For a Saturday night dinner, it was crazy busy there. Please do a reservation. We were seated late even with a reservation Aside from the busy, the food was great. Great drink selection. Everyone was happy with their selection. Also lots of choices for every palette. Kids menu is also available I'd definitely visit again. May try lunch this time.

Our server Jamie was very friendly, professional, and attentive. Rachel gave free Parmesan chips and dessert for my husband’s birthday. Food is delicious and made from scratch. Great experience overall

Google
If you are coming here for your first time I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Heidi was our server and Rachel was the manager on duty but Heidi went above and beyond for us! The food was delicious and the drinks were perfect. If I'm in the area I'll come here every time!

It was okay. Fried devil eggs was interesting but not amazing. Chicken salad was okay. I had huckleberry berry lemonade at first it tasted awful. Like chlorine water and berries. After stiring and letting sit for a long time tasted better. I guess it is a good place to go too. Food prices are pricey.

*Highly Recommend* *Fresh HOT Food* *Friendly Staff* This was our first time visiting and we really enjoyed everything from the atmosphere the food Friendly Staff and awesome manager. We will definitely return in the future.

Google
Solid menu, great service, our party of 3 was seated quickly despite how busy it was on a Sunday during dinner with no reservation. The menu has a wide variety to choose from. Parking is easy. Restaurant has indoor and an outdoor patio for seating.

Google
A wonderful restaurant in Naperville. It was cold, the place was crowded and we were told they only had the patio. But it was a nicely heated patio with a nice fireplace. We ordered the a chili tuna bowl, the blackened chicken burrito bowl and soup. All dishes were well cooked and delicious. We also got the kids menu which come with a side and a drink. We also had the kids subdaye. The sever gave us two for the price one. It’s c vanilla ice cream and chocolate and sprinklers. The kids portion size was as big as the non kids portion fit double the price. But the non kids dishes had more veggies. They were nice enough to give us complimentary fries because this was our first time. We will go again.

Had the chance to dine at Lazy Dog in Chicago and it turned out to be a really satisfying experience. The vibe of the place is cozy and relaxed We started with their Pina Colada, which was smooth, creamy, and tropical — not too sweet and had a nice balance of coconut and pineapple flavors. Definitely a great pick if you’re into refreshing cocktails. For the main course, I ordered the Grilled Lemon Chicken — it was juicy and tender, with a subtle citrusy zing that added freshness to every bite. The chicken was grilled just right and paired well with the sides. As a starter we ordered Caramelized Brussels Sprouts. They were roasted to perfection with crispy edges and a slightly sweet, savory glaze — a great side dish even if you’re not usually a Brussels sprouts fan. Service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere felt laid-back yet lively. Overall, Lazy Dog is a solid spot with great food, especially if you’re looking for a mix of comfort and flavor. Would definitely return!

Yelp
Stopped in last night with a friend for some drinks and dinner. Got the bill on a little tablet that asked how much I wanted to tip, hit 20%. Was not made aware 20% gratuity was added to my bill before!! Should have made that clear

Jenny Kallay ..

Yelp
We ordered a Cuban sandwich as well as a pot roast sandwich. Both were very good! The only issue we had is we ordered to go and they have you park in an assigned spot you text them when you arrive. They never came out waited for quite some time we went in to get it no explanation or sorry . We were not the only ones it happened to 2 other customers had to go in as well. With that said we will go back because food was good!

Yelp
If I could give Lazy Dog in Naperville six stars and a belly rub, I would. Stopped in with the kids for dinner and immediately felt like I'd walked into a cozy dog lodge run by the world's friendliest lumberjacks. Everyone's in flannel, smiling like they just chopped firewood for fun, and somehow it just works. We kicked things off with the cheese curds, aka golden nuggets of happiness. Crispy, melty, and served with both ranch and marinara because apparently moderation is for quitters. My son got the burger with soup and fries -- and I swear he went silent for five whole minutes, which every parent knows is the universal sign of deep culinary satisfaction. My daughter and I split the ginger soy salmon, and oh my dog -- it was phenomenal. Fresh, flavorful, and big enough to feed a small pack. We couldn't even finish it, which never happens unless something's that good. Lazy Dog, you've officially earned a spot in our family rotation. Great food, great people, and an atmosphere so warm you half expect someone to toss you a blanket and a squeaky toy.

