Google
Honestly, looking at the pictures from the reviews looks like the food would taste good gave it a try It wasn’t tasteful or good at all. The food looks good but has no taste. It looks like they just flavored the food with just soy sauce and spicy. Order the sweet spicy shrimp noodle looks good, but didn’t taste anything wouldn’t come back. The place looks out rated and needs to be cleaned.

Google
First-time customer. was looking for my new Chinese spot that had real chicken and beef not leftover chewy meat. So glad I took a chance and tried this place out. I ordered the pepper steak dinner, sweet and sour chicken dinner with a side of crab rangoon and egg drop soup. The chicken was perfectly cooked and a sweet and sour sauce is one of the best I've had in a long time. The pepper steak did not disappoint either. I'm really picky when it comes to egg rolls I'm not a big fan of shrimp in mine and their egg rolls has no shrimp and lots of flavor. One of the best egg rolls I've eaten. If you've never had crab rangoon before you have to try theirs. I've had my fair share of these entrees at many other Chinese restaurants in this restaurant is #1.

Google
We ordered the shrimp lo mein, General Tso’s chicken, green beans, and two egg rolls to go. Everything was so good! The green beans were our favorite; perfectly cooked and super flavorful. The shrimp in the lo mein was really high quality, way better than what I’ve had in other lo mein dishes. I also appreciated that it wasn’t overly salty. The General Tso’s was nice and crispy too. I’ll definitely be back!

Google
I did a carryout and the service was great. Food was hot, and tasty. I ordered almond boneless chicken with rice and a side of egg drop soup. The meal usually comes with an egg roll but I requested to substitute it for extra rice. They also have a beautiful dining area. I suggest people to visit this location for carryout or dine in. It is a great value and the food tastes great.

Google
LC’s Asian Kitchen is a hidden gem! Don’t let the unassuming strip mall location fool you—this place is all about amazing food and great service. Their egg drop soup is absolutely delicious, hands down the best I’ve had. My go-to dish is the almond boneless chicken, perfectly crispy and flavorful, and you have to try their egg rolls—they’re a must-have! While I love dining in for the cozy atmosphere, it’s impressive how busy they are with DoorDash and carryout orders. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making every visit a great experience. If you’re looking for top-notch Asian cuisine, LC’s is the place to be!

Google
I’m sorry but I thought it was terrible. I was really excited because of the sheer volume of food. Every piece of chicken was overly deep fried which dried out the meat. Some pieces were just breading but even then it was so overly fried it didn’t taste good. Maybe others like it this way but not me. I upgraded to the spring roll and it wasn’t very good. The steamed vegetables were nice but I can’t believe they were $6. A handful of people recommended this place but unfortunately I will not return.

Google
I watched a food reviewer eat here and he had me convinced. Was looking for a new restaurant anyways. He said tried the orange chicken. Omg best I've ever had. Loved it with white rice. The fried rice was okay. Loved the wanton soup. Portions out of this world for the price. Busy on weekends is a small place. Get it for take out or earlier in the day. I WILL be back. Found my new favorite place

Google
Really good fried rice, other stuff was average. Just did a quick take out & the food was quick to come out. The sweet & sour chicken is crispy with a sauce on the side. Didn't think it was dry & had plenty on meat in each nugget. Just okay for me. Dumplings were soggy, so maybe not order take out for it. Expected to be crispy, sad it wasn't. Also got the orange chicken & flavoring was not my liking either. Still trying to find something better than Panda.

Yelp
Always delicious, good portions! Quality neighborhood spot for Chinese. Can't recommend enough

Yelp
We've ordered from this place for the last 5 years or so. I remember before the world shut down in 2020, it was a really good place for Chinese food. Now, not so much. I don't know if there are new owners, new cooks, or are just cheaping out on the ingredients. Seems there's no good Chinese food places in the Hazel Park area anymore. The search continues. Anyway, I had the beef and broccoli and it was just okay. Very heavy handed with the salt though. I ordered the spring roll instead of the regular egg roll, since the egg rolls are not very good.I have to say, it was the ABSOLUTE WORST spring roll I've ever had. It tasted like it was once frozen, then thawed out when they deep fried in really old oil, then dipped in salt. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I highly doubt we will order from them again. It was that bad.

Kasey O.

