This was our first time here! We will come back. We got the banana pudding shake, & peanut butter shake, they were delish! Priced well. Service was quick, and friendly. Atmosphere was relaxing, didn't notice the traffic on the road, which was surprising!

Nestled in the heart of Georgetown, there's a hidden gem that's bound to delight your taste buds with its exceptional menu. From the tempting crispy fried bologna and savory fried mushrooms to the irresistible beer-battered fries, every item on the menu is a culinary masterpiece. My family and I are loyal customers, visiting this culinary haven 2 or 3 times a week to savor the delicious offerings. Amanda and Jamie, the brilliant minds behind this establishment, are truly exceptional. They always ensure that the restaurant is fully staffed, and every dish is meticulously prepared to order and served piping hot and fresh. They take time to come out and speak to all of their guests and say hello to the kids too. You simply can't miss their gourmet corn dogs - they are beyond compare. And their Indiana-style pork tenderloin sandwiches are absolutely divine. They also offer a fantastic outdoor seating area, making it perfect for families with kids. This place is an absolute must-visit! It is well worth the trip!

My son ordered an item that is no longer on the menu, he saw a picture of it online that was posted a.couple years ago (🙄). The guys working were so nice and did their best to make the cookie dough thing as close as possible to what was in their old picture. My son was ecstatic.

Great food, I had the bacon cheeseburger. The outside needs some updating with umbrellas and something to kill flies.

Lazy Sundaes is a must-visit for anyone who loves delicious treats and great service! It's more than just an ice cream shop - they've got something for everyone. Not only do they have amazing ice cream and sherbet, but they also offer plate lunches, soups, gyros, taco salads, chili cheese fries, and more. My family and I are regulars, and we can't say enough good things about it. In fact, I love it so much that I convinced my coworkers to try it, and now they're regulars too! The ice cream is incredible. Their lemon sherbet is the best I've ever had (and I've tried a lot of sherbet!). They have a great variety of flavors. But Lazy Sundaes is more than just delicious ice cream (and food!). The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the owner is truly wonderful. She's so personable and creates a welcoming atmosphere. It's clear she cares about her customers and the community. Whether you're looking for a classic sundae, a unique flavor, a quick lunch, or just a friendly face, Lazy Sundaes is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Ordered a hot dog w/ mustard on the side ($3), onion rings ($4.75) and chocolate shake (not sure on price). The hot dog bun was hard and chewy, on its way to being stale. Hot dog felt over boiled, and she put mustard all over the dog, forgetting that I requested it on the side. The onion rings have 1 size order, and I received exactly FOUR rings. Yes, 4 for $4.75. The rings tasted ok, but not the best. Expensive food and terrible quality. Honestly, I could have gone to Dairy Queen and gotten better quality & quantity for about the same price. Their ice cream is good, but I can NOT recommend their food.

Google
This is my first time trying this place and oh my goodness it’s amazing. I tried the black raspberry sherbet and it’s by far the most amazing flavored of ice cream I’ve ever had. Not to mention the staff were so sweet, and the place is a perfect little spot for relaxing and enjoying ice cream. 10/10 would love to come back again.

Yelp
We've been to Lazy Sundaes ice cream shop in Georgetown Indiana a few times. It's a friendly place with good food and ice cream. Today we ordered their pork tenderloin sandwich, "cut in half, one side dressed, the other plain". They're plenty large enough for my partner and I to share, but they went us one better, giving each of us our own bun rather than cutting one in half. The service is friendly and efficient - you're told a number to listen for and it doesn't take too long to get the call. I should have said 'Mayo, tomato and lettuce' instead of 'dressed', because they put everything on it: lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard and ketchup. I'll know better next time.

Yelp
The banana splits are amazing! Every time I go I think of trying something different but always end up with the banana split. Great fresh ingredients

Yelp
Love this place but needed to post the menu because I couldn't find a picture of it when I was looking for it today got the cookie dough sundae, delicious as usual!

Yelp
Amazing place, it's my first time here and I'm already thinking about coming back. I tried an amazing flavor called black raspberry sherbet soft served and it's delicious. These people also work hard and are super nice, get yourself some ice cream

Yelp
Great ice cream. I got the banana pudding shake and it was to die for. I'd like to definitely go back and try some of their food too.

Yelp
I have tried to support them but they have real challenge making milkshakes and have messed up my three orders in 2022. The sundaes are enjoyable but they serve them in shallow plastic dishes which is a huge mess and even more so with kids. This could be easily fixed with better serve ware and paper products. I wish I could just have the classics (a Reese flurry, Oreo flurry, hot fudge milkshake) - like I had at AJ's without the staff not being able to make them simply because they switched from paper the styrofoam.