Yelp
Can I give negative stars? Ate here and got food poisoning. Got food for our dogs too and they got sick also. Our order was take out so not sure if people with take out orders get treated any differently. We called and complained but it seemed like they get calls like ours on a routine basis. Weren't really interested in fixing the problem or providing a solution or even taking ownership of it. Won't be returning to this place or telling others to go there. If you don't want to possibly get sick , don't go here.

Yelp
Service: slow and the waitress was very rude. Not sure if she had a rough day but she was giving a lot of attitude. Spicy tune crispy: this was good. If we were to come back we would get this again. Buffalo chicken nuggets: this was crispy and good. Bacon candy: very sweet my husband liked it Dog: chicken and rice : my dog ate this up and loved it. Cheese burger just mayo and cheese (kids): the patty was burnt. We ended up not eating this. Pad Thai: very watery and not flavorful. I would recommend passing this. Chicken burrito bowl: this was okay. Spicy Korean ribs: not good very bland, would pass on this.

Yelp
They knock it out of the park once again with incredible staff and food. Went out for a night with the girls and had amazing cocktails and food, overall just a great experience. Love coming back here over and over again.

Yelp
Service was friendly and attentive! We dined in for four including our puppies . No reservations just randomly walked in around 1 pm on Monday. The hostess was nice and friendly! She greeted and asked how was my day? 10 out of 10, after we were seated at the designated area, approximately 3mins our server came with puppy water. He was promptly greeted, then we ordered coffee and later foods and of course puppy meal. Overall service was top notch, we do not feel uncomfortable during our visit! The only thing I would suggest is the saltiness of the foods, less salt would be perfect and the coldness of the patio, cover the pergola. Great job, definitely will come back!

Yelp
Attentive friendly service A large menu of good food and drinks Year round dog friendly heated "outdoor" area

Carrie P.

Yelp
We sat at the bar. Our waiter bartender was great. The sea bass was one of the best I ever had! The cowboy burger had us since it had mexican-style lager cheese sauce on it. The Back Stone Merlot was good. The bacon candy on the Smoked Maple Bacon Old Fashioned was so good. You can order just the bacon as an appetizer. The restaurant felt cozy and decorated nice for the holidays. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I wanted to give 3.5 starts but couldn't Went here for girls night and the apps and the drinks were amazing !! However the server messed up the mains! I ordered chicken pot pie and he got the chicken parm instead. My friend ordered simple fries but it took like 30 min to get the order. And the kung pao chicken didn't taste like kung pao at all! Ambience is good with cozy vibes! Drinks are amazing especially martinis
google avatar

Yelp
This place is OK - sort of expensive for what you get. The food is so-so. The waitress was nice. I would give it a try if you've never been, but I wouldn't have the highest expectations.

Yelp
Was in Naperville Il visiting family for the weekend. We decided to have a family lunch at the Lazy Dog. The venue kinda gives me a Cheesecake Factory kinda vibe; I don't know why. In any case we were promptly seated in a comfortable half circular "booth". Drinks were ordered and I began to review the menu. I ordered the Baja California Burger cooked to medium doneness w/fries. The burger arrived perfectly cooked and at a half pound, it was hefty. It was seasoned perfectly (a tad messy) with the toppings of guac, hatch chiles, jack roasted jalapeno-lime aioli, lettuce, tomato and pickle, the bun struggled to hold it together. But it was messy in a great delicious way. The Lazy Dog has a good variety on the menu, and the food was served rather quickly considering we were a party of 8. There's plenty of seating and our server was prompt and courteous. A great lunch to remember.

Yelp
Overall good food and place, we ordered an order of Cajun Fries and Crispy Wings, we came late and honestly glad we were able to get some food, service was good, looked like not busy but took them a bit of time to place our order. We enjoyed our meal but to tell you the truth the wings did not look appetizing, as you can see in the photo they did not look seasoned and seems that is the norm, I have never seen any place serve with this pale color but tried them and they had a good taste but only complaint is presentation! They have a fire pit in the outside which is a nice touch if you want to get cousy. Overall the place is ok, I wont be coming again but im sure they have other good items, just not a good experience. Sorry! Thank you!

