Layne’s Chicken Fingers Plans to Open More than 30 Dallas-Fort Worth Locations | Eater Dallas

"A cult-favorite chicken strip spot that started in College Station in 1994 and has a strong following among Texas A&M alumni, known for crispy fried chicken fingers, Texas toast sandwiches, and a sought-after special sauce. The brand is entering North Texas with a Roanoke opening on April 23 at 1500 North Highway 377; this will be the chain’s seventh location (fourth in the DFW area) and part of a major expansion that aims for up to 30 North Texas locations in the next four years and 100 new locations overall." - Brittanie Shey

Tried Laynes for the 1st time & we will not be back. The amount of food for the price is ridiculous. You get the same amount of fries for a kids & regular meal. Chicken so small. I see why the place was empty. Take ya money to Canes

Tried this place for the first time and got the Chicken Finger Meal with a Salted Caramel Shake just what I expected! The chicken tenders were perfectly seasoned, crispy, and delicious with the signature sauce. Great atmosphere, clean space, and excellent service. Big thanks to Feroze for making the experience even better!

I had such a wonderful experience at Layne’s chicken. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish specially the manger named Karla. The food was absolutely delicious especially the spicy chicken which was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and excellent service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I came to see if it can compare with Raising Cane's. Pros: spicy tenders available. I like spicy foods. Fries are tastier. The chicken is a bit more moist. Cons: Toast is only toasted on one side, which gives it a weird mouth-feel. Fries are more greasy. Chicken is more greasy. Sauce is good, but not quite as good as Cane's sauce. Overall: I'm really not into greasy food, so I have to give Cane's the win despite Layne's being better in some ways.

They have some kind of pricing scam going on. Ordered online and was charged one price. Picked it up and realized the price I paid was almost $4 more per meal x 5 meals. Asked mgr for a price adjustment and or cancel and ring it up at lower prices and he said he didn't know how to do it. Went to app to find contact number and the number just called this same mgr. noticed on app it says something about DoorDash but I didn't order off of app but the website and it did not mention anything about an up charge for DoorDash , even though I picked it up. Emailed customer service and they did not respond. Took the food because I paid for it. Not only overcharged over $20 but then get ghosted. Will fill complaint with attorney general in violation of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act .

It was really good. Food was hot and fresh, burnt my tongue at first from how hot it was! 😂 Service was great, had my food in a reasonable amount of time. Atmosphere was pretty good, only thing was the ice maker was a bit on and off, to be fare, there was a decent amount of people, and it was hot outside. Other than that, I love the food! And the options!!

This was mine and my wife's first time eating here. There was a kid that was working the front. We probably got there just a little after 6. He told me his name, but I already forgot it. And the kid was amazing. He was out in the lobby. He was checking on customers. He even offered to help carry our food out. While it was raining. What a nice guy and he was a teenager too. You just don't get that kind of service anywhere. The chicken was pretty good. The French fries was delicious, crispy fresh. I got the lane sauce which was okay. I did not like the spicy ranch. The toast tasted good. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will return based on the experience we had tonight
