We had a wonderful four days stay at Le baptistere. ||The rooms are in a separate building, so you have the feeling of independence. The room is ample. Owing to the weather we had to stay indoors sometimes and that was cozy. There is an additional common room and a kitchenette. Owing to Covid there were less options for outdoor dining, so we went to nearby Pierrefonds where there is a great butcher/traiteur, and twice had a private and tasty dinner "at home" without fuss or work.||The breakfasts are served in the main house. One has a great view from the dining room. I had the feeling of visiting. And of being treated as special, the breakfasts are tasty. This is even more so as there are only three rooms, there is a chance you are all by yourself.||There is ample tourist information. We choose to walk in the nearby woods, enjoyed three different interesting hikes. ||A car is needed for this.||||Then there is the landlady. Distinguished and warm, she answered all emails quickly, helped us with making reservations, yet respectful of privacy.||I can recommend this place warmly, for a stop over during travels further south or north, but also for a longer stay. Especially in summer : there is a swimming pool in the large garden, not available on a stormy february stay, but tempting nevertheless.
