Google
Pretty cool spot to grab something and go, inside kind of small but cute. The guys was super friendly, very polite and patient enough to explain all the food. Kind of price for the size and from my humble opinion a little to burnt and the meat way to much spice ( not hot flavors just way to much herbs) but hey they been there long time and look like they do have traffic so pretty much my option and pretty sure they have ton of business ! It’s really clean from front to end and bathroom are clean and well maintained! Concluding should I come back ? No! It’s more Argentina’s places around that I liked it. But should I recommend ? Yes of course not because my personal taste dint like it does not mean I can’t recognized they are good options!

Google
Small but great selection of emapandas. Nice little place to sit and empanadas are baked fresh. Must try.

Google
Each empanada is a flavor explosion! On the area for a kid sports event and needed something for the family. They had something for every palette! Looking forward to returning for the gluten free empanadas as well. 2-3 for adult is plenty. 1-2 for kiddos. The desert ones were fantastic. Don’t waste another minute reading reviews, get down and pick up some of the best empanadas I’ve ever had!

Google
Awesome place! The best empanadas in town and a nice environment! I would recommend the spicy steak, steak quesadilla, and the BBQ chicken. Very friendly staff as well, especially the tall very friendly skinny dude. I just wish there was a location closer to South East Aurora so I could get these empanadas more often!!!

Google
Great service from the gentleman working today. It was very hot and he had demanding customers but he was very fast, efficient, and friendly. The empanadas were great! Beautiful dining room. 10 stars service!

Google
Incredible empanadas. Had the Ground Beef, Steak Quesadilla, and Chorizo & Egg with chimi and they were all great. Employee was incredibly friendly and helpful in picking which varieties we wanted. Volume of the food is a little small for the price, but that's likely a side-effect of food costs right now because the quality of what we got is high.

Google
Absolutely loved this place! The customer service was excellent super friendly and welcoming. The service was incredibly fast, and the empanadas were absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

Google
Immensely delicious. The spicy beef empanadas with chimmichurri are to die for. I've tried plenty of different empanada places, but this one hands down has some of the best if not the best I've ever had. The two times I've tried them they've not been busy, which is a shame. Change that and go show them some support!

Yelp
When did this location of Lazo open? Had I not driven this road earlier today to make my medical appointment, I wouldn't have known it forever (maybe). Thanks to the big decal ("Empanada") on the front window that didn't escape my notice!! Good thing I was paying attention. This is a very small location. Even though I saw it, you can easily miss it. I truly hope that it's getting enough foot traffic. The young man upfront welcomed me. Upon entering, I was the only customer. He let me take my time to decide. I didn't feel rushed. I found my new favorite today: Chorizo Cheese and Egg. Had never had this flavor in the past as I had never seen it until today. Or is this a new flavor?? I pointed out to a tart looking sweet one in the glass showcase which the young man identified it as passion fruit tart. Sounded good. I settled on those two for to go. He, of course, put my savory in the oven toaster which he said would take about 5 minutes. He didn't put the savory and the sweet in the same container; he separated them. What a conscientious gesture! He saw me off with a warm/friendly smile with a pleasant "Thank you; have a good day!" After taking a few photos of the two, I immediately started savoring them. The Passion Fruit tart wasn't impressive and yet the right amount of sweetness tickled my sweet tooth to the touch. I wish I had tasted more passion fruit in it. The savory (chorizo/cheese/egg) however became my new favorite. Nice and gooey inside where the creaminess of the marinade can make a mess over your clothes if you are not careful. Lazo never fails to amaze me with the bestest ingredients and flavors no matter when. My perfect mid morning snack sent me to the next errand for the day. Much needed pick-me-up indeed!!

Yelp
The establishment was easy to find and relatively ample parking. the restaurant was entirely dead when I came in so it was very clean. Despite the fact that it was completely dead, it took about 20 minutes to get two teeny, tiny empanadas. i was unsure if the guy was super unfriendly, didn't speak or understand english, didn't like his job, or a combo of the three. anyway, i opted for the ham & cheese & the chorizo, as all other options had onion - i am allergic to onion. rather disappointing, bc i wasn't (shockingly for me) in the mood for breakfast. the ham and cheese was amply filled and somewhat flavorful, but not great. the chorizo one was flavorful - it had a yummy spiciness to it, however it was lacking in the stuffing. i bit into it and it was only half-filled. for the price, you'd think they'd fill the darn things to capacity. the "shell/pocket" was disappointing in both taste and size - kinda tasted like a tortilla. nothing special. * size matters, people. don't let ANYONE tell you otherwise. pretty underwhelming and disappointing all around. service: 2/10 serving size: 1/10 taste: 3/10 i would not recommend - go to maria empanada instead.

