I went here for a quick bite for lunch. It's right on the 89a. Parking was easy. There's a nice patio on the outside and the inside is air conditioned. The menu has a lot of delicious choices. Plenty of options for coffees teas and lattes. Amazing bread and pastries. The staff is friendly and attentive. I also love the slogans on the shirts the staff wear; " Free Gluten" and "life's what you bake it." It's a great spot!

Google
If you’re looking for breakfast, this is it! Busy and popular, with good reason! Delicious and fresh. Delicious pastries! We had avocado toast, salmon toast, and fresh baked pastries. (See pics) 10/10 Highly recommend!

Google
Quick stop for breakfast and coffee. Service was friendly and fast. Food was flavorful with nice presentation. Limited seating inside, patio seating outside. Trendy spot worth a try.

Google
Tried the Blueberry Danish, Chocolate Croissant, Iced Mocha, and Hot Chocolate – everything was spot on! The pastries were fresh, buttery, and perfectly balanced in flavor, while the drinks were rich and satisfying. This place easily makes it into my top 3 best spots for coffee and pastries. Highly recommend!

Google
Coffee is great. And the pastries are excellent. It is so rare to get a decent croissant in the US (like many things the Americans are prone to destroying) and this place is one of the rare who nail it! I visited a number of times. Butter Croissant was delicious. On the day I came when they were all sold out - I tried the almond croissant. Again - it was excellent and for once not too sweet. So often American bakers use way too much sugar to feed the sugar pandemic here. And the barista also knows his stuff. And best of all - the team working here were absolutely delightful.

Google
Great coffee and perfectly laminated croissants. The Pain au Chocolat especially was well-balanced with airy, flaky pastry and a fluffy/whipped chocolate filling. It’s a small shop with outdoor seating. Only con was that food was served before the drinks (roughly 10-minute difference). It would’ve been nice to try both together, but the flavors didn’t disappoint. Saturdays seem to be hectic, which is expected for the area.

Google
Came to Layla’s after seeing many amazing reviews. Cannot recommend the food here enough - the pastries and the baguette/butter were incredible and a must-get on your trip to Sedona. Also be sure to checkout the coffee specials!

Olga A.

Google
The sandwiches were tasty, but there was very little snack onside to the sandwich, and it didn't look very good. The coffee with honey was very tasty. Service was fast and professional. But the atmosphere inside the cafe was not very good, few tables and very cold. While the weather outside was cold too, we had to freeze outside, because inside it was even colder.

Robert M.

Yelp
The pastry was excellent, flaky and delicious! A must stop in Sedona. Very pleasant out door dining with our family. Very nice!!!

Yelp
Super cute small bakery in Sedona. The baked goods are over the top amazing! If you want a savory danish, you have to get there when the doors open. Today we got a pain au chocolat, which was still warm from the oven. The almond croissant is so buttery and delicious. The chocolate almond croissant was also delicious but the almond one was my favorite. We also got morning glory muffins and they are delicious and light and not cake like

Yelp
4 big & shiny stars! - Minus a star for being so expensive. I.E. Starting with the least expensive food items on the menu.. the macaroni/potato salad is $6. The most expensive item was a BLT Caprese that came with a salad or chips for $18.75. I couldn't decide between the chicken caesar salad for $18 or an avocado toast for $15.5. Take into account that these days, "toast" at cafes are usually just a singular, 1 slice of toast & leads my hungry self to ask, would I realistically get full? But I ordered it anyway and it was the best avocado toast I've had IML, and I order this item everywhere I go (no pic included cuz I devoured it enthusiastically). It was topped with so much tasty goodness like pickled red onion, cucumber, sprouts, tomatoes & a balsamic sauce that I liked so much I asked for extra. Do you ever eat something and still think of it a month later? Well this toast was one of those things. They also have a kids menu for $10 that includes simple items like PBJ & also a grilled cheese sando. They also have items for cleaner palates like a Power Bowl for $16.5 and other sandos for those who prefer a fuller, richer meal. Unique sounding drinks items pique my interest & excite me & this place offered a few. I was deciding between the Butterfly Pea Lemonade which is an iced deep purple blue sky colored drink for $6.50, or the Honey Bee latte which comes topped with bee pollen for $7. I really believe in all the bee pollen benefits which included immunity & energy plus I wanted something warm & espresso-y, so I chose that and it was cozy & delish. They also have other unique sounding drinks like the Bulletproof which has MCT & grass fed butter for $6 and the Turmeric Golden Latte which sounded amazingly healthy for $7. They also have the usuals like mochas & cleaner drinks like basic smoothies. If you come here you might find seating in their large front patio or their smallish indoor dining. The main debbie downer is their lines are long & consistent due to great food, so maybe you won't find any. We went out to eat to many places on our 3 day trip here in Sedona, but of all places, I definitely recommend this place the most for their great food, friendly service & unpretentious, laid back ambience. When I come back to explore another hike and the lower Antelope Canyon, I'd definitely get the avocado toast again but also want to try the highly rated & acclaimed Strawberry Salad for $15 and maybe try the Green Tea Cooler that has papaya & pomegranate & sparkling water for $6. I look forward to enjoying it at the front patio in the warm Arizona sun vs the bustling & cold-from-the-blasting-AC indoor dining area. Looking forward to going back!