Yelp
Great corn dogs. I can't believe I stopped in here and didn't get any ice cream. That's a first. I used to stop in here from time to time when it was A.J.'s, and I always liked the food and ice cream. Somehow, I always managed to make room for both. Back when it was A.J.'s, I used to get a bacon and hummus gyro that was really good. He would always get the traditional lamb/beef gyros. We both always left happy. They've kept the traditional gyros since their changeover, but they've nixed the bacon one, along with the falafel. Their menu is a tad bit different now. I don't know if they're under new ownership or not, but I didn't hear any Queen's English or snark coming from the back, so I assume so. Maybe she went back across the big pond. They have a nice little place here with a great location on the main road through town. They have tables with umbrellas and also have a drive-thru for those on the run. I just had a couple of corn dogs this time. They were hot, fresh out of the fryer, golden fried, and delicious. They were state fair perfect. So simple, yet such a treat. I didn't have room for ice cream on this day. They have soft serve, hand dipped, and many other cold concoctions here, along with the standard dairy stand snacks. We always used to get soft serve, sundaes, and milkshakes. All were always tasty. Never any complaints on the food or ice cream here. The service was good and most definitely friendlier than in the past. I hope to make it back soon for something cold, plus another corn dog. A great spot in Georgetown.

Yelp
Young man could not know how to make change! Add Subtraction my food was burnt and it was very busy so that's why? But they could see it . We will still go back

Yelp
The food as well as the ice cream were both delicious. Not only this but the employees were nice and the food was delivered fast. The place it's self was also very clean.

Yelp
This place used to be called "AJ's Gyros". I'm not sure if the owners rebranded or if it was sold but they still sell gyros and burgers and hot dogs and ice cream. They now serve hand dipped along with soft serve. Be aware that there's a "service charge" for using a card so bring cash if you'd like to avoid paying an extra three percent. They lost a star for that alone. Also, expect to wait. Service is very slow. It's slow because they fill orders in the order that they are taken. So, even if you order a single soft serve cone, you'll have to wait until the three orders ahead of you consisting of six burgers, a corn dog, several complicated shakes and sundaes, and a partridge in a pear tree are complete before they'll fill a cone with vanilla soft serve and pass it to you. They lost a star for every five minutes that I waited. Anyway, if you've got time to kill, it's a great little spot with picnic tables and the food is good.

Yelp
This is a true hidden gem. I bought their banana sundae here and it came with pineapple, chocolate and strawberry syrup. It was gigantic and it was only 4 to 5 bucks which was a super deal. It was so good we kept ordering more. We ordered their bologna sandwich, pork sandwich, corn dog and their fried pickles. Their fried pickles were battered with corn cake batter. All were delicious. They always have a drive thru if you happen to be just driving, finds and it had to get going. The place also sells gyro. This place very unique and packs with so much amazing treats.

Yelp
Quaint roadside icecream eatery with several hand scooped option, swirl flavors and assorted sundaes to enjoy. Picnic tables in front and side of building to enjoy the treats or order from the menu. The banana split is fun, it comes in a big circle bowl surrounded by sliced bananas, soft serve vanilla and the standard split toppings with a dollop of whipped cream and that cherry on top.

Yelp
Good espresso shake and hard ice cream. This place might not be as quaint as Polly's a few miles up the road but I'll take Lazy Sundaes ice cream and milk shakes any day. Friendly service and gave a nice sample when asked about trying a flavor. Plus they have drive-thru.

Yelp
Wonderful place for fun milkshakes and food! They have weekly specials that sometimes use locally sourced foods. The employees are always kind and caring as well. Georgetown's must try spot!

Natalie W.

Yelp
Best gyro everrrr. Great service. I live in Louisville and we went to Marengo Cave and it was on the way. However. I'd make the drive again to eat there.

Yelp
I was recommended this spot by some locals when I had some business at the local Town Hall. I honestly went with the intention of only getting ice cream but it was nearly lunch time and figured I could splurge and get a meal so I had the full experience to review. Lazy Sundaes is a small spot so I was the only person there other than someone at the drive thru when I walked up to the window to order. I waited until the cashier finished helping the drive-thru customer. She then came over to me. She was very patient when I told her it was my first visit. I asked her what milkshake she recommended. She said the peanut butter marshmallow was her favorite (which is my favorite too). It wasn't on the menu but I trusted her and greatly enjoyed the secret menu item she granted me access to. Being an ice cream junkie, I know what is good. This shake was good. My burger and fries were delicious as well. The prices were reasonable so I recommend this spot without hesitation. They will take a card fro an extra fee.

Yelp
Great ice cream! I enjoyed it a lot. Yum! The service was great and the atmosphere was nostalgic.

Yelp
I'm kind of an ice cream buff during the summer- I like to try as many ice cream shops as I can June through August- and let me tell you, I think Lazy Sundaes has all the other ice cream shacks beat. They have a ton of variety when it comes to both food and ice cream flavors. On the hottest day in Southern Indiana in 2019, I ordered the Chocolate Banana Milkshake (this shake is so good that just thinking about it makes my mouth water) and some of their hand cut and perfectly seasoned french fries. I used their outdoor seating but sat towards the back in the shade- and let me tell you, my 'meal' hit the spot just right. The prices and seating are fantastic, not to mention the location is perfect- it's so close to the Georgetown Drive-In Theater That you could grab a meal or treat from the drive in right before going to watch a movie!

