"In Lebanon, the word “laziz” means tasty or lighthearted, perfect descriptors for the ethos that co-founders Moudi Sbeity and (former state senator) Derek Kitchen bring to their shareable plates. Sbeity immigrated from Lebanon in 2006 and the two began selling homemade hummus to colleagues and friends. They eventually opened a storefront and expanded the menu to include dishes such as za’atar fries (inspired by batata harra) and a kafta burger with tomato tapenade. Sbeity and Kitchen are both proud members of the queer community and were plaintiffs in the landmark case Kitchen v. Herbert, which overturned Utah’s ban on same-sex marriage." - Sarah Entwistle

I took my husband on a date here for Father’s Day and the atmosphere was amazing. Our server was so nice and gave us a complimentary baklava after our meal. The food was so great! Everything was lovely and super filling. Definitely our favorite new restaurant!

The service was quick. The food was delicious and I would definitely go back. I really liked the lemonade too. The tables are pretty close to each other and I don't think I would take a large group there.

This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had anywhere. The service was exceptional, the food flavorful and the cozy seating area perfect for a late lunch. The lemonade is a must have and get yourself an order of the za’atar fries with whatever else you order. You will not be disappointed.

Okay, here's the deal. The food here is my absolute favorite. My husband and I don't eat out a ton anymore for various reasons, it's just pretty expensive nowadays, we have young kids, we've been disappointed by many places and felt like it was a waste of our money but NOT HERE. Seriously, I'm obsessed with the food. Every bite makes my mouth go yum, yum, yum. We tried it a couple years ago and I told my husband for our fifth year anniversary I just really wanted to go here. Well, happy to say it was just as amazing as I remembered it. The beet dip is incredible. I loved the muhammara dip and loved the walnuts, it was my first time trying that dip. The carrots, cucumber and lettuce served with the dips were fresh and crisp! My husband got a falafel platter and I got the salmon veggie bowl. The salmon was cooked perfectly, the avocado was green and ripe, the rice perfect, just all so good! The flavors just make my taste buds so happy! Thanks Laziz for making my anniversary great, all I needed was my husband and some amazing food and this fit the bill. We'll be back another time for sure. There isn't a ton of nearby available parking, so we had to park a little ways down and walk, not a big deal. It's also a relatively small location, I feel like they could fit maybe 30 to 40 people here so keep that in mind for busy weekends or nights. They do have a ramp for wheelchairs and bathrooms in the restaurant.

I really enjoyed the chill atmosphere and great food here. I was surprised by how delicious the zaatar fries were, as well as how filling the veggie bowl was. I would definitely recommend- just keep in mind that they use quality ingredients, so you may pay close to $20-$30 per person

Great experience! Our waitress was top notch and the food was amazing! So unique and very flavorful! I recommend the falafel wrap and sweet potato fries 1000%.

Laziz has a great, cozy atmosphere for that great brew taste at any time of the day enjoyment. You can completely chill with a friend or catch up on emails as you wait for your order. The service was great. Polite and with manners. Food options looked very appealing. However, the lamb burger was dry, with no juice, and it didn't have any flavor. My wife's fried chicken breast was overcooked, dry, and garlicky as can be. The fries were mediocre and just hit with garlic. There was no love in the food. Nothing tasted fresh. Definitely the feel of frozen products. It's too great of a place for the food to be coming out like that. I will give it another go whenever I'm in the area again.
