Came in today around 1pm with friends, we were immediately greeted kindly and seated. Our server, Sylvie was so kind with us and attentive to all of our needs! Would love to have her again as she was polite and friendly, as well as this other man who’s name I didn’t catch but he was bald! They were both sweet. The food was genuinely a 10/10, well seasoned, fresh seafood, this is honestly the best restaurant Ive had on this whole strip by the beach. The shrimp & lobster mac n cheese was amazing and I will definitely be back for it, the burger was not overcooked and juicy and the tacos are a must try as well. We’re here on vacation so I definitely would stop back in before leaving :)

Stopped in for lunch today while visiting Isle of Palms after someone in our group recommended it from a previous visit. There’s a good amount of seating inside, plus some tables and a small bar area outside. The back patio even has a boardwalk that leads to the beach, and you can catch glimpses of the ocean from there — a nice touch. We chose to sit outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. Our waitress was super friendly and took great care of us, even bringing an umbrella out to our table when we asked. We started with a couple of drinks, which were good, and shared some appetizers: the hush puppies with honey butter and the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese. The hush puppies were delicious, and the honey butter added the perfect sweet touch. Unfortunately, we weren’t fans of the fried green tomatoes — they were cut a bit too thick and didn’t have much flavor, though the pimento cheese was tasty. For mains, the shrimp and lobster mac and cheese was a hit — rich, creamy, and loaded with lobster. The shrimp mango tacos were also a favorite, especially with the flavorful coleslaw. I went with the lobster roll and fries, and it was excellent. The lobster was chilled and topped with a light butter sauce, all in a soft, fresh roll. I’d absolutely order it again. Overall, we had a great experience here and would definitely come back next time we’re in town!

Great atmosphere, fast and friendly service. Tasty dishes with custom made drinks. Our server Eddie S. was on it to keep our drinks flowing and get our meals to us hot and the way we orderd. The outside area extends right out to the beach shore. Drinks and meals can be enjoyed in the outside area or at the out doors bar. Service in both areas keep the party going strong. Thanks to our server and the staff for ensuring we were having a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.

Google
Food is exceptional, as well as customer service & hospitality. The general manager Chris went above and beyond to provide recommendations on food . Try the catfish bites, crab cakes and collared greens. Everything was perfectly seasoned and no salt or pepper needed especially the greens and crab cakes 🥵. Danielle the bartender was also a sweetheart and made great drinks. Will be back again!

Google
The super pleasant atmosphere is ideal for buying food if you want to go to the seafront or be inside the restaurant. It is at least super delicious. I bought two hamburgers for my daughters and they were delicious. I recommend them 100%

Google
Best on IOP front beach!! Our family of 4 tried every restaurant on the beachfront during our trip, and this was the BEST by far! The outside atmosphere was great, fun vibe. The food was fantastic: oysters, lobster roll, fried shrimp, shrimp tacos…all amazing. The reason this gets all 5-stars is the service. Eddie S. was phenomenal! He took great care of us, helped us with menu recommendations, checked on us regularly, helped us with our 2 young kids, and chatted with us about our trip. He was very friendly and welcoming, and seemed genuinely happy to serve us. That is hard to find these days in restaurants!! Highly recommend this great beach-front restaurant if you’re in IOP!

Google
I ate at this establishment recently and was very impressed! The food, the people, and the atmosphere were amazing! Had a chance to speak with Sam and had a pleasant conversation. It’s nice that the employees care about their customers and took a few moments to carry a conversation with us, you don’t get that everywhere else these days. Our server Dani was the absolute sweetest and provided amazing service to us as well! Kudos to this establishment, keep up the great work! We will definitely be back!

Google
My husband and I decided to come here after a morning on the beach. The fried catfish bites sold me. Nova was our server and made a perfect Palm Paloma for me. We shared apps, catfish bites, bang bang shrimp and hush puppies. Everything was fried to perfection. We will be returning when we come back to visit later this year. Thank you Nova for the amazing experience.

