.

Elisabeth W.

Yelp
I had to pause mid dinner to write a review because the service and food was so incredible! We came here to celebrate our anniversary and the staff was so accommodating and attentive. Our server Danny answered all of my questions with such ease and enthusiasm and he made sure to take care of any concerns I had. I also believe we had one of the managers on the floor who came and brought me some complimentary macarons and a white rose to celebrate the occasion with us. Overall, this restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and an excellent staff!

Mark C.

Yelp
One word. Divine!! Came in town for 4 days. Had dinner here twice. Ordered the exact same thing each night. Salmon, risotto, creamed spinach and croissant creme brulee ice cream desert. All of it was absolutely delicious!! Bravo!

Pamela F.

Yelp
Sunday brunch. So good! Food: flavor and variety of offerings ~ would give them 6 stars if I could. So delicious! Wonderful diversity of items that not only spanned breakfast and lunch but all the way to dinner. And they certainly had dessert well covered. Drinks: coffee was good but not hot enough and we had to practically beg for it upon our arrival. Mimosa was proper, with just a hint of juice, served with a nice slice of strawberry. It's a large, beautiful restaurant and we were glad to have been seated in the bar alcove, as the live music - while from a swinging 3-piece band - was a bit loud for us. Although being seated at two small, adjacent round bar tables was an awkward set up. Would have much preferred one of the booths in the bar area, but none were available when we were seated. Service was a pretty big miss. While one of the two servers who helped us was friendly, neither of them were particularly on it. We both ordered coffee when we arrived. They only brought one cup. And then it took about 5+ minutes to bring the cream, sugar and spoon. We came back from provisioning to unbussed tables, and with the tables being so small, I had to ask if they wanted us to bus our own tables (met with "oh no no, I can take that"). For such a nice place, it was a bummer to have such frustrating service. But with that said, would go back in a heartbeat for that killer Sunday brunch!

Andrew G.

Yelp
I loved the dessert here! Service is super nice and seated us even though we came in just a half hour before close. I love the vibe inside too, we're definitely coming back for more dessert and to try the other food!

Corynn B.

Yelp
I love being a tourist in my own city and taking myself out for a little date! Laurel in the Grand America has been on my list for a while, and I luckily was able to sneak in for a quick lunch on their patio before they closed at 2pm. They re-open for their dinner/drinks menu at 5pm. It's so cute, trendy, and classy on the inside and they have a wonderful patio space as well. I sat in a shady spot and it was the perfect temperature, even in this heat. The shade did migrate eventually and I had to move inside. They gave me a couple complimentary rolls to start. I ordered one of their summery mocktails - a hibiscus lemonade - and it was really tasty. I didn't realize that their kitchen closed at 2pm because I misread their hours, so I felt a bit rushed to order, but I ended up getting their chopped salad and a side of fries. Both were delicious. They have a daily pizza special as well and today's was their 4-cheese pizza for $16, but it felt to hot outside to eat a hot pizza. The service was a little disappointing. Maybe it was because I showed up around 1:20ish and they were closing at 2? I'm not sure. I'd be curious to come check it out another time, and maybe have a better service experience. They also have wifi here so it would be a great spot to do some work, which a couple other folks were doing. It's a lovely little place, has good food, and was a perfect patio to sit on this afternoon.

Kristy M.

Yelp
Laurel is a lovely spot to enjoy a meal anytime, but their Sunday brunch is divine. You may want to ask about your preferred location to sit because some areas are quieter with better views than others. Also, the live music was a little loud for our liking and not a genre we would have expected in this space. Our server was very helpful, but slow filling requests for simple things like sugar and drinks. However, we aren't in a hurry at Sunday brunch so it wasn't a huge deal to us. There are so many options that it is hard to choose! We loved the omelets, seafood, and baked goods. Our drinks were very tasty and everyone was happy with their selections. Laurel is a great option anytime, but their Sunday brunch is delightful.

Sandra S.

Yelp
This was one of a cute brunch spot places located inside the grand America. The interior was definitely beautiful. For how many people we had in our group, I didn't like the way it was set up where two booths were back to back, making it hard to communicate with our other guests. For the food, honest review I would say it didn't live up to par. I had the special pizza which I felt like maybe that was one of the best dishes there. My sister had this chicken dish and the menu didn't describe it properly as it came out looking like a soup and was pretty bland. Not entirely sure I would come here again for brunch.

Kandi R.

