LDU Coffee To Go

The service was super friendly, he helped me pick out a drink since it was my first time there. I got an iced latte with oatmilk and an extra shot of espresso. He asked about particulars I wouldn’t have thought of. My drink was out in a couple of minutes, and it tasted great! Definitely recommend and will be back.

LDU is easily the best coffee I’ve found in this part of Dallas. With so many coffee shops up and down Garland Road (and I’ve tried most of them), LDU stands out for quality and consistency. Every time I’m in town, this is the place I go back to. I especially enjoy their Long Black, it has become my go to for a perfect start to the morning. Highly recommended for anyone who actually cares about good coffee, not just atmosphere.

A great coffee shop run by wonderful people. Been in a few times now and the staff are truly the nicest people, making it a point to remember your name and have a convo with you. It helps that the coffee is excellent as well.

Good coffee and the service is good until it isn’t! I’ve patronized this business since it opened in my neighborhood. I am a regular customer. Last year I mistakenly ordered from the wrong location. They would not allow me to get my order made there. They suggested that I drive across town. No good. I’ll take that loss! Safe to say that I did not return for more than a year. I gave them another shot recently. Pretty good, back up to four times a week. Today I tried something new, didn’t realize that it was iced. I again asked for a concession. Just a black coffee. No good. Policy is policy… “since I ordered it, they’d have to charge me”. Cool Not very accommodating to mistakes.

Delightful. Great espresso. More to-go oriented but we had a nice little stay nonetheless. The owner is awesome and cares about the quality of their drinks and service. Will definitely be back, and hope an affogato will be available next time :)

I love everything about this place! The staff is always SO nice and the coffee is absolutely delicious! Do yourself a favor and get a cowboy with vanilla and oat milk! You will not be disappointed.

A little on the more expensive side, $10 for a basic Cortado, but what is well worth it is the atmosphere. While, enjoying your espresso, you’ll get to be entertained by the number of hipsters that filter through openly talking about their mental disorders. You’ll walk out of their energized and feeling better about yourself immediately.

Great coffee and atmosphere. People here really are considerate towards guests. We had a pleasant experience. Coming back again.

I visited LDU a few weeks ago and everyone was so nice. Today I stopped by again and they are so welcoming and very friendly. I ordered a vanilla latte and cinnamon swirl loaf. The loaf is slightly toasted with butter,it was delicious. I got up to leave and threw my trash away, they thanked me by name. Such a refreshing pleasant environment, feels like a real neighborhood coffee shop. Keep up the great customer service LDU staff!!

If you haven't ordered the Marco Pollo, you are missing out on a delicacy. We order this sandwich every time we visit LDU! It's actually been the reason why I've been on the verge of buying a panini machine and why I haven't tried any other sandwich... Service is always 10/10. Everyone is so sweet and no matter what time you go the environment is laid back. You have people studying and others there with their children! It's so inviting! Also, the drinks are always delicious! I got an iced dirty chai (love how it's a good mix of spice and sweetness) and my husband got an iced coffee light ice.

The brassiere selections are top notch folks! Love the staff. Service w smiles and friendliness and still being themselves...novelty and appreciated. Easy to slide in and out. Quick and convenient when you or ahead especially Clean and well laid out and not overcrowded. Fresh

A nice place to relax and finish some work on my laptop. I spend alot more time than I should here but service is nice enough to make up for it!

The coffee shop is small and quiet. Not a lot on the menu so better if you like simpler coffees or like a chai tea. There are no outlets so not best place to study if you need that. Service was a little slow for only being 2 drinks and a sandwich when it wasn't busy. People who came after us got their drinks and pastries before we did so that was a little frustrating. Our latte and chai tea were pretty good! Biggest thing was slow service

Came in to LDU, ordered a coffee and sandwich, sandwich was good I ordered the honey vanilla latte and it was not great. Couldn't taste the honey or vanilla. Asked where the bathroom was and was told I had to go outside and around the building to the back to go to the bathroom...... was planning on doing some work while having lunch..... gotta have a hot spot because they have no wifi!! Not coming here again

Wish we had one of these in Louisiana. Great coffees and chai latte. Pastries and breakfast sandwiches are great to take home and enjoy.

Delicious coffee and the homemade oatmeal square pastry at the cash register is amaze balls. The ambience is very chill it's the perfect little coffee spot for good vibes

First time at this location. Disappointed that there are no seasonal drinks or matcha. We go to a coffee shop every day- ritually. Our favorites are Lemma, 1418, Arwa, Magnolia, White Rock, The White Rabbit, Staycation, etc...Not just for the coffee and ambiance but because THEY HAVE BATHROOMS FOR THEIR PAYING CUSTOMERS! Could not believe it-TMI, but we were halfway to our car from leaving a restaurant. Told my husband oh no I should have used the restroom before we left, but I'll just go when we get to the coffee place. As a 55 year old woman that once gave birth to a 10 lb 1 oz baby-waiting is not smart, but we were only about 10 minutes away from LDU. Paid for our drinks and first thought is Okay, NOW I have to go to the bathroom. BUT WHAT, they say no public restroom. You can clearly see it is an emergency for me and I honestly think they thought it was funny. I nervously went outside looking around and had to go next door to Jimmy John's. Like WTH. At a place where drinks AND food is served, you don't have a bathroom for customers. Never again.

