Google
Do not hesitate to dine in this authentic Vietnamese restaurant. The service is always exceptional. I have tried a wide array of menu items and have not been disappointed even once. Very consistent with the high quality of food. They prepare it to order. The flavors are authentic, and so are the staff. The atmosphere is a bit noisy since you are sitting next to their open kitchen. There is additional seating in an outer area that is quiet and still indoors. I try to eat here weekly. Amazing food!

09-17-25 -Egg Rolls $7- crispy on the outside slightly salty on the inside. The stuffing didn’t taste fresh. -2 Pho Dac Biet $33- flavorful. However, beef slices were tick cut. My soup broth was not able to cook the pieces to my liking. As for the meatballs, I was expecting the whole balls but disappointed when my Pho bowl showed up with the sliced ones. I enjoyed the beef brisket though. -Beef Vermicelli $15.50- per my brother-in-law, aromatic beef. It must have been good, he emptied his bowl completely lol. -Pork Vermicelli $14.50- my sister didn’t comment on her food. Note: We were a party of 5. 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. Service was average.

This is a gem. Delicious food. Great, fast, friendly service. Very reasonable prices. Great value for money.

Google
Looking for something less common, I tried LaVui Vietnamese. Very pleased with the service. My waitress helped me find just what I was in thy mood for, Beef Flat Noodles, and it was delicious! The dish was not spicy at all, so the bottle of Sriracha on the table was helpful. They have Boba tea, but sad they don't offer a non-tea Boba drink. Overall great experience and recommend them for dine-in our takeout.

Google
Everything is very fresh! And they provide you with an abundance of food! I’m glad that they’re open later at Night, but more over I’m glad for the authentic foods and the fact that they serve sashimi and sushi, but I’m a sashimi person I can tell you that the scallops are positively U-10’s, They’re massive and they’re fresh! Soft and taste! You definitely want to take your time with Them! And I love the colorful beat spring strings! I ordered the spicy edamame’s and they’re very very good! I love the café bistro feel of the place because the grill is right there with you when you’re inside and they do have an outside patio, it’s enclosed so it’s comfortable even in the cooler weather like we’re having now but I’m inside and I like how noisy it is! It’s very friendly here! I’m definitely enjoying the vibes the food and the variety of food offered here! And the food is definitely in abundance as delicious! You wouldn’t believe how many other moms you get in an order and I love them being spicy, you know the Clay pot chicken has jalapeños, but they’re not overwhelming even though I like hot because you’ve can still taste the lemongrass through it it’s really delicious. I love the fact that my waitress suggested Vietnamese rather than the Thai noodle order real good to listen to her because the quail eggs are delicious and the sauce is delicious and the sauce with the rice taste really good together! I recommend this place to stop and have a good meal! When my wife and I would come over here, I would notice it when we come over to the Extra Space Storage but we never did stop and I’m surprised we didn’t cause I think Cathryn would loved it, although I did lose her pancreatic cancer about three months ago, so I miss my Restaurant partner, but I’m pretending that she’s here tonight enjoying the food as much as I am!!!

Google
Good food, more of a pick up and go type place but they do have some seating. Food tasted very well seasoned...

Google
We ordered at the counter, sat down, and got our food quick, which is always appreciated. It was good. Not the most amazing pho I've ever had, but it still hit the spot. I'm curious enough to come back and try other stuff on the menu.

patty G.

Google
Actually, when they opened the place, the food was delicious and well prepared, but now it's terrible. The soup and rice are poorly prepared, and the raw sauce are on sale. The soup and rice are also poorly cooked, which is unfortunate because they started out very well. I have photos, but I don't know how to publish them. They also sent me pure oil and practically 50 dollars worth of terrible food.

