Laurel Oak Village Apartments

When moved in we noticed a strong smell coming from the refrigerator, and the freezer! I didn’t think anything negative. Just went and re-cleaned the refrigerator. But the smell came back and was getting stronger every time the refrigerator and the freezer was opened. I reached out to management to see if they could switch our refrigerators, but they took forever to reply!!! And when I finally got a response from the office, I was told to “clean it with bleach” and I couldn’t get another refrigerator for the apartment. Fast forward, months has gone by still have the scent coming out of the refrigerator. So we decided to pull the refrigerator apart 🤷🏾‍♀️ looking through the door gaskets on the freezer and refrigerator, we were greeted with DEAD GNATS. Some were alive but mostly. They were dead. (I’ll add pictures) Management was contacted again. And I asked for a new refrigerator once again. And this time was told “no, it wasn’t a problem when you moved in” like excuse me???? After months of dealing with my refrigerator, gnats inside of it, and the office not answering messages or emails- we finally got a new one. But that’s only because they went under new management and were trying to save face! And another thing that I didn’t like while staying here was when it was time to get the air filter changed they went weeks without changing ours. And the excuse was, since we were one of the only units who had a window ac unit, we have to wait for them to come in. But they never came. I was constantly getting sick because of the dirty air filter. If you’re gonna have window units, making sure you have a lot of air filters on standby for situations like this. One of the maintenance guys always stared at me with so much aggression. I never understood why when I’d see him, he’d always mean mug me. Which made me uncomfortable to stay here as well. It’s very hard to get in contact with management. They respond days later, can’t call the office because the phone just rings. Would I recommend this place to anyone else?? MAYBE. If they go under new management completely. Starting with the office staff, down to the maintenance staff.

worst I've ever lived in!!! Pool and amenities usually closed. Can't get maintenance (my carpet is soaking wet from a leak). Lots of drugs.

Where do I begin? Worst apartment complex i’ve ever lived in. The AC leaked for 2 weeks, they didn’t come fix it until the downstairs neighbor complained about it. The pool was ALWAYS dirty, when it was clean it was closed. When we first moved in we went to clean before we brought our furniture and there was a roach painted over into the kitchen cabinets. Office staff was rude af and impossible to reach. Only upside was Charlie with maintenance he was always the kindest!

This place is a horrible place to live ! Be aware ! This place is a horrible place to live. They just want your money. The ceiling caved in on me and my bf while We were sleeping. It happened on the 18th it’s now the 1st. They still haven’t came to repair our ceiling. We signed a lease for 3 months but they are now telling us we have to pay next month lease or we will be fined $1000 Because we didn’t give them a 30 day notice. This is so crazy to me because we have a big hole in our ceiling and they are still asking for money. Greedy Apartments I would not recommend at all! Management is horrible that lady in the office is a horrible person heartless..... People like you America needs to get rid of.

Save your money if you're expecting a dependable staff. It is currently Saturday and our AC is out for its third day, so it is up to 86 degrees throughout our apartment while we can't consult the office about it AGAIN until Monday. Along with that, a dangerously broken balcony railing, a broken dishwasher, and a laundry room for all residents filled with all broken driers that have been gathering quarters for about two months are enough to persuade us to look into moving out very soon.

The worst place have ever live in my entire life. N have been here for only 3 months. My burner kind of exploded while I'm cooking I reported it they took a whole week to come fix it. Today at 6 o'clock while I'm sleeping my apartment started flooding I've called the emergency number nobody has come. I had to call 911 for advice its 8 o'clock now the apartment still flooding, in the kitchen, bathroom, closet water is leaking everywhere. 3 months only , this place is disgusting, nasty, the people are unprofessional and the maintenance sucks.this is horrible guys I swear I'm almost crying right now.

This is the worst place I’ve ever lived, staff is constantly changing maintenance requests never gets completed... my air has been out for an entire week and they can’t seem to fix the problem literally came everyday and still no air if you’re planning on moving here think twice please believe the reviews cus i read the reviews before i moved here and i really thought ppl was exaggerating but no lie I’m experiencing the exact same issues ppl experienced years ago. they really need to get it together

Air has went out twice in 3 months, front lady (Kc) Has terrible customer service skills (asked me what was wrong with my air... as if I'm some sort of mechanic) and as she stated "doesn't work for mainentance" terrible ! Would not renew a lease here to save my life.