Yelp
The lighter hair guy(photo).. was our waiter! I watched him in total disgust as he used the bottle opener to pluck something off the sole of his shoe! I hope the camera behind the bar work because he was digging in.....no rise no wipe off no nothing tossed in right in the cup for the next use. I immediately stopped eating and drink, please cash me out, and babe paid for purchase. We waited for our company to cash out so we could find our way to somewhere else Lemon Drop: was different Meatballs: Good flavor, but slightly mushy Location: beautiful 2 star for the display of poor bar keeping practices. That was flat out nasty, and he looked as if so what and kept pushing.

Katelyn L.

Yelp
Best French onion soup and delicious burrata! Great service and beautiful atmosphere!

A D.

Yelp
Outstanding! From the starter cocktail to apps to entrees to dessert we couldn't be more pleased! Ani's recommendations were perfect, and her enthusiasm for the restaurant and hotel were felt! Thank you for the spa rec too! You deserve to go! The burrata was inventive and delicious with confit onion, love the pigs in blanket to start. My husband could not get over the cook on the steak & frites, perfection. The Lasagna was excellent and so glad Ani guided me in that direction. The whole staff was attentive and friendly. Also, thank you Waisa the restroom attendant for holding the door me as I'm in a wheelchair. Surprisingly fantastic from ambiance to atmosphere, and overall value. House made gelato was the ideal finish. Thank you for a wonderful evening before a candlelight concert.

Vida A.

Yelp
Just had Sunday brunch here today and the food selections have gotten better even tho the macarons were stale. The prime rib was also dry and flavorless without sauce but besides that everything was good. I was really impressed with the ceviche, tuna and salmon tartare. Very fresh and delicious. My son couldn't get enough scallops he liked them so much. The seafood selection has stepped up. They also offer fresh omelettes and crepes but I wasn't feeling those things this time so I went to the pizza station and got a fresh slice that they make in their pizza oven. So good. They also offer regular breakfast offerings and lunch type stuff too like pasta, salmon, steak, and chicken. More I think but that's all I remember. What makes this brunch worth it for $65 is all non alcoholic drinks are included meaning you can have cappuccinos or anything from barista and any juice or soft drinks all you want. The trio band is great and play really good music. Our server today however was slow and wouldn't pick up dishes until it piled up. We wouldn't see her for long periods which got annoying to order drinks. She wasn't overly busy but I noticed she was in the back room a lot. She was nice tho. Make sure to ask for parking validation. It will save you a lot. Definitely worth eating the brunch once in a while. Btw located inside the beautiful Grande America hotel.

Natalie B.

Yelp
Went to their Sunday brunch buffet and had a superb time overall! Starting from the beginning, customer service from the hostess (the very first person you interact with) was horrible. She rudely claimed we didn't have a reservation even though we were certain we did, and made a whole scene in front of a bunch of other customers asking us to step aside and wait. It was a mistake on their end that was fixed fairly quickly, but still an offsetting start. Our server on the other hand was AMAZING. Super attentive, kind, and took care of all of our needs. The restaurant itself is lovely! Beautifully designed and gives off a unique, fun ambiance. For the Sunday brunch there is also a live band, which provides another layer of entertainment :) Now onto the food. Normally you wouldn't expect much from a buffet, but everything served here was high quality and TASTED great. Some things you won't want to miss are the hot chocolate (dip a croissant in it!), fresh squeezed orange juice, waffles, and bread pudding! Very fun experience, I can see myself coming back with other loved ones for celebratory events. Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

Kathee C.

Yelp
I've been in a few times and I really enjoy it. It's a beautiful space with great service and delicious food. Yesterday we went for an early dinner and ordered off the happy hour menu. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and a hibiscus lemonade. The burger is a double patty with bacon, american cheese, lettuce, tomato and burger sauce. I love their french fries, they are crispy and yummy. My husband ordered the french onion soup and the baked meatballs. He said it was all very good.

Lee B.

Yelp
Concert going on downtown so hard to find a place to eat. Was able to get into this Grand America eatery around 7:30 pm without a problem. Such a darling diner! Our server, Kayla, was outstanding! The beet salad was gorgeous and yummy. The meatball appetizer was small and could've been served hotter. My bf ordered the chicken which was almost like a stew with an abundance of vegetables. He loved it. I ordered the pizza. I'm not sure why I did. I wasn't in the mood for pizza but I think seeing the cute wood stove they were being made in tempted me. It was large enough for 2 or 3 people and thin crust... I just think I wasn't in the mood for it so I'd say it wasn't anything to write home about. Would definitely like to go back earlier to get some ice cream from their ice cream bar.

Jasmine M.

