A Guide to California's Central Coast

"Founded after the Asseo family moved from Bordeaux to Paso Robles, this estate settled into the hilly valleys where coastal influence lengthens grape maturation and the terroir is superb. On 127 acres, Rhône and Bordeaux varieties (and a few others) yield high-quality wines, and partnerships with the Thienot family from Champagne produce additional blends and cuvées." - J'nai Gaither

The OG of French GSM (or like in France, Châteauneuf-du-Pape) in Paso. We had a great time. Love all of their wine but the one that stole the show was the Les Demoiselles. It was a MSG, blend. Will need a few more years of cellaring but OMG, it will be awesome. Dark fruits with an earthy tone and a long finish.

Google
Incredible experience and wine. You can tell the owner and staff truly care about the craftsmanship. Overall, it was our favorite wine of our trip and we signed up for the membership. Recommend!!

Google
If you want 100 point wines for a $120 this is definitely the place to go. It is definitely one of the more peaceful quiet and beautiful wineries in Paso. Servings are generous and the club is actually one of the better bargains in CA. Staff is always extremely professional and you are always welcomed there. Literally some of the best wines in the country are made at this winery and they seem to have a habit of producing 98, 99 and 100 point wines.

Our family experience at L’Aventure was amazing. Leanne was absolutely awesome. We were immediately welcomed by name with a splash of champagne which included a quick tour of their caves. Their flight of wines were excellent and we unsurprisingly became members. This was a tasting we won’t forget and highly recommend for those looking for an elevated experience paired with the best wines Paso Robles has to offer. Cheers!

Google
This was our first time visiting L’Aventure and it is definitely not our last! Shockingly great wines, wonderful guidance and conversation with Leah (❤️ her!) and a lovely venue! We joined the club and are delighted!!!

Google
Great wine and phenomenal staff. Great story on how the winery got started by a Frenchman (Stephan) who wouldn’t give up and had a knack for developing his own wine brand / creation.

Google
Very nice. Great atmosphere. Positive and informative staff. The cave tour was very impressive. And not to forget, the wines, world class with a view that was magnificent. Which wines are the best, hmmmm, I liked all of them.

Kathy B.

Google
Loved our tasting- excellent wine and Lea (sp)? was just as excellent! Great knowledge of the history of the winery, the area and the wines. We loved hearing her story and applaud her !

Yelp
This is a hidden place. Legendary views, excellent service, and the best wine in the area. A huge variety. The cheese platter snack is great and that's all they really have for food. This is a place where you need to book ahead to get a tasting. Let me tell you that it's worth it and worth the wait. I will be coming back here.

Yelp
We came here on a wet rainy day. They covered their tasting area. We didn't let the rain put a damper on our visit. They pour the samples and let you take your time. I like this! You can go back and forth tasting. Most wineries pour, make you finish or dump and then pour the next. But having them in front lets you compare and decide. We bought several wines. They were all delicious. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. It's a little drive to get in but it's fine. We had a young woman helping us who was excellent. She said she had worked there 2 months and was leaving soon to start grad school in another city. Anyway, there was no hard sell from her and she was really helpful. Highly recommend visiting this winery.

Yelp
My third wine tasting trip to Paso Robles in the last 5 year. This time tried to explore wineries that have not been visited or recommended by friends. After doing some homework, picked this one as the 1st winery to visit. This winery offered a tasting flight that consisted of 5 wines - one Rose, 1 white and 3 reds for $50. The "Estate Rose" was refreshing on nose and on palate with medium length finish, quite a nice Rose for $38. The "Siblings" was a total surprise & it's outstanding. It's has a very pronounced black pepper aroma, which I have never experienced. On the palate, it's spicy with good complexity, medium+ length of finish, very unique & interesting wine for $98. The "Cote A Cote" was a typical GSM blend with relatively shorter finish, which is ok but not outstanding. The "Estate Cuvee" is more American like style - much more oak influence, fuller body, medium finish. it's better than the "Cote A Cote" but the price tag of $120 & $130 respectively are too high. The "Estate Reserve Blanc" was an outstanding white blend. It has beautiful and refreshing aroma, nice complexity on palate, and medium length of finish. Worth the price tag of $100. The tasting area ( like a large patio ) was roomy and comfortable, with nice open view. Service was very good. Our server was very friendly and tried her best to answer all our questions. When she knew that we loved the black pepper aroma of the "Siblings", she gave us an extra red wine of similar characteristics ( which is not on the list ) to taste, so nice! Overall the wines are good in quality compared to a lot of the other wineries in Paso, worth visiting!

