The Best Restaurants to Know in the Florida Keys

"Situated right on the sand, Lazy Days invites guests to stay for a while and dine on dishes like shrimp panko-crusted and drenched in Key lime butter and garlic sauce alongside burgers, pastas, alligator bites, cracked conch, and other island standouts. The restaurant is located near Robbie’s, where guests can feed giant tarpon, and near Bud and Mary’s Marina, ground zero for sport-fishing charters, making it a solid spot to dine after nearby adventures. There is also a Lazy Days South location about 40 minutes down US1 in Marathon for those who are traveling from the Upper Keys to Key West, perhaps." - Allison Ramirez

We stopped by Lazy Days close to the end of the night. While the service was a bit slow—maybe because it was near closing time—the food definitely made up for it. Everything we ordered was delicious! The fish was fresh, the peel-and-eat shrimp were perfectly seasoned, and the crab legs, oysters, and alligator were all full of flavor. The highlight was the warm, fresh banana bread, such a nice touch! Would love to come back earlier in the day to experience the full service.

We walked here from the resort we were staying in and were very pleasantly surprised. The view outside from the top deck was spectacular; water as far as the eye can see. All the food being delivered to tables around us looked amazing. We settled on conch sandwiches Lazy Days Style; they were exquisite and the best we have ever had anywhere! Melted in our mouths and huge. We both have enough for another whole meal. Even though we had sandwiches we couldn’t resist the warm banana bread and rolls. Sergio took excellent care of us and was the epitome of true hospitality; warm and engaging. Do yourself a favor; go there and ask for Sergio, you won’t be sorry!

4 stars across the board. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was phenomenal. We went there for dinner and there was no wait. We were seated facing the Atlantic Ocean, which is always breathtaking. I ordered the Lobster Palermo - fire on every level. I come to the keys 3 to 4 times a year, and this was my first visit here. I will be coming back to try the other offerings on the menu.

Went for dinner last night and the views and location is amazing! Definitely go for sunset! I was vegan and had the house salad and linguini with vegetables and tomato sauce. It was quite oily but delicious and huge portions! Had a lovely eventing defo recommend

One of our favorite meals! Beachfront dining with your feet in the sand. Everything was delicious — fresh seafood, good portions, and a relaxed atmosphere. Great spot for families. Our son even caught a tarpon right off the shore — unforgettable.

Google
Lazy Days is the best! The food is super fresh—especially the seafood. The view of the ocean is amazing while you eat. The staff is really friendly and helpful. It’s a great place to relax after a beach day. Plus, it’s pet friendly, so your dog can join too!

To start the restaurant has an amazing view and wonderful atmosphere. We both had the same sandwich Grouper for lunch, The fish tasted great, except the bread was literally a big pile of mush (soaking wet). Couldn’t pick it up and had to eat with fork and knife. The young girl waitress was very friendly and helpful, but totally forgot our appetizer. We never got it! We did try to go the night before and the parking lot was packed and ended up not going. Not sure how we feel about this restaurant. May have to give it another try. The fish was good and fresh.

Google
Went on vacation with my husband and we were recommended this place. We loved it so much we came back again before we left. We tried the dinner broiled seafood option, oysters, potato skins and conch chowder. Everything was excellent!

Yelp
Favorite spot for dinner on vacation! Michelle was attentive and so friendly. We never had conch and she recommended the lazy days style style and it was amazing!! She gave us so many good recommendations for the rest of our trip. view and ambiance were perfect! We will be back for dinner before we leave Hopefully Michelle is working! Best service we have had so far in the keys

Yelp
Great views, great looking place. We brought our own catch in, and our catch and cook came with a salad and a side, which were excellent. The Lazy Days style fish prep was a winning combination. 6/27/2025

Yelp
Unfortunately this was not a great experience for us because of the food and service. Our son ordered the steak off the kids menu, which was awesome they had that, but it came back overcooked for what he wanted and my husband said it wasn't that good. It's so sad I can't even remember what I ordered...it was that non-memorable. Our server was incredibly lack luster. I hate to say it and I know we all have our off days, so maybe that was his situation. But dang, we felt like an inconvenience to him and received the absolute most minimal service possible. Even when I asked questions about gluten free options it was one word quick answers. I think he could have cared less. On top of that, they don't have gluten free buns so that was also disappointing. I really don't think we'd come back if we're in the area which is why I gave it to two stars. Three maybe if our service would have been better.