Yelp
Cute, quaint, cozy, and yummy place to eat with your favorite friends! This place was highly recommended by friends who live in the area and for good reason! Wow! We got there on 9:30 a.m. on Veteran's Day, and there was already a line, so earlier the better. Plus, the pastries were selling fast. Salmon toast: 4/5 - yummy and flavorful but too small of a portion for $15.50 for just that and no fruit or anything on the side. Ham and cheese croissant: 4/5 - nice and flaky but could use more cheese, plus it was $7.25, again too pricey for what it is. Apple danish: 5/5 - yummy, sugar tasted caramelized and went well with the buttery crust Fig iced latte: 3/5 - not much fig flavor, very light, just tasted like a regular iced latte with an indescribable simple syrup. I wouldn't get it again, but the dried fig on top for garnish was cute. I tasted my friend's hot dirty chai, and THAT was fantastic: 5/5. It's a bit crowded inside. There's seating inside. The patio feels better than inside. Service was nice.

Yelp
While eager to experience Layla's, seeing pictures of this being a counter-service eatery, it initially wasn't a priority stop during our short visit to Sedona. After our first visit, confirmed by our 2nd, it is our FAVORITE for pastries (bummer that it's so far away!)!! Among the pastries we'd been fortunate to taste (based on availability) were: Almond Croissant (chock-full of filling), Dry Creek Cinnamon Roll (delicate thin layers with a delightful candied edge), and Cream Cheese Danish (with a generous dense mound of not-overly-sweet cream cheese) -- all with a delicate pastry unlike any we've experienced! I thoroughly enjoyed my savory Power Bowl, $16.50 (healthy, satisfying comfort food!). The hardworking staff is positive and friendly, visibly bustling about delivering orders and cleaning tables (in which cleaned tables are appreciatively marked with a "Sanitized" sign). Limited indoor seating within their cute-&-cozy cafe, with additional seating outdoors, many tables comfortably shaded by umbrellas. Fun for a morning stop -- one in which we shall revisit when in this area, again!

Yelp
I ordered the brown sugar cinnamon latte, and it was sooooo good! I would definitely come here again and order food as well.

Yelp
Stopped for breakfast. Very busy at 10 am. I ordered the almond croissant. It was dark baked on the edges. When I got it to my table it was dark baked on the bottom. Tasted burned. So sad as the roll was great until you got the burn. I cut it off. My husband's apple fritter was burned too. I don't know if this normal. I hope not.

Yelp
Got here first thing in the morning and a line had already formed. The line moved quickly, especially with the availability of a self order kiosk. All items came out quickly. The pastries were delicious. The butter croissant had a a nice buttery and flaky consistency. The breakfast sandwich was flavorful especially with the seeded sourdough bread. Outdoor seating had ample shading. Indoor seating is limited and is a little tight when the line forms. Would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Cute little coffee/bakery shop with a very nice patio. We came here for breakfast and it was delicious!! I got the desert sun smoothie and a sausage breakfast sandwich. Desert sun smoothie: so much flavor and very refreshing. Sandwich: very good!! I love a breakfast sandwich, even better they put it in the panini press! Definitely will be back next time.

Yelp
We stopped by Layla's on our way into Sedona. It was heavenly! I had the cheese danish and a matcha latte, and my friend had an almond croissant. I consider myself somewhat of a cheese danish connoisseur and this was by far the best cheese danish I have ever had. The matcha latte was also heavenly and just want I needed on the rainy day we visited on. We had to stand at a table and enjoy our pastries, but it was no issue. There is a small amount of seating inside the cafe, as well as some outdoor seating. I can't wait to return on my next Sedona trip!
google avatar

Tina L.