Yelp
We're members for a reason. Intimate, accommodating, thoughtful, and the wine is more than lovely!! Always a treat and can't wait to be back!

Yelp
My dad was a L'Aventure member for years, so my husband and I had enjoyed the wine several times before our recent trip to Paso Robles. We decided to reserve a tasting on our way out of town, for 11:30 on a temperate September Sunday. We booked on Tock, where I was asked to note where I'd heard of L'Aventure. I mentioned my dad, and our host, Eric, had looked him up before we arrived. Dad C. had been a member for a decade without claiming a single complimentary tasting, and ours, Eric told us, would be on the house, a $100 value. The winery was gorgeous, serene and scenic. We sat at an outdoor table and Eric guided us through our tasting, accompanied by a young intern visiting from a winery in France. We learned about the history of L'Aventure as we enjoyed our wine--we had a rosé and the three current release reds, the 2021 Optimus, Côte à Côte, and Estate Cuvée. They were all delicious. In the end, we didn't need my dad's good will to get our tasting fees waived. I followed in his footsteps and signed up for the wine club on the strength of this one visit. We went home with our first year's allocation: six bottles, two each of those current release reds. We had a lovely visit at L'Aventure. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a nice winery in Paso Robles. I look forward to coming back sometime in the near future. I plan on taking advantage of my complimentary tastings.

Yelp
Cave, bubbles. Wine...yes please. What a pleasant surprise on my friend's B Day tour. The bar is set very high for the rest of the day and other Wineries. Leanne, was phenomenal personal, knowledgeable and funny. The wine speaks for itself as does the atmosphere.
google avatar

Lisa W.

Yelp
We heard great things about L'Aventure from my husbands boss and I believe they have some 100 points wines, so it was a must for us to try their wines. This was our last stop for the day and it didn't disappoint! The vineyard is beautiful, but the way there is a little sketchy, and that's because the road gets small and only one car at a time. Our server was great. We enjoyed their wines so much, especially their Cote de Cote and Optimus. Bought many bottles and joined their wine club! Can't wait to pick up shipment and go to their pick up party.

Yelp
Came here after getting a recommendation from a friend that this place was amazing. The estate was beautiful and had a great outside sitting area. We tasted in the tasting room and it was nice. We got a tasting by the tasting room manager and she was really friendly. Also had a backup pourer who came from the production facility and she was amazing. Our favorite taste was the champagne. My pallet didn't connect as much with the red wines as I was hoping. They were smooth drinking wines so I can see why people love this place. They really wanted you to age there wines before drinking. Didn't end up getting any bottles which is rare for me. Couple of side notes: We didn't feel the experience and the wine was worth the $50 tasting fee. The tasting room had nats flying around and some landed in my wine. I know it's hard to control but when you pay for an elite taste you can't have that. I am definitely happy that I tried there wines and definitely recommend people check it out as well.
google avatar

Daw M.

Yelp
By appointment only. They have a wine cave which is pretty neat. The tasting was hit and miss. Walked out with their Rose which was my favorite. Nice grounds and service was friendly.
google avatar

Nicole F.

Yelp
Our friends are members here and set up the appointment. They are adhering to Covid protocols with social distancing but still provided a tour of the facility. Tasting price is reasonable. Liked the barrel room. Really enjoyed the wines. Staff is very nice and take their time with customers even though there were multiple tastings occurring.

John M.

Yelp
My wife and I went here last weekend during a day of tasting. It was honestly the one we were most excited about but left very disappointed. We paid for the library tasting and other than sitting in a cave the experience was not elevated. When we booked they asked for our music preference but there was no music during the tasting. The wine was good but did not live up to what I expected. Also although we paid $260 in total we weren't asked once if we would like to revisit something or try something else like all the other wineries offered. We couldn't wait to leave and move on to the next winery.
google avatar

Gary Q.

Yelp
Second time coming out here wines are still consistent. Great atmosphere and the pourers this time around were much more attentive. Wines are really good quality and always have a good variety to cater to almost all pallets. My only qualm is VERY light with the pours as you can see in the pics haha. Keep us inebriated folks, makes us buy more wine, just saying.
google avatar

Roy C.

Yelp
Fabulous wine. We showed up 20 minutes late since I screwed up the reservation time and Nicole helped us out and sat with us. Explained the wines and history of L'Aventura. It stands for the Aventure and it surely is. Great place to soak in a beautiful local with delicious wine.
google avatar

Mary K.