Yelp
Pros: -Access to patio bar and beach front view -Friendly staff -Fried Calamari / dipping sauce -Kids Burger & fries -Overpriced for quality of food -Reservations not required Cons: -No A/C - very warm inside -Cramped seating areas inside -Over use of Old Bay seasoning ruined several dishes

Yelp
Here from out of town. Wanted a beachfront view but the patio was closed. We went ahead and sat inside. Food was mediocre, lacked flavor, and the small portions. Service was the same. Overpriced, left feeling unsatisfied.
google avatar

Bruce J.

Yelp
Food was horribly mediocre. Tried to find a good seafood restaurant and somehow ended up here. Calamari was decent, everything else was trash and really expensive. Had a long hair in my food (like cooked and mixed in), and the guy tried to tell me it fell out of a palm tree that we weren't even sitting near. Come on, don't try to BS me when I wasn't even making a big deal out of it. Most of us didn't even finish our food. Outdoor bar was a nice feature, drinks OK. Service was decent. But food was so bad, we all would never go back

Yelp
We were really hoping to have a good experience here being in the Isle of Palms area. Unfortunately, the food was cold, the sauce on the lobster and shrimp mac & cheese was way too salty, the grits on the shrimp and grits were doughy and cold, and didn't taste very good. Also, it was very expensive. Honestly tasted like the food have been microwaved.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Cool boardwalk to the beach. Plus our waitress was really good. Some of the food was good. We like the appetizers (fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese, and fried catfish). The fish tacos and shrimp tacos were a hit. The shrimp and grits were a disappointment. The lobster Mac was OK.

Yelp
Greated immediately on a hot day and were able to snag some seats at the bar. They had live music and it was chill vibe with a mixture of music. We ordered some apps to share and just enjoyed the music, view of the water and the weather. Our bartender was sweet and very personable. Enjoyed our visit.

Yelp
Stopped in here on an early Sunday evening, it was not busy, only one big table. We sat at the indoor bar because it was a bit chilly/windy outside unfortunately. There was apparently only one person on staff that evening, who was the bartender. He seemed pretty down-to-earth, and attentive at first (but not his fault that he was as much later, since it got very busy and it was only him). But for a Sunday, understaffed. We ordered the hush puppies for an appetizer and did not know what to think knowing it would come with honey butter....but OMG....it was delicious! We would've never thought. It was literally butter with the honey all over the top of it and you dip your hush puppies in there if you want. We also had the breaded shrimp which was told it was good because the breading was not heavy. I had the lobster roll. Which stated fresh "chilled" lobster. Chilled it was not. More like room temp unfortunately, and the lobster pieces were small. Very chopped up. It also had a big roll, although toasted nicely, had to tear a lot of it off. The fries that came with the meals were spot on though.

Yelp
First time in SC. Wound up here. Good experience. Food and beverages were solid. Service from Eddie was outstanding. Made us feel right at home. THANK YOU

Yelp
You can't beat the location, the history and food here. All local seafood, great selection of local and national beer, but only in cans, no draft brews. It's a small place, but has an outside bar with a boardwalk to the beach. The grouper sandwich was delicious, paired with braised collard greens and a side salad. The other dish we tried was the shrimp n grits. I'm a shrimp and grits, connoisseur and the shrimp and grits here specifically, the shrimp was over spiced with too much old bay and salt. The grits were local, creamy, and delicious, so if you decide to get em, tone down the old bay.

Yelp
Don't waste your time... Tourist trap Not clean Horrible food and service! Much better places on the coast and in Mt pleasant than here!

Yelp
We went here for lunch and sat at the outdoor bar. The service was great and the food was good. We had a chicken wrap and fish tacos, everything was fresh and tasty. We met some nice people at the bar and enjoyed some conversation over drinks. Nice ambiance.

Diane B.

Yelp
Highly recommend our server Jeff was fantastic, so nice, recommendations were so good. Fried GREEN Tomatoes with pinto sauce phenominal and my salad with shrimp so tasty.