Yelp
My favorite lo mein in the area! It can be hard to find one that isn't drenched in grease but this one is light and flavorful! Only note is that I would like there to be more veggies in it, when ordering as a vegetarian, appt of places sprinkle veggies on which would be considered unacceptable if it were meat.

Sari G.

Yelp
We are always looking for good Chinese food. I keep hearing good things about LC's so we wanted to give it a try. We got the hot and sour soup, which was absolutely amazing. I would probably order the soup by itself, I liked it so much. We also got the sesame chicken and the sweet and sour chicken. The sesame chicken was great. The egg roll was not my favorite. I would probably try a spring roll next time but I think it's safe to say we will be back.

Michael T.

Yelp
We "had" to try it bc of all the reviews. Had orange beef and moo shu pork. Takeout. Spicy orange beef was as expected: very Americanized, VERY sweet, not Spicy at all, really saucy. First few bites were good and addicting, then the sweetness was overwhelming and could not keep eating. Kind of like orange chicken. Just not my preference: fried and drenched in sugary sauce. To some this may sound amazing. Mu shu pork was ok. It had a blend of everything from pork to cabbage to wood ear. The "pancakes" provided were not good. They broke apart easily and leaked sauce all over the place. Taste was average standard American Chinese fare. Portion was ok. They were above average but not by a whole lot like some posts suggested. I'm glad I tried this restaurant and 100% this is not authentic Chinese which does not advertise to be. It is overpriced when ordering from 3rd parties like dd or grubhub. I will stick to authentic Chinese restaurants in the future.

Alyssa S.

Yelp
My go to Chinese take out place! All their food is delicious! They are always busy but they are fast. The portions are huge as well. Typically get the general Tsos chicken and the house special fried rice but didn't get a picture. This place is definitely worth the try!!

Rebecca W.

Yelp
I like getting my Thai food here, it's quaint place in a strip mall but with heavily traffic. It's better to call in an order. If you order online off of the site which is Grub Hub they added $5.00 to each meal. One weekend I did the order online and paid an average of $18 for 3 meals. I forgot to tell them no mushrooms so I didn't get to eat mine. So my husband went out the next day to get me what I ordered without mushrooms. I called in the order and when he got there it was only $13 & change. This is how I learned Grub Hub is a total price gauge. I like the my vegetables are cooked but not overly done. I like to get the Thai peanut. This time the baby corn was a little bigger than Norman and lacked the sweet flavor from the smaller ones. The spice level I like to work with on this dish is medium with white rice. I don't like the egg in the fried rice so white is the only option.

Mina M.

Yelp
Very pleased with my takeout order on a very busy Christmas day. The sweet and sour sauce came on the side of the chicken - allowing us to enjoy crispy and not soggy chicken by the time we got to eat it. The chicken was great - good pieces that weren't greasy or fatty like other Chinese places. Chicken lo mein and chicken fried rice were flavorful and delicious - not too salty. The guy manning the front was very nice. Go, LCs!

Toni T.

Yelp
This is the best food I've had in my 50 something years of eating Chinese food. When I first moved into my I ordered the chicken egg foo young. I opened the box and was in awe. This place actually has the chunks of chicken, so the egg foo young is not a flat patty by any means. Service is great here eating in or carry out. The ambiance is perfect. I get the Chicken Pad Thai noodle. Delicious..........They always get it right on!!

A J.

Yelp
Good, basic Chinese food. Wanted a quick meal on an unexpectedly busy day. The food was ready in about 10" and was quite tasty! Generous portions. I will be back.

Alexis B.

Yelp
I just want everyone to know that this place is AMAZING. Just absolutely delicious, hot, high quality food, huge portions, friendly and fast service. Five stars, five stars, five stars. We're now obsessed and will be regulars.

Michael P.

Yelp
High quality standard fare. Good was made quickly and it is what you expect. Interior is a little ask and they seem to be short staffed, but I just do carry out and it's great.

Patty H.

Yelp
Great place. Super friendly. Food is consistently good and LC's is our go to for Chinese. Updated menu photos below.

Ron T.