Not often do you come to a place where the asking of ones name is personal, that it's not a quick transaction, even more rare is that the staff would introduce themselves and then remember your name! I came here for 1 simple reason- a sign on the road that said- best latte ever- was it my personal best ever- no- but it was darn good! ( the best ever was at culture coffee in englewood, fl) The sandwich I had was outstanding as well. This shop is well run, nicely set up and I hope does really well for years to come! Thanks for the great visit- don't live here or I would return often!

WAIT A FUCKIN MINUTE! The folks who brought you a great cuppa on Fitzhugh ...have a location right next to HYPNOTIC DONUTS?? Amazing!! So I do a walk at White rock with my faithful companion, good doggo buddo, Finch and as I'm driving out ..I always try to ignore the siren call of Hypnotic Donuts But today...my eyes were magnetically pulled...and it was my birthday...and I was like....bday donut??....but then I saw LDU and was ....NAY!!! BDAY badass latte!! Ayyyyye! I walked in and homie at the register thought my name was Diana...and I was like...no sir ..that indeed is not my name. But how cool is it that they try to remember their regulars?? Sweet sweet man. So I ordered a "strong, 10oz vanilla latte with oat milk." And y'all....they just do great coffee. Beautifully pulled espresso, smoothly steamed milk....delicious. And what a perfect way to kick off my bday. Thanks y'all! (PS...tiny little indoor space to sit ... Not the most comfy...but there are places to rest your cheeks upon ;) ) if you want a more worky-environment...go to the location at Fitzhugh. And yes...same early ass hours...so go early bc they close early-ish. Ok byeeee!

First time to visit this location. The East Dallas coffee scene is legit so there's lots of competition. Definitely add LDU to the rotation. Delicious coffee, coffee cake was buttered and toasted, and the service was exceptional.

New coffee spot in East Dallas. Had a cappuccino and their veggie sandwich (sweet potatoes, feta, pecans and more). Coffee was super smooth and the sandwich was AMAZING - huge flavor. Will be back for more coffee and to try their pastries which look equally amazing.

This is a real coffee connoisseur experience. Great selection of coffee and espresso drinks with high quality beans, knowledgeable staff

my espresso machine was being repaired so I tried all the coffee shops around casa linda area. I didnt really hate any of them - they were all ok but the coffee at LDU was exceptional. i think if they had wifi and a bathroom it would be wildly popular.

Y'all what kind of coffee shop doesn't have a customer bathroom?! I've been to the location on lower Greenville once and knew they would have hard wooden furniture so wasn't planning to stay long but no customer bathroom is unacceptable considering you are already paying for overpriced subpar coffee. What do you even offer to customers? Might as well be an order at the window and take your coffee with you business.

We feel so lucky that LDU opened right down the street from us! It's conveniently located in a lot with tons of parking and hypnotic donuts (if you're looking for a sweet treat to go along with your coffee). We've been twice now - we loved the latte and turkey sandwich (called the Sisi, I think), but the best part of our experience has always been the service. The staff are so nice and helpful!!! This location also has some indoor and outdoor seating. We can't wait to come back for more.

HIGHLY recommend the Cinnamon Swirl Loaf if you're feeling hungry, and the coffee is wonderful. Very chill and relaxed atmosphere, very kind staff. Can't say enough nice things!

I absolutely love the coffee! Customer service is the best. Everyone is attentive, helpful and accommodating. The first time I went in they were closing but still took my order and made me feel welcome. The second time I went in (several weeks later) they remembered me and what I ordered the first time. As for the coffee, I ordered the black both times and it's rich and not over bearing. It's served hot and made fresh to order. If you love coffee try this place, you will will not be disappointed. I love their coffee!

Stoked this place opened up by white rock lake. Got the magic man coffee and it was delish. Friendly staff and good vibes. Will be back soon!

Awesome! I have been looking for a local coffee place that serves good food/snacks and cold brew. Found it! Was overly sick of waiting for my drinks at Starbucks.

Fantastic, friendly service and strong, equally fantastic coffee (particularly the flat whites). And holy moly, the banana bread... So excited to have them in the neighborhood!

Best cappucino in Dallas. Thick, strong, delicious. You can also get sandwiches and some cake or pastries. Friendly staff, convenient location in Garland Rd., easy parking. If you are nr the Arboretum, stop by for a visit. Delicious coffee!!!!! You will be back.

Get the cappa! Also, the sandwiches are ridiculous. Don't miss out on the howzat sauce!

Best coffee in Dallas!! Great vibes. Great people. Sandwiches are amazing. Banana Bread is ridiculously good. Do a dine in cappuccino... u will thank me later. Dooo it.
