Seafood, Coconut Curries, and Lots of Fried Snacks Await in Sri Lanka | Eater
"A Jaffna staple where locals and visitors converge for South Indian vegetarian fare served on banana leaves; breakfast highlights include crispy dosas best washed down with sweet, frothy filter kaapi, while lunch brings parotta with coconut chutney and chickpea curry." - Zinara Rathnayake
The food is very tasty and its a nice restaurant which is why i have given 4 stars .. but i feel the staffs are not able to handle when its busy…. As they took forever to take the order even tho we were given a table quickly … i had to keep asking to send someone to take the order then again we only got our drinks after the starters…. I will recommend this place still as the food is yummy but be aware of the slow service

This is the best restaurant in Jaffna. Foods are high quality and variety of foods are available in Jaffna style. Parking space is not sufficient. Lot of dining space is available for dining. Staff is friendly and orders are delivered in lesser time

Visited here after wondering through the market for breakfast. Food was incredible, service fast and well priced! The Jaffna coffee is also to die for!

Last night we ordered the crispy and flavorful masala and chili onion dosas for dinner. My dad enjoyed them so much that he wanted to return for a thali at lunch. Once again, we were warmly welcomed by the ever-smiling Dushan. Great job—keep it up! We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

We had breakfast at Lavin's on the 23rd of June, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious—easily the best dosa we had during our 3-day stay in Jaffna. The staff were courteous and attentive, providing service on par with a five-star hotel. Highly recommended!

Went here for lunch. The dosa was delicious! Crispy, soft and full of flavour. We wanted naan but this wasn’t available till after six so they recommended this flaky bread which was also incredibly tasty.
The only letdown was the paneer gravy. He asked about our spice level and we said we didn’t want it too spicy. The paneer he recommended was extremely spicy. It didn’t come with any bread or rice. Compared to the other dishes, it was quite expensive and not worth it.

Highly recommending, the restaurant was clean and spacious.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The food was amazing as well, had “Lavin’s Dosa” and “Masala Chai”.
For appetizers we had a “Onion Pakoda”.
The food was delicious and filling, one of the best places to have authentic Vegetarian food in Jaffna.