Yelp
I would give this place a 4/5 Food - loved my food. Got the lobster roll $30. Kind of pricey, but I really enjoyed it. Flavor was really yummy. Family said they liked what they got too. I'm not a fries person, but the fries were amazing! Brother got the nachos and they were A LOT. Great for a big family to share. Service - our waiter was nice. Had to wait a bit for the food, but he was very nice and welcoming. Ambiance - went at night, so we couldn't see the water because it was dark, but I believe if you went during daytime hours you can see the ocean. There was a DJ there - DJ Cruiseship - and he was awesome. He didn't play music super loud or distracting, but it was a nice add on as we ate our meal. We sat outside which I preferred over the inside. Overall, loved the food and sitting outside :)

Yelp
Great oceanfront deck. Had fried shrimp with fries and slaw. Everything was delicious. Service was great. Nice ambiance.

Yelp
Great outdoor patio for dining. Your view is of the ocean. They have live entertainment on the outdoor deck. Everyone was having a great time dancing, drinking and dining. Our server was great once they figured out who was going to wait on us as we sat without being greeted for about 10 minutes. Food was amazing! I had the mahi sandwich.

Yelp
I had a friend in town and we went to IOP to catch some rays. The sun was so hot that day so we bailed after only a couple hours. In order to avoid the traffic rush, we opted to take in an early dinner at Lawrence's. It's been on my radar for a while, but I don't get to IOP too often these days. We walked in to some ice cold AC which was very welcome on a hot day and sat at a booth by the door. The woman who seated us was super friendly and had a great personality. Unfortunately, she was serving other tables and our server seemed annoyed and unhappy to be working that day. My favorite was when he dropped off our entrees we asked for a refill on a water and for a glass of wine. He said said sure and that he had to take an order. He then walked over to a nine top and took everyones order before just getting the drinks. So we had to wait at least 10 mins after we got our food. After he brought the drinks we never saw him again until check time and he focused only on the large table. I had high hopes for the food and was looking forward to the lobster roll which two of us got. One with fries and one with the bacon ranch macaroni salad. The sides were both average and the fries were cold. The lobster roll wasn't bad, but for that price it was a lobster salad which is cheaping out. It should be stuffed with lobster at that price point. I did really enjoy the bang bang shrimp though. If I was at the beach and wanted apps and drinks I would come back for that. Otherwise, the entrees were overpriced and underwhelming plus the service was lacking.

Yelp
Absolute best lobster roll in Charleston! So simple and delicious. Cool bar vibe inside and great beach views outside, often with live music!
google avatar

Yelp
A true gem on the beach front with a great vibe inside and outside. Pros Great location on Isle of palms Food pricing is average Calamari was good along with tacos and fries. Server provided excellent customer service View is beautiful with a walking bridge to the beach. Live music for bunch on Sunday No cons everything was as expected for a beachfront restaurant.
google avatar

Kelly R.

Yelp
DO NOT GET THE CATFISH BITES. They taste like dirt. Service is really good though. Rest of the food was meh.

Bella S.

Yelp
Great food and a nice atmosphere! I had the school of shrimp grilled with fries it was SO good and a lot of food! All the staff was super friendly would 100% go back.
google avatar

Sarina P.

Yelp
Frozen margarita was good! The nachos were not good at all. They were extremely spicy, but also strange tasting. They tasted fragrant/floral.. maybe cooked in sunflower oil? Not sure, but the taste was off. My husband got the shrimp tacos which were mediocre.
google avatar

Yelp
Food: A We had the Lawrence's version of a bang bang shrimp appetizer. It was perfectly cooked coated in a sweet and spicy chili sauce and served on a nice fresh bed of thinly sliced iceberg lettuce. We also had the Crab Cakes and really enjoyed both dishes. Service: A We were there during happy hour and sat at the bar. Bar service was fast and friendly. The cook even popped out of the kitchen to ensure we were satisfied with his dishes. Haven't seen that in a long time. Nice touch. Ambiance: B Very casual and slightly divey The weather was cool and foggy so not a lot of activity. It is likely more lively during nicer weather. Likelihood of a return visit: Pretty sure.