Yelp
Nice spot for some Vietnamese favorites. It's a small location with a recently expanded sit-down dining option. Not too loud, allowing for conversation. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The food is great! They only have a few common pho options but they do them well. The combination pho is a go to when I'm looking for a nice warm broth. Their Vietnamese egg rolls are flavorful and super crispy. During my latest visit I tried the Chicken Curry Noodle and was pleasantly surprised. Adequately spiced with a lot of chicken and veggies mixed in. As with most places in the area, the prices are a little higher than you'd find elsewhere in Dallas. The portion sizes and quality of food justify it. Give them a try!
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot! I highly recommend their shaken beef. I was taken aback by the menu! THEY ALSO HAVE OISHII SUSHI!! Not sure how but I always love Oishii Great spot, more causal. Will def be back!

Yelp
This has become my go to pho place. I've ordered the pho and vermicelli, and both were really good. I'd request the beef in the vermicelli to be cooked a little less next time because the beef was cooked well done and a little tough. It still had a good flavor and comes with a spring roll although not mentioned on the menu. The service is good and the servers are very attentive, which is always a plus.

Yelp
Cozy little place at the corner of Denton/Hudnall and Maple with great service, and food that is worth a try! On this visit I had the shrimp spring rolls (which are a must!) and their Pho Dac Viet: has meatballs, rare steak and brisket. Very generous with the meat portions. Definitely coming back to try other offerings in their menu. They offer not only vietnamese cuisine, but also sushi.
google avatar

Vianai A. C.

Yelp
I've always had a good experience here. First parking is free and on site. When you walk in you feel warmly welcomed. Service is always top notch and the food is tasty! Not heavy or oily but always flavorful. The menu is mainly Vietnamese but there is sushi and orange/sesame chicken with lots of different tea and drink options. I also love that they're open later than other spots!

Yelp
A little bit of a hidden gem/hole in the wall. I stopped by here on my way to the airport as it was on the way. I was craving something quick and tasty and a Bahn Mi fit that description. I was seated inside and saw that they had not just Vietnamese classics, but also Sushi (Can't decide? Get both!) The inside was a little bare, and not much insulation so it might get a little bit loud when its full but they also have two separate seating areas and space outside. I thought that it was charming in its own way, and knew they were going to be serious about their food. I ordered a chicken bahn mi, fully expecting it to be simple. When it came out I was blown away by how such a simple bahn mi could be so flavorful. The lemongrass chicken was so tender and had so much complexity going on that I was not expecting. it was my favorite part of the sandwich, not to fully outshine the pickled veggies and pate though. It was a complete sandwich. If Lavui is doing a chicken bahn mi like this I can't imagine how good their other menu items are!
google avatar

Jasmine L.

Yelp
Decided to dine in for lunch after having ordered to-go in the past. Sat outside because our group had a small dog, and it was a great experience! The staff provided a rotating heater since it was chilly outside, which was very nice. The chicken pho was great, with a very flavorful broth. However, I wish they had provided more veggies on the side. The roasted duck banh mi was an interesting taste. Definitely very filling, but not my favorite. The service was also great considering we were seated outside
google avatar

Tish W.

Yelp
Food was awesome. Never had Thai food before and now I am hooked. It was so flavorful without being too spicy. The shaken beef I don't even know how to describe how delicious it was. I did get a chance to taste the flat noodles with beef that was good too, but the item that stole the show for me were the dumplings five out of five.
google avatar

Bladimir M.

Yelp
I have dined in and ordered take out at this restaurant, and I'm never disappointed! The service is always fantastic and fast. When I dined it, our server made sure to stop by often to make sure we were doing okay and our waters were refilled. The inside of the restaurant is casual and simple, and there's an outdoor covered patio too. Bathroom is also very clean. It's the perfect placed to have a big group of people, or also a casual date. Parking is easy in the front, and there's some spots towards the side and back of the building too. When I ordered to-go, the food did not take long at all. I got the combo vermicelli bowl to-go, and it was hot and fresh when I opened the container. The box was packed to the brim, and I liked how they put the sauce in a small container so I could drizzle it on myself. The egg roll was crispy and delicious. The veggies were fresh. The meat was juicy, tender, and had lots of flavor. The shrimp was also good. I did transfer all of it to a bigger bowl so I could mix it together more easily. The egg on top brought the whole dish together. Really enjoyed it, and it was super filling. Didn't even eat it all and had some leftovers for the next day.