Yelp
Reservations only. They didn't turn on the heaters though it was really chilly and there was a beautiful fire pit which should have been lit but it was not. Really barren uncomfortable furniture and when we got there, they put us at the only table out of the sun and it was really cold. Also didn't have water with the tasting. And why do the Paso wineries not have a place to discard your wine if you don't want to drink it all? So the tasting at $25 is reasonable for Paso but the ambience isn't so great. You have a guide who is with you the whole time which is nice but can be awkward if you want to honestly critique a wine amongst yourselves. But our young guide was really nice and we liked him. If you like red French burgundy type wines you will like this. I'm not so big on the French style but wanted to explore again. They do start with a Provence style Rose which was quite nice. The wine I liked best was inspiración but you can't purchase that unless you join their premium tier wine club. I do love that the founder was the guy that started to break the rules and got some cool blends started in Paso which go towards the Spanish style. But we didn't join just because it wasn't our style wine. And out of the four tastings we did that weekend, this was the least impressive in terms of presentation.

Yelp
We're absolutely obsessed with L'Aventure! Our hosts Grace, Kate, and David were so lovely - They treated us so well and made us feel right at home! My fiancé and I both agree these were our favorite wines of the trip. Everything from the setting to the wines to the service felt so purposeful and intentional. Already planning our trip back!
google avatar

Marcia R.

Yelp
A private estate at the end of a road. Press a button and the door swings open to admit people with appointments. One of the four French families in the area, known as the French mafia, this French winemaker arrived from St. Emilion, chafing at the French rules and looking for freedom (and lots of land at a good price). A wonderful modern cave, modern feel, the wine stewards leave you to your own to figure it out. This is not necessarily a bad thing but the wines are so young it is hard to assess their relative strengths and weaknesses at this early stage. We could have used more attention. The highest price for the most austere experience.
google avatar

B N.

Yelp
Okay, skip Justin, Daou, and Austin Hope. They all make good wine and you can purchase them in any store or your favorite place that sells wine. We just returned from our second visit to Paso since 2021. What an amazing winery. All of their wines are fabulous. I really love the story behind this winery and their wines. Leanne was very informative and a pleasure to have served us. Naturally we had to become club members and came home with a case of their exquisite wines. We have been to eleven wineries in Paso the last two years and this one is probably the one that my wife and I enjoyed the most. Move over Napa and Sonoma, Paso is coming on strong as a premier place in the California wine industry.
google avatar

Melanie P.

Yelp
We came on a Sunday afternoon, gotta make reservations. Gotta ask for Leanne for the full experience. The back room was so nice and private, perfect ambiance. Such a clean place and unique vibe. Deep full body reds. Beautiful property. Lovely staff. Will definitely come back and purchase bottles. My favorite was sibling and optimus

Yelp
L'Aventure Winery is located at the end of Live Oak road and is a beautiful modern, rustic winery. The wine here is meant to be aged before drinking. While the wines at the tasting room are still young, I look forward to tasting the wines after a few years. The tasting experience is outdoors in the covered patio. The road leading up to the winery is all dirt, so I would make sure you have a vehicle suited for the terrain if you're visiting on a rainy day. Tastings are $50 a person but waived with purchase of red wine.

Angie L.

Yelp
Just stunning wines. Maddux was a great host--knowledgeable, easy to chat with, and warm. After our tasting he briefly showed us the caves, which was a special treat. Of all the wines we tasted this trip, L'Aventure was the standout. Great communication prior to our trip, as well. Oh, and they're dog friendly!

Sandie B.

Yelp
These are lovely wines. Tasting fee is $50 per person for what seemed to be unusually small pours of 4 wines. They will waive one fee if you buy two bottles of their $100+ wine. We did wind up buying wines because we really loved one of them. Their tasting patio is shaded, and they have fans and misters for the summer.