Yelp
Literally the most amazing service, and really good food. Our server was so attentive from the moment we walked in, we had waters, he was offering recommendations and was constantly making sure our drinks were filled. The patio right next to the ocean beach was absolutely wonderful for this of us coming from snow! We enjoyed amazing lunch baskets, myself the fried scallops, my husband having the fish if the day at the server's recommendation, which was unicorn fish. It was a delicious, firm white fish that he told us after we chose it that it was his absolute favorite fish. We could see why! You get so much food with the baskets, hush puppies, fries, slaw plus several options of protein in multiple sizes. For the price we both thought it was well worth it. After lunch, we used the boardwalk to head right out onto the beach. If we ever get back to IOP, we'll definitely return to Lawrence's!

Yelp
Five Star View and Service Two-star Food. The wife and I both enjoyed the atmosphere and great service we received from Lawrence seafood company. Sitting outside provided great views of the Atlantic Ocean especially if you are lucky enough to snag one of the tables close to the beach. . In addition to outside table seating, there is also a very nice bar to sit and eat at. You also have an option to eat inside at a second bar, or inside the table should the weather not cooperate. Everyone in the restaurant was super friendly, as we were spoken to by the entire staff with warm greetings as we walked by them. The food we ordered on the other hand did not match the great view and service. We both ordered the Lobster Roll, with the wife getting fries and I getting Brussels sprouts for our side. The wife loved the fires so much that she did not use ketchup, which is one of the only times she has done that in the 45 years, we have been together. The Brussels sprouts were fried and served with a sweet bacon mustard sauce was good but a tad too sweet for my liking. The Lobster rolls had the opportunity to be good but turned out to be a huge disappointment. There was plenty of Lobster meat served at a perfectly chilled temperature. However, what we thought was going to be a mayonnaise-based sauce turned out to be some type of not-a-very-good mustard sauce that totally overwhelmed the Lobster. The split buttered bun was large which allowed it to hold a large portion of meat, but missed the mark because the inside of the bun was not grilled. I really wanted to love this place and we might give it another shot, but I will stay far away from the Lobster roll

Lynn P.

Yelp
Our server Melissa and Josh rocked our world. Our food and drinks were amazing !!!!!

Philip S.

Yelp
Great atmosphere wonderful lobster rolls. Nice people. Reasonably priced. Next to beach

Yelp
A Big Thank You to Hunter at Lawrence's Seafood Company - A Truly Standout Experience! During our family's recent spring break trip to Charleston, SC, we stayed at an oceanfront hotel on Isle of Palms. On our last night, the hotel recommended we try Lawrence Seafood Company, conveniently located right next door. It's a perfect spot for beachside dining laid-back, scenic, and exactly what we needed to end our trip on a high note. It was a Tuesday night, a little after 9 PM close to their 10 PM closing time and we were on the fence about eating since we were still full from earlier in the day. But we're so glad we went! Hunter, our server, greeted us with a warm smile and immediately made us feel welcome. Despite the late hour, he was kind, patient, and incredibly attentive. He gave us thoughtful menu recommendations without rushing us and truly went above and beyond to make our meal enjoyable. A few days after we returned home to Atlanta, our teenage daughter realized she was missing her mini Tory Burch wallet and sunglasses. We called the restaurant, and guess who answered? Hunter! He confirmed the items had been found and made sure we were the rightful owners before arranging to have them shipped back to us via FedEx. Talk about going the extra mile, he truly didn't have to do that, but he did it without hesitation. It's rare to come across someone so genuine and dependable. Oh, and the food? Absolutely fantastic! The Spicy Mango Shrimp Tacos were incredible, my daughter loved her Chicken Sliders, and my husband's Fish Tacos hit the spot. The atmosphere was lively and fun we were all jamming to trending country hits while enjoying our food and soaking in the beach vibes. There are still good people in the world, and Hunter R. is definitely one of them. From his exceptional service at the table to his honesty and kindness afterward, he's a stand-up guy and a true asset to Lawrence Seafood Company. If you ever find yourself on Isle of Palms, ask for Hunter at Lawrence Seafood Company you won't be disappointed! Thanks again, Hunter! Cheers from A. Edwards, Atlanta

Yelp
Complete tourist trap. Very poor service. Expensive. Small quantities. Very average food. Crammed. Hidden service fee. There are much better options nearby!

