Lavender Room Brooklyn

Very nice restaurant, the atmosphereis beautiful. They did a wonderful job decorating this space. The food was also good, especially their Rock The Boat (plantain stuffed with shrimp and steak) and the Mac and cheese was superb. I will be back to try their crab cakes. Don't take it from me, try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Celebrated my daughter-in-laws birthday in a private room. Beautiful place. The staff were very attentive and informative. The DJ had the place jumping. Everything was delicious, from the appetizers to the drinks. I would love to check this place out again. A jewel in the Bed-Stuy/Crown Heights area.

Had such a great time here ! Our server Malay was very attentive & sweet, the hookah girl Bella was also very helpful, fast & also the owner ! Had the love drop drink 10/10, lamb chops & shrimp 10/10. Dj came around 8pm, played great music according to the crowd (which we love). I would 100% recommend!

I had the pleasure of visiting The Lavender Room last night, and I’ll definitely be returning. My party of three arrived without a reservation, but we were seated surprisingly quickly. We started with drinks, all of which were excellent—balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented. While we didn’t opt for the Restaurant Week menu this time, I love that it includes a complimentary drink. Our food was outstanding—perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. A special shoutout to our server, Paradise, and the hostess, who were both incredibly attentive and helpful throughout the evening. And to top it all off, the DJ kept the energy going with great music.

I enjoyed dinner at The Lavender Room over the weekend and it was incredible! The restaurant is beautiful inside - from the lighting to the decor and furniture. Love the velvet booths! Oh, it’s giving all the vibes. Ok, so I ordered the plantain banana boat w/shrimp appetizer and lamb chops entree which were both delicious. Not pictured are the wings I tried. Both the jerk wings and the sweet/spicy ones I had were easily the best I’ve ever had. No exaggeration. I even met the owner who was super nice. I will be back next time I visit Brooklyn for sure.

My first time eating at lavender room and I must say my experience was 10/10. Our server Rayuana was really amazing. Yes the food is really really good, drinks even better, but Her energy and assistance made everything top tier !! Can’t wait to go back

Lavender Room has become a weekly spot for my friends and I after work — the perfect place to grab drinks, chill, and unwind from a long week. The staff, the music, and the food are all incredible. It stands out from other bars with its classy atmosphere and the ability to have a private, one-on-one moment with your date. It’s truly unmatched.

So went to Lavender after original plan fell through… what a pleasant surprise ! Black owned the manager was so kind and welcoming! He made sure we had a good experience and that we did! The DJ was great not too overwhelming where the music you couldn’t hear yourself talk! Oh Taylor the waitress was very nice and attentive she really served us well! The food is delicious with the Caribbean flavor ! Salmon sliders and the drinks!!! One drink had me feeling very good!! lol you will not be disappointed!!

Service: I want to start off here because they deserve 5 stars for service! The service was outstanding! From the hostess to the hookah girl everyone was great attentive and I absolutely showed my appreciation in tip. Food: However, the food was a complete miss for me. I ordered the fried salmon wish mashed potatoes and asparagus and I'm not sure how they got it wrong but they did. I also had some spring rolls and although everything was cooked well the taste flavor was lacking. The food was cooked well but just did not taste good. The girls I was with got the jerk wings and they were underwhelming as well. The salmon sliders seemed to be a frozen patty rather than an actual fresher cooked salmon and they were not good. I cannot say I will ever go back. We had some margaritas and they tasted good but were not as strong as they should've been. ***dessert*** we were told they do not have a dessert menu but they have red velvet cake and tres leche. We opted for the red velvet. It took so long to come out, when it finally did I asked if they had to go buy it and once she put it down we knew it came from a bakery. It was the best thing we had there all night ironically. Ambiance: it's an aesthetically pleasing establishment, a dj was there, it was very viby. Go or No: it's a no go for me, skip this place the food is not good, and the drinks do not hit.

Came here to celebrate a friends birthday. We were seated in the back right behind the DJ. I thought the ambiance was cool and while the space is not the largest, it was ample. We started with appetizers--wings and I had the macaroni cheese-- just a heads up, it's a bit of a wait, but I was pleased. For our entrees, I had the Salmon, which was in a curry sauce and rice. Everything was good and both of my friends had lamb with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The damper came when we asked for cake to celebrate the birthday person-- and they didn't have any! This was a first and put and left a somewhat negative feeling-- everyone wants to be celebrated on their birthday, and that couldn't happen. Aside from that, everything else was cool. The DJ played good music, the vibes were good and the server constantly checked in on us. FYI-- the birthday person gets a free shot of house liquor.

Had a reservation for 7pm. Was sat promptly but unfortunately we sat for about 20 mins and no one acknowledged us, not even water or a waitress/ waiter introduction. So we left!

Upon entering warmly greeted. Cute chic atmosphere. Will expand once meal and drinks arrive.

I came in ready to love this spot but the reality was disappointing. The font on the menu is absolutely ridiculous. Be sure to print a flash light and magnify glass.. The food was good, but it wasn't served hot. The space is tiny and our waiter was basically M.I.A., so we only managed to get one drink the entire time. It took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive, and after that, we were quickly rushed out due to their 90-minute dining limit. The hostess made it a point to grab the waiter to let us know it was time to go.Considering how long we waited for our meal, and the empty tables they had available this policy is a joke. This experience is exactly why it's so hard to keep supporting certain Black-owned restaurants. Don't recommend.

Upon entering the lavender room, I was greeted by a highly skilled greeter who was exceptionally attentive and hospitable. Entering the lavender room, I noted a relatively small crowd initially, but as time passed, more people arrived. The food, hookah, and drinks were all of high quality. I would definitely recommend visiting this establishment.

If you decide to visit the Lavender Room, be cautious! My friends and I were seated upstairs in the back corner and, within 10 minutes, we were asked to move. We didn't even receive a menu until just one minute before we had to get up. After moving to another corner, we were requested to leave again within 10 minutes after placing our food and drink orders. We were quite upset, as there seemed to be no logical reason for the moves and we were ultimately asked to go to the bar. The restaurant embodies the saying "you get what you pay for." If you're okay with being moved around and not receiving proper accommodation, then this might be the place for you. However, if you care about how you are treated especially as women, I would highly recommend dining elsewhere. The space itself is nice, but the way they treat their customers is unacceptable. I believe this restaurant deserves a detailed review due to its poor service. Please avoid this establishment if you value respect!

Service was trash drinks were mid jerk chicken tacos were trash wings were just ok server had an attitude.

The food was good. I had the crab cakes, they were delicious! I will be back again, just for those!

Came here for a birthday party dinner and the owner was very pleasant and hospitable. The servers working alongside him, Terry, Blair and Keisha were all amazing. They were very attentive to our group and treated us well. The food was also good. Their drinks were really well crafted. Definitely recommend coming here and support another black owned business in the Brooklyn community. Shout outs to Trill. Can't wait to be back.

The food was great and the service from Dorian was good, I would definitely come back.