Yelp
"If sadness had a flavor, it would be this empanada." Where do I begin? The empanadas here are a culinary crime scene. The dough was so dry I thought I'd accidentally bitten into a flip-flop. And the filling? Imagine someone whispered the word "chicken" over a spoonful of cold mashed beans and called it a day. I ordered a dozen and immediately regretted every decision that led me to that moment. They somehow managed to make them greasy and dry at the same time--a feat of scientific impossibility, and yet, here we are. Service was buns too

Yelp
The flavor of the fillings are absolutely amazing but our delivery empanadas were suuuper burnt. The burnt exterior definitely made the taste less pleasing but overall we would return ... to hopefully perfectly cooked empanadas.

Yelp
Again, new to the area I'm exploring some different restaurants as I'm out doing errands. I was really hungry at a rather late lunch hour and after having driven by and noticed the empanadas restaurants several times; I made the decision to stop in. They had a couple made up in the case that in my opinion looked small and rather burned on the surface to my eye. I asked the gentleman if that was the normal size and he said yes. So, I figured I'd need two. It took perhaps 10 minutes to fix the two ham and cheese I ordered. When I opened the box they were burned /charred excessively. I took them to go and had a couple bites. I thought they were awful. The cheese had no flavor and there were tiny ground bits of ham in the melted cheese. I couldn't even taste the ham and I did not like the flavor of the cheese and the burnt crust. They were each over $5. This is my first one star review but I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Side note the parking is limited and the entrance is one way.

Yelp
Such yummy empanadas! My friend and I got three different empanadas each and then cut them in half so we could sample 6 different empanadas. We tried and utterly enjoyed the beef, steak quesadilla, spicy chicken, chicken caprese, fresh mushrooms, and the spinach & cheese. We also tried the chimichurri sauce and green avocado sauce; both absolutely delicious. The shop has a small inside seating area and a couple outside tables if the weather is nice. As a whole the place is very clean. The gentleman running the place was very nice, helpful, and patient while we decided our plan. We will definitely eat here again.

Yelp
New favorite empanadas. I love how they do their empanada crust. Service was good, he was really nice. Very clean place.

Yelp
Empanadas are a great treat, how can you go wrong with a delicious flaky pastry filled with flavorful ingredients? I had seen Lazo's many times in the Cherry Hills shopping center and my timing was always off, but today it was dinner time and I was hungry. Their selection of fillings is robust and you will be able to find something that is a good match for you. The first one I tried was the Chicken Caprese based on the staff's recommendation. They were right on with this choice and the filling was delicious with chicken, cheese, tomatoes, and some herbs. The empanadas are cooked to order, so it comes out and it tantalizing hot. You want to bite into it so badly, but you have to ease yourself into it so you do not burn your mouth. My second choice was the spinach and cheese empanada which was good, but not quite as delicious as the chicken caprese. Lazo's is a great place to come and enjoy a meal. You can choose exactly how much food you want and order exactly what you want. The staff was kind, cheerful helpful, providing information about the different fillings. I look forward to coming back and trying the other options available.

Yelp
The empanadas are always amazing best I've had in Colorado My favorite is the spicy beef

Yelp
Delicious empanadas that were enjoyed. They were a little greasy and harder to serve for catering than Maria Empanadas, but we will be back again. Delicious options for vegetarians as well.

Yelp
Located near our favorite donut spot, We Knead Doughnuts, Lazo Empanadas definitely stands out for its flavors, but the prices might make you reconsider. They're undoubtedly among the best empanadas you'll find in Denver, but the sticker shock is hard to ignore--over $4.00 for what seems like $1.50 worth of empanadas (in my mind). While the cost may be a deterrent, the quality is hard to dispute. Each bite into these savory pastries reveals a well-balanced blend of fillings, encased in perfectly baked dough.. . crispy unlike the cake doughy kind from Maria. Good yummy varieties for some breakfast and lunch versions. The proximity to We Knead Doughnuts adds convenience for those craving a sweet and savory combo. Despite the cost, if you're willing to splurge a bit for top-notch empanadas, Lazo delivers quality that's hard to rival in the area. . . though I doubt i'll frequent often

Hana S.

Yelp
I was under the impression they were made fresh, they're not. The empanadas lack any type of seasoning whatsoever. They're not worth the price for it being premade.