Yelp
We love going to Lazy Dog for beers and burgers. They have plenty of great options for everyone. We were members of their beer club for a year. Great spot and they have a dog friendly patio.
google avatar

Yelp
Lazy dog has a very nice vibe. Really nice menu selection. Fish and chips are absolutely delicious and the drinks were potent. Nice drink selection as well. We had a little issue with the service, but the manager on duty more than made up for it! Really good rewards program as well!
google avatar

Yelp
I have been hearing about their PB&J burger for months now, so you know I had to give it a try! Wow! It doesn't seem like it would but it does! And the candy bacon just rounded up that amazing burger! Fries were some of the best I've had in a while. Biscuits were good but nothing earth shattering. Still solid food, great packaging and fair prices!

Yelp
The best part of our experience today at Lazy Dog in Naperville was the service. Heidi Guttman took care of us at our lunch today and her hospitality at top notch. She was as friendly as can be and really took care of my family and I while we were there. Thanks Heidi for everything!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
The food was average--nothing particularly memorable. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Although the restaurant wasn't busy, it took quite a while to receive our drinks. My order was also incorrect, and when I sent it back, instead of remaking the burger, they simply removed the pickles and onions. At that point, I decided not to make a fuss and just went with it. Casual ambiance. On a positive note, they offer a doggie menu, which is a fun touch for pet owners, though it's worth noting that dogs are only allowed in the outdoor seating area.
google avatar

Yelp
A family favorite! We have had nothing but good experiences here. Excellent service, quality food, great atmosphere and appropriate pricing.
google avatar

Yelp
First who doesn't like a place that allows dogs and even has food for your dog. They have a very interesting menu and a big variety on their menu. You can even get homemade TV dinners in a tin tray which is just awesome. We walked in with 11 people, and they were very accommodating to get a seated. The place is really nice inside. I had the pot roast and mashed potatoes and it was excellent. All 11 of us really enjoyed our food. It is a little pricey, but sometimes you have to do it for good food. I will definitely go back. All 11 of us said we would go back. My son had the fried rice and said it was the best fried rice he's ever had. Three or four people got the burgers and said they were very very good. My husband got the poblano pork. I also have a picture of that included and he also enjoyed it. Is the kind of place that you want to go back to to try all the different foods that they offer and don't forget they have a lot of dog decor inside, but it's also technically done and the inside is gorgeous. Oh I forgot we got the chicken tortilla soup and it was probably the best chicken tortilla soup I've ever had.

Yelp
Ashley the bartender was amazing She was fantastic she knows all the beer selections she knows the menu back and front she's amazing please give her a raise

Robert G.

Yelp
I had the please of having a casual dinner at the Lazy Dog. Seating was quick and comfortable. The ambience is loud with many big screens over the bar area. The dining areas are nicely illuminated. The design of the rest is like a giant cabin, with a lot of wood beams, stonework and animal sculptures. The menu has a great deal of welcome variety. Everything you can imagine from burgers, salads and steaks. Some interesting choices include Bison. I decided to go with the Black and blue burger. It comes with a choice of one side with additional sides at extra cost. The new was quickly prepared. The fries were nice and crunchy. The blue cheese burger was cooked well. The soft drinks are served in a nice tall glass. There is a generous drink menu, but that's not for me. Overall I love this place and will come back to dig further into that menu.

S J.

Yelp
Food was tasty, service was friendly and timely. Good atmosphere. I would highly recommend they season the chicken nuggets(kids meal)- zero flavor, but that's my only complaint.
google avatar

Liz K.

Yelp
Cozy atmosphere with friendly bar service. I only stopped in with my husband for a beer so I can't comment on the food. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the bar area was. They also had a nice selection of their own beers along with other microbrews, domestics and cocktails. I opted for the $10 sampler which you can choose 3-8oz from any of their beers. Definitely worth it since i wasn't sure which one to choose. Lots of IPA options. We did look at the menu and there were so many great food choices but at the moment we weren't hungry. Bonus, the menu has out of the ordinary foods that are a welcome change to customary menus. If you want a cozy space to hang out and chat over a cocktail, check it out.
google avatar

Alyssa K.