Yelp
The restaurant is beautifully located oceanside (great ambiance) and the service was attentive. The parking lot is gravel and not ideal for motorcycles although we were able to find a patch of concrete right next to the entrance. We ordered 2 local beers including one with hibiscus which was good. The complimentary bread included a mini banana bread loaf - cute, unique, and tasty! I ordered a grilled grouper sandwich and my partner ordered a blackened hogfish sandwich, both with fries. The grouper sandwich came with several small pieces of fish rather than a filet or two which made the sandwich harder to eat as the pieces kept falling out. The blackened hogfish was not bad, not spicy. Both meals tasted fine, but something we both ate (maybe the tartar sauce? Or the fish itself) did not sit well. My partner felt bloating before we even left the restaurant and I was sick by the following morning. I can't say if this was an unusual outcome for this restaurant, but we won't be trying it out again to find out.

Yelp
We absolutely loved this place. It was busy, but there were plenty of places to sit still. At first, we sat at the bar. I had cold boiled shrimp which were made perfectly. So good. After we ate, we had drinks down by the water with our feet sunk in the sand. Their drink menu seventy was amazing. We sat there overlooking the water as beautiful seagulls and cranes came and went. You just can't beat an experience like that.

Yelp
Pros: Location was great. Right off the A1A down the Keys. Just had to pull over. Ambiance was even better. Our table was right off the water, so we could watch the waves roll in and out. It was so peaceful. It was fun watching all the birds try and eat everyone's food. Lol. Service was top notch. A really nice guy who peddled drinks, but wasn't too pushy. Food came out in a timely manner. Food was pretty good, too. Everything we had was fried, but it wasn't oily or greasy or anything. Just right. Cons: No real cons. An enjoyable experience. Tips: Get the fried conch. Not the fritters, conch fritters are not good. But the fried conch gives you nice little filets of conch to dip in those sauces. Very nice.

Yelp
Went on a vacation to the Florida Keys, and I did a lot of research on the best places to eat in the Keys. My research brought me to Lazy Days, and I'm very happy with my decision. The location was picture perfect. Tables and chairs right in the sand, overlooking the ocean. All the birds flying around, very peaceful. Service was also top notch. Dude was in and out, refilling drinks, food was at the table very promptly, no issues there whatsoever. I got a virgin frozen pina colada, and it was excellent. Even though they should think about offering more creative mocktails, or even simple N/A pre-made products, the pina hit the spot for me. Started off with the Coconut Fried Shrimp (Hand breaded shrimp with our coconut batter and served with our mango chutney). Standard stuff. Big sized shrimp, very crunchy breading, sweet-but-not-too-sweet chutney. Satisfying. Went on to the Fried Cracked Conch (Tenderized Bahamian queen conch, hand breaded, served with our homemade cocktail sauce). I hate conch fritters, I just do. So these I loved! Good sized hunks of conch fried beautifully, really let the conch flavor sing. They weren't overcooked or too tough or anything. It was really nice. I recommend. Finished off with, of course, the Homemade Key Lime Pie (Best in the Keys and made fresh daily). This was our first Key lime pie of the trip, and it was very nice. Sweet and tangy, cool whip to tamp it down. Just very good. I was a fan. Overall, the food aspect was a four star experience, but the beachside ambiance and the great server kicked it up a notch to a five star experience, for sure.

Yelp
I'd consider this restaurant more of a 3.7/ if being more exact. I'll start off by saying the views are absolutely incredible! It is gorgeous views of the water and a fun little outdoor area by their make shift beach that's a great coastal vibe. The food tasted great, however, the prices were too high for the amount and selection of food. If you have expectations to drop more money than the surrounding restaurants than shouldn't be a problem by my party and I were a little disappointed on the prices for food and drinks. The staff was very friendly though and overall was a neat experience to dine at.