Ashlyn L.

Yelp
Our server Nova was so kind! He was very attentive, and even brought us the extras to our frozen drinks because they made too much! The food was yummy as well! Only issue we had was our booth was under the air conditioner, and kept dripping water on us! Menus on the table for specials and features were also sticky and had food on them.

Karen M.

Yelp
Do not eat here. My husband and I got the jumbo shrimp. Shrimp was the size of a quarter and tough and burnt. Another person in our party got bang bang shrimp with side salad which was a pile of brown shredded lettuce (nothing else). My niece got chicken fingers that had a huge hair in it. Furniture was old. Table was moldy. Only good thing I can say is service was good.

John H.

Yelp
Arizsa is the most awesome waitress and the honey sauce for the hush puppies was the sh#t.

Kevin W.

Yelp
Not a bad location and atmosphere but the issues started with apps arriving but being told there is no silverware. Got past that and the Shrimp and Grits entree arrived completely dry and cold. So disappointing. They did quickly take the dish back and attempt to fix, it just wasn't a good dish. I had the crab cakes which were mid at best. It's right off the beach so if you're looking good dining experience keep it moving past this place.
google avatar

Jon G.

Yelp
Well if you like rubbery shrimp and shredded bland cabbage disguised as coleslaw, I have the place for you! Also don't look around the bathroom there is some hidden spooky items that will scare you. Yeah. Just not good. Move onto the next. Sorry Lawrence pay a bit (lot) more attention to your restaurant and staff.

Chuck E.

Yelp
Outstanding service by Nova! Food is excellent and atmosphere is great! We eat here every year when we vacation, sometimes a couple times in a week. Never had a bad experience.

Shelly S.

Yelp
We had been told good things about this place, so we thought we would try it. What a good decision. We had the shrimp and grits, Brussels sprouts, and smash burger. Everything was fantastic! The shrimp and grits were the best we've ever had, and the prices were fantastic, server was very nice and the chief was exceptional. We would highly recommend this restaurant

Yelp
My boyfriend's brother was in town with his yankee girlfriend. She wanted us to go to this Lawrence's Seafood restaurant. She said they have good lobster rolls. We went there. From the start, I didn't like our server. He came over, handed us menus or something, then said he'd be right back with our waters. He left quickly and I told the table that I didn't want water. Apparently none of us wanted water. Then he came back to the table and immediately went over the alcoholic beverages menu, as if we came there to get drunk. I don't even drink. I find it offensive that he went over this menu without being asked. What if I was a recovering alcoholic? This server seemed very much more like a bartender from the start. I ordered the fried shrimp that came with fries, coleslaw, and a hush puppy. No substitutions were able to be made on sides. I ordered an extra side of Brussels sprouts because they sounded very good. I got my food. It tasted alright. I had one shrimp and proceeded to eat some fries. I found a huge long piece of black hair cooked deep inside that French fry. It would not even come off the fry when I pulled on it. I was disgusted. I told the server and he asked if I wanted him to bring out another plate of that food. I asked him what the difference would be between this food and that food? It's probably all cooked together. He asked if I wanted it taken off my bill. Yes!!! He took the food from me at that point. I told him my Brussels sprouts still hadn't come out yet even though everyone else was finished eating. It took that long for the server to come check on us. I ate 3 bites before I found that hair. He did end up bringing me the Brussels sprouts. They were really good. That's all I got to eat there though. My boyfriend and his brother said that the lobster rolls were good. Just beware of bad service and hair in the food.