Yelp
Great pastries. Decent seating inside and outside. Plenty of parking. A good relaxing sit down place with house made granola and sourdough and a decent selection of baked goods along with lunch sandwich items. Kouign Amaan used the same base dough as a croissant and their other pastries but has a sweet vanilla sugary coating on the outside. This was a flaky, crispy pastry that pairs well with any drink. They also have smoothies. The Tropical smoothie with OJ was a good tangy sweetness. I actually liked the Desert Sun more because of the deeper rich berry taste. I thought the OJ was a bit overpowering.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee, pastry, lunch. We came several times on a recent weeklong stay - coffee and matcha and croissants every morning, and several lunches for sandwiches, smoothies and avocado toast. Great food, wonderful friendly service, and a great patio for fresh air conversations. Laylas has become or go-to spot in Sedona to start the day off right.
google avatar

Farrah A.

Yelp
They have bulletproof coffees in the menu (that vegans can sub with coconut oil if preferred). I wanted to low carb it, so that's what I ordered. ...Then I laid my eyes and hands in a warm croissant as I handed it over to my gf... It was all over from there. "We'll take another croissant, please." Don't miss out on their pastries. All I need to say! They also have avo toast and salmon toast on sourdough bread. We got that for our hike. Impressed!

Yelp
Wow wow wow, if you're looking for breakfast in Sedona, this place is amazing. My girlfriends and I ordered breakfast to-go online, and we loved it so much. This place does get packed in the mornings, but there is some seating inside and outside. We ordered the broke yolk sandwiches, and the chicken pesto sandwich. SO SO SO GOOD. Very happy!
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
It's not often you stumble upon a bakery that serves Kouign Amann!! That's how you know it's good GOOD. If flaky airy authentic croissants are your thing, this place is a must when passing through Sedona.
google avatar

Karen W.

Yelp
Lovely story near west side of downtown Sedona. Lots of baked goods. I especially love the chocolate eclairs. Love the Ham and cheese croissant. However, lavender matcha were little disappointed, the 12oz cup were half full, and very lumpy mix of matcha and lavender flavors. Service were great, the lady was very attentive. The store is super clean with signs telling customers which tables are sanitized.

Yelp
Stopped here for breakfast after a morning hike. Came around 1 PM on a weekday with no wait. Ordered: Blueberry Danish ($5.25) Breakfast Sandwich w/ bacon ($17.00) Honeybee Pollen Latte ($7.50) Food was delicious! They have a water station which is complimentary. Cute little nooks to sit and enjoy your meal; outside seating is an option as well.
google avatar

Karen F.

Yelp
We were in Sedona for three days and stopped at this bakery all three days. When we found the chocolate almond croissants, we went back for those every day. They sell out each morning and for good reason. They are the most flaky flavorful croissant I've probably ever had. I also got their cold brew coffee, which is brewed for 24 hours and it is so smooth. I know they have a variety of other meal options you can choose but we just went for the baked goods. There is always a line in the morning and for good reason. This is a must stop if you are in Sedona. Thanks for the wonderful treats.
google avatar

Vanessa B.

Yelp
Layla's Bakery Cafe. Wow! One of the best pastry places I have ever experienced! Amazing! My husband and I passed by this place in Sedona a few times noting we had to come here. We finally made it and we will now make this a must stop every visit. My husband had the Honey Bee Latte and I tried the chocolate macadamia nut latte. So yum and unique flavors. What blew me out of this world was the Chocolate Almond Croissant I bought! Let's just say I have a new Love! ‍. They are open from 8am to 3pm and serve soups and other good items. If you are in the area, show them some love and try them out. They will not disappoint. They also have a decent size dog friendly patio!
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
Best breakfast place in Sedona. Outside seating so you can look at the red cliffs. Get there early for seating.
google avatar

Tania A.

Yelp
Stopped in after an early morning hike. Place is super cute. The pastries they make daily are out of this world!!! We ordered the Avocado toast and the Broken yolk and both were so good! They have indoor and outdoor seating. Service was super friendly. You order at the counter and they serve you at the table. I wanted an iced chai with oat milk and even though it wasn't on the menu they made it and it was tasty!! I noticed they also have sandwiches and other lunch items.
google avatar

Benjamin F.

Yelp
This place is a go to spot in Sedona when we visit! Their bakery is absolutely delicious! The croissants are AMAZING! The breakfast sandwiches are PHENOMENAL! The staff is sooo friendly! You also have the locals who come here which means it has to be good! The ambiance is nice also since you can enjoy breakfast outside on their patio. If you want a delicious breakfast, definitely swing by this place!
google avatar

Kathleen W.

Yelp
This is a wonderful cafe in Sedona. It's a little out of the way from the main area of shopping but well worth the extra couple of minutes travel. The pastries are to die for. They are served warm which was such a wonderful surprise. The coffee was also very good. The honey bee latte wasn't as great as I'd hoped but still good. All the pollen sank to the bottom so I got a mouthful at the end of my drink. The service was very quick and personable. There are only a few tables available inside the cafe, but there are many on the outside patio. The parking is plentiful.
google avatar

Melissa R.