Yelp
After a beautiful beach day we decided we needed something good to eat with views with all the comforts of the wonderful Keys. So of course we stopped here. Sat outside with the ocean views and beautiful sun. We started with conch fritters to share and then each had a conch chowder soup. The fritters had chunky pieces of conch, loved that. The soup was phenomenal. I don't know what it was but it was just delicious. The flavors, the ingredients were just perfect. My friend had the fried fish that smelled delish and I opted for the crab legs. We both had salad with it and even that was great. Our whole outing was a perfect day that ended with perfect meals.

Yelp
I refuse to go to the Keys without stopping at Lazy Days. I NEED my lazy days style Hogfish. If you're deciding between the sandwich or the platter, just know that the sandwich is large and delicious. I get extra lazy days sauce on the side. The service could be slightly more attentive, as I had to ask a different server for some things, but the views can't be beat and it's a great relaxing lunch.

Yelp
This building is not much to look at but what a view. The tables are right on the sand with water about 30 feet in front of you. Been looking at the menu, only to find Shrimp Fri Diablo. Been waiting to try this dish all day. Then to find out it is on the dinner menu and that menu doesn't start until 3:30. It is 3:00 but the waitress went to find out if they will do it and since they did, she ordered it. Now that's called service. Oh my god when I got it. Haven't had one like that in over 25 years. Spicy but not two just packed with flavor. Can I say a big portion of fabulous. This was my birthday gift to me and they made me a very happy person. If you're looking for a great beach view but absolutely fabulous food, come and try Lazy Days.

Yelp
The absolute best fish I have ever had prepared! This is a must stop while you're in town, with amazing views on the water.

Yelp
04/13/2025 The service was good and the food wasn't too shabby. The parking lot can get packed so get here early .

Yelp
We are so glad we came here! I heard this was the place to go for excellent seafood. A local favorite, been here a long time...the reviews are more than reliable! The location is fantastic! We sat upstairs on the patio overlooking the water and it was perfect! On a Tues evening the place was packed...parking was rough but we waited and someone eventually left. The service was excellent! They brought out a basket of different kinds of rolls including a small banana bread loaf sooo yummy! (Could've been zucchini bread?) ohhh so good!! Our drinks were awesome (dirty vodka martini and margarita) as were the appetizers-a dozen steamed clams and crab cake both were so tasty! The broth for the clams was flavorful and dipping the rolls in it is a must! We also shared a NY steak and grilled lobster tail, both amazing! We left here so full and satisfied! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! If you're visiting you must eat here!

Yelp
Stopped here to stretch out on the way to duck key and loved it! There was no wait (we came for lunch on a Thursday). We chose to sit outside close to the water. The waiter was very nice and took our order quickly. Food came out fairly quick as well. We all loved our entrees but the winner was the fresh catch in lazy days style. It is just the perfect combination of flavors! And I love the Parmesan cheese on top. I wish they had rice but since they didn't I ordered the coleslaw which was very good. We enjoyed the view and the pelicans. Really loved our time here. Would definitely come back
google avatar

Julie M.

Yelp
We got to sit outside on the sandy dining area. Beautiful view! My basil crusted hogfish and sweet potato fries were PERFECT! Sweet potato fries were crunchy on outside and soft inside, not dry. They got it all right. Fast service, and delicious food. Our friends got a special with garlic linguini and scallops mixed with artichokes; they said it had a little bit of everything and all the right things. We sat outside on the beach later in the Adirondack chair and soaked up a little sun. Great lunch stop.
google avatar

Christine H.

Yelp
Great place to stop by for lunch with a view along the keys! My grandma tried the gator and said she loved it. We got the oyster platter and all of them were fresh and delicious. The food comes out in big portions so we could've ordered less. The scallop and shrimp pasta was good as well. By the pier they have big fish and a bunch of pelicans, it was nice to take pictures there.

Yelp
Had a really nice dinner at Lazy Days while on vacation in the Keys. Location is right on the water and sunset views are just impeccable. We came on a Friday evening and waited around 30 minutes for a great table on the lower patio. Servers were attentive and blended drinks were tasty, especially their Miami Vice. I enjoyed their conch chowder, blackened chicken caesar, and chicken pasta. Only thing I wouldn't recommend was their conch fritters, just not my favorite. Vibe is upscale but not too fancy. There is a small parking lot as well. Worth a sunset visit if you're in the area!