Yelp
Wasn't impressed. They messed my coney dog and my gyro had 2 of the thinnest sliced pieces of meat in it ever. I could almost see through it it was so thin. Very little parking. Won't go back.

Yelp
You won't find a better sundae or shake around this area! Get the Banana Pudding shake, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Nice spot for a burger, gyro or ice cream. Outdoor seating and perfect for a nice night.

Yelp
Great spot nearby for us to get our shake fix. Our favorites are the Raspberry and Chocolate Cake Shakes. Yum!

Yelp
I gave a glowing review back in 2018 and now this place is even better. Last year I thought the French fries were disappointing and today you would be hard pressed to find another eatery with better tasting fries. Salty, crisp and a great pairing with those gyros. The onion rings were winners too. And my wife loved the Greek salad.
google avatar

Jade S.

Yelp
A must try! The gyros are amazing & unique! Handcrafted shakes are fresh & made to order, along w/everything else! Great burgers too! Everything is good & fresh. It's such a fun atmosphere. Sit outside & enjoy the day or get it to go. Prices are great, especially for the quality food.

Yelp
The food and staff are awesome. They've kept the gyros and Greek salad from the previous owners and added so many new foods. The prices are low enough that you can enjoy a nice meal and a dessert. I love supporting local!

Liz K.

Yelp
When it was Aj's their Greek salads were the bomb! Well worth the money and very filling. I've had the Greek salad 4 times since the new owner took over an as much as I like the new owner too, the quality and quantity of the Greek salad has slipped to substandard. It's mostly lettuce and not romaine. The tomatoes, cucumbers an onions are very meager I was told I only 4 slices of cucumbers! After 4 bad experiences I will not get their Greek Salad again. I will buy my own ingredients and have enough to make several salads. Their gyros are good and well worth the money as are a lot if they're other items, corn dogs are delicious, as well as the breaded mushrooms and onion rings! And where else can you get fried bologna! Their various shebert and ice cream treats are still yummy!

Yelp
I love ice cream and I have eaten it at plenty of places around southern Indiana and Louisville. Sadly, I was unable to eat here tonight due to a few things. 1. No one was wearing a mask. I understand it may not be required in the state of Indiana, however, we are still in a pandemic. I was willing to look past this, while this is my own preference. 2. After getting over the mask aspect, we ordered two simple things- a simple chocolate cone and an Oreo milkshake. We're thinking, ok, yeah there are a few people already waiting, but I'm sure it may not take over 15 mins. 3. After 20 mins, and seeing little to no food or ice cream leaving the window, I expressed my frustration to my friends. A lady walking to her car with her sundae in hand said, yeah I'm not happy either, I just waited 45mins for my sundae. (Maybe I'm just used to people working a little bit faster?) 4. 30 minutes after placing our orders, they called our number and said "were actually out of Oreos..." SO, at this point we're frustrated and disappointed, and our whole party asks for our money back. Which brings me to the last piece of this slow, lazy sundae experience. 5. They tried to refund me incorrectly. I understand a simple math mistake, but I literally had my receipt in my hand with the amount and was so surprised when I saw the cashier doing math to give me a refund. As you can tell, I really like ice cream and I may be a little bit too passionate about a good ice cream experience. But, this was quite the disappointment.

Yelp
The experience we had today was fine. The employees were very kind and willing to answer all of our questions about the sizes how different sundaes are made, but there is not a big selection of different types "styles" or flavors of ice cream. I was disappointed that there isn't any type of "flurry" as they are my absolute favorite type of treat. I ended up getting an M&M sundae which is basically M&Ms on the bottom of a cup, a layer of ice cream (chocolate or vanilla), M&Ms on top, and whipped cream. It was okay, but the ice cream wasn't amazing, and the sundae itself was rather plain. Prices were fine for what we were given. Other than the limited selection of types or "styles" of ice cream, not the tastiest ice cream, and the rather plain candy sundae, I would say it wasn't a bad trip. We probably won't be back, though. We are a Polly's Freeze family!

Radia C.

Yelp
It took probably 45 minutes to get the two shakes and sundaes that I had ordered. One of the cookie dough sundaes had no cookie dough it!!Other than that, the food was good and I would come again if there were less people.

Lee D.

Yelp
the fries are to die for literally i punched my brother so i could have one. and my milkshake is really good. 10/10 would recommend. it is busting and exquisite.

Kayla B.

Yelp
Stopped in to get ice cream. Ordered a chocolate cake shake and a banana pudding shake. Service was friendly and fast. Chocolate cake shake was pretty good but the banana pudding shake was heaven in a cup. We will be back for more!