Yelp
food was decent fast service take out was ready in 10 minutes. When I picked up they quickly finished making the order of chicken egg foo young (4) pieces. entree size chicken with vegetables (1) quart and white rice pint I always buy quarts of the food to share for a meal. (1) quart General Tau chicken and white rice pint. Next time I will get the chicken and vegetables as a combo with a eggroll and fried rice and order more eggrolls and their krab ragoon triangles prepared with a crust of fried puffy dough filled with fake crab and cream cheese, served with a sweet sause I believe it is 5-6 pieces for sharing. Their spring rolls are large and delicious too. I also reccomend thier thai dishes and I also tried orange Chicken and want to try the orange beef. They have shrimp servec with lobster sauce. The dining inside is a great option for a get together.

Lynne B.

Yelp
Ordered a carry out tonight and after getting to my friends house 25 mins later opened to find the wrong order. I ordered Lc chicken with brown rice. Instead they gave me fried rice with shrimp and chicken. When I called to complain the man that answered the phone said he would give me a credit. Then a woman called back and asked that I take a picture as I was wrong and got what I ordered. I complied and sent a picture. Then the man called me back and said that was my order and hung up on me. I've never been so disrespected. I love their food but being called a liar and then hung up on , I won't be coming back.

Yolanda L.

Yelp
I ordered the sesame chicken with shrimp fried rice it was very delicious the service was amazing the ambiance is ok just your little quiet and calm restaurant it is in a strip mall.

Erik R.

Yelp
LC's Asian kitchen is our go to Chinese place to get take out. A good Chinese restaurant is hard to find and I'm happy we found LCs. Our go to order is usually a sesame chicken dinner and almond chicken dinner. Both with shrimp fired rice. The sesame chicken is fantastic and the almond chicken is some of the best I've had. Perfectly crispy with awesome flavor. Our last trip we tried the Mongolian beef. We weren't fans of it so we won't order next time. Prices can be a bit high but the portion sizes are huge. I would highly recommend LCs Asian kitchen. One of the best Chinese restaurants around.

Fern S.

Yelp
The food is good, but I wish you could order combination plates when dining in. The service is excellent. This is my second time dining in. There's just enough tables in there so people are not overcrowded.

Food G.

Yelp
Best asian places I have had recently.... Try it out... for real never even knew this place was around wish I did

T P.

Yelp
I ordered the Singapore noodles and the noodles with beef and it was so delicious and piping hot. I would definitely come back again.

Edward B.

Yelp
Went for birthday dinner. Not a lot of people in, mostly take out so we had the restaurant to ourselves. Great food.

John H.

Yelp
Szechuan Chicken was really really good. I love that I don't have to pick a spice level. It says hot and that's the way this dish is intended. The spice level was a perfect "Hot." The chicken was tender, broccoli was perfectly undercooked. Great flavor. Very tasty. :)

Charlie P.

Yelp
We visited LC's for dine-in lunch. We noticed a conspicuously posted sign: No refunds or exchanges if unhappy with food. Undeterred -- we assumed it was to prevent folks from finding an excuse not to pay. FYI: Lunch combinations may or may not be available depending on the day of the week. Our dishes came with excellent Wonton soup. We also ordered good dumplings. But the entrees were really bad. The "almond chicken" amazingly came without almonds -- let alone scallions or shredded lettuce. It was pounded chicken cutlets served with a thick Brown sauce. Period. The duck was not crispy and rather greasy with very little edible meat. The waitress apologized for the chicken dish and claimed that too many folks are allergic to nuts. Hmm -- then why would they order almond chicken and why not tell them what's in store? Service was pleasant and the tea was fragrant. Waitress said we would be sure to get what we wanted -- just ask next time. I doubt there will be a next time.

Cassidy B.

Yelp
Super good takeout! Amazing price for the large amount of food you get! Really good quality too! Wait time was really fast. 10/10

Sheila P.

Yelp
Even the spicy general tso was too sweet for me. Not returning. The rice was very good

Mike B.

Yelp
Does "LC" stand for Loves Chinese? Lotsa Chicken? Legendary Carry-out? Longlistofamazing Choices? Heck if I know. But it's all true. Every word of it. You can get a giant serving of actual chicken breast, a ton of fried rice, and an egg roll, all for $13. And it's actually good? Yes! My go-to is the Orange Chicken.

Chris D.

Yelp
Yes it sure is the best Chinese in town. Hot and sour soup and ginger onion beef was great. I'm looking forward to almond boneless chicken next

Aaron B.