Yelp
A Must-Visit in the Keys , Lazy Days is a Gem! Lazy Days in Islamorada truly lives up to its name it's the perfect spot to kick back, relax, and enjoy an unforgettable meal with an unbeatable ocean view. From the moment we arrived, the laid-back atmosphere and friendly service made us feel right at home. The food? Absolutely incredible. Fresh, local seafood is the star here we tried the yellowtail snapper "Lazy Days style" (topped with panko, tomatoes, onions, and key lime butter) and it was hands down one of the best fish dishes I've ever had. The conch fritters were crispy and flavorful, and the key lime pie was the perfect finish. What really sets Lazy Days apart is the setting. Dining on the outdoor deck with the ocean breeze and panoramic views of the Atlantic is an experience in itself. Whether you're coming in after a day on the water or just looking for a great meal in a chill environment, Lazy Days checks every box. Can't wait to come back next time we're in the Keys!

Yelp
You think dining at the restaurant is good??? Well... the catering experience was just as great - TOP NOTCH. Lazy Days catered our wedding rehearsal dinner. Ryan, the manager, was amazing from the initial call & all the way through the delivery & set up. Ryan helped me select the menu based on how many people were coming. Ryan replied via email promptly and professionally. He was on time the day-of, and did the full setup by himself (with my requested disposable chafing dishes and sternos!) I was beyond impressed. The food was HOT and FRESH and SOOOOO GOOD. Our guests actually confessed they preferred our dinner on Friday from Lazy Days, than what the venue offered on the actual wedding day. No surprise there, lol. Items not photographed: wings (which, all the sauces were insane) lazy days style - catch of the day ... OMG. chicken piccata - INSANE key lime pie - 10/10 chocolate layer cake - drool worthy & so much more!!!!! To anyone debating on who to get for catering for an event, look NO further. I could not recommend it enough. And just friendly a reminder from a fellow hospitality gal... TIP YOUR F&B TEAM! They work their asses off.

Yelp
Showed up with a large group of 8 with no reservations and they were able to seat us pretty quickly outside on their covered deck overlooking the water. I had the special which was hogfish with the key lime sauce that was amazing. The portion was probably the biggest I have ever had for fish. The service was amazing and the prices were reasonable. Definitely will be going back next trip to the keys!
google avatar

Rick V.

Yelp
In on a Friday around 1 PM for lunch. Pretty busy but got seated right away. Sat down stairs. Nice view of the water. ORDERED: Blackened Grouper Sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion, dill pickle strip and French fries on a nice bun. Fish cooked just right and a good portion. Service was good. Too bad it's a 100 miles from home.
google avatar

Yelp
Food and service was fantastic! Awesome atmosphere and real chill vibes. Not sitting in the blazing sun roasting. Affordable prices. Laid back beach front with dock to feed nurse sharks and corn hole to play on the side. Loved it.

Yelp
Our dinner was delicious and it was especially more enjoyable, because Mia was exceptionally friendly and efficient. She cared about our dinner and service and checked up on our needs. Thank you Mia! You are amazing!

Yelp
If I could give zero stars, I would. I got the fresh catch sandwich lazy days style with what was supposed to be broccoli, the veggie of the day. It ended up coming out with carrots so I asked the server about the broccoli. She said oh well I thought it was broccoli, I guess it's carrots. Since I didn't want carrots and the veggie was not broccoli, I got potatoes instead. My meal was nothing special at all. My boyfriend got the New York strip cooked medium rare. It came out well so he got another steak. The second one came out rare. The manager came over cus he noticed something was wrong. My boyfriend didn't even want another steak or a different entree at that point. We just wanted to go home. However, I do appreciate the manager righting their wrong. I do not recommend. The very mediocre food took forever, lots of mishaps, and our server didn't know how to talk to people. This place is overhyped forsure.
google avatar

Cat H.

Yelp
This is a great location for cocktails and appetizers. You can choose to sit upstairs in an air conditioned restaurant or on the deck or you could sit on the ground level out on a Sandy Beach. You're literally against the Atlantic Ocean. Service is fast and friendly, and the drinks are very frosty. Appetizers were also good which included a fish dip and potato skins. They have a cute little gift shop where prices are quite reasonable. This is a classic Florida Keys experience.
google avatar

Kacie B.