Yelp
Lawrence's seafood Cute little beach front restaurant with dinning inside and out. We were greeted at the front door and seated immediately. Super nice people. Servers were very accommodating. Small bar area and a menu to be liked by everyone. I had the scallop basket with fries. Others ordered the shrimp basket with Brussel sprouts and the shrimp and grits. Everything was yummy. Located on Isle of Palms. It was a quite evening, not crowded and parking was plentiful. So hungry so food didn't have a chance for photos!
google avatar

Sarah W.

Yelp
Lawrence's Seafood Company was literally next door to where we were staying so it was pretty much inevitable that we were going to either stop in or get take out. We ended up with the latter due to traveling with a 6 month old. The service was quick, friendly, and prices are reasonable. The inside looks nice as well. The food is decent but nothing amazing. It's mostly fried food that you get on the beach, so it was about what we expected. I got the lobster roll which had quite a bit of meat but a bit too much sauce for my liking. The hush puppies and ice tea were really good though. It seems like a fun place to hang out if you are able to dine in.

Shannon S.

Yelp
Great peel & eat shrimp and margaritas. Perfect for a day for a meal after going to the beach!
google avatar

Kaitlin M.

Yelp
Food was mid but excellent vibes and amazing staff. Sitting outside was wonderful and the waiter was extremely accommodating to move umbrellas for us to have shade. John T created a personal experience for us and we loved it! Again, food was nothing special but giving it 5 stars simply because of our amazing waiter.

Gil L.

Yelp
Beach side dining w/ most enjoyable food and easy staff. Variety of tasty seafood on menu, as well as tropical drinks and local brews. Anything from apps to gut busting meals, you decide at reasonable prices.

Buddy D.

Yelp
Excellent fresh food selections - outstanding service from our server Payton .... The grouper sandwich is excellent.. nice ambiance.
google avatar

Carly H.

Yelp
Service is horrible from the host to the bartender. Food is over cooked and drinks are no good. View is ok, but obviously I would not recommend.
google avatar

Laura P.

Yelp
I would recommend this restaurant for location, some dishes. Staff can vary so it depends on the night. It's next to the beach and dog friendly so major bonuses. The bang bang shrimp is my teens favorite though he needs to order two. They are part of the charkeston sports pub group.
google avatar

Nelson A.

Yelp
Went here for dinner on 19 June 23. We had nachos for an appetizer and they were by far the worst I have ever had. I had crab cakes and fries for dinner, the crab cakes were decent and the fries were decent. I ordered two blue moons. What can I say. They were blue moons. They brought them out in a plastic cup and the beer wasn't that cold. The food was way over priced for what it was. Spent $150 to feed three people. Price 2* Food 3* Ambiance 3* Cleanliness 3* Service 4*

Yelp
Our family of 6 visited Lawrence's while on a day trip to Isle of Palms. It's a short walk from the center of the island not far from the county park nearby. The service here is outstanding. The employees are prevalent and accessible. The outdoor patio is great and I recommend dining out there. The food was mostly good. I had the fish sandwich which was very good. The fish was fresh. I had it fried but I was surprised with how large a fish filet it was. I had the old bay chips and they were not great. Some were good but a lot of them were over cooked. That was mainly why I gave them 4 stars out of 5. Other things I tried from some of my family members plates were Brussels sprouts (good) and French fries (good. Better than old bay chips). I do recommend going here while at isle of palms.

Yelp
Love this place for Sunday Brunch on the Beach. Awesome Bloodies (with shrimp and crab-stuffed olives), soft shell crab sandwiches on special, and just an all-round fun atmosphere. Stephanie, our server taking great care of us !!

Yelp
This is a happening spot right on the beach at IOP. It has an outside space and tables inside too. The location is great! They have seafood, drinks and brunch too. Went with a group of four friends. We had several entrees~everything was tasty~the standout dish was the lobster roll which was delicious.