Yelp
I live in the area and was hoping to find a good Vietnamese place. I ordered for pick up. Everything felt soggy and sloppy unfortunately. I only live about 5 minutes out. The vermicelli place had way too many onions and not enough salad! ),: it also lacked flavor, it needed more pickled carrots, cucumber, peanuts, etc. The dumplings were ok, the sauce didn't have flavor. The pork inside the dumplings had an off flavor. The service was great, the women were very nice. Interior is cute and quaint.
google avatar

Diane B.

Yelp
Enjoyed the authentic flavors of the food and the service was very friendly. The dining area is basic but comfortable. I would go there again.

Dale H.

Yelp
Restaurant advertises that they are Oishii sushi. They are not. A tired and small place. No bottled water. I paid for my order and left the food on the table and went home, never to return again. Failed on a number of levels.
google avatar

Maria V.

Yelp
The food was great!!!! Great presentation along with the flavor. The pork was super flavorful and the steak was fresh and cooked medium. They did automatically include the 10% tip and you can add more if you want to. You can hear the chefs cooking in the woks.
google avatar

Vivian V.

Yelp
Wanted to pick up a quick lunch and found this small eatery. Walking in, you see a lot of nearby hospital workers grabbing a lunch with coworkers. You enter and order/pay at the front and then can sit wherever inside or the covered front area. I ordered the tofu vermicelli bowl and it came out fast and was amazing. I would come here again for that.
google avatar

Noah S.

Yelp
The food is amazing and the service is just great!! The bahn mi's are so so good and very affordable ($8.50 for the pork or chicken)!! We are definitely becoming loyal customers! Please check this place out if you are looking for good Vietnamese food!
google avatar

Jessie C.

Yelp
Probably second best pho spot in Dallas city area after Vietnam Restaurant (closed on Sun). Overall solid quality but also slightly more expensive. We got the rare beef pho ($14.50) and the bun bowl sub with shrimp ($13), and a order of spring rolls ($6). All portions were generous and our waiter was so attentive. All the items were flavorful and not too greasy or salty. The seating is a little snug and slightly loud inside fyi- but great clean place for pho on Sundays.
google avatar

Kevin P.

Yelp
We just love their food. Authentic, attentive, reasonably priced and generally fulfilling in every way.
google avatar

Christina A.

Yelp
I was craving Vietnamese food and found this place on Yelp while we were in north Dallas. It's a clean little place with a small amount of parking in the front and on the side. I had the pho tai bo vein and hubs had the chicken vermicelli bowl. Everything was mid. Food 3/5 Service 3/5 Location 3/5 The pho was just sad. The broth lacked depth in flavor and only had a few green onions along with the meat and noodles. The pho came with a nice portion of beef and meatballs, but I didn't care for the texture of the meatballs at all. The chicken vermicelli was decent, but again, lacked flavor. We probably won't visit again. There are just too many other good options around town.

Joah M.

Yelp
I went close to closing and they were still pretty busy. The food was great and the service was good as well.
google avatar

Ross W.

Yelp
We got our pho to go, close to closing. 35 minutes till close. They wouldn't seat us, to go only. Ok, I get it. It's Friday night and they don't want to stay. After my card was charged, I noticed it was almost 10$ more than it should have been. I asked for an itemized reciept and there was a "20% service charge" what is this for? "Oh my mistake" she said. Then she goes in to explain there's an automatic 10% charge applied to all orders to tip the people in the back. It felt very deceitful- "accidentally" charging 20% extra. Left a bad taste in my mouth, will not be eating here again. Just include $1 higher price and be up front is my improvement.
google avatar

Kady L.