Yelp
Had such a great dinner experience here! Came here with a part of two and dog around sunset. Our table was right on the beach. We started with white wine and complimentary bread for the table (save the banana bread for dessert later!). We ordered the lazy conch at our server's suggestion next and were not disappointed. The grouper Lorenzo was next and was so, so good. This was plenty of food for the two of us. We would definitely go back!
google avatar

Yelp
Came to lunch today for the first time Fantastic place and view was great. I had the lobster rocker fella and it was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Amazing Views! While in Islamorada for my kids soccer match. Decided to stop afterwards with the rest of the familes. We were a large group of over 20 people and the they don't take reservations but we got their at about opening around 11am. Staff were super accommodating and gave us the choice of the whole restaurant. We decided to sit outside but under cover as it was a beautiful day. The view was spectacular. The kids were able to play in the sand and there were many picture spots. Even the pelicans stood still for close up selfie moments. Our server was super patient and engaged with the whole party the entire time. Foodwise, every dish looked amazing and fresh. We had the Fried Calamari and the Conch Fritters both which were fried and seasoned perfectly. My wife had the Fried Mahi Mahi with sandwich which again was seasoned perfectly. I had the Hog Fish Basil Encrusted Sandwich which was delicious. The fish was fresh and the key lime butter sauce was just the right balance of tartness and butter but not overpowering. All the kids dishes came on a souvenir frisbee which was a very nice touch. Overall everyone left loving the restaurant and the kids had room to play and eat. Kudos to Lazy Days for making our outing to Islamorada a memorable one.

Yelp
Perfect location to relax by the water and enjoy seafood. I love the ambiance and location of this place, came for an early dinner and I had an amazing experience with my family the outdoor seating is just exceptional. Service was good a pur food was perfect. I'm a big fan of fries snapper and this one was delicious. The onion soup was great and the steak didn't disappoint.
google avatar

Yelp
Been going here for years. Right on the water this open air restaurant serves up some of the freshest fish you will find in the keys or Florida in general. On this visit I had the Hogfish posideon which is egg battered filets topped with shrimp and scallops doused in key lime butter sauce. Instead of the regular sides, I had the fish served over pasta since I was craving some carbs. My girlfriend had the garlic encrusted yellowtail. Panko breaded and crispy fried, it is bathed in the key lime butter and served up with a vegetable medley. Boy entrees came with a cool crisp salad which was delicious. This place fills up fast and if you want to eat here I suggest you get there early or late but often times you can wait up to an hour in peak dining times. We sat right on the beach able to watch boats, pelicans and seagulls go by. It can get a little windy so be prepared. They have nightly live music on the beach as well. They also have a location in marathon with the same menu but, I prefer Islamorada.

Sherry H.

Yelp
The catch of the day might have been the catch three days ago but not today and they do not know medium rare the chef only knows well done wait staff was cordial and attentive
google avatar

Elena B.

Yelp
Tourist trap! Great vibes, beautiful locale, awesome staff ... good food. Always a wait - locals and tourists combined ... but for the money, it's not about the food - you're paying for the vibe. Very limited parking also - was there on a Sunday at 6:30 ... had a spot I was getting ready to turn into when someone can barreling backwards in reverse to get it - we sat on the beach for meal but I actually prefer upstairs/outside if you go - it's better than being on the first floor in all the commotion and chaos including people walking all over while they wait for their table. The bar service was not great while waiting - service a little slow and a lot of people just there for drinks too ...
google avatar

Susan M.

Yelp
Had stopped here for dinner on a whim (yelp something, quick! I'm hungry). We sat on the sand and had the conch fritters, the yellowtail and the grouper. Everything was delicious. Service was great. I was waiting to have grouper while in FL and had it here lightly breaded, with rice, and it was cooked to perfection! The conch fritters are very filling but good like a hush puppy. We just didn't have enough room for all of our entree afterward. I would skip the fritters next time.
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
I sat with the feet in the sand eating blackened grouper and I was amazed. Not by the food, which was good, but by the hustle of the bus boy who ran up the stairs and then carried huge platters with 5-8 dishes on them down the stairs and not missing a step. Three other bus boy was literally running to clear and clean tables for the guests. Wish I could have tipped them both for the effort to make our meal a wonderful night. Shout out to the chefs as well. The seafood in both our meals was perfect. That said, this is definitely more expensive than I would typically pay. My "large" more like medium size salad was $13 plus $15 for the blackened grouper. Fried conch appetizer was $20 and the pasta with seafood $45. Chill vibe. Absolutely. Good to great food. Price for a chill vibe meal 1 star. For that reason, we probably won't go back.