Yelp
Layla's Bakery-Cafe in west Sedona is a cozy spot with great coffee, pastries, and picnic essentials. We loved the cheese Danish, croissant, and fresh hummus with chips--perfect for our outdoor picnic!
google avatar

Tippy P.

Yelp
This cafe was cute and festive. We stopped by to grab some water and snacks prior to hiking. We purchased box water, they were cute. Reminded me of the milk jugs we used to get during elementary school lunch. Service was great, not too many people there and our coffee and order was made quick.
google avatar

Leneice G.

Yelp
Came around 9 AM. Line out the door. Waited about 30 mins. Food was great and coffee was really good. Can say it was worth the wait. Had an avocado toast and breakfast sandwich. It was a cute local cafe that offers housemade bread to go.
google avatar

Chantel Q.

Yelp
Wow, we all loved this place and usually there's always one in our family that says it's just not for me. Not this time... we loved our: desert smoothie, banana bread, I think it was called morning muffin, and the breakfast sandwich. Next time we are in Sedona, we will be back, thank you! *shockingly I must of forgot to take photos.
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
Never open. This should be open at 6am not 8am. They were also closed on Father's Day. Really weird. Never even got the opportunity to try this place.

E G.

Yelp
A Sedona institution! Incredible fresh food, friendly staff, great service. It's consistently clean, reliable and delicious. I recommend to everyone.
google avatar

Jamie C.

Yelp
Convienently location in west Sedona, this little cafe has a good selection of food options and coffees. We got the power bowl which was smaller than expected but surprisingly filling and tasty. The coffee was decent but the service was friendly and quick.
google avatar

Andrea B.

Yelp
This place is SO CUTE. Great service and yummy food. The power bowl was super cozy on this cold morning and my wife and I loved the Honeybee Latte too. The chocolate croissant was amazing because they warmed it it up and the chocolate was all melty. We are discussing coming back tomorrow!!
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
We came here after both our hikes. The dirty chai lattes were delicious! Fast and friendly service. The lemon bar was yummy as well! They have a cute patio with plenty of seating and a nice inside as area. Definitely the place to go for coffee!
google avatar

Natasha W.

Yelp
I loved this place! I ordered the power bowl with smoked salmon on top and it was delicious. I also ordered a bee pollen latte and it was one of the best lattes I've had in all of Sedona. The staff is incredibly kind and the food is soooo fresh! Lots of seating and great for big groups.
google avatar

Camille D.

Yelp
Very cute bakery/cafe serving wide variety of baked pastries, breads, sandwiches, coffee and smoothies. Ordered honey bee latte with oat milk I found it to be super delicious. I loved the cheese danish. The prosciutto sandwich with fig was perfect balance of salty and sweet. Service was good, you order at the register and the items are brought out to you. Plenty of seating outside and the employees keep the tables clean with labels.

Trish M.

Yelp
Kitchen closes at 2 and they even shut down while you're waiting in line. Be sure to get there before 1:30 in case there is a long line, or indecisive people in front of you!
google avatar

Michele G.

Yelp
Guess who's back? Back again... I think this is my fourth or fifth visit at my favorite little Sedona cafe! Each time I journey to these beautiful red rocks I make it a point to stop here. The food is so fresh and their drinks are delicious! The service is always awesome. And it's the perfect causal spot to stop for a quick bite or to dine in at one of their outdoor tables. This time I got another bullet coffee because yum! I also ordered the BLT and added an egg to it, which was perfection. I couldn't resist a thick piece of banana bread to go - and I mean it was thick thick haha. Sometimes this place has a line out the door and gets busy but it's so worth it!
google avatar

Kami M.

Yelp
Stopped by Layla's after a morning hike and it hit the spot! I ordered a café au lait and it was smooth, creamy, and just what I needed. The place has a warm, welcoming feel with a great selection of baked goods--everything looked so fresh and tempting. Loved seeing the fresh bread and pastries in the case, and the setup with merch and books adds a cool local vibe. Can't wait to come back and try the food next time!
google avatar

Lauren F.

Yelp
small bakery that shares a building with a pizza place. they have sandwiches and pastries as well as different drinks. you place the order at the counter and they will bring the food out to you. we ordered the pesto chicken sandwich which comes with your choice of chips, salad or pasta salad. everything was delicious and large portions. they do offer a discount if you pay with cash
google avatar

Tanya G.