Yelp
Honestly love VIET food! I always thought this place is pretty pricey . I finally came back but want to come back more if prices are little lower. We sat outside but covered patio. It was so noisy and they were fixing something on the roof. It kind ruined the conversation we were trying to have. I get it. But can you wait until there is no guest inside.
google avatar

Clark B.

Yelp
We ordered at the counter, sat down, and got our food quick, which is always appreciated. It was good. Not the most amazing pho I've ever had, but it still hit the spot. I'm curious enough to come back and try other stuff on the menu.

Yelp
This place is in a rather odd spot at the corner of an intersection off the freeway, and the entire time we were here (prime dinner time around 6:30pm), there were no other customers. The pho was ... well, awful. The pho ga broth tasted store bought out of a can and the chicken breast (white meat) was over cooked. In addition, when we ordered other pho menu selections, the staff didn't know what tendons were, which is strange considering they're Vietnamese, and tendon is a staple in many pho dishes. Didn't have cilantro either, which is a minus. The spicy chicken noodles were much better; the union of sweet and spicy flavors is a deadly combination. However, their inclusion of celery didn't work for me. I think bell peppers would've done much better. The banh mi sauce was too sweet for my liking. They're also out of sriracha, like many other restaurants, and even though they do have the typical tuong ot sriracha bottles, it's clearly a different, watered-down replacement in them. They're also connected to the local Japanese restaurant Oiishi (which I've also reviewed and wasn't impressed), given half of their menu featured Oiishi menu options, again a strange choice for a Vietnamese establishment. I was pretty disappointed in this place. Seems like a dying restaurant given the food and the ambiance, and I'd personally spring for a slightly more expensive but better Vietnamese alternative (like Ngon in Greenville), or go out to Allen/Plano rather than returning to LaVui. If you're not Asian and not used to Vietnamese food, this place might suit you. But as an Asian from the Bay Area, i think you should try authentic Vietnamese food someday.
google avatar

Jingwen Z.

Yelp
Solid option for banh mi near the medical center, which is exactly what I was in the mood for after work. Can't speak to other menu items, but the grilled pork banh mi was good. It took a long time to prepare, but it was also worth the wait.
google avatar

Luke S.

Yelp
The food here is INCREDIBLE! Everything that I ate tasted amazing!! The service was great, and the ambiance was simple. Here's a list of everything I ordered, with ratings attached. 43 roll 4/5 44 roll. 5/5 Thanh roll 3/5 LaVui special Banh Mi 5/5 Beef Flat noodle 5/5 The 43 roll and Thanh roll weren't bad, they just didn't compare to the 44 roll. The 44 roll was by far the BEST. I still left the 5 star review because everything was DELICIOUS, the only reason I rated 3/5 and 4/5 was to give reference of the best sushi to the great sushi I had. Overall It was a great experience and I'll definitely be back for more.
google avatar

Lara B.

Yelp
Small unassuming establishment near denton drive and maple avenue located under dart rail overpass If I didn't read past reviews I would pass them by THAT WOULD BE A MISTAKE the food is amazing Flavorful and great portions The service friendly fast and attentive It's a quaint neighborhood Space with a cute patio for nice days I saw a lot of regulars placing orders and with good reason This place is great and I will def return
google avatar

Nhi P.

Yelp
Pretty good phở, but they give too much noodle and not enough meat. I do recommend their bò lúc lắc.

Sidney F.

Yelp
In Dallas on business, in the mood for some Vietnamese food. Checked Yelp and decided to give them a try based on reviews. Atmosphere - loud, the kitchen is right there. Smelled delicious! Service - couldn't be better. Fast and friendly Food - I ordered the shrimp spring rolls and the grilled pork vermicelli bowl. Too much food! The rolls were delicious and fresh. The dipping sauce was very tasty although I added a little chili sauce. The vermicelli bowl came with grilled pork and a fried spring roll. The fish sauce was excellent and the veggies in the bowl complemented the other ingredients. Would return
google avatar

Lon V.