Yelp
As our group's third winery of the day, L'Aventure delivered a friendly, enjoyable tasting experience. AMBIENCE (4/5) Stephan Asseo, L'Aventure's French owner and winemaker, moved to the US to pursue more adventurous wine-making that went beyond the Bordeaux region's strict AOC laws. Producing red wine blends of the Bordeaux and Rhône grape varieties, the winery offers an airy tasting room with $20pp tastings. WINES (4/5) We tried the Estate Rosé 2017, Optimus 2016, Côté a Côté 2016, and Estate Cuvée 2016. All were quite nice! I liked the Optimus and Côté a Côté the most. SERVICE (5/5) Our tasting instructor, an energetic retiree, was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Yelp
Off the beaten path...end of a long winding road...on to a dirt path and stopped by a beautiful wooden gate. One press of a magical red button and the castle fortress wall moves silently away so you can take your carriage between the hills of L'Aventure. As far as my eyes can see, on all sides of the rolling estate of L'Aventure stands the naked vines that have had their fruits harvested for one purpose. To make glorious nectar of the gods...or...at least tasty wines for thirsty travellers! I was recommended, by a fabulous Sommelier and Wine expert in the GTA, to go see Stephan. His dedication to his craft, perfected in France and brought to Paso Robles, can not only be tasted in his wines; it can also be seen in the passion that the staff displays. My tasting I believe was the Optimus, Côte à Côte, and Estate Cuvée - all Reds and all SOLD OUT. The only one available was the Estate Rosé 2017 - easy drinking and not the sugary lady drink that less knowledgeable (like me) person might think. A treat for our tasting group was the Chloe (named after Stephan's daughter). I liked it so much, I dropped the US$105 for it and will save it for a special occasion. The cave tour was fantastic, Leanne (I hope I got it right) was top notch in her presentation. Would love to return and try some of Stephan's private collection. Cheers!

Yelp
We have been members for years! They continue to elevate everything they do from the quality of the wines to the incredible staff that creates wonderful experiences. The best in Paso!

Yelp
Another visit to L'Aventure and funny enough we were helped by Leanne again, (who was very pregnant at the time). I believe she was having a boy named Gabriel. So hopefully that went well and she's enjoying her new life as a mom. We had to book our appointment on the day after Memorial Day at 10am because that was the only spot that was available but it was a warm day so tasting some excellent wines first thing on a Tuesday morning turned out to be a good thing. As the last time, Leanne was an exceptional host. We had a great time with her and I told her about how the 2 bottles I had bought from our previous trip had gotten cooked after our wine fridge went on the fritz and I put them in the crawl space beneath our house because it seemed cool enough down there. Well we ended up having a heat wave and when I finally thought to check the temp of the crawl space it was near 80 degrees down there! Leanne said, "You should have called us. We would have replaced those bottles for you." I was flabbergasted. I didn't even think to ask about having my bottles replaced. After all it's not L'Aventures' fault that my wine got ruined. But that just shows how great the people at this winery are. Leanne ended up giving me one of the bottles we bought this time at half price. This time we bought the Estate Cuvee, Les Demoiselles, and For Her (which wasn't on the tasting menu but Leanne was gracious enough to let us try). I can't say enough good things about L'Aventure and every time I talk to friends about wineries, the name L'Aventure always comes up. Hands down one of Paso's best wineries.
google avatar

Zildheam D.

Yelp
Paso Robles has changed since my last visit, we visited L'aventure by recommendation of two somm friends. A reservation is required, we saw people turned away due to timing and space, you must have a reservation to taste here~ If you can, ask nicely for a tour of the cave, seeing the limestone wall and fermentation tanks/pots will give you a greater appreciation for the wonderful things this winery is doing. Loved it, bought a bottle, highly recommend it. Staff was knowledgable, took their time, very personable and so helpful. Lacey was so great, i loved everything about this visit. The stem less glasses turned me off at first but not something to get hung up on when you are poured such wonderful wines that open up nicely and taste like nothing else in Paso.
google avatar

Angela N.

Yelp
Ray was outstanding, very informative and supplied us with a variety of super tasty wines!
google avatar

Aaron S.

Yelp
Private winery. Kinda stuck up place actually. Didn't get a chance to try the wine, but was informed that they wouldn't be able to have us there, as you need special reservations. Oh and just to see the wine cave is $85pp! HA! No thanks. Def won't be back

Vickie Q.

Yelp
Our server, Lea, made our experience a great one! She was knowledgeable and sweet and welcome to America Lea! She's only been here from France for two weeks!
google avatar

Jeff H.

Yelp
We have not been to L Aventure since Stephan was serving the wines himself in his small tasting room, and was living in a trailer. The wines are very good and always have been. We heard that Stephan built a brand new tasting room and we wanted to check out the experience. As we drove up to the gate we noticed that the road is still dirt. I would hate to come in the rain. The path up to the tasting room was also dirt and alongside the path were cheap solar lights, two different types with some knocked over. Because of Covid, we asked to be seated outside. The chairs are horrifically uncomfortable and the two on the other side of the table were plastic. Upon asking our host about the road, path, and chairs, he said that Stephan doesn't want people to stay long. My wife went in to use the bathroom and there were not even seat liners. Stephan is a pioneer and brought amazing french blending to Paso Robles and has influenced so many young winemakers like Clos Selene and Booker to name two, but the sad state of the tasting experience takes away from the fine wine. It would take so little to bring the experience to the level of the wines, and if Stephans daughter wants to achieve that for her dad, a trip to Booker will provide the service model that you so desperately need.
google avatar

Ann A.