Yelp
A lovely dinner & good service. The Arancini was under-seasoned. I had higher expectations for that dish. The pizza was good & a great option for anyone that likes thin crust pizzas. I really liked the addition of the garlic confit on the pizza. The pigs in a blanket were our favorite appetizer. Flavorful, rich, and great texture. The French onion soup was on the oilier side. It had good flavors but there was not enough cheese on top & the broth itself was oilier than I anticipated. It was rich and flavorful. I do miss the lollipop wings they previously had on their menu. The Grand America is beautiful especially around the Holidays. I highly recommend checking the restaurant out during Happy Hour.

Alyssa L.

Yelp
Every single time I arrive here I am greeted like I am part of a family. They will treat you with the upmost respect and dignity that you deserve and it truly is a warm welcoming experience. I've been going to this restaurant for years now and it doesn't disappoint every time. You will feel a nice warm luxurious atmosphere and the vibes are spectacular. The service with everyone like I said, is top notch. Shoutout to my favorite manager Ola(olga?? I keep forgetting by accident) She makes my visits 10/10 an amazing experience. I look forward to seeing her every single time. The service was so good I tipped one of my waitresses a pearl necklace. The food is spectacular, if you enjoy American bistro meets Italian cuisine. They really bring an exotic taste to the table with their seasonally changing menus! It's quite indulging on a high level. If you love luxury looks, good food, and a warm ambient atmosphere, the laurel is your place to go!

Missy M.

Yelp
I tried Laurel for the first time today and I really enjoyed it! I went here for a baby shower with some girl friends and the food was yummy. This place is located in the Grand America hotel and has such a beautiful ambiance. I got the biscuits and gravy and it was super flavorful. The dish came with a salad that wasn't that great however. I would have rather had just the biscuits and gravy and not the "salad". My friend got the avocado toast and it was a very colorful dish. We also tried eggs Benedict and their fruit smoothies. We all loved the food but the service was a little slow.

Julia D.

Yelp
Such a cute vibey restaurant in a good location! I came around happy hour and grabbed a seat at the bar with a friend. They have a nice drink menu of both alcoholic and NA drinks, and a nice snacks menu. We got the meatballs and pigs in a blanket which were both perfect as easy snacks. They were good and service was quick, but not outstanding. The bartenders were so friendly and fun to chat with, and gave great recommendations of things to do in the area once we were done.

Luke H.

Yelp
An elegant restaurant inside the luxurious Grand America Hotel. The waitstaff, though extremely busy, was very attentive and friendly, the chef even came out to say hello! Almost every item in the restaurant is made from scratch (including a delicious goat cheese butter mix to accompany the bread). Not pictured were the pigs in a blanket, the honest highlight, which snapped with every bite you took! I got a strawberry salad and added salmon. The salad itself was wonderful, but I wouldn't get the fish with it (I just wanted some protein). My mate got the steak and frites, where were hand cut and perfectly salted.

Justine L.

Yelp
Ate breakfast and lunch here while staying at the Grand America hotel. The lemon ricotta pancakes at Laurel were amazing as was the customer service. For lunch, the homemade Bolognese pasta was to die for. I'm an Italian food snob and loved this meal. Two thumbs up.

Quin T.

Yelp
The Grand America is one of my favorite hotels and the decorations around the holidays are always phenomenal. After walking through the hotel and checking out all of the cool displays and the toy store, we popped in to Laurel for lunch. I really wanted breakfast, but we were 20 minutes late and was told by the hostess that they were switching over for lunch and that we had to wait until 11:00 to be seated which I thought was weird. But, we waited and at 11:00 instead of her letting me know we could be seated, I had to approach the host stand again and inquire about lunch. We were then seated and immediately approached by our waitress who kept bugging us and barely gave us time to look at the menu. When we were ready to place our order, we started with the oyster mushroom calamari that was surprisingly very delicious! The jumbo grilled shrimp was also delicious although our waitress told me that an order came with 6, when in actual reality, there were only 4 shrimp in the order. The bacon cheeseburger and short rib beef sandwich were both good.

Yelp
There were six different sections for Sunday brunch, a pizza section, breakfast section, lunch section, seafood appetizer section, dessert section and the ice cream section was outside. Food was good and tasted fresh. The small orchestra played a fun variety of songs. I don't remember seeing pancakes on the breakfast bar, but maybe I just overlooked it. The hotel is beautiful with expensive looking decor and the garden view is pretty with the colored flowers. There's an outside seating area and the hostess automatically took us to a table outside. It was 90 degrees out and we had reservations, so I have no idea why she would automatically take us to a table outside without even asking. Oh, and theyvalidate parking which otherwise is $15

Yelp
Understaffed but delicious It took about 15 minutes to get a server once we sat down but the food and cocktails made up for it! Gatsby vibes for the whole thing! Love otherwise I def recommend the onion soup & the potato gnocchi