Yelp
I looked at the pictures and menu and was going to go after picking my wife up from Love Field this afternoon. Then I saw the %20 add on charge. I normally add a 20% tip, but I am not going anyplace that requires it no matter how good the service and food is.
google avatar

Rue N.

Yelp
Had a family member in the hospital at UTSW and wanted to grab them some hot soup instead of hospital food. Settled on pho after seeing La Vui was on the way. This is a pretty nondescript spot (drove right by it initially) but I walked in and it was packed with a lunch time crowd. Love the completely open kitchen and casual vibe of this place. And the smells are so mouthwatering! We ordered chicken pho for the patient, edamame and beef noodles. Everything tasted great, but wish there was a bit more heat to the pho. I asked about pepper when grabbing my takeout since the tables had sriracha and other spicy condiments and was assured it was all in the bag. The herb bundle for the pho came with sliced fresh jalapeños but I was also hoping for some single serving packets of some of the other condiments. Pretty minor but worth noting for the heat lovers. Overall, everything was well cooked and we got our food quickly. Will opt to dine-in next time for the full experience.
google avatar

Fredrick D.

Yelp
LaVui Restaurant I definitely recommend this place it was very good. You can tell by the pictures alone the food was made like I was in a gourmet restaurant. Chicken fried rice is the best I've ever had to this day. When people find out about this place they are going to stay packed.
google avatar

Suzi F.

Yelp
My husband and I had to go to UT Southwestern and were starving but wanted something healthy and this place fit the bill. The pho luckily was full of lean meat, and the broth was exceptional. Will come back!
google avatar

Kim N.

Yelp
Tasty banh mi, but overpriced and small. Decent Vietnamese food for Dallas, but if I had the time, I would drive out to the suburbs for more affordable and authentic Viet food. Service was a little slow for banh mi. Indoor seating is small but cozy, parking lot is also small but I haven't had issues with it.
google avatar

Christine W.

Yelp
We tried their Smoked Beef Brisket Bahn Mi and their Roasted Duck Bahn Mi. The fillings and meats were marinated wonderfully and tasted lovely. The Bahn Mi bread was toasted a little more than my personal preference would have liked, but the sandwich was still delightful. The other classics (spring roll and pho) were also fantastic. It's a small, busy restaurant with lovely people who still ensured fast and friendly service!
google avatar

Evelyn C.

Yelp
10/10! Visiting Dallas from San Antonio and almost every place closes by 9pm on Sunday. This place was 1 mile from where I was staying and best decision to go eat here. I highly recommend it, it's a small cute place inside, and the food was amazing! Service was great, very attentive to what you need. It can get a little pricey, but worth it! Will definitely become a go to when in Dallas!
google avatar

Mohammad-Ali S.

Yelp
Good food, polite staff, service is timely. I would come back again/have gone back many times. The bread for the banh mi is just incredible.

Mike E.

Yelp
Chicken vermicelli--They need to please let the chef know that lately the last couple of visits the chicken in it was grisly --please use quality chicken!!
google avatar

Tiara A.

Yelp
All I have to say is the beef flat noodles is so good, it's all I've ordered here my DoorDash is always delivered hot which speaks to the service of the restaurant. Ambiance is humble, but who cares the food is amazing.
google avatar

Cindy C.

Yelp
I'm seriously questioning who rated this horrendous restaurant with 4 stars? This place is a complete INSULT to the amazing Vietnamese owned and operated spots all over DFW. Stand outs like Pho Bang with their unmatched customer service down to the sweet Vietnamese grandmothers to Pho Bac with their Kobe beef and huge smiles when serving. I paid almost $17 for two SLICES of bo vien (meatballs), SCRAPS OF BEEF TOO THICK TO COOK IN THE BROTH. & 4 tiny pieces of overcooked brisket. OMG!!! I dressed the flavorless broth (I've had better made from 3 minute instant noodle packets) with the measly packets of sauces and couldn't even ingest it. Tried to offer it to my dogs and they stared like WTH??? Who is keeping this mediocre place in business??? I hate to drive to Richardson, but I have no choice. This place is ROBBERY!!! Do not waste your money!!!! I don't just want my money back (and the boba we added at pick up was just as mediocre), I want my Yelp star back, too!!!!
google avatar

T A.