Yelp
It was ok. Not my favorite food. The scenery is cute and staff is sweet. Maybe would try the burger next time. Got the chicken bowl but rice was a little hard
google avatar

Daniel Y.

Yelp
Never been to Lazy Dog before but I see why so many people frequent this place. A good variety of American fare on the menu, but I ordered an Asian dish. Lunch menu has smaller portions and is cheaper. Despite the smaller portion of my teriyaki chicken over brown rice, it was still filling! Service was friendly and normal for speed. There's just so much space here, and I was able to get a table right away. I wouldn't mind coming here again! A handful of sauces provided too, if you want BBQ and such.

Tom D.

Yelp
Good food & service & ambiance were amazing !!!, we love going to this restaurant .Always a pleasure to eat here
google avatar

Yelp
When you visit Lazy Dog, you have to try their meatloaf (my number one choice) or the pot pie (a close 2nd place). I have chose to sit at the bar each time I have been to this restaurant and the bar tenders were always busy filling the other servers drink orders, but they were always very attentive to each of their guests. It's a must try when you are in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
We always enjoy lunch or dinner here at Lazy Dog in Naperville. We've been here a number of times recently. There is plenty on the menu for the whole family to choose from. The staff is very friendly as well. Our server, Carol always suggests something new for us to try! A very tasty meal ... I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! Highly recommended!
google avatar

Sean L.

Yelp
Pad Thai to go is pretty good. It's a big portion of food. Definitely not authentic but if you are here and have a taste for it. For sure worth it.
google avatar

Sania H.

Yelp
First time trying Lazy Dog, and we absolutely loved it! We were seated right away despite it being pretty crowded. Our waitress was phenomenal and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We were given complimentary house garlic chips because it was our first time dining there, which were fresh and delicious. We mentioned we were going to split two entrees and they brought them out already divided for our ease. The Baja burger was juicy, perfectly grilled, and lightly spicy but the standout might be the umami fries- worth the upgrade! Nonna's meatball pasta was pretty rich and we only had room for a few bites, but without a doubt you can taste it is made from scratch. Will definitely be back to Lazy Dog!
google avatar

alex g.

Yelp
Their Cuban sandwich which is a highlighted menu item was made with white sandwich bread. $17 cost give me a break. Do better! That should be made with Cuban bread, Italian bread or similar. I'm scared to go back and try other stuff since it was a featured menu item.
google avatar

Thompson N.

Yelp
This was our first time eating lazy dog. We bought pickup. They have a great system for car side pickup. The bison burger was delicious, it had the right amount of game taste while the cheese burger was also amazing. The 1/2 pound patty was heavy but in a good way. You HAVE to upgrade the fries to umami because the sauce they give you with the umami fries is SO DELICOUS!!!!! The tater tots was good and the ranch sauce that came with it but it's nothing compared to umami fries and the sauce it comes with. We will definitely try lazy dog again because just their burgers and fries were fantastic.

Yelp
Lazy Dog is such a great place. It's a restaurant that serves food with quality, fresh ingredients, has friendly service, and it's always bustling! It's one of my favorite dine-in spots because it's casual enough where you don't feel like you need to "dress up" (there is a bar with plenty of tv screens, so low-key in that sense), and at the same time, it's a spot that can be an enjoyable date night (with steak!). It can be a family restaurant, a sports bar that's a little more elevated, and/or a destination for large groups of high school students just grabbing a Friday night dinner together. Lazy Dog meets everyone's needs for a go-to restaurant. You'll find an extensive list of drinks and they have specials/ new items regularly. Their appetizers are delicious, and they have a range of main courses from bowls, to steaks, to meatloaf, to burgers. There is something for everyone. They even have a beer club where you can get a rotation of beers every quarter and other perks. Their burgers are so tasty, their cocktails are strong, their beer list is their mainstay, and I love that they have incorporated some Asian flavors/items e.g. Chicken Katsu Sando, Shrimp Yakisoba, Ribeye Bibimbap, and Ginger Soy Salmon. I tried their flat iron steak for the first time this past Friday (it came with spinach and mashed potatoes) and there wasn't a lick of food left on my plate, I cleaned it so thoroughly. Truly, Lazy Dog can do it all and you can't go wrong with a meal here, brunch, lunch, or dinner. This is a five star favorite :) I'm on instagram @gratutiousgourmande for more.