Yelp
The wine is excellent and the staff that work here are awesome! I called the tasting room letting them Know we were going to be a bit late. At first they said they couldn't accommodate us being that late, but then changed his mind saying they can let us taste a couple of glasses. But when we arrived, they were so kind to let us taste the full flight. But my husband and I definitely drank them pretty fast to catch up--lol. Our server was super nice and charming. I definitely would come back because the amazing wine and awesome staff!

Elise S.

Yelp
Incredible hospitality. The location and wines are a given, but what shines is the team and their passion, level of accommodation, overall wine knowledge, and industry knowledge. A must visit!

Janie P.

Yelp
The customer service was 5+. Very personal and lots of knowledge to share. However, the wine is definitely not worth $100+ dollars. The tasting is $50 but the quality to price ratio is definitely the worst that we've had, ever. We have memberships in both Napa and Temecula and feel that the price for both the tasting and wine itself is definitely not worth it. There was one wine that was good in the four wine tasting but I would not revisit this one at the price point.
google avatar

Jade F.

Yelp
The grounds and tasting room are fine and the staff was really lovely and sweet. The review is because I felt the wines were not good and so overpriced. This has been on our list for years and we came because so many friends raved about it, but it feels like this ship has sailed. Wines were tight and so so young. Every wine was pitched like "our winemaker is a French hero and imagine how this will taste in 5-10 years." Yah maybe, but $95-$125 per bottle is a kinda risky investment no?
google avatar

Monika C.

Yelp
It was a nice experience! Eric, the guy helping was nice and informative! The tour was nice and picturesque, and they had yummy snacks! Would definitely come back!
google avatar

Christina C.

Yelp
I had such a wonderful experience here this past weekend that I decided to become a wine club member. All of their wines are delicious and the pourers are fantastic as well. Be sure to ask for Brandon! You need to make a reservation (it's really easy to do it on their website). They're fantastic with social distancing and supplying sanitizer as well. Tastings are $25, but waive if you're a member.
google avatar

Karl W.

Yelp
While we enjoyed the wines, they only had 1 white and rest red wines. Plus, we made an appt on 9/9/2022, had to drive down a curvy dirt road to only enter a place with no other people. Was a bit freaky. It's definitely designed for pro wine drinkers that do not care about ambiance and entertainment. I admit we went to have a good time and drink good wine but having a one on one wine historian standing next to you the entire time put undo pressure on us to drink faster and get the hell out of there. The wine cave was nice but I wish they would have left us alone to enjoy our wine instead of the 30 min history lesson. Keep the history down to 15 mins and give us some space, add some music and let us enjoy your good wine.
google avatar

Reilly M.

Yelp
Brandon took such good care of us. We became members here a few months ago and came back with a new group to show off this beauty and it did not disappoint. All the wines were incredible yet again, the service was fun and relaxed but we learned so much. Our group felt very safe and we appreciated all the attention to cleanliness and COVID restrictions. So happy to be part of the L'Aventure family!

Lora P.

Yelp
We visited L'Aventure this past weekend in times of Covid and 111 degree heat, and had a fantastic time! I think the winery did everything they could to make it absolutely as safe as possible, yet still make you feel like times were "normal". Upon arrival, we were greeted by our host and taken to our table outside. (Reservations only). Sanitizer was on the table, and all the tastings were brought out in a set of glasses on a tray so they weren't being touched by multiple people. The real reason you go here is for the wine, right? It was fantastic! From the first tasting to the last, each wine was clearly well balanced and delicious. Not one bad pour! From the Optimus to the Cote a Cote to their Cab--each one was unique. The part that really made our visit special was our host, Jake. He really took the time to explain the journey the winemaker, Stefan, took to end up in Paso, and knew all about the soil, how the weather impacted the grapes, and process each wine went through from soil to bottle. We discovered that the cab grapes are grown in limestone soil (hope I said that right), and then funny enough, we visited the neighboring winery, who's cab grapes are also grown in limestone and was really good, so now we know to seek out this more specific type of soil at other places we will try. But, have to thank Jake again for the engaging experience. Will definitely come back again when we can visit the caves!

