Highly recommended! delicious food with affordable prices - the ambiance was quite nice until a large group of people came and the whole space suddenly became intolerable noisy. we had no choice but finish our meals as soon as possible. the echoes in the second floor were loud. so if you prefer silence maybe can ask a table in the ground floor when making a reservation

Lay Lao absolutely deserves its 5 stars! This crowded restaurant offers a true local experience with incredibly flavorful dishes. Be warned, it's very spicy, but oh so delicious. Their pomelo salad is a must-try, and the Phad Thai is one of the best I've ever had. It truly feels like a Michelin standard meal for such good value. Highly recommend for an authentic, spicy adventure!

I had a short 20 min wait for a table at Lay Lao a very nice family owned Hua Hin flavored restaurant in trendy Ari neighborhood. It’s 100 meters from BTS. I had the Pad Thai with fried pork skin 😍 and a Hua Hin staple Green Papaya salad. I don’t know if they toned down the spice for me as it wasn’t that spicey but both were tasty and really good under $5 each. Best Pad Thai I’ve had in Thailand. Def recommend.

The place is a three-story shop with air conditioning, comfortable for a quick stop. The food is average, but not something I’d go out of my way for. Maybe I had higher expectations since it’s Michelin awarded. The tofu has a delightful crispiness, but the half-roasted chicken didn't quite meet my expectations.The service was just average. [Updated]: I've tasted their deep fried squid and stir fried rice noodle with prawn and water mimosa it absolutely worth the price and tried. Definitely the best dishes.

Had one of our best meals in Bangkok over here. We ordered a crispy pork and papaya salad as appetizers; both were delicious. For mains, we had a veg pad thai, which was amazing, a massaman curry and rice, which was definitely one of the best massaman curry I've ever had. Highly recommend.

Lay Lao lives up to the hype. Fresh seafood and bold Isan flavors from Hua Hin — Michelin Bib Gourmand recognized. Great value, close to Ari BTS. Best to come with friends and book ahead.

This time we hit up a Michelin Guide street food spot in Bangkok — Lay Lao — for some seriously good seafood. 🦑🦀 They’ve been featured in the Michelin Guide for 8 years in a row, known for serving up fresh seafood straight from Hua Hin. We ordered their signature fried squid, grilled pork shoulder, stir-fried mixed veggies, and crab meat fried rice — everything was super fresh, well-balanced, and packed with flavor. Prices were also amazing, around 150–250 THB per dish, so it’s definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to. Solid 9/10 — Lay Lao totally deserves its Michelin status. If you love Thai seafood with a bit of heat, this one’s a must-try. 🌶️✨

A very nice restaurant that offers authentic Thai food.We booked the table in advance, as the restaurant was quite popular and can get quite busy. From the salad ,we ordered the green mango salad with raw blue crab.Definitely the best Thai salads we've eaten in Thailand. The highlight of our dinner was the mango sticky rice with coconut ice cream.The mango was sweet and the coconut ice cream was rich .We just loved it.