Yelp
Picked up dinner from here yesterday. Food was good, the tofu banh mi is pretty delicious and the cheapest meal on their menu. The edamame was ok, there were some glass noodles or something mixed in. The reason for a 4 star is I got a Taro milk tea with boba and the boba was hard as rocks. It must have been at least 2 days old? I picked up food around 7pm so it wasn't a late day meal. Service was quick and easy. It's a really nice little spot, the setup of the tables and inner and outdoor sections add a lot of the vibes.
google avatar

Emily T.

Yelp
Ordered grilled pork rib rice dish and grilled pork rice dish. The rib was extremely dry and tough like it had been sitting for days. I couldn't eat it. As for the grilled pork the dish is very plain. There was no grilled marks, tasted very bland, and there was a lot of fat that had to be trimmed. The Thai tea was the only thing that tasted right. Was little surprised at check out by an additional 10% service fee when bill came out. Bottom line is food is over priced and tasted gross. Over $50 for 2 portion that we threw 90% away as it old and gross. The little food we did just ate is upsetting our stomach.

Vasant D.

Yelp
Average food / nothing outstanding Had the shaken beef and the chicken with noodles. Both were bland and the beef was fatty. Service was again just average - wait time was good. Ambiance was below average - cramp is the word I would use to describe searing inside Would probably not go back.
google avatar

Robin F.

Yelp
The curry is amazing and well priced. I prefer white meat and they are happy to accommodate me! The chicken fried rice is tasty and plentiful. The place is small and cozy.
google avatar

Jessy C.

Yelp
Our favorite authentic local spot. We recently had the pleasure of swinging by and it was everything we wanted and more. We ordered the spicy edamame as well as shrimp + pork spring rolls as appetizers. We then followed with the Chicken Garlic Noodles & Tofu Vermicelli. So so delicious and wholesome. Employees are very kind and offer great, intimate, service. Thank you La Vui.
google avatar

Tiarelei W.

Yelp
LaVui never disappoints! This is my go to Vietnamese Resturant near my house. Everything we've had has been fantastic. Our typically go to's include: -Handmade dumplings (MUST TRY) -Grilled pork banh mi -Beef flat noodle -Combo vermicelli bowl -combo pho -Taro milk tea with boba They are pricey for a Vietnamese Resturant (hence the 4 stars) but they are consistent which is worth the money. You gotta try it!
google avatar

Taylor D.

Yelp
I have been to LaVui about 4 times now. It's a cute little Viatnamese restaurant in the medical district and open late! I have had many things on the menu and each time, it is fantastic. This time, we started off with the Mother LaVui spring roll. Now I am NOT a picky eater, but for some reason I don't particularly enjoy the texture of a regular rolled spring roll, LaVui cuts them up like little pieces of sushi and for some reason, to me, makes it 10000 times more amazing. More texture, flavor, and additions. I could probably have eaten 3 orders. For our main course we had the Clay Pot Black Cod. The sauce was TO DIE FOR. Savory and a little sweet, perfect for a bland fish like Cod. It was served in a small soup pot. I definitely recommend. One of my favorite highlights of the menu is the Shaken Beef. It is so tender, flavorful, and it comes with veggies and rice. Please check this place out! It's a hidden gem.
google avatar

Wael N.

Yelp
My favorite Vietnamese restaurant! Shaking Beef.. laVui tower as well. Always fresh and delicious

Josh P.

Yelp
This is place is amazing. It is the sister place of Oishii they have more Vietnamese food but also carry some of your favorite sushi dishes from Oishii. The staff is great nice and friendly. They do take reservations it does get packed during the weekends but during the week it's a steady flow. The place is nice and cozy. So if you're in the neighborhood give them a try also if Oishii is packed come down to the sister place and you will still get the same great food.