Yelp
Been here several times since moving to the area. They have dine-in service open and my old spot, Golden City, still doesn't. The first time I came I was made aware they are including a tip/service fee in the price when you dine in only. I'm assuming that's what it is for. Unfortunately it means I will tip less. $14.50 for almond boneless chicken dinner is steep. And I thought Trizest was bad charging $13. But the flavor and portion size (big portion of chicken) prevailed. Sometimes Golden City and Trizest mess up the chicken, but so far every time it's been good here. Crispy coating, moist tender meat, and flavorful gravy. But tonight? You gave me a 'wonton noodle soup' size cup of rice. With my dinner. I had to ask for extra rice and I've never done that in my entire life, and I'm about to be 39. Chinese restaurants ALWAYS give plenty of food for that price where you would be stuffed. No egg roll with the dinner option, either. I complained but wasn't going to let a language barrier get in the way. I paid extra $2.00 for another side of rice. Which made my total as $17.50 with tax, and I left a $2 tip. $19.50 for almond boneless chicken dinner dine-out. Kinda ridiculous, eh?

Aimee L.

Yelp
Best old school Chinese & Thai in the area! They were precise in making sure my allergy needs were met. I absolutely loved the pad Thai!

Jess L.

Yelp
The only reason I stopped here was because I was in the area. It's about 25 minutes from me, but I'd likely drive for it if I want Chinese again. We got Hunan chicken and chicken- broccoli. The ingredients were fresh, the sauce was flavorful, and the portions large. Definitely some of the best Chinese food I have had. Only complaint is that the eggrolls were dry and flavorless, with little filling. But the rest of the food was 5-stars.

Amanda V.

Yelp
Our goto! We live in Royal Oak. I am a REALTOR and I suggest to all my clients as well.

Liz P.

Yelp
3.5/5 but I will found up to 4 stars. I had been wanting to try out this restaurant for a while, and I had a DoorDash gift card to use and saw that they were on there, so I placed an order tonight. I ordered a pint of wonton soup and the pepper beef. I made a note asking for mild spice for the pepper beef, just in case, and they followed instructions. The wonton soup was good but nothing special. The beef was a good deal because it was one of their dinner specials, where you get egg fried rice and an egg roll with it. You can also pay a little bit more to upgrade to a spring roll. The egg roll came with what I think was duck sauce and it was delicious. The dinner itself was a very generous portion and I definitely have enough for lunch tomorrow. The beef was a little bit salty and it came with something that looked like capers, when I looked it up apparently it's green peppercorns and it's often used in Thai food. I give this place an extra half star for its packaging: it wrapped the entree styrofoam in an additional bag, which was good because it was leaking a bit, and it also put some styrofoam in between layers in the bag (one layer was my soup and also some crispy wontons, second layer was my entree). I wouldn't rush to order LCs again, but the food that I got was pretty good overall. On DoorDash the dinner combos are like $12-13 which isn't bad, either (and I'm willing to bet it's even cheaper at the restaurant itself).

Audrey L.

Yelp
Fast service, delicious food! I ordered two dinner meals for takeout, everything was great!

Rachel T.

Yelp
Covid update: I ordered sesame chicken and shrimp with Chinese vegetables. They have plexiglass and a pick up window. You just go into the first door to pay and pick it up. I am happy with the shrimp and mixed vegetables. Depending on the restaurant, sometimes there's only four pieces of shrimp so I don't usually order this dish. Today it was a really good ratio of shrimp to vegetables and it tasted really good too. So would get this dish again if from LC's!

Robert M.

Yelp
Food was ok, nothing to rave about. I tried it based on other reviews. LoMein was tasty.

Fr.Charlie F.

Yelp
Excellent General Tso's Chicken (though I can't remember whether that's the spelling they use...there seems to be a historical debate about how this general spelled his name) and the pork dumplings are some of the best around. The portions are very generous and online ordering is straightforward, with efficient and friendly pick-up. The General's Tso's sauce is a touch too sweet for my taste, but that is a minor point. Also, it comes with white rice. I didn't see an option for a dinner combination with an egg roll/fried rice, though I may have missed something. Overall, it's a great place with its own unique flavor. God bless!

Lisa W.

Yelp
Best authentic Chinese food in the area or even in most areas !! The portion sizes are great and the food always taste fresh! Love the garlic fried rice and orange chicken.

P W.