Yelp
Loved this winery!! Went there with my wife and if was GREAT, the staff was super welcoming, Martin facilitated the tasting and was super knowledgeable and lovely to chat with. The wines are on the more expensive side compared to other wineries but you pay for quality. Definitely recommend checking this place out and trying their wines.
google avatar

Chris N.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I had an amazing time with Brandon this last Sunday. June 5. The wines were great the service was amazing. I work in the wine industry and have been to over 100 San Luis Obispo wineries. Everything from the wine to the one on one service was top notch. I will definitely be back again. Thanks for the amazing day.
google avatar

Elle C.

Yelp
It's a drive to get out to this spot. The artsy front serves as a cheerful welcome. Service was impressively professional and attentive inside this unimpressively small, cramped tasting room. $15/person for 4 tastings. I did love the wines (which are on the pricey end); we took home one of the less expensive offerings: 2011 Optimus @ $45.
google avatar

Emma I.

Yelp
Hands down our favorite winery of the day! If you are one that is very interested and passionate about wine, L'Aventure is a must see (and taste!) in Paso Robles. Not only are the wines unique and so delicious, but the experience is very special, hence why they are appointment only. We were with one other couple during our tasting with Martin, which created a very intimate feel, as we were able to ask many questions and really discuss the wines and the winery. Martin was extremely knowledgeable of anything and everything about L'Aventure. During the tasting, you are taken on a cave tour in which you are surrounded by beautiful barrels with aging wine - this was definitely our favorite part of the day. You are able to learn a lot about the winemaker during the tour and are given an even deeper description of the wines and how they came to be! In addition to the amazing wines and service, the facility was very nice, with a modern yet cozy vibe, and absolutely stunning views! I would highly recommend making an appointment here as it will not disappoint and is in a quick Uber's range to other local wineries.
google avatar

Kayli M.

Yelp
A fun stop, but was the most expensive flight of the day. Wasn't overly impressed - was the last tasting of the day for our server and felt rushed.
google avatar

Vicky T.

Yelp
For 10 bucks you get to keep the glass and sample 5 of their goods. The girl behind the counter was amazingly friendly and provided good insight on where to eat, what to do and all the activities that were going on during the weekend. I did not taste the wine (DD forever) but the girls enjoyed it. If you have a big group my suggestion is to call ahead... we were able to get in at 10:30 (early I know).

Yelp
The wines coming out of this winery are very good. The tasting was fantastic and the service was incredible. Tasting room is fun and the Vineyard itself is absolutely gorgeous. I would highly recommend trying out the tasting room and the delicious wines.

Yelp
When I made the adventure to L'Aventure the first time I found myself without a reservation. My mistake! Fast forward 8 months and I arrived, two girlfriends in tow, with a 10am reservation. Perfect! Behind the nifty gate is a windy little road that takes you right up to the barn and newly constructed and super chic tasting room. Modern through and through, L'Aventure is one gorgeous setting. We were greeted by the friendly pouring staff and quickly whisked around the bar to begin our tasting. The wines were pleasant enough and quite lovely. The price point was a little higher than others in the area but keep in mind it's all estate grown and the care and meticulousness in production reflects this. Most, if not all the wines, are spectacularly reviewed by my favorite wine critic Jeb Dunnuck. I'm excited to hear what's going to happen next at this winery as the winemaker and owner is a total creative.

Yelp
This is our 2nd visit and we brought some friends for tasting. They surprised us with a nice cozy table inside the cave with our name on the table, and offered everyone a club tasting which has 6 wines including 2 that are for wine clubs. The "For Her" was the table's favorite. The way tasting works here is a little different in that the staff sits down with you and explains all the details of the winery history and its approach to making wine. They also pour all the wines at one time so you can taste them side by side. However, if you don't like a stranger sitting down with you and having a conversation, you may not like this. We loved that we got to ask questions about how their wines are made in a certain way and learned a lot about the winery and the region. This staff who served us is super knowledgable. The wine is in the $100+ per bottle range, so perhaps check their website and you have to decide for yourself if you will be happy paying for the wine if you like it. They always say the best wine is the wine you like and can afford. Since wine is a living thing and will continue to change, we hope to visit again.

Yelp
$50 tasting fee for a flight of 3 wines that totaled less than a glass of wine. If you buy two bottles of wine at more $100 each, they waive your tasting fee. Good wine but I don't think it was worth that much. The ambience was nice and the tour of the winery was a nice touch. Server and her knowledge of the winery was great.