Yelp
First time trying Lazo Empanadas! We tried the ground beef and steak and both were excellent. We will definitely be coming back again soon! Friendly staff as well!

Yelp
Empanada dough is the foundation of this delicious house. We suspect lard is involved. The fillings are good, but the shell is outstanding. It is thin, light and flaky, not greasy, a vehicle that is the headliner at this show. The empanadas are made ahead of time, frozen and then brought back to life in 5-6 minutes. We wondered if they would be better if they were baked as they were made in real time. If they are, they are beyond spectacular in this scenario. We tried the steak quesadilla, BBQ chicken, chicken caprese, chorizo, egg & cheese, as well as the ham & cheese. Though all of the fillings were good, our favorite was the BBQ chicken, we think. The empanadas are not labelled to distinguish them in any way. We wondered why this product isn't sold in grocery stores at this point. Perhaps that is the long term strategy. They are pretty expensive per unit but the quality is impressive. We didn't try any sauces as there was an additional charge. We figured at this price point that the empanadas should stand on their own. Do you buy a sauce for your pot pie or a hot pocket? The dough here is significantly better than Maria Empanada. We are so glad we tried this place finally. It is a nice treat and definitely a splurge at the price point of $4.89 per pastry.

Yelp
Pretty yummy and relatively inexpensive. I really wish they didn't use canola oil though and did olive oil instead!!

Jessica M.

Yelp
Had no idea this spot existed. The empanadas were a tad expensive but filling & flaky. Great customer service as well John was great!

Yelp
You've got to visit this little restaurant! The empanadas are beautiful and they have a wide variety of savory choices as well as several sweet ones! It is immaculately clean, and the ladies working there are wonderful. Cute place to sit down for a quick bite, or get take out or delivery. You can also buy a box of ten empanadas of your choice (fresh or frozen) and any of their sauces. Food, Service, Ambiance all very good!

Tartianya B.

Yelp
Order cancelled after waiting an hour and a half for delivery without a call or email. Ridiculous

Yelp
Empanada lovers rejoice! This hidden gem of a restaurant delivers. Yummy flavors wrapped in perfectly crispy pastry shells. Very cute inside too! Highly recommended!

Robbi M.

Yelp
Great service and VERY good food! They have options for everyone, spicy beef is my favorite.

Stopped by for a small snack. We ordered the spicy chicken and spicy ground beef. Took only a couple of minutes. They were sooo good!! Best empanadas we have ever had!!!

Yelp
So good! The empanada shell is light and flaky. Cute interior decor, friendly fast service. The chimmichuri is so DEVINE!

Melinda S.

Yelp
We just went to Lazo Empanadas for the first time and it was outstanding! I tried one savory empanada (Chicken Caprese) and one sweet (Milk Carmel, Cream Cheese and Peach) and I am already thinking about how soon I can come back for more! The flavor of the fillings and the perfectly crispy texture of the pastry shell make these little guys absolutely crave-worthy. We love supporting local businesses that clearly have a passion for what they do!

Jessi W.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Flakey yet crispy! We had the chorizo, cheese, and egg and the ham and cheese. Loved the spicy red sauce! Next time we'll try the other sauces, too. Our only mistake was not ordering enough of them!

Erica P.

Yelp
First time here and I loved the empanadas! I got the spinach and cheese with the green avocado sauce. This is my first time finding good empanadas in Denver so I can't wait to come back.

Martin H.

Yelp
Delicious empanadas. Love the flaky dough love that they baked not fried. Good value. Friendly service. I would recommend this special Denver gem to everyone.

Marina R.

Yelp
Woke up craving empanadas today, so per yelp we tried out Lazo Empanadas. We got a sweet one and a savory one. The savory empanada was a spicy beef with green sauce. So delicious. The meat was perfectly flavored and that sauce is money!! For sweet we got a caramel, cream cheese, peach. The layers on the crust were perfectly flaky. No complaints at all with this place. So happy we found it, we will definitely be back

Amy C.

Yelp
Oh my god seriously this place has absolutely crazy delicious empanadas. The sauces are equally delicious. I will be back for sure. Repeatedly.

Matt B.

Yelp
Very good selection of different flavors. Our family ordered a 10-pack with 4 flavors (spicy ground beef, steak quesadilla, bbq chicken, spicy chicken), and loved every one! The avocado sauce is fire! We will definitely be eating here again. The crew was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Lazo!

Perry H.

Yelp
Food is good, service good, nice clean little place! The Empanadas appear to be on the smaller side and a little pricey for what you get,