Yelp
Food was a little salty. It's was good and fast. When got finished there was a salt after taste. Positive side - drank a lot of water

Barb L.

Yelp
Order from them often, and never disappointed. Very yummy, especially the Orange Beef!

Kris C.

Yelp
Probably my favorite Chinese in the area! The spicy orange beef is amazing! It's not spicy hot but full of flavor. The LC chicken is fantastic as well. They are quick with your carry out and the prices are comparable to other asian in the area. Not super crazy about their eggrolls but they are acceptable. Would love it if they had a brown rice option but everything is so good, not going to skip going there because of that. Definitely worth checking out.

Beth B.

Yelp
We came here for the first time tonight. They did a great job with takeout, practicing excellent covid 19 safety precautions. We ordered egg drop, hot and sour, crab rangoons, egg rolls, sesame chicken and Szechuan chicken. What we loved: the portions are huge and a very good value. The sesame chicken (my husband can't stop raving about it.) It's crispy and sweet and prepared with white meat chicken. The egg drop soup, delicious and smoky just like we like it. Crab rangoons, also huge and filled with very flavorful crab cream cheese. What was ok: Szechuan chicken, full of fresh veggies and a very healthy portion, just lacked something special for me other than a healthy stir fry. Fried rice, good, a little bland but good, not amazing. What we didn't like: egg rolls, in my opinion, complete garbage. The only thing inside was bland overcooked cabbage. Hot and sour soup, wayyyyy too sour, almost wondering if it was a mistake. Dipping sauce for crab rangoons and egg rolls tastes like a vinaigrette instead of a sweet dipping sauce. I would ask for sweet and sour sauce or something if they don't have anything else available. Overall we liked it, just want to try some other entrees next time. Although my husband can't get enough sesame chicken, so he'll probably get that again!

Amy B.

Yelp
I always get chinese on Christmas, and try to check a new place out if I can. I came here because it wasn't to far from home and they had a decent amount of reviews. Walking in, the place is simply decorated with a fair amount of tables and chairs. I was seated shortly after arriving and reviewed the menu. They have a ton of food to choose from with a lot of choices. I wasn't sure what to get, so I went with the Orange Chicken. I secretly wanted crab rangoon, but passed because I felt it was going to be to much food for me. When the food came out, I was impressed with how large of a portion I got. I would have loved to have had more rice to go with it. I felt there wasn't enough rice. The chicken was good, and I was happy overall with my entire experience again. This isn't a bad place, but doesn't seem to blow me away either. Overall a decent experience with reliable food and good service. Thank you for being open LC's, you are awesome.

K S.

Yelp
The absolute best Chinese in the area! We've ordered food from LC's for years. Our favorite dishes are the sesame chicken combo, sweet and sour shrimp, crab rangoons, and wonton soup. Their online ordering is super convenient.

Mike V.

Yelp
Our favorite Chinese restaurant by far. Great carry out but even better if you eat in. We have tried many of their dishes and were never disappointed.

Layli R.

Yelp
We've been coming here since during Covid and it's been great. Except this last time on Saturday we were craving good Chinese. Ordered Mongolian beef, Thai curry noodles and teriyaki chicken. It was all fresh ingredients however it wasn't good. This is why the 2 star. It was literally like soup, instead of a sauce. The noodles were over cooked, and both the other dishes it was like soup with not cut up veggies. Not good at all, very disappointing and now need to find a new Chinese restaurant.

Gary B.

Yelp
Ordered for pickup during covid time. Located in a strip mall. Menu is the usual assortment of Americanized Chinese and Thai. The food was done on time, well packaged, and done well. Both of out meals tasted great. The prices were pretty good. There is really not much else you want from a take out Chinese place.

Loren C.

Yelp
I was not impressed, it seemed to me that the Chicken was aged and stringy . Our service was extremely slow. Now some of this could be that we came early in the week , and labor issues that is hurting everyone. But a 3 is a 3, it is not a 5.

Ab I.

Yelp
Amazing. Delicious. Never had a bad meal from LCs 10/10!!! Definitely recommend the Singapore street noodle!

Alaina C.

Yelp
UPDATE: I've ordered from here like 4 times since my first review and they nail it EVERY TIME!!! LOVE this place.

Kelly D.

Yelp
Calming environment, good service, a great portion / price for a lunch special, and a beautiful / clean bathroom!