Yelp
Service - 5/5 Ambiance - 4/5 Veg. Food - 2.5/5 Big space and allows dog on patio. Patio is covered. Service dogs are allowed inside. Choose this place for my dog first-time restaurant experience. Went on Fri afternoon and got sitted outside. But the sun was hitting me directly and was really hot. Service was good. Got a free app for being a first-timer. Parmessan potato waffle chips - 4/5 greasy but good Brussel sprout app - 2/5 - tart for my taste Veg. Burger with Cajun fries - 3/5 - BBQ sauce was not good. Fries were OK. But they divided the burger before serving, which was good. My dog got hamburger with rice and veggies. There were 2 selections for dog meals.

Yelp
Service was great Had the fried eggs and the roast beef meal Very good This was like a moderate to high end chain restaurant - very good but not a 5. This is a 4.2 type of place.

Yelp
First time visiting and the food and customer service was top notch!! Great variety of food available in the menu, atmosphere was awesome as well on a Friday night, family friendly, place was busy and didn't even have to wait to get a table. Manager Rachel was awesome and even came by to say heTook advantage of their 3 for $25 small plate menu and it was awesome!! Bacon Candy and the Deviled Eggs OMG!! Rounded it off with the All American Burger with Umami fries!! Amazing!! Highly recommended if you are in the Naperville area on Route 59.

Yelp
I came here last night for dinner because I was specifically craving their house made vegetarian burger. Come to find out they re-did their menu and it's no longer available. The only burger option for vegetarians is a "veggie" patty that you can sub for any burger off the menu. When the food came out, I was disappointed. The veggie patty was 90% rice and 10% carrot. It looked and tasted like a frozen patty. It was not good. I appreciated their house made veggie patty they had not too long ago. It was made with actual vegetables and grains, not just enriched white rice. They really lowered their quality standards with this one. Additionally, their dinner portions on the fries are smaller. It didn't look like their prices increased. They may have, given the current financial situation... but their menu did change, the quality has gone down and portion size is smaller now. This place was such a go to place for me, specifically for their burger and especially being vegetarian. Unfortunately, because of these changes I don't think I'll be coming back.

Yelp
When we arrived at 10pm the parking lot is getting rebuilt. Not a bad thing. No close parking unless you are handicapped. We were seated immediately. Wide open restaurant. A dirty table beside us that took 30 minutes to clean. A Wide selection on the menu. Prices are fair. Our server was at the table immediately to take our order. The place was slow at this time of night. A cacophony of sounds as the kitchen was playing different music than the restaurant. Sound system sounds like a cheap radio. Needs to be tuned. Atmosphere is wood American. Lighting is okay. Seating is comfortable. Food is served within minutes of our order. Served hot. I had to ask for the extras for my burger. (ketchup, mustard). Order was served correctly. Tasted okay. Nothing special.

Yelp
I've been to other locations of Lazy Dog and enjoyed it, but it's not a place I typically go to on a regular basis. I've had the teriyaki wok and I liked it, so I figured I would get it again at this location. It was fine minus the fact that the chicken was very over cooked - crispy all the way through. It was disappointing since the rice, sauce, and veggies tasted great! It wasn't very busy since it was a Tuesday evening, so my friend and I stayed for a few hours with no problem, which was nice since we hadn't seen each other in a while. Overall, I was very disappointed about the chicken, but everything else was good to me!

Yelp
When you walk inside, it's like you're transported to some huge cabin in the mountains. Definitely has a very casual vibe. Parking lot is very ample. Menu is extensive. We came on Sunday so we ordered items off the weekend brunch section. Service was good, not fantastic. Towards the end, it was a little difficult to get our server's attention. Btw when you sign up for the online newsletters, you get a free starter or dessert. We used that offer for a free starter. We got bacon cheddar biscuits, chipotle chicken quesadilla, lumberjack pancake tacos, and country chickens + biscuit. -bacon cheddar biscuits 3 - I would have liked the bacon and cheddar to stand out more. It was a miss. -chipotle chicken quesadilla 5 - filling and savory. I like that you can add as much guacamole, salsa, and sour cream as you want. -lumberjack pancake tacos 5 - everything was delicious. Bacon candy was not too sweet and went well with the fried eggs, cheese, and pancakes. That Cajun gravy heightened the overall taste. -country chickens + biscuit - 3 - it was okay. Kind of bland.

