"Those in search of good Lebanese cuisine should head to Lawrence’s Cafe in Decatur. Run by Tony Chebib, who grew up in Falougha Mount-Liban, Lebanon, this congenial restaurant offers fresh, simple dishes on its menu, including emjaddara (lentils and rice), hummus and foul (cooked fava beans), a roast leg of lamb, and platters filled with meat kabobs, shrimp, and rice. The sultan’s feast is a hearty portion containing beef kebobs, kafta rolls, and falafel, served with tahini and brown rice. Lawrence’s also offers wraps and a kids menu. Don’t forget to ask about the specials." - Sarra Sedghi

I find it difficult to believe I haven’t reviewed this place long ago! Personally, I always get the platter shown below..and a fatoush (so?) salad when I’m in the mood to splurge. Tony’s selection of ingredients is always beyond compare and his humus, yoghurt and falafels figure to be as good as any I’ve had anywhere in the world—and that factors in London, New York, Paris, Chicago, San Francisco and many other “foodie” capitals...not to mention Istanbul. In fact, I simply haven’t had tabouleh or fatoush salad to equal his anywhere else. Service has always been excellent and Tony has created an ambience suitable for a quick meal or a relaxing afternoon or evening visit with friends. Don’t forget to finish your meal with one of his eminently satisfying Lebanese/Turkish coffees.

Tasty authentic Lebanese foods right here in Decatur! Flavorful, tender meats. Good size servings. Plenty of seating. Parking can be tricky but off hours you miss the crowd and can get right in.

This place is awesome! I love the seasonings and both times I’ve been, the food has been out very quick. Think this is my new favorite spot in the area.

Delicious!! The first time i did a pick up order (pandemic) and the employees were so nice and thankful. I think the owner was also there who was really kind and conversations with customers. Getting Lawrence’s falafels and garlic sauce takes me back to the amazing food I grew up eating in MI, where we were lucky to have so many great authentic Lebanese, Iraqi, and Chaldean restaurants growing up. Go and try everything, you won’t be disappointed! So lucky to have this place in Decatur.

Simple, delicious flavors. Well done. My husband says this was one of the best meals he has ever had! Falafel was perfect. Tabbouleh was flavorful. Hummus was delicious. I enjoyed my gyro and we will certainly be back!

A cozy spot with an understated location and appearance. This restaurant has phenomenal food and a pleasant/easy going staff. Their selection is large, but not overwhelming. You will not be disappointed. I don't often eat French fries, but this place has the BEST fries you can find anywhere.

Shocking.. based on the above reviews I went to this place guessing it was a really good place! The food is well below average if not horrendous ... the grape leaf was probably frozen from a good while ago, has mushy texture and bland. I made a mistake of also ordering a fish plate: the fish is not spiced as usually done in Middle Eastern cuisines, has 0 salt and the side rice was inedible (could not eat it). The owners need to reconsider the way they run this restaurant.. frozen food/ not fresh. The waitress looked unhappy (may be she had a bad day) Will definitely not go back and wanted to share this with everyone!

Their Babganush is the best I have ever had! I have going to and ordering from them since they were in their old location on Buford Highway. My family loves their food! Everything on the menu taste great and they have a lot of vegetarian options. I highly recommend this restaurant!
