Best Sports Bars in Dallas | Eater Dallas

"This spot on Henderson quickly became the go-to for East siders who don’t want to schlep over to the Katy Ice House. It’s also a popular hang for SMU fans and football lovers in general. For those warm winter days, the expansive outdoor area is the place to be." - Kevin Gray

I witnessed one of your employees become physically and verbally aggressive toward several patrons, myself included. Specifically, I observed him grab a man by the throat, slam him to the ground, and repeatedly strike him in the face in the hallway near the bathrooms. During this altercation, he also collided with several women who were standing in line for the restroom. Following the assault, he approached a female bystander, yelling in her face and putting his hands on her. At the time, this employee was not wearing any identification indicating that he worked for Lawnies, so many of us initially assumed he was intoxicated. When he returned to the same hallway and stood near me, shouting about the incident, I calmly asked why he had put his hands on a woman. In response, he entered the women’s restroom, physically confronting and grabbing multiple women while stating that we were “kicked out” and “done for.” I was pulled out of the restroom by him in an aggressive manner, and afterward he continued banging on stall doors attempting to remove other women. This individual’s behavior was violent, unprovoked, and deeply disturbing. No one involved had been acting aggressively toward him. I strongly urge Lawnies to investigate this matter immediately. Someone who behaves in such an aggressive and unsafe manner toward patrons should not be employed in a position representing your business. Attaching a photo of said employee who needs to be fired.

Phenomenal hospitality and care. Customer service is amazing. Dylan went above and beyond to create the utmost impressionable interaction and consideration and extend accommodations to my handicap partner and even remembered us after our first visit. From the bouncer at the door to the bartenders, the entire staff is friendly, welcoming and warm. We are happy to consider ourselves new frequent patrons at this lovely inclusive venue especially for our Sunday night watch part for Love Island.

Brand new and already a need-to-be-here Dallas staple!!! Primarily all outdoor space with so much attention to detail to make it the best patio in the city. Lots of TVs, fans and misters, super attentive and friendly bar staff as well as amazing playlists. Vibes on vibes!!!

I’m deeply disturbed by the way this establishment’s staff treats its patrons, including several women and myself. Without any provocation while entering a crowded hallway, I was shoved by one of your male staff and told I was “kicked out”. This staff member then physically assaulted another guest, grabbing him by the throat, knocking him to the ground, and punching him in the face, all because he tried to intervene. When I sought help from another staff member, he told me there was nothing he could do since he did not see it happen, all while the aggressive staff member was entering the women’s restroom, banging on stall doors, and forcing women out. Then, instead of receiving any explanation or assistance, I was aggressively told to leave and was escorted out. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable and shows a complete lack of safety, professionalism, and accountability. I strongly urge others, especially women, to think twice before coming here.

I had one of the worst experiences imaginable at Lawnies. A man who we later learned was a bouncer (he wasn’t wearing any visible identification) physically assaulted multiple people, including women outside of the women’s bathroom. He then entered the women’s bathroom, banged on stall doors, and screamed at terrified women inside. It was a completely unsafe and traumatic situation. To make things even worse, he physically attacked a man who hadn’t done anything wrong, leaving him bleeding from the head. There was no accountability, no visible management intervention, and no concern for anyone’s safety. This establishment clearly does not prioritize the safety of its patrons, especially women. I would strongly urge anyone — especially women — to avoid Lawnies until they take real action to ensure the safety and professionalism of their staff. I am attaching a photo of the staff member who needs to be fired.

When we first walked in we had to pay a $10 cover charge each person wouldn't be bad, but i watched them deny reentry of a couple of guys who already had wrist bands. Go to the bar and the bartenders were actually really quick, but 20 dollars for a watered down long island was highly disappointed and a waste of time and money. Went to a bar a couple blocks away and their long island was 12 dollars and delicious. Would've rather been at a dive bar or the truck yard

To Nicki M and Georgia N who left bad reviews about the club security Friday 10/31…. I was there that night and saw what actually happened. The person being talked about was taking care of business and trying to remove a girl who was pushing and starting trouble with other women. The situation was being handled to keep everyone safe. The person who wrote this comment was actually the one causing problems and creating the scene.

I was present at the time of the incident being described, and I want to clarify what actually occurred. The staff member in question was acting appropriately and fulfilling their responsibility to maintain a safe and orderly environment for all guests. The individual being removed was actively pushing and instigating conflict with several women inside the establishment, creating a disruptive and unsafe situation for others nearby. What may have appeared as aggression was in fact an effort to de-escalate and remove the individual who was causing the disturbance. The staff member’s actions were measured and intended solely to restore order and protect other patrons from potential harm. Unfortunately, the reviewer appears to have been directly involved in the confrontation and is presenting a misleading version of events. From what I witnessed, the person making this complaint was the one who initiated much of the commotion. It’s important to understand that staff are trained to respond quickly in these situations to prevent escalation and ensure everyone’s safety, which was exactly what took place that evening.

Yelp
I had a really disappointing experience at this bar. First off, the bouncers were more interested in flirting with girls than managing the line. It was frustrating to see them letting some people in before others, all while drinking on the job. After waiting an hour just to get inside at 8 o'clock, we finally ordered a regular margarita, but what we received was a spicy margarita that tasted overwhelmingly like Malibu Rum. It was by far the worst drink I've ever had. Save your time and money--there are much better places to go.

Yelp
Wish I could rate zero. They threatened to kick me out because my licensed service dog "couldn't be on the outside turf". She is a licensed trained service dog that can board any plane but yet she can't even step foot on the lawn at lawnies. Insane. This place is not dog friendly and apparently doesn't abide by federal service dog laws. I stopped trying to explain to them that they were wrong when they got aggressive and threatened to kick me out. This is after I offered to show her paperwork. Completely illegal actions on their part and boneheaded business ownership. Tells you everything about the ownership.

Yelp
Cool patio vibes but we went here on a Thursday Night to watch NFL, paid $18 for parking, and got laughed at by the bartender when we asked if they had any Non-Alcoholic options such as Heineken 0.0 or anything similar. She laughed and said "I can give you some juice". Plus the TVs were lagging so badly that we left to go next door to Mayer's where they were actually playing the sound for the game, TVs worked and they had Non-Alcoholic beers/ cocktails options.

Yelp
If you're just trying to find a place with drinks and tvs to watch sports, this hits the spot. Keep your expectations in the right spot and you'll have a good time.

Yelp
Love this place. The staff is SO friendly & accommodating. Thankful for another bar in this area that has a good football watching area. The stadium seating is AWESOME. No food served but you can bring your own food in and they have food trucks. For only opening in the last week, this place has it figured out. Definitely competing with Skellig and Mayer's garden. Love it!!!!

Yelp
Great spot. They keep it cool even when it's hot outside, easy ordering and fast service. Will be returning!