Yelp
I must admit I did not look up any information on this establishment. The word dog in Chicagoland is ubiquitous to a hotdog. However, this is a dog-friendly establishment. I looked over the menu and decided on a Cobb Salad. I liked it. While the service was good, it could have been better. It is the new post-normal. The establishment is new, and I could mark it as a charging station for the first time. But alas, I drive a gas car, and they had no gasoline for me.

Yelp
This place is really nice, love the decor, super friendly service, large seating sections. The drink selection was really good! Their house beer was very tasty. My chicken alfredo was so tasty with a hint of lime. The dip was delicious and the chips were seasoned quite differently. They were not plain at all. Overall loved the whole dog theme and love the fact Tito's is their main vodka choice. My fav and also they rescue dogs. I am sure the owners know this. Anyway can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Lunch Review! A coworker and I stopped by Lazy Dog between site visits for the perfect patio lunch! We were thrilled to see their screened in patio was open this time of year. They did have the central fire pit on for extra warmth if you get cold easily. The menu has a lot of options but I loved that there were lunch specials. We both got the 1/2 sandwich, salad, and side of fries for $10.50 (great deal!). I got the caesar salad and my coworker got the house salad with their thai dressing. Our server let us know that most dressings were made in house which is a nice touch. I was shocked at how big the portions were! I had to purposely save room for my sandwich as the salads came out first. We both ordered the Club but I got mine without tomato and chicken. The fries were crispy and the sandwich did not disappoint. We both left feeling full, satisfied, and like we got a great value.

Yelp
My friend and I ordered delivery from Lazy Dog through Door Dash on a Tuesday. It was for an early dinner around 5 PM. The food came right on time and was still warm. We ordered and split: QUESO DIP: The flavor was nice and I liked the beans and hatch chili inside but this was definitely more bar cheese than authentic Tex mex queso. However, it still ended up being a nice snack. COBB SALAD: The salad was great and very hearty with a good amount of variety in the ingredients. My only issue is that the cost is very high for what you're getting but at least it held a hefty portion. BEER BATTERED FISH AND CHIPS: The fish was very well battered and fried. It was also perfectly flaky as well. I just wish the fish itself was a bit better seasoned. The fries it came with were also very delicious and the Tartar sauce really brought everything together. Finally, the cole slaw was very well made and helped to cut the greasiness from the dish. All in all, Lazy Dog is a solid option for a meal even though it can get a bit pricy.

Nina D.

Yelp
Food was burnt. One of the guys was very rude. Almost charged me twice waited forever before they took our order. Food is not edible cold and dry.
google avatar

Yelp
We were looking for a place in the area for a family meet up and yelp led us to Lazy Dog. It's an upscale kinda brewpub, large and very nice inside. They have a really large menu and it was hard to choose. I decided to give them a bit of a challenge and got the Korean Ribeye Bibimbap, my wife got the half salad and sandwich with The Wedge...Awesome and huge and chicken salad also huge. The Bibimbap was actually very good, but small. The meat was well seasoned but the rice was just rice, not crispy, it was really good, but for the price, just not enough food. The beer list is a good size and I enjoyed 2 Sunspanked red ales that I enjoyed a lot. Everyone liked it and several in our party took advantage of the TV Dinners, which is a very cool thing, frozen $10 meals with a lot of different choices. I would really like to go back and try some other things.

Yelp
I've been here 3 times and my most recent visit was the best! The service, food, and atmosphere were all top-tier. We ordered some of the non-alcoholic fun drinks, tots for an appetizer, and I got the grilled cheese. So good! Our waitress was so helpful and great to talk to. I can't wait to come back for weekend brunch someday, I'm sure it will be fantastic.

Yelp
Food was outstanding as usual! Service was great! It's a great place to go for a meal. You can bring your dog if you prefer.