Yelp
Just want to put this out there. No gate keeping... Laylas makes The Best Chocolate Croissant around. Pain au chocolat. Always has the latest decor and the coziest out door seating
google avatar

Teri W.

Yelp
We stopped after a long hike in chilly weather for coffee. The capuchino wasn't as bold as I would like. The pastries we got were fantastic.
google avatar

Laurent E.

Yelp
As a French man living locally, I feel I have extra street "croissants" credits for this review! Grew up in France eating viennoiseries very often and even when I go visit France, not many bakeries get such a perfect product as Layla's do. The croissants, pain au chocolat, kouign-amann and the rest are so delicious!! 10 out of 10!! Definitely best bakery I tried in Arizona!! Merci!!!! Also, the FOH staff is really nice and caring, no much turnover in staffing showing you they are happy to be there and provide excellent service.
google avatar

Rosa H.

Yelp
Great little cafe for a quick bite to eat or to relax. I came to visit and was looking for something light yet hearty before a hike with the family. Avocado toast was amazing! It was fresh and flavorful. The power bowl was also a great choice. Everything was fresh and just delicious. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We were so pleasantly surprised by this place ! I wish we had found it earlier during our trip and had breakfast here everyday! I wish I could give it a 4.5 instead of a 4! Parking: It's in a shopping center and right on the corner. We almost didn't see it - so it was a bit hard to find but that made their patio so nice and hidden from the road. Since it's in a shopping center there's more parking than you'd expect, but for how busy they were it was still a but of a small lot. Also, you do have to walk down stairs to get to the seating and door. There probably was a ramp somewhere but I didn't notice it. Seating: There's indoor and outdoor searing available. The outdoor seating area was very cute with plenty of nature surrounding the area. The tables sat 2-4 people. The outdoor patio is dog friendly The inside has some 2 top tables too that paured bench seating with chairs. Inside was a bit cramped though (my main reason for less than 5 stars) Food/drink: Ok so they have GOOD coffee! I mean really good - we had their honeybee latte and an American. Both were absolute perfection and noteworthy! Their food selection was also next level ! There was a wide variety of options and everything looked delicious. We tried the chocolate croissant, the "queen", and the ham and cheese. They were all fresh, filling, and flavorful! Other things to note: Their staff is so warm and friendly ! They have a cute little library When we came there was quite a long line (making the inside even more cramped) but it did flow consistently and is worth the wait.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
3/5 for coffee. My husband got a dirty chai with vanilla with coconut milk and enjoyed it. I got a decaf iced mocha with oat milk and just found the coffee flavor to be VERY weak. There are gluten free and dairy free treat options. When we were there, there was a pumpkin loaf (very small for $5) and a set of 2 chocolate baked donuts that were gluten free and dairy free (2 SMALL donuts for $10). We skipped the treats due to price and stuck to coffee. If you're not gluten free, their regular pastries look amazing and there is also breakfast and sandwich options

Nadya B.

Yelp
This place had a bit of everything that you would look for in a breakfast/brunch/bakery. The service was great and the place is very charming, yet tight inside. Great quick eats option. Breakfast Sandwich and Fruit- 8/10 Tropical Smoothie - 10/10 Hot drinks - 6/10 (nothing special, not for coffee lovers or snobs)
google avatar

Onj J.

Yelp
We stopped to get a latte to go this past Thursday afternoon. I was hopeful when I saw their fancy espresso machine but the latte was awful. The first bad sign was that it was super hot. The milk was clearly scalded and the espresso flavor was also off. If you're getting one with sweet syrup, that can cover up for poor barista skills. But if you want a pure espresso drink, I don't recommend this place. The cafe is cute, with a lot of outdoor seating. The guy who greeted us was friendly but the woman who made the drink looked pretty unhappy and was unfriendly.
google avatar

Donald G.

Yelp
Had friends in town and they wanted to do a hike - so we took them to what we consider is Sedona's best kept secret for a quick bite before the hike. The parties + sandwiches were delicious as always and we had some smoothies to go. Having been all over the world, I can state with confidence that the croissants are as good as those you'll get fresh in France or other top tier bakeries. Service this time was a little odd as the gal at the front counter seemed to be having a bad day, but we will always be back!
google avatar

Jeanette C.

Yelp
This is one of the best pastry shops I've been to in my life. So good I went 3 days in a row and we are calling our extra weight gain "Layla's muffin". I would buy a cookbook if it were available.
google avatar

Julianna O.

Yelp
Whoa pricey! But cash payment gets a discount! $75 for 2 adults and 2 kids to get pastries and coffees and milks...very very busy on a weekend. It was good but can't say I loved the prices. Parking was plenty as others say compared to most of the other breakfast places on that road.