Yelp
Came to this restaurant on a Thursday right when it was opening at 11 AM. This was recommended by a friend who spent a lot of time down here and she did not steer us wrong. The menu has multiple seafood options to choose from as well as your standard burgers. We sat out on the beach, under an umbrella with a beer. I had a Goldfish lager that is a local brew. It was perfect for my taste. We ordered a grouper sandwich and a hog fish sandwich. The hog fish sandwich was awesome. Flavorful, nicely cooked.

Nina A.

Yelp
The Mahi Mahi was so delicious!! Worth going to if you are in the Florida Keys. The the fish alone was delicious. I also had the peel and eat shrimp (hot) and it was so fresh !!
google avatar

Aileen R.

Yelp
Lazy Days is a very nice restaurant that is situated on the oceanside side of islamorada. It has inside and outside seating. You are given delicious banana bread with your bread basket to start. All dishes come with a house salad which was very generous. The food was very flavorful. My shrimp scampi had a very large portion of shrimp in it. It was seasoned perfectly. The coconut shrimp was delicious and came with a side. The views a few beautiful and the staff was very accommodating. I will definately be returning!

Yelp
We had a day to waste after debarking a ship in Miami. Planned to make a road trip to Key West, FL, but with it being a rainy day, we decided to drive half way and see what we could find. We arrived in Islamorada and received a suggestion to check out Lazy Day. It was an elevated restaurant right on the water! We were quickly sat outside on the balcony. It was softly raining off and on, when I rained harder, the staff lowered a plastic curtain to keep out the rain. Our meals were quickly prepared and very fresh. The conch fritters were ok, very bready and no so much conch but very well prepared and the dipping sauce was a great addition. A touch of spice but not over powering. I'm a big fan of fried breaded chicken sandwiches. It was very good and juicy, however, it was not very seasoned, a little bland. The blackened grouper was very well prepared and seasoned well. I love a good coleslaw and this was it, very good! Right after we arrived, the restaurant got very busy and the parking outside is very scarce. Cars were circling the parking lot for a spot. There is only one unisex bathroom outside in the parking lot. There is a gift shop on the lower level. I was a bit disappointed in the gift shop because all of the items in the shop had Lazy Days on it. Only their products for sale. Nothing without Lazy Days on it.
google avatar

Kristin F.

Yelp
Lazy days is a solid choice every time we visit. Best meal we had on our trip. Kids loved having their meals served on frisbees they could play with on the beach after we finished lunch.
google avatar

Gary F.

Yelp
Beautiful water front dining. Fantastic gulf shrimp and excellent key lime pie. Service was perfect. A great way to end a day in the Keys.
google avatar

Hillary P.

Yelp
Love this place! Feet in the sand, umbrella drink in hand. Variety of seating, that is casual with great view of the water. A real beach club vibe. There is a dedicated parking lot, which makes access easy. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. Service was prompt and friendly. Prices were semi-reasonable for an area where restaurant prices are a little higher than the mainland. Nice menu with a variety of options that won't blow the budget. Awesome piña coladas! We enjoyed their bisque and split a salad. Our server had the chef put the delicious and generous portion of salad into two bowls. Great stop for a drink a great view and great food.
google avatar

Gary L.

Yelp
Service is spotty. Pricey but great food. Waitstaff seemed overwhelmed. Not real busy. Had to wait for drinks. Sandy beach area if you get there early.
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
Pasta, steak and seafood! They do it all to the highest quality!! A bit pricey but the portions are huge so you don't worry about it. Great for families since there is corn hole and a dock with fish and sharks to watch while you are eating.

Yelp
3.5/5. This is a restaurant in a beautiful setting with a variety of indoor & outdoor seating options that can really help you make the most of your experience. The staff were very attentive, kind & service was timely on a Friday night. All very good & wonderful things. I think it's a decent spot to eat at but not necessarily overwhelmingly delicious. You walk away praising the location & view more than the food. Across the table we tried several appetizers (conch, calamari, Brie) which were fine & entrees ranged from coconut shrimp, pasta & bisque. I do think it's a good spot for parties of all sizes & you won't leave disappointed, just maybe not wowed. Try it out for yourself and find out!

