Didn’t get to see a lot of animals but our guide was fabulous and very entertaining. If you're a nature and animal lover like me, this is a must visit place. P.S. Be aware of monkeys. They frequently attack travellers and try to snatch personal belongings. One almost bit me.

Great starting point for getting used to hiking. You can see উল্লুক, হনুমান, বানর, খাসিয়া পল্লি and many more things. Its kinda like a small or lite version of Sundarban. And you cant miss the iconic rail track if you come here. Highly recommended if you ever set foot in Sreemangal

This is probably the third time I’m here to enjoy this serene beauty. As a nature and tree lover myself, I was overwhelmed by the park’s lush greenery and diverse flora. Walking through the dense forest, I was enchanted by the vibrant shades of green, the rustling of leaves, and the occasional sighting of wildlife, including various species of snakes. The natural beauty of Lawachara, with its serene environment and rich biodiversity, left an indelible impression on me, making it a must-visit destination for anyone who cherishes the wonders of nature. Lawachara National Park, nestled in the Moulvibazar District of northeastern Bangladesh, is a paradise for nature enthusiasts and tree lovers.

I recently visited Lawachara National Park, and let me tell you, it was an experience to remember! Nestled in the Moulvibazar region, this place is like stepping into another world—lush green forests, cool air, and the constant chirping of birds. It’s the perfect escape if you’re craving some peace and quiet away from the city chaos. One of the highlights of my visit was walking along the scenic trails. The towering trees and the dappled sunlight created an almost magical vibe. And yes, I did spot some wildlife! Seeing the famous Hoolock Gibbons in their natural habitat was such a treat. There’s something so peaceful about just standing there and listening to the sounds of nature around you. Here’s something cool for all the movie buffs: parts of the movie Around the World in 80 Days were shot here! It’s fun to imagine how this tranquil forest turned into a cinematic wonderland. Standing at the exact spots where scenes were filmed was such a surreal feeling—I couldn’t help but take a few photos of my own “movie moments.” I also learned about the local Khasi community living nearby. They’re incredibly warm and welcoming. It was fascinating to hear about their traditions and how they live so harmoniously with nature. If you’re into nature, photography, or just want to breathe in some fresh air, Lawachara is the place to go. I highly recommend hiring a guide because they know all the best spots and can point out things you might otherwise miss. Plus, their stories about the park make the walk even more interesting. Whether you’re there for the nature, the history, or the movie trivia, Lawachara National Park has something for everyone. It’s definitely worth a visit!