Yelp
The extended breakfast- lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes. Out of this world delicious! Fluffy, tall, 3 stack of pancakes. It comes with nothing else and it would be a challenge for most to eat. Light yet thick and fluffy pancakes. Seriously delicious. Topped with fresh whipped cream and fruit and a personal jar of syrup. The short rib sandwich with shoestring fries looks small when your plate comes but it is very filling, the meat is juicy and delicious. The arugula is a nice addition to the sandwich - cuts at the sweetness of the short rib. Very yummy. The grilled cheese sandwich - thick toast - probably Texas toast. Absolutely golden brown, 2-3 types of cheeses. A real deal grilled cheese sandwich. The bread might tear up your mouth though because it's very toasty. But seriously tasty! The pizza! Even the kids pizza plate is a medium size pizza! What a deal! Tasty thin crust, nice thin layer of cheese. Light sauce. Nice toasty crust. Great meals all around! It's a pretty penny, but the food really is worth it. Service was very good. Ambience was very chic and opulent for casual dining.

Yelp
Outstanding food but if anything steals the show more than this beautiful building it's that each person working genuinely seems happy to be there. A few will give great details about the history of the building which is incredibly impressive. I have never eaten a bad meal here. The brunch is massive and elegantly done and I am definitely not a fan of buffets, but this is the exception.

Yelp
This is a really solid choice for food, especially if you are staying in the Grand America Hotel. There is a nice outside area to sit in if the weather is nice, but the interior is tasteful and comfortable, too. The portions are HUGE, and every time we went, we wished we had shared. The pizzas are especially good. The breakfast has a lot of choices, and my friend's pancakes were killer. I was a little sad that the menu advertises Impossible breakfast sausage, but the veg sausage I received was most definitely NOT Impossible. (It wasn't real sausage at least.) The service can be a little slow and hit or miss, but the best service is at the bar. The bartenders are all super friendly and skilled. Also, random tip: the Laurel Leaf Old Fashioned is gin, not whiskey, based. It was delicious, and I probably would not have ordered it if I had noticed that, so it was a pleasant surprise for me.

Yelp
Easter Brunch @ Grand America I feel like there are not a lot of recent reviews for brunch at Laurel at Grand America so here's an updated one. We had a reservation for brunch for 7 on Easter. Overall, it was very organized. We were seated right at our reservation time, our waitress was very attentive and the staff kept everything moving given how busy they were for the holiday. There was a 3-piece band playing. The food was exceptional and honestly, a reasonable deal at $75pp. They had all the normal breakfast assortments - omelette station, crepe station, breakfast meats, and breads. The lunch options were all top notch - different salads, carving station, a whole assortment of fish and shellfish. The dessert table was beautiful but the pastries weren't that great compared to the rest of the offerings. We had three young kids with us, and they were complimentary, which is nice cause they only ate chocolate. We will be back next year!

Yelp
Wow - I did NOT expect such an incredible breakfast from a restaurant attached to a hotel! Here's the full rundown: This place is adorable. Very instagrammable. If you're in a hurry, you can grab what looked like some very delicious pastries from the quick-serve counter. If you're not in a hurry, grab a seat and stay awhile - it's totally worth the time. We were seated quickly and had the pleasure of sitting in Todd's section. Todd has one of those faces that make you ask yourself....where have I seen you before? Turns out, he's a total doppelganger for the guy from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. On top of his good looks, Todd is an awesome server and he had some great reco's. We enjoyed both the Kale and Quinoa pesto hash as well as the lemon ricotta pancakes. Both were absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend both. I also ordered some of their sourdough flaxseed bread - they were fab. I would come here again, no doubt - if you're staying in the area, this is a lovely place for breakfast or brunch without the wait or lines of other restaurants. Plus: there are always Lime and Spin scooters parked out front, just across the street.

Yelp
Upon Arrival we all met here for Sundance and had the very best cocktails made strong - the ambiance was incredible and the lighting nice and dim!

Yelp
This place is definitely worth it. We went to the Sunday Brunch. The staff were very accommodating. We were initially seated by the band and requested to move to a quieter setting and they were totally fine with making the change. The staff was super attentive too. The food. First, there are so many options. The prime rib was perfect. The shrimps were huge. The cocktail sauce could have a little more heat, but the shrimp was good on it's own. The hot stations were easy to order what your wanted. The bread pudding was amazing. As someone who doesn't really love breakfast food, I would say that anyone could find something they liked there. We very much enjoyed our meal and I'm excited to bring my friends here when they visit.