Yelp
I took my family to Lazy Days Restaurant for dinner the other night after it was recommended by the staff at our resort. We were very dissapointed with the food. I ordered a yellow tail lazy day sandwich which sounded good based on the dishes description on the menu but it had absolutely no flavor and the sweet potato french fríes that I ordered as a side dish were soggy. My son ordered a chicken teriyaki dish and it was loaded with so much teriyaki sauce that the dish was essentially a soup. ; I have never seen chicken teriyaki made that way and my son did not like it at all. My wife ordered the mahi fish dish with a baked potato and the fish was just seasoned with loads of paprika and salt and that was it. My wife ate the meal but said she was not happy with it. On the positive; the key lime pie for dessert was delicious and the view of the ocean at the back of the restaurant was breathtaking . The service was good and the restaurant was nice to give us 15% off the teriyaki dish (about 3 bucks). Maybe it was an off night for the Chef but on the whole; the food was not worth the money we spent and other than the key lime pie and the views; I would not recommend anyone eat at Lazy Days Restaurant; I am sure there are better restaurants in the area.

Yelp
Nice place by the water. Food wasn't impressive for the price. Mom and Pop diner salads. Our grilled fish was dry and bland. Maybe don't order grilled fish? I don't know. Oysters were small and not worth the price in my opinion. Staff was friendly I appreciated that. Our highlight was the banana bread served before the meal.

Yelp
I am adding this as my new favorite restaurant in the Keys! Wow. Speechless. Two different types of visits here and they impressed us. We were driving down to the Keys and decided to look at food spots on the drive down. We looked at Islamorada and found Lazy Days with great food pictures that looked appetizing. We decided to head straight there. When we got there, it was night time so we couldn't see just how grand the view is here. It was also cold and windy so we opted to sit inside. Parking is on gravel but pretty manageable. We were a little confused on where to go at first since they seem to have an upstairs and a downstairs which looked separate. We went upstairs and saw they also had patio seating up here. We sat down and the menu all looked so good. They have a very extensive menu featuring appetizers, salads, soups, seafood, pastas, steak and desserts. We ordered and was immediately given a basket of bread which included banana bread and regular rolls. My boyfriend fell in love with the banana bread here. It has walnuts in it and cinnamon. Very unique. We wanted another loaf to go and the woman told us it would be $6.95. A bit pricy but we felt like we should do it. Our food started to hit the table and everything was good or great. The homemade lobster bisque though was not what I was expecting. It tasted different than a regular lobster bisque. I ordered the snow crab special. The snow crabs didn't have the fresh color look but it tasted great. I ordered broccoli with it and the broccoli was way too well done. I also tried the oysters rockefeller as an appetizer and I loved it. It was smothered in cheese but it had great flavor. I would get this again. My boyfriend ordered the surf and turf and that included a sirloin with a spiny lobster. The lobster was delicious! This entire meal cost $200 with 2 soft drinks and tip. We thought the meal was so good, we returned a few days later but this time we came around 4-5PM and was able to sit downstairs and outside. We sat right along the waterline and was able to have a view of the cotton candy sky. This view itself is worth the extra dollars they may tackle onto their menu. I thought it was a very romantic meal. I tried something different. I ordered the baked clams and I was a bit disappointed with how much cheese and bacon was smothered on. It was so much that I had to dig for the clams. I ordered a pasta primevera which consisted of butter and oil noodles with vegetables. Huge portion and it was good. We would definitely return for the food and the view.

Yelp
Lazy Days has some great seating on the water. We visited after sunset with our pup. They are dog friendly on the patio. There are some nice picture opportunities around the water. We had a late dinner, so didn't want to order too much. Opted for a cup of the Conch chowder to start for $7. For our entry we split the fresh catch sandwich, it comes with a side of your choice for $17. When we visited the fish was mahi mahi and we ordered it blackened. The service was super fast and the restaurant offers a complementary bread plate to start. It comes with multigrain and banana bread. I think the prices are more reasonable than other restaurants nearby.
